Ah CB in CT you have to see the wood for the trees here .
Are you going to complain now the dollar has fallen against
the pound ? I think not . Carole for goodness sake can't you
see what has happened ? A / Trump not only had to beat
the Democrats he had to beat a goodly number of Republicans
too . So he adopted a risky strategy which coud have gone either
way. B/ Every time Clinton got on message, what did Trump do ?
say something outrageous , who was in the headlines ... TRUMP !
What amazes me is the Democrats didn't seem to get it , so you
end up with Clinton scaring the life out of Women , when she should
have been on the ECONOMY trail . Every time she tried to get on
there , he pulled her off, and successfully to .
The effect of this result is that the left of centre will become more
divided.....ring a bell anyone ? and the right will consolidate on the
back of this weakness .
He now has to deliver ..that's the hard part .

We await with baited breath . !!

One thing is for sure , the establishment have just had a missile dropped
on them , it will be a long while before American politics settles down to
mediocrity again .

All I have to say this morning upon
waking to hear Trump won to be the 45th
President of the United States of America
is
GOD SAVE OUR SOULS ....
My stomach is in knots thinking about it
all we can hope for is that he has some good advisers

Hairdressers today so will see you all later

YAY TRUMP TO WIN !!!!! Now when the dust settles just
think who has commanded the airwaves . It doesn't matter
that he won't do most of what he talked of . When you are
fighting something as awful as the Clintons , if Trump
lived forever he couldn't match Bill Clinton for being the pits.
What were the Dems talking about ... WOMEN what was Trump
talking about ... THE ECONOMY ...REMEMBER THIS "ITS THE
ECONOMY STUPID" the Dems forgot that !! Now he has to deliver.

morning all from a wet and damp Coventry on this historic day .

Trump is now giving his speech , what a different tone .

Oh brekkers it is ....Toodle pip

I have to go back to where I got these new specs
from as I believe I know what the stupid Dr did
it seems like my reading part is on top as the bottom
where it SHOULD be when your reading up close is
ALL blurry
Now when I am sitting the top of my bifocals
is PERFECT as its as clear as a bell ,but I KNOW its not right

Oh I know I should not WANT to THROW things and I only chucked
it sort of ....but I have told him before there is NO REASON
for him to raise his voice to me the way he does on occasion
now ...
Found out he went to the loo ...ANOTHER problem these days
its like having a baby in the house again with what I have to do
Rolling Eyes Mad Mad talktohand I KNOW its not his fault but oh DEAR
headbanger

Think I will go eat dinner then take my shower run run

Carole it's "Here you go then I'll go and watch what I want to in the bedroom"  I know you want to throw it....and do so in your mind.....but DON'T, you just walk away .....or come in here and SCREAM.   But typical Gil going off to shave now he's got the remote.

Yes Margaret where are you?

BTW Carole how's the reading?

I lay on the couch for about 10 mins must have dozed off
as you do ,when I heard in my head that the program we had been
watching had finished and a "soap opera" was on "General Hospital"
been on the TV for YONKS and gets stupider by the year ....so
I went to change the channel as I had the remote ,and Gil is
YELLING 371 {channel } but its all guts and gore on some of these
channels ,then I found one I wanted to watch ,to be told HE had SEEN THAT
and he was yelling CHANGE it CHANGE it ,so
he got the remote thrown towards him and let HIM change it....
So I have come on here ,and NOW HE has gone into the bathroom
to shave  headbanger  headbanger

No procedure Carole......it's exploratory tests & diagnosis.

Oh thanks for the malt biscuit as well Bond......Oops sorry dropped some crumbs.

The most fouled mouth Sir Graham.....and Trump isn't?  And Trumps got various things hanging over his head and if he doesn't get in.....Oh boy the long arm of the  law of USA will certainly be feeling his collar.     Interesting guy came on the TV today David Cay Johnston talking about Trump.....he's known him for 30 years.....if Trump is voted in god help America and the world.

Oh I've got Nancy Reagan's Biography here in my bookcase.....now that's interesting.

Oi Bond I used to be a Sky Blue season ticket holder along with David & Steve & Rob.  "Puts hands on hips"     AND which door did you need smashing down?    Step aside. talktohand

Talking about books I'm loving the book I'm reading.....I'm going to loan it to Susan though I want it back.....I'm keeping it, to find a place in my bookcase though.

My friend in L A who was Reagans P A at one time has met
Clinton on quite a few occasions and says she is the most
foul-mouthed woman she has ever had the displeasure of talking to .

Trump might have said it , but her old man has most likely done it !!

We will know in the morning .

Ooops bash crash tinkle , hmmm Miss sigh Vicky oh those bottle greens .
I'll just measure the snuggle blanket in case we need two hmmmmmmm
help its snowing ... or is it dust . Oh where did you want a hand Miss V

Evening.......had a busy day, went to The Woodlands to see what if any stonewear (plinth & urn)  they had there but they had lots other other things......figuirines, bird baths etc but no  plinths & urns......so it was to Dobbies.....where we ordered, with no trouble, remember the trouble we had at Palamers "Oh er well I'm not sure we could order them until we've got a lorry load to order but we'll try and we'll phone you back" and we never got that call but at Dobbies "Yes we can order them"  then we had nibbles.....then bought dog food, dog treats, AND a dog basket.....20% off everything....and coupons as well......so a good deal on everything.   Quite chuffed.   Benjie's been in his dog basket.....but he's now curled up next to David on the settee.

Tesco was started in London by Jack Cohen on his market stall in 1919  the name Tesco cropped up in !924 and his first shop was opened in 1929  London.

Bottle greens.....Oh yes    I'll get a pair of those.....or even two pairs.

Give me a hand up Sir Graham Bond wants me to dust the light fittings.....Oops sorry about that Sir Graham all the dust has fallen on your head.....when was this last duster   I'll wait until I'm down before I ask for an inquiry Carole.

Yes it's tomorrow Rob's going to the hospital BUT Rob's just let us know Dawn's coming to take him to the hospital.....just phoned Sylvia with the news "I can make it tomorrow" but she's having the door hung tomorrow.....hopefully.    Oh well best laid plans .....and all that.    Oh I wasn't going to be by the telephone .....I'd get to hear all about it when they got back here.....now they'll either drop in to tell us or Rob will text. confused2

Oh  please Bond.

Oh no Margaret hurry back.......

This is my Facebook post tonight :-
What was better than waking up to Ray Moore , Terry Wogan followed by
Jimmy Young . How many of us miss Terry's TOGS or the banter between
him and J Y at the 0930 change over ! ? Most of us of that age I would think .
One thing they did was transcend the generations . With the passing of J Y can
you imagine them back together again . R I P Jimmy Young , one of the all time
greats .

AH so my desk is now clean , and Miss Vicky ....pleeeeeeeaaaaaaaassssssssssseeee
don't think the snuggle blanket is just for Thursdays , talktohand the cold cold snow
is on it's way . Oh maybe she is rationing her boss affraid affraid affraid affraid
come back littleBlond run run run run run run run run run run run

CB in CT is busy looking after Buddy , and Margaret is taking the cats for their jabs .

So is that my eye from tree?
Yes I remember Tesco when it started in Nuneaton where Mc, Donald is now and it was really stack um high sell um Cheap the walk ways were between the boxs of crisps and cornflakes look where they are now, I hate the car park at Aldi, it's too small for the size of shop but I can park in a empty car park and when I come back there's a big 4x4 next to me
Right last drinks as it dangerous train journey on the box

Sorry I am late but took one cat in for his shots and physical exam.
The Vet squeezed his anal glands a bit too much and got sprayed!
Other than being a bit over weight Jagger is doing well. I have to wait
for three weeks and then I take them both in for another shot as they
cannot all be given at one time.
Its Tabbithas turn this afternoon at 5:20pm.
Also spent sometime on my ipad messaging Ian as he is dealing with
the Collection agency and Chase Bank about the $715.
Then a small problem cropped up with my Verizon cell phone account
so that took at least 3-4 e-mails.

Carole, all I will say is if the flex pipe was already there when you moved in
it is the landladies problem as it is not your fault if the codes changed over
the years. Its the same with gas lines these days, flex lines were allowed
when we had them plumbed in but the codes changed to solid metal lines
now.
A dryer vent if it is not cleaned out at least once a year could catch fire with
all the lint in it and the build up of heat from the hot air.
Mine goes straight out the back of the dryer and does a bend to the left out through
the exterior wall so its not that hard to clean out (Ian did it while he was here )
you can get kits with a thing that looks like a toy chimney sweeps brush and a long flexible
tube that fits down inside the dryer screen slot but it all depends how long the dryer
exhaust is to how big a job it would be.
Think I am going to have a little siesta as I have been up since 6:15am then have some lunch.
Its tiring chasing a cat round and round a room so you can put it in a carrier to go to the
Vets and I have to do it again at 4:45pm! TTFN

Go out....don't be silly I only leaned out of the window to ask if they wanted a coffee and one almost fell off the ladder

That woman had a cheek though Bond giving a £1 and taking TWO large poppies.   Mad   We need to go to Dobbies sometime this week.

They charge 5 pence for a carrier bag EVERYWHERE Carole it's to make people stop and think about bringing a plastic bag for your food OR even clothes/household stuff instead of getting another plastic bag.   The reason we do it is to save the environment ......plastic bags are dangerous for the environment, they don't dissolve, stay around for hundreds of years and they're dangerous for our animals....land & sea.    THOUGH you still see groups of people sending hundreds of balloons into the air for various charity events and THEY'RE just as dangerous and it gets me MAD.     Sorry.....it's just something which I can't abide every time I see it I want to scream.....dolphins/seals and such like eat them and die.

THOUGH in Monsoon they use up market paper carrier bags to put their clothes in so don't charge anything.

No Carole you don't see the trusty old shopping bag as you used to.....   confused2   maybe they should come back.   Though those bags Bond was talking about are good.

You mean you missed reading Sir Graham's posting about the snuggle blanket?  Shocked  I'm shocked......you're slipping. Smile

We've been in Aldi a few times......the one on the A5 but it's a bit.....have a look around and find what you want  I like things to be laid out properly......would be cheaper but not me.   Sorry Bond.

As to that Landlady.....you need that work doing......just get it done and take it out of the rent.....YOU AREN'T DOING ANYTHING WRONG who ever told you you couldn't was wrong.....it has to be done if a job has to be done and the landlord/lady won't do it you can get it done and pay out of the rent.      MARGARET have a word with Carole.

BTW Sir Graham's desk is .....wow look at that shine.

Actually Bond we DO have an Aldi located
about 15miles away in Milford on the
Post Road ,we past it coming back from
the Neurologist last week ,we have been in there
but this was before Gil had a problem walking
around or standing too long ..
Guess I will have to pop over myself one day
when I know Gil is OK to be left

Where did Vicky go to again she is still not
polishing Sire G's desk with MY FEATHER duster
is she ....

Just called the slum landlady ,talk about
the blues ,I asked whats going on with
the repair needed on the furnace as I have not heard
according to her they never called her ,so she would call
them to find out whats going on as I said if we lose all
the water in it it will CRACK the boiler ,but when I said he
was saying the dryer venting tube should be hard piped
she started giving me the "look I am not working I have spent
a lot of $$ on that house I am trying my best blah blah blah "
and she would take care of the Furnace but if its MY DRYER
talktohand NO NO NO she better not lay THAT on me
so waiting now to see what happens ... headbanger

Back later tired tired I is tired tired

Hi Carole, no sorry not home made, they are specifically selected all butter laced with cognac but it's OK I think they just waved the bottle over the mix, they are very nice for of Aldi, it's a wonder Aldi are not over there they are all over Europe and they are taking on the big boys over here and have got them worried, their main distribution centre is here in Atherstone for the UK so all the boxs of goods have our little towns name on the side
As for the bags I think it's more than a PENNY? I bought a book from the charity shop yesterday and it was 5p for the little bag to put it in, it's all to do with slowing down the millions and millions of bags that were being used each week a lot of shops have a bag for life thing THAT'S if you remember to take one so we have these little purse/pocket size ones that open out to a shopping bag size
Right mrsb will be home in a bit So
Later

Ummm is that home made mince pies
Bond ,have not had one in YEARS
I should have remembered and ordered some
from the English Tea shop on line when I ordered
my Xmas cake last night with some Birds Custard
and Malteesers

Well paid my car loan ,popped into Price- Rite shopper
where I get the American sliced cheese 3lb for $6,99 ,that
is what you pay for a pound normally ,they do not bag your groceries
so I take my canvas & insulated bags ,you can buy a large plastic bag
for 10c

Talking of that the guy in the gas station who is from India but who has
family in London told me the other day ,Tesco CHARGES a penny for bags
in the and asked me why confused2 ,how would I KNOW
I told him have not been over in DONKEYS YEARS ,but I was sure
that many people still shopped with their own shopping bags as we did
years ago no confused2

Anyway I bagged another two bags with leaves as the city will be picking them
up after recycle gets picked up Wednesday morning .so wanted to get as
many done so they will not be sitting around the garden for another 2 weeks
We will be having ham steaks diced tomato's flavored with herbs ,sausages
and Tater Tots for dinner

Buddy just ventured back out after sleeping for 3 hrs ...still breezy but not
quite as cold
In the mean time I just made Gil and I a sarnie for lunch ,he has sliced Chicken
and I have some seafood salad
So will return....

MORNING MARGE ....

Guess I missed Sire G's invitation then Vicky
