Hi Malc great to see you popping in......can't blaine you about the ManCave though  Smile  Matt, my SIL has a ManCave .....Susan thinks it's great as well when the girls pop round the *boys* go up stairs to the ManCave (one of the spare bedrooms)  so everyone's happy Smile

How's Gil this morning Carole?

Well cancelled my *Sunday* appointment.....she couldn't understand how I'd got two appointments one for the Saturday & one for the Sunday  confused2   "A case of SOMEONE not looking at my case file" I nearly said.   Anyway it's just the Saturday now.   & legs crossed.

Ok back later......wonder if Bond's made a     oh talking about ManCave that's what Bond needs or was it his shed he'd made into his "get away Cave"

Oh look it's the Orange Seller.   one of my other figurines

I was aware about not being taxed twice on my UK
pension, I will make sure that Brian understands the
situation when he adds up what I owe the IRS.
If the amount for the year is beneath a certain
point I will not have to declare it anyway.

Not feeling too good this morning, ate something
that disagreed with me and it woke me a 3:45am
to tell me that.
I ended up having to shower and change night clothes
and take an Imodium but after another two hours
sleep I am doing a bit better.
I knew I should have resisted buying a premade
sandwich at the grocery store!
I got the rest of the grocery shopping in last
evening so at least I don't have to dress and go
anywhere today.
The cats keep following me as if they are hungry
again and I fed them at around 5am when I was
up to use the toilet for the last time but as far
as they are concerned it was hours ago. They
are not due until midday. They do have Kibbled
and fresh water.

It was such a wonderful day yesterday that I
opened up Big Red to air out and vacuum the
leaves out of the grill and vents hopefully that's
all that was wrong as I told my neighbor, Andy last night,
I have taken Big Red to the carwash several
times and had no leaks anywhere.
I left the windows cracked open a tiny bit to take
advantage of the dry air and sunshine today.
The lock on the drivers door was not working
very well but have given it a couple of squirts
of 3in1 oil and will check it again today.
Also sprayed the floor carpets with a disinfectant
spray to discourage mold.

Carole, Peter took quite a few bangs to the head
when he fell but it never seemed to harm him
and I did check his pupils and ask him stupid
questions to see if he was confused or
concussed. He said he knew how to fall (liar) affraid
If I got that response I knew he was OK.
We always said the Porter men must have been born
with thick skulls !!! ( I know Ian has one)
The number of times I had him at the Dr. to check him
out for head injuries when he was growing up is beyond
belief!
Think its time I went and got a little food in my tummy
and another mug of Yorkshire Gold tea.

I came across a birthday card to me and anniversary card from my FIL and he's been dead 10 years    well I hate throwing certain cards away.....came across a funny one from Carole ....photo of my Saxo car when I changed it to this one saying "Be strong" funnytvprog

It's been horrid weather.....had comfort food for dinner Jacket potato, sausage, bacon & baked beans, though David also had two eggs and of course cheese on his jacket potato.....going to have a slice of carrot cake in a mo.

Pulled up my chair Bond.  Smile

Oh btw did I say I'd finished my book.....thank goodness.    I've got nothing on my kindle to read.....got lots of books I'm keeping but nothing to read.   got lots of books to read though......will have to dig one out OR put one on my kindle.

Love your avatar Bond....summer days having tea &  salad sandwiches & fruit loaf.

My avatar is Haddon Hall, it's the rose garden now but it wasn't in the Edwardian times when this was painted...well water colour done by Lady Victoria Manners the 10th Duke of Rutland was selling some of the water colours and David bought it for me off this antique dealer years ago.....I love it. .

Morning Bond ,well ANOTHER
terrible night ,Gil came into bed around 10pm
long story short he was SUPPOSED to be sitting
on the edge of the bed while I turned the lights
out in the living room he had left on,next thing I hear
BANG !! Blaine came running out his room and helped
me pick his dad up who had fallen and hit his HEAD headbanger
THAT was the start ,after laying down he was up again saying he
could not breathe as it felt like someone was sitting on his chest
So into the living room we came and I lay on the other sofa
but it was again up and down every hour headbanger
Have told him he will have to get dressed and taken to the hospital
as I do not know what he has that is causing this ,all I know is
its wearing ME out as well I am SOOO tired I have a headache Sad

Any way DENSE FOG this morning ,only a 1/4mile visibility
here in Bridgeport ,later tonight ahead of a cold front we will
have some SEVERE weather kicking off THUNDER LIGHTENING Shocked

WHAT a weather pattern

Back later
Good Morning every one

Hello Marge ....Yes hoping these help Gil
as another night like last night I will do my nut
I am making sure he drinks though ...
Saw on Fb about Melanie waiting in San Fran
and needing a fix ....

Also GMA was showing them on the Red Carpet
and Robin Roberts was saying how we are warmer
here on the East Coast than there, and it will stay
that way over the weekend .
Here Saturday will be mild with thunder storms
in the evening ,before our temps take a NOSE DIVE
Sunday dropping from the 60's into the 40's ,before
it RISES AGAIN MONDAY headbanger

Marge we have never gotten a statement from the
UK pension office ,but I believe {correct me if I am wrong}
your Government pensions on which ever country you
live in is NON TAXABLE as you already paid your taxes
on it while working so it cannot be taxed twice ,{this message
from my husband to tell you} Surprised

WOW cannot believe it took THAT long from London -Coventry

Anyway Gil is trying to take a nap on the couch now before
dinner ....ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS day here some towns
away from the shore line already in the SEVENTY'S
Although here in Bridgeport we are only in the low 60's due
to the on shore breezes from Long Island Sound
I'll take it

cheers  well that's it.....curtains chosen, paid for. we should get them on the 29th March. mid brown velvet, the fleck in the carpet is the same colour.

Yes Bond go and have a good look around....

Yes we've had lots of photos from him Carole.....they went to the Natural History Museum early on and then had a meal in Bow Street (players of Monopoly will know that Street)  before off to the beautiful Royal Ballet, the Royal Opera House .....he said Laura loved it, which I'm pleased about, it was one of Laura's Christmas presents off Rob....had a great time and the weather wasn't too bad there, worse this way  he drove most of the way.

Sorry to hear Gil's having such a bad time once more....Mad  .

Wee Wah  Carole now did he ask if you'd seen his brother  Wing Wah?   (Psssst  Liz he's under Carole bed   )

Went to M&S in Tamworth.....nearly bought this beautiful vase.....but didn't, it was a case of buying that OR putting the money in my saving up box for my ....hem....bag.....so I put £20 into my saving up box.     bounce

Hi Margaret......yes the trains were hit pretty hard, trees & branches on the tracks plus high winds.

We're emptying the drawers & cupboards in the dining area so they're light enough, or lighter anyway, for the carpet fitters to be able to move these pieces of furniture.....five items in all to move.

Hi Bond......you sit down I'll make you a drink      put your feet up.  run run run

A bright shiny morning here today but it was
cold again last night but not as cold as the
night before which was 41f here locally.

I fished a couple of sweatshirts out of the
storage boxes under the bed, I have not
needed them for a couple of years, usually
I am warm enough wearing a shirt over a T-shirt.

They have slipped back the next rainfall until Sun/Mon
now.it was due today. It won't be much but the
underground aquifers need it as we have been drawing
on them more and more as the drought continued.
We are NOT out of the drought yet but with the
aquifers fuller and the reservoirs about 2/3 full, by
the time the snow pack melts we should be in good shape
here in S California IF we husband our water habits
the way we have been. There is no way of knowing if
this is the end of the drought or not. It might take another
wet winter to get the reserves 100% again.

Saw on FB that it took my niece Sarah 3 and a 1/2 hours to get from
Birmingham to Nuneaton because of the cancellation of the
trains due to high winds but the buses were running!
It took one of her workmates 5 hours to get from London
to Coventry!

Wonder how Ian has been doing riding the train into London
to the BBC. Won't contact him as he is working long days
recording the radio play. I think they finish on Sunday.

Cat seems to be over what ever it was. It was the usual
crazy time last night when I put the lights out.
Did half the grocery shopping last night, will do the rest
today.(I was out of canned cat food) Shocked Rolling Eyes

Carole, I hope the Mucinex D does the trick.
Gil still needs to be well hydrated so lots of
liquids.

I am going to put all the Tax info into a large
envelope this weekend for Brian and check last
years envelope to see if anything is missing.
The year end info from the investment outfit
I use got soaked so have had to dry it out for
a couple of days.
If I have everything I can then call Brian and
take them to his office which is only a five minute
drive away.
Only thing I don't have is a year end statement from
the UK pension people, never have had one!
Only thing I do have is the bank statements of
deposit which the IRS will accept.
They cannot tax me for it as its already taxed
in the UK before its sent.

Well, I am babbling on here and I need to get busy.
I have a big job this week end which is converting
the two studio unit single beds back into
a studio unit again, its been lashed together to
make a king size bed for when Melanie and Jim came
down for Peters birthday two years ago.
It takes up the whole bedroom. I just need to empty
the rest of the stuff out of the room to be able to swing
the beds around into the studio L configuration and put the
corner unit back in. Its not heavy lifting by any means.
I am looking forward to reclaiming another space. TTFN

Morning Bond
Terrible night I am sorry to say ,Gil came
in around 1015pm and was awake then ON
THE HOUR ,eventually got up at 430am saying
he could not breathe,I rubbed Vicks on his chest
gave him the cough syrup but he seemed to cough
all night ,made him lay higher on his pillows as he
likes to normally lay flat ,but did not seem to help
so not sure yet what to do ,he is sitting up right now
on the sofa where he sits ALL day
I feel like Sh@##@!#@! so can see myself easychair
before the day is out

Anyway nice seeing my friend Liz made it in ,just have to work
on getting her a Avatar on did send her the info but I know
she is busy right now and has worries with her hubby Rob
not just the procedures as I think Liz told me he had done them
or one of them before ,but the worry of not knowing WHY he
was low on his blood count and having to have transfusions
No wonder he is not happy ,at least they found Gil's "leak"
when he had the Colonoscopy and fixed it

Anyway I shall be back later

Seems Rob Dawn and Laura enjoyed the ballet Vicky
he was putting pictures on of Covent Garden but obviously
could not take any during the performance ,its a BEAUTIFUL
place
Even your daughter said she will have to put it on her
Bucket list" of places to go .......
Going to be a warm one today run run run

Oops didn't realise I'd doubled my posts. littleBlond

It was in the middle of the road Carole.....cars were driving up onto the pavement as David told them, they didn't know that this guy had pulled it onto the pavement later on...unless he'd telephone and told them but of course that threw up other problems.....but they hadn't taken it away by the time we got back.

Hey Liz don't worry, we understand as for your husband having the double procedure tell him not to worry, I had it a couple of weeks ago.....yes he'll survive not eating those foods .....then it's the dreaded stuff to drink to have him run run waitingloo but it's ok he'll survive (I hated that but don't tell him that Smile )....he'll be fine having the double procedure as well. I was sent home the first time before I had my double procedure, though not before I'd gone through everything else, my BP was high.....second time even though I had been placed onto a low dosage of BP tablets by my doctor, I was JUST able to have it done....I did say "If you send me home again I'm not coming back" (don't tell your husband that) but anyway I had it done and it was fine ....though my BP DROPPED afterwards and they had to whip the pillow from under my head so I was lying flat.....(don't tell your husband that) but hey I was fine. PostSubject: SORRY!    Fri Feb 24, 2017 8:33 am

Sorry everyone - I've not been able to grab time to "talk" to you all for a few days - just the usual life stuff!

Today I've been having a huge argument with storm Doris - spent half the day running (um, hobbling!) up and down the street trying to catch our bins! Lovely lady from next door came out and took over - so nice to have a kind, considerate neighbour.

Not looking forward to the next few days - Rob has to start his "diet" to prepare for his double procedure next Tuesday (gastroscopy and colonoscopy). He is not a happy bunny. His diet has to be fibre free. He can't understand why he can't have coleslaw, peanuts, fruity yoghurts and so on. He's driving me up the wall! He'll survive - I may have pulled all my hair out in a couple of days!!!!

Fed and walked the pooch and the fishies fish (um, no, I didn't "walk" the fish!!!!!!)

Thankyou for welcoming me to your place, much appreciated.

Off for some much needed now. Hope you are all well.

xxx Liz

OH OH Vicky has HICCUPS  funnytvprog

talktohand  no need for thanks pal my pleasure

Ummm sounds like Sylvia is one of those who ADJUSTS her
ailment to what ever people tell her

Talking of kitchens ,Spencer and Carmen did a nice job on hers
last weekend ,her walls were a cream color BLAH ,so they painted
them a light/pale  grey and painted the wood work white ....
He showed me a picture last night and said they also did the living room
She  telephone  him to tell him where she is going when she goes
any where ,he is not used to that as Migdalia never did ,but she seems
besotted with my son ,he said they have a lot of same likes /dislikes ,and are
both Libra's
He took her some of the crock pot Lasagna last night and she sent back
her compliments said it was really good

The steaks turned out good so will be serving them up soon

Saw some pictures of Exmouth and Brum and London etc with the weather

Should have put the tree in the middle of the road someone would
have SOON been around

Ok shall be back is Bond still over Bed'uth being Thursday  confused2

Well what weather....thanks Carole pal.

telephone  Sylvia .....she sounds so much better, this doctor told her she has an infection between the bones (cartilage) around her hips, she's putting this gel around the bottom of her back and around her hip.   He says he thinks she's already getting better...... littleBlond   and with him saying that she's feeling better.

Jodie let us keep the book so we can match the carpet up with curtains.....we thought it would take longer getting and fitting the carpet if we'd known it would only take a week we could of waited but hey we've got the book and we'll do it tomorrow.   I didn't get to tell Sylvia.....well you all know Sylvia by now, and she goes on that you can't get to speak when Tony's around.     Oh yes when I took the flowers to her she told me to "Come and see the new kitchen"  I'd heard so much about it.....so I was excited to see it, as us women are....well, Shocked  erm....to be honest it doesn't look any different than the other kitchen. talktohand  ok ok the walls are painted a BRIGHT green and that does look nice to be honest and the doors are now white instead of wood....but the white looks cheap, the guy replaced the doors but how much did the doors cost him to replace....tacky cheap things,   same brunch bar, same tops.    And yet she raved about her new kitchen.   We wouldn't have been too pleased if we'd got some guys in to *change* our kitchen and never mind them doing a couple of hours and then clearing off for a couple of days before returning for a day and then clearing off again AND they pay in full before the guys started.  affraid   I could at least say the painted walls looked nice.   And that's not me just being bitchy.

What Margaret says is true we can't turn the clock back, I often think  "Oh I should have....." but if I had would I have been any happier  confused2   or even happy......things happen for a reason.    And think of all the good things which has happened since you came to America.

Yes that's why my friend Lynne  (and Susan's Godmother)  couldn't go to Susan's wedding because Lynne had to be careful she didn't get any colds, bugs etc......if any of her family had a slight cough or cold they couldn't go into Lynne's house.....Chris would vet anyone   "Let's have a look at you.....you're looking a bit peaky.... talktohand  no sorry thank's for thinking of Lynne but she daren't catch anything"    Lynne emailed me once  "I'm waiting for him to buy a therrmometer and use it on people when they call get them to walk through disinfectant "  she used to laugh about it BUT she had to be so careful so you can understand him

We've still got the half of a tree.blowing about.....the guy across the road pulled it up onto the pavement.....daft bat.....it then started blowing towards some of the cars parked on the drives (most of the houses are open plan) so we had people moving their cars so they didn't get hit.....we went out and when we got back it was still around.    How much do we pay for our rates?   headbanger

Good comment Margaret about Gil's cough.....see Carole Margaret's been though it and with experience she'll advise you.

Any crusty rolls Bond?

Gosh thanks for that Carole we'd forgotten it was today......not a good day for travelling but  they'll be fine.

It's fine Liz don't you worry.

Well have yet to see the sunny today on the East coast

right now but feels cooler ......

We are having steak tonight with mashed potato and some of
my Zucchini side dish
In the mean time I just made us a onion roll ,Gil had ham on his
I put some BBQ crisp inside mine

Going to relax a while till its time to cook the steaks
so will be back later

Oh Vicky saw Rob put a couple of pictures on FB on the way

I think that Gil is too weak to give a good cough
so maybe one tiny suggestion that they do with
Cystic Fibrosis patients and that's a light pummel
on the upper back with the heel of both hands
while they lay on a bed with their head over the edge.

Vicks is also good at breaking up the congestion
rubbed in the chest every night.
There is a Mucinex decongestant and expectorant
for the chest which can help as well.
Peter took it for his coughs so he could sleep at night.
Only saying....
There are a couple of things for nasal congestion also
1) Mucinex D for sinus and 2) Flonase which had only
been available on prescription is now OTC.
Its a nasal spray which I use for my sinus congestion.
(I had the prescription one but the OTC one says its
the same strength). I know they are not cheap but the
spray does last a long time and its only one pill a day
for me.

It was damn cold here last night, I could not get warm.
Had the furnace at 72f and it was not enough to keep the
house warm. I think the outside temperature must have
been in the low 40s, These houses are not insulated
very well being wooden construction.
The cold wind finds every crack even with a thick coat
of Stucco on the outside.

The trash man is due today as it was Presidents Day
on Monday so a day off for them. My bins don't
get full enough to put out every week nower days.
Presidents day is a combined Washington and Lincolns
birthday as two days off one week apart was
messing up the work schedule.
The sunny is shining brightly this morning but it is still
quite cold with a fresh breeze. More rain is to come I
understand.

Peter taught me to unplug the router if there was a problem
with my computer as first resort and plug it back in after 60
seconds and let it reboot.(my computer is on a Wireless
connection from his computer), I did that twice and the
WiFi signal got stronger but no joy with my computer.

After talking to Ian he said to pull the power plug out of the
back of the tower and wait 60 seconds. When I plugged
it back in it went straight through its opening program and
has been fine ever since!
The Bose sound system on the TV in the living room freezes
on occasion and so I have to unplug that for 60 seconds
also and it resets itself. Its a quirk we live with because
Peter bought it online as used. It doesn't happen very
often thank goodness.
We are still having trees fall down here as most of them
have roots loosened by all the rain. We have been warned
if we have a tree that's leaning to notify the city as it could
be ready to fall. Mine are fine.

Carole, we cannot go back and change the past, we did the best
we could at the time with the choices we had.
I start every day looking for the choices I have that day.

Tabbitha seems to be getting over what ever was wrong with her
so that's a relief.
Its my meeting tonight and we will be back in our normal room.
Think I will go out and check Big Red again and open the doors and hatch
to air it out a bit. The towels did their job but they are forecasting more
is on the way! :-(

Morning Vicky
Yes Gil is still taking the cough med I think
though even though it keeps it fluid he is not getting
it "UP" and out ,like mine not so much my CHEST but my
NOSE so getting that down my throat is making me cough

WOW just showing a picture on TV of a ski lodge out west
in Lake Tahoe that this year has gotten 600" of snow
and this lodges first TWO FLOORS are buried

So next Wednesday is "D" day bounce bounce  can't wait
have you been looking at curtain material/colors  yet tongue

Was looking at the weather reports of Doris ,sorry guys it
looks like it was the bad storms we had here that has traveled
across the pond ,they say its 800miles wide and winds gusting
up to 90+ mph
WHOOPS there goes Sir G Shocked

I hear you about the cage Vicky but not sure if they want to go
that route or as you say if they have the room as their house is
a narrow row house and the rooms small ,living room/dining room
with sliding doors so they can open if they want ,small kitchen on the
side and two small bedrooms upstairs with a LARGE bathroom that
runs out along the length of her kitchen ,almost like where we  used
to live on Bolingbroke Rd in Coventry after we first had Tracie

How I WISH we had stayed there ,but my Nan was very persuasive
when her and grandad offered us help to buy their home {where I was born}
helping with the down payment and saying how her and Grandad
would not be around THAT much longer {as it was she died the year
we left the UK {'67}as Gil had had enough {3 yrs} and sought out the job over here
and Grandad went on to live another 5 yrs }
If only we had hindsight @

If I know Wendy she would be out HOURS Vicky she is a talker
told me yesterday she went to the PO and ran into a lady who used
to live in Coventry on Sewall Highway which is the street near where we lived
so struck up a conversation  etc etc
That is why she loves volunteering at the Red Cross shop she NEEDS
COMPANY ALWAYS has confused2
And right now she cannot go into there for fear she brings home
any "bugs" to Derek

Ok I shall away back later though stay safe

Well a very windy & wet morning.

Thanks for the info Margaret.

Thanks the good thing about a cage Carole....we still go out as we used, up to 5 hours sometime though more often it's only 3 hours, knowing Benjie will be ok, though if David is just dropping me off at the hairdressers and of course later picking me up only a 10 minutes.....OR when he takes me to the pub and drops me off, 10 minutes, and then later when he picks me up and we then go food shopping Benjie is left just sitting on top of the sofa that's by the window and he's fine but that's only half an hour or so.      Though of course Henry won't be used to a cage.....though when he was put into the doggy rescue he'd have been put into a smallish room, so maybe she could get him used to a cage IF she'd got anywhere roomy enough to put it, you can't stay in just because of Henry, so don't make Wendy guilty and tie HER to the house.   How long would she be out?      You leave the door open during the day, unless you go out....cover the floor of the cage with bedding so he's comfy.

You didn't say whether Gil is still taking his medication for his cough?

There's half a tree in the road near us.....David's just reporting it.

The guy's been to measure the room, Jodie called back, the price was another £7  confused2 from what she'd quoted and they're laying it next Wednesday.    So no  cheese  chips next Wednesday.

Well not sure if we're going out....it's so windy

Great photo Carole.

Morning Bond sounds like a fun morning going to be had
make sure not to get BLOWN away
Is it affecting ALL of the UK "Doris" as Wendy was not sure
they were going to get it down there?

Speaking of my sister seems while Derek went to the Dr
yesterday she went to the shops for a "few" hours and when they
got home Henry had ripped all the stuffing out of a bed/cover
that they lay on top of his bed,she says they THOUGHT maybe
he had put a doggie bone under and was getting it ,but she said he
got scolded and was surprised as he did do well before
My concern which I have VOICED is because she saw him OK once or
twice she is leaving him TOO long now when she pops out as I KNOW
my sister must be CLIMBING walls unable to go out like she has normally
done in the past .....
Hopefully she will listen to her big sisters advice

Listened to Gil on and off all night coughing so I am sure he will
be in a "mood" when he gets up today SIGH!

Glad to see you made it in Marge ,we miss your postings as I told you
I guess from what you said Ian told you to unplug the router ,but I
forgot to mention it has to be from the electric not just the PC as that
was what I was doing wrong ,just unplugging it from the PC only
Guess its like having a fibrillater to give the a SHOCK funnytvprog

Well done to Ian BBC @ hope the other job comes to fruition as well for him

OK I see Vicky did not like my color samples so will have to wait
until she has the room all done to see the finished product

Good thinking Bond or a large bottle of bondchamps to
entice her back out on a Wednesday

OK I shall be back later ♪ Spring is in the air ♪ I feel it all around ♪

My Slow cooker Lasagna got RAVE reviews from Gil Spencer AND Carmen

Nice to see you back up and running Marg and possible more adventures oh the gnomes under the porch dun dun darn the dastardly leader of the pack
Time for a quick coffee before the off, I'm looking forward To their antics today, the mask maker is not only a artist but a good actor a mime actor as the little plays have no words, last week he just popped a mask on, stuck out (this is a top this bloke) put his hand on his chin head on one side scratched the top of his head (Stan Laurel like) then shot a point finger in the air straightened up and marched off (he had had a idea) no words and you would swear I the face changed expression

Hello, Hello, Hello!!!
I am back up and running.
I called Melanie and she said to do what I did,
that hadn't worked so sent a FB message to
Ian and he phoned me.
His solution was to pull the plug out of the
computer tower and it started working again!
I got to talk to him about his working at the
BEEB.
Details for Vicky: the play is called -
"The amateur Marriage" by Ann Tyler.
It is in 10, 15 minute episodes and should
start on or about April 10th.
Ian will be in it from the 4th episode onward
as the first 3 are spoken by a younger actor.
Ian's character is named Michael.
Just in case you are interested Bond, its on
Women's Hour.

He is thrilled to be working at the BBC again
after so long.
He has two promising auditions next week
(we always think that).
Thanks for holding the fort Carole.
Went out this morning and the Gnomes
are playing dominoes. The Fairies are
now working on their Easter bonnets.
I have one 3 foot thistle growing in one of my
empty pots! Have to get that before the sucker
blooms!
My appointment for the Termite inspection is
April 3rd. Already been in the garage making
pathways for him as last year it was a mess.

Cat seems to be getting past what ever was wrong,
maybe she ate a spider as lots come in out of the rain.
She is eating and drinking but still sleeping a lot.

The sunny is out this afternoon with a nice little
breeze.

Barry seems no worse after what they now think is a sign
of another infection as his temperature went up and his
blood pressure went down. This time the infection is
not a major one and is being treated.
They are trying to get him strong enough to transfer
him to a rehab hospital, they are doing as much physio
as he can take to be ready for a bed when its available.
He is as weak as a kitten after several weeks in bed.
Plus he is having a problem swallowing which they are
also working on. He is due for another throat scan today.
I think its TTFN

confused2  Well none that I can see on the chart Carole.  after all the chart is wood colours and ours is a carpet. it's a lot different Carole.

Well at least Gil is being sorted......good.

The ice cube is for many things Bond.....one is for bringing the pile up, Sylvia and Cliff did it when they changed their 3 piece suite and the carpet was flattened down, nothing worked and a guy at work told him about the ice cube and it worked.  confused2   you have to do it a few times though.    Not sure of all the details I didn't need to find out.

Missing you Margaret.....and the tale of the Head Gnome.

Wasn't that Robert Glover who was burnt in Coventry and Joyce Lewis who was burnt in Lichfield.... though both their names are in Mancetter Church.

OK so its a Maple color with flecks
so WHICH one on the color chart I
put on here is close as they are ALL maple
colors

Got my pills but could KICK myself as when going to
fill my little weekly container as I do ,I found I had
TWO OTHERS that are almost out ,one which needs
the Dr's OK {he will give any way but we only get them
up to a year and the Insurance demands the Dr verify
we still need them etc }
So will have to go back tomorrow for those two ...

Also got a telephone  from the Geriatric Dept of Bridgeport
Hospital she asked a number of questions and is sending me a package
I have to fill out and get it back to them ,then they will assign
a Dr who will come see Gil here at home
He will also get a podiatrist ,which is good as Gil used to go
every three months to get his "talons" trimmed but has not been since
last summer
She said their goal is to keep people in their own homes rather
than in the hospital beds which I am all for
They can even send out a portable ExRay should it be needed

No good you  Sir G ,he has completely abandoned us rollingpin
I hope one day you DO run into him ,would love to hear his
excuse for quitting

My slow cooker Lasagna has turned out BEAUTIFUL wish you could
SMELL it
