PostSubject: Morning everyone..It's a new week...11/08/2014   Wed Jul 05, 2017 5:30 am

First topic message reminder :

Well, he just said sorry. I keep forgetting that he is 8 hours ahead and
has probably been messing with the Chase stuff for some time before
messaging me. Nothing to be done now until the new card actually
arrives.
I don't think I will be taking these blood pressure pills much longer
they are giving me a headache, don't know if its dehydration or something
else but I have increased my fluid intake in hopes that that is all it is.
I go back in about 10 days so will take them until then.
I am sure she will give me another blood test so we can compare the two.

I need to call the Gastroenterologists office tomorrow to make an appointment.

Finally got all the leaves out of Black Beauty vents and rain channels.

Lorna called and said that Lucy (our neighbor who is now in a retirement
hotel) wants to have a get together like we did last year. Its all last minute
as usual. Luckily I am only down for chips and dip and soft drinks and water.
I also need to get a couple of bags of ice for the ice chest.
I don't even know whose garden we will be in yet!
Now I can go and get my breakfast! I don't do well handling this kind of stuff
as soon as I wake up. TTFN

Dry but grey here.

Another terror attack in London, on a train.......luckily it didn't fully detonate though a number of people did get injured. Mad

Isn't there somewhere in the Hotel for Carmen & Spencer to wait until they can go to their room.     Usually by 10am the rooms are ready to go into   confused2

We're having Matthew & Laura today after school.

We'll go to Tamworth today to buy David "some sort" of walking boots & a sweater.

Is THAT what that whirring noise is funnytvprog
Marge turn your volume down a tad lass

What a lark with Ian ,I hope he turns up soon ....

Well Spencer called me said they were 30 mins later taking off
last night and they cannot check into the hotel until 3pm and so while
Carmen went to get her nails done he had tried to nap in the rent a car
they had as he had not slept since yesterday ...
He said it was also pouring as they were now getting some of
Hurricane Jose as it spins on its way up here ,any affects from it
will hit us the middle of next week as it comes  closer to the CT shoreline Shocked
He said some parts of where they are have a little damage from Irma most
have power but that Carmen's grandmother who her son Johnathon is staying with
has no water Rolling Eyes

Just made Gil roast beef with sauteed onions on a long soft roll
I made sure the beef was cut up small and that he drank in between
every other couple of bites

Its as HOT/HUMID as  so I am off to shower ,,,all this coming from
Irma
Well hope your able to keep in touch with your new friends Vicky
Catch you all tomorrow xxx

Well it's looking as if Irene will be home on Monday.....fingers crossed she said.....poor Shirley still doesn't know    confused2    after visiting them David & I went to M&S talktohand  NO Carole I wasn't spending......David bought himself a winters coat and a pair of jeans. I'm glad to be home.

No neither live in Nuneaton Carole......Irene lives in Bedworth, she's going to get her son to write it down Shirley is a different kettle of fish  she has problems saying her address, and though she's written it down & phone number....I think that's Bedworth, difficult to read confused2   but I think it's Bedworth. phone number could be anything.

Hark.....do I hear Margaret thinking?

Well. Ian gave me today as the date he would arrive but no post from
Heathrow that he was on his way. so your guess is as good as mine. confused2
He is camping out at Brian's again which suits me as he says he is allergic to cat
dander.
I suspect a plot, he could have flown out on the 13th and spent the night at Brian's
to sleep off the jet lag and will surprise me this morning. or he mixed up the date.
I know he had a voice over on the 12th. He posted a photo on FB of him flying
in the TigerMoth ride he had for his birthday one year saying he was free.
I have the date he gave me on paper and wrote it on my calendar but we Porters
are known for surprising each other.

Did a good clean in the main bathroom yesterday, just have the sink and counter
area left which I will do after doing my ablutions in there.

Have been switching occasional tables around so I can put my childhood desk out of
harms way from the cats. They used to use it as a spring board to get to their window
seat. now I have a cat play stand that fills the space with a platform on top so they can
jump up like climbing a small hill.

I have been thinking while I have been working(don't all laugh at once!) I need
to replace the curtains in the living room and the den as they are getting tatty
so that's on my list now. Not all at once but when other things have been done
first. I can put stretch slip covers on the sofa and love seat in the living room
as they are not in bad shape but a bit over powering with their dark southwest
design fabric. (they fit with my dining set which is Prairie/Craftsman design.)
Not the real thing, I hasten to add but a rather nice modern reproduction at half
the price!
Weather locally has been fab the last few days, there are actual clouds in a blue sky!
The humidity level is dropping and temps have been in the mid 70s ,Still some morning
mist about but its burning off quite quickly. While the east coast faces hurricanes this
time of year, we get wild fires! still many burning in California, Oregon and Washington
state. Some have been started by lightning strikes in remote areas. With lots of trees
weakened by drought and bark beetle there are a lot of dead trees for fuel.
It seems our fir trees need fire to get the pine cones to open and spit out their seeds.
Natures way I guess.
Must dash, got lots to do. TTFN

Ahh so THAT was where you were last night Vicky
....Now these two new mates Shirley and Irene
do they live in Nuneaton ,and could this be the start of
a "budding" romance ,,,errrr I mean friendship that
could be new Wednesday  chattable  for you confused2

Its possible the pills could be making you sleepy ,although
I have my "own" sleepy solution its called "GILBERT"

He was calling me at 730am said he tried to get up on his
own and fell ,LUCKILY he fell back onto the bed ,but he just will
NOT LEARN
Insisted he wanted to get up ,so had to wash dress and make his breakfast
now he is  easychair  in his chair well until his therapist arrives headbanger

I have washingbasket  in so must also away

I see you did not explain Bonds comment  Vicky

Yes that pete is going to get

Nice Avatar again as well
LATER run run

Hi gang........went off to bed early yesterday,  I just feel these pills are making me tired confused2  though I washed my hair this morning

I've going to visit Shirley & Irene (the two friends I made while I was in there, popped to see them Monday when I went for my check up)  at the hospital today.....hopefully they'll be going home soon.

Melanie seems to be picking up  so pleased.

And Bond having fun.

Told you that gnome was whispering ideas into Buddy's ear Carole.

Later. Avatar is Susan & Matt while on holiday.

Morning Bond ,has Graham been in then ?
or are you suggesting he purchase the Lacy
thingy from Louby Lou's for her .me no understand
Well Spencer got off OK and also landed in Aguvilia Puerto Rico
on time around 4am this morning ....
Heard from Tracie briefly yesterday but giving no details of what
she was doing  confused2

Have the occupational Therapist nurse due today and this should be her
last visit ,they can only do so much ,like yesterday when the Physio nurse
came Gil was different AGAIN to how he had been on Monday  headbanger
she also thinks this is all due to what Gil has going on in his brain
and so next week will also be HER last visit and that means I also
lose the Aid so I  will be back to  shower  duty myself

LOVE Doc Martin ,and the area it was all filmed in,but those HILLS
no wonder people stay healthy having to walk up and down them
as you could see how narrow the streets are

That is my BIL's country ,a true Cornishman

The weather here today is more HUMID as we will be getting some
of the remains of Irma's outer bands ,that was ONE BIG STORM
also they are still watching the one that was trailing Irma named
Jose that was also a Cat 4 but has been spinning around in the Atlantic
across from us before they "THINK" it spins of towards YOU >> {but it
should not maintain its hurricane status as it will hit colder water }
The only thing is it COULD come closer to CT so they are keeping
a close  eye  on it

Even though Hurricane season is 1/2 way over ending the start of
November, September seems to be when we see the height of
hurricanes so we are not out of the woods YET
Just saw one of the big ones was back in 1954 named Carol funnytvprog
and of course New Jersey got hit hard with Sandy a couple of years ago
that also brought some of the winds & flooding etc here along our coast

Hope Ian arrived safe Marge and that you enjoy the time with your son
Looks like Melanie is more active on FB so that is a good sign

Whats on your agenda today Vicky ?  shopper  nibbles  confused1
I will be back  run  run  run

All good news then about Melanie so far
Marge ...Maybe a better idea to
up and stay over then back save all that :driver:

As to Spencer what ever he does he will have to work
during the day as he has his car and bills to pay with out
the 1/4 of the rent electric and oil bill here in the house
he pays towards
His car will be finished next year and THAT is $600 a month
as he wanted it on a shorter time to finish it faster ,plus
he helps Brittany {his daughter} with HER car payment
giving her $100 every month ...

I am thinking of giving Buddy KNOCK OUT drops Marge funnytvprog
as to when we put the clock back he will then wake me at 3am
I will get up feed him and go back to Sleep and HOPE he does
as well

Hope you enjoy your visit with your son Marge and that he finds
every thing "ship shape" funnytvprog

Local community colleges have people who can find out what his skills are and
find classes that can enhance his chances of getting certified. He might even think of
another career direction using his skills as a base. This is what Jim has done, he is only
beginning his second year, taking a few classes to get in the swim so to speak.

At one point Peter was getting near the breaking point in his regular job so looked
into getting a teaching degree, he was already signed up and went for his interview.
That's when He decided to come clean with his bosses at work and they transferred
six people to get him into the research and development department as they did not
want to lose his talent.

Melanie dropped out of high school at 16 but when she came home the first place she went
was the Adult Education Office and sat her GED there and then and passed!
She hadn't been near any form of formal education and now she was in her 20s!
It has nothing to do with age or skill level even if they have to take remedial classes to
catch up. Its ticking all the boxes that need ticking to get what they want.

I have a few "floaters" but I get my eyes checked every year so not a serious problem
for me but if there are many it should be looked at by an eye specialist.
"cloudy" may mean cataracts. I have stage 2 so not bad enough to have surgery yet.
Mine are congenital (I was born with them) but never were a problem until my 50s.

Melanie felt well enough to e-mail me yesterday. She sat in a chair for about 90
minutes and is feeling a whole lot better. She said the second surgery wiped her out
coming so fast on the heels of the BIG surgery and her recovery is going to take
longer. She says that are going to remove a kind of feeding tube on Friday and see if
she can eat regularly (it will be Jelly and soup to start with) Then its wait and see for
a few more days to make sure that there are no more leaks.

In the mean time she will be doing some gentle PT (walking in the hallways) to build
up her strength. Depending on how long they keep her, Ian and I could fly into SF and
get a cab to the hospital to see her, stay overnight and come back the next day.
Its only an idea at the moment so is driving up to see her when she gets home.
Its wait and see time.

What's Buddy going to do when we set the clocks back?
Mine have been good about waiting until 6:45am even if I wake up and visit
the Loo at 3:45am and go back to sleep.
Must get started here as I just want to be a bit more organized for when Ian
arrives tomorrow afternoon. TTFN

PHEW ! oh good glad I do not have "floaters"
then .and as I said she will go to the hospital should
the blurriness not go away...

Soup @    gets you every time still funnytvprog

Have to go get Gil up as Amanda will be here at 11am

Don't know what was discussed Vicky pete  all I know is I
NEED to find Buddy's ALARM reset SWITCH as he starts
waking me up at 4am   .....then Gil goes back to Sleep
after I do get up at 5am
The trouble is THIS week I could have had a lay in with Blaine
being on furlough ....

The only problem is that where ever Spencer goes Vicky he has no
"formal training "all he knows he learned from "doing hands on"
and most places want that piece of paper that says he is "certified"
Maybe he will change professions who knows ,but with him it needs
to be a job that keeps him interested he cannot sit and watch a  machine
shall we say like his brother does after setting it up ,he would be BORED
SILLY ,one of the reasons when at 14 and a straight A student  and he was then on College Level the teacher lost his interest not giving him enough to do and
he ended up dropping out of school going to night school a few years later
to get his GED " General Education Diploma "
{another thing employers want over here when you apply
for work}

Nice this morning  sunny is streaming through my bay window and a lovely
breeze before its going to get a little more humid

Be back later

No that's BP Carole, not the same at all.....floaters are there for good but as I said your brain learns to ignore them. blurred vision is something which needs looking at.

No wonder Spencer is upset poor guy......get him to do his CV and look for another job, they should be queuing up for him.

It's going to be off & on all day.....we went food shopper as well, did some shopping for 3 tins of soup.

Hope that gnome isn't putting ideas into Buddy's head nono

Bond's enjoying himself.

compared to Newquay ,20342
Did not know you were going to Cornwall Bond
NO WONDER your having connection problems its
all them pete and fairies that live down {or as they
pronounce it } Dane there funnytvprog

Not sure how your weather will be in the UK as
when they were showing us the Hurricanes diminish
in the Atlantic yesterday there was a HUGE disturbance
spinning going your way ,nothing named but very distinguishable
and it was not any thing WE HAD HAD
Melanie posted yesterday on FB so that is a good sign
Well hope Vicky had a good night ,and Marge ...
We only have one therapist today at 11am
Spencer said they are driving Carmen's car to New York
tonight have to be there by 10pm then will leave it in long
term parking at the airport ...

Here we can expect the mid 70's today so away I must go
all on

 well thanks for explaining that
Vicky ,is that like I get very rarely when
I see black spots in my eyes sometimes
after getting up too fast confused2
Anyway she said if it does not go away
she has to go to Deraford Hospital ...

Lovely sunset Vicky ..
Spencer just came home he is a bit upset
as it seems Carmen's upstairs neighbor whom she
has problems with well either he or his wife must
have BACKED into Carmen's new car and even though it
has only scratched the paint they should have knocked her door
and said something , Spencer looked at the husbands truck but
said it had to have been the wife as his car is to high.
plus he is still worried over his job as things are NOT picking up
so he is thinking he should try to look for something else before
they lay HIM OFF confused2
Along with a trip to meet people he has never met has his stomach
in knots I guess

Going to be nice all the rest of the week and the weekend is looking
PERFECT weather wise ,maybe a brief shower Wednesday night
but Spencer will be waiting on their  that leaves JFK
at midnight by then

Well that is my news so I am off to get my shower

Speak tomorrow
Hope Bond is enjoying where EVER he is NOT lol!

75mph winds ..better HANG ONTO your hat Vicky

Melanie is in the best place Margaret.    That's good about her able to get messages.

You look after yourself also Margaret,  and then you've got those naughty fairies & gnomes playing up, tell them you'll sent them to Lorna's with all those dogs & cats......that'll bring them into line.

Floaters are little black spots which float about in an eye but your brain learns to ignore them, nothing serious.....I've got one in my left eye.  confused2    being blurry is something else though, that needs looking at..

Avatar is one of the photos Susan took while on holiday.   Sunset.

Wonder how Bond's weather is......we've had rain most of the day, we're going to have strong winds tonight. talktohand nothing like you've been having of course. 75 mph.

Well what a job I had getting through
that "fairy/Gnome " picket line
and the CHANTING ....
sounded like
pete    "better living better living"

Well Marge that is good in a way then as its right
that would be a long way to get back to San Fran
should she have needed it and will give Melanie a
little more recovery time ..

Whose watching there pets while they are there?

Could it be the change in atmospheric conditions with your weather
cough cough {getting technical } regards how your feeling
funnytvprog funnytvprog funnytvprog

My sister said she has "floaters" in her eye as it was all blurry
so went to the eye doctor ,he put drops in but if it does not clear
she has to go see someone at the hospital,my question
What the HECK is FLOATERS confused2

No news since Sunday night only Ian got a much bigger message
by being a nosey parker. It seems Melanie will be there at least two
weeks now just in case she has another "hiccup".
I think Jim must have told them how rural the place is where they
live and that the local hospital could not cope with this level of surgery.
It would mean another four to five hour ambulance drive to get her back
to UC San Francisco.
Ian found out a way to send Melanie massages so she knows everyone is
thinking about her even if she is not strong enough to text everyone.
Its a fab idea as she would be inundated with cards and flowers otherwise.
Its run by the hospital. Ian listed it on FB.

I have been having a series of mini migraine symptoms, just the aura in
my eyes and a mild sick feeling, its more of a sinus congestion than anything else.
I think it may be the new hypertension pills. Using the Flonase nasal spray (which
is now over the counter) helps a lot rather than taking Sudafed sinus pills which
can give you high blood pressure.
I wear my sunglasses over my regular glasses even in the house as shutting down
the bright sunshine we have been having here is also helping.
Funny, its overcast this morning, the cloud layer seems to be at several hundred feet
so ground level is clear for a few miles.
Must get the check to the gardeners in the mail this morning, its been five days since it came.

Its encouraging news for Tracie then amongst the terrible destruction.
It is always the barrier Islands that take the brunt of these things and people have had
houses there for decades and just come back and rebuild.
Its the same with the wild fires out here, they just cannot see living anywhere else.
Must away to the grind, the fairies are on strike again for better living conditions
and the Gnomes have gone out in sympathy. TTFN

The good news is Tracie's home was NOT damaged
in the storm ,how or why we may never know as its
just similar to a mobile home ,"fabricated" no basement
sits on a slab but cannot be moved like a mobile home
Still has no power so cannot move back home yet
She said Silver Airlines were flown to
Pensacola out of harms way and not sure when they will come
back
I shall return

Sorry about the news on Melanie Margaret.....an upset for you and Jim, but they'll keep an eye on her.    chin up Margaret.

We went out yesterday to High Cross stopped to have nibbles a hot sausage roll and salad, well it must have been dodgy......didn't stay too long looking around, got home and I felt sleepy, fell asleep on the sofa, David woke me up to ask if I wanted something to eat talktohand  I didn't......went off to bed, only woke up for my tablets THEN David came to bed around midnight and I suddenly felt sick.....ended up being sick,  the sausage roll  after that I was sleepy but fine.      Trust me

Yes Carole the roses smell lovely.

Was that Bond I saw running in with bacon
and black pudding in his mits
Guess we might as well say goodbye
to his "svelte" figure with all this food he
has been having of late funnytvprog

Well heard from Tracie late last night with three pictures
of the 150 avocado that had been blown off of HER tree
so she must have ventured back to see if her house was still there
She said no power though so staying at Steph's  for now
especially with the "boil water" order there ...
I text her back just now asking if the house suffered any damage confused2

Her airport also resumes service today so not sure if she will be
able to fly as she has to leave Timmy & normally her neighbor
watches him
Miami airport not in full service yet

We are back in "summer" mode as our temps the next few days
will be back around 80f ,then when Spencer returns Monday 18th
it will still be in the 70's and the good thing is it drops off this time
of the year at night into the 50's so good sleeping Sleep  weather

Hope good news from the West coast today
Enjoy your visit Bond did not know you would be away so long confused2

Morning Vicky hope you had a good night also ,eat your oats got to BEEF you
UP    run run run run

Sniff Sniff,is that a close up of your roses
Jessica bought you .....pretty do they have a fragrance ?

That is good about the Dr dropping one of your pills down a notch
Just heard from Tracie she said a lot of tree and branch clean up
her house has no power and they are under a order to boil water
so she is staying put with Steph for now
She did not say any thing else whether her home suffered any damage
or not
Nurses all left and the Physio was REALLY pleased with Gil ,she said
he was MORE himself to how he had been the last couple of visits
I told her I think of it like a "broken record" when Gil's brain hits the
part that the cells are dying he changes ,she said she likes THIS Gilly
much better funnytvprog even did the stairs today and was not off balance
like last time

Ok so just made us a cheese and mild onion sarnie for lunch
back later talktohand NO PLEASE

Well, the other shoe dropped last night.
A leak was detected in Melanie's intestine so
she was sent to surgery last night and they
are satisfied that it has taken care of the problem.
Jim messaged me and he was so upset then he
called me.

Its a big strain as he is only clean and in recovery
9 months. It seems he has been in regular contact
with his Sponsor who suggested he find a meeting
and take an uber car there and back today.
This point in time for him is a "make or break "
point . I talked to him a little to test where he was
mentally and could tell he was on the verge of tears.

I kept telling him that I knew how he was feeling
having gone through the same thing with Peter
six years ago. Waiting is the hardest thing that anyone
can do especially after waiting nearly twelve hours on
Thursday to actually see her breathing still.

I also told him that little hiccups can and do occur but
if the nursing staff are alert enough it can be taken care of.
The big wolf in the woodpile is infection.
He was scaring himself saying what if it had happened after
she got home, what would he have done.
Over the week end she was able to walk to the bathroom with
a little help and Sunday she was going to try a little walk in the
corridor with him.
I don't know what it will mean about her scheduled release
tomorrow, Guess they will want to keep her another few days.
He did find time to contact me so he gets full marks in my book.
I relayed the message to Ian, it was the middle of the night there
so got a reply early this morning here. He is going to call me soon
to ask all his questions so better get another cup of tea as it may
take a while. TTFN

Well been for a check up at the hospital .....he's changed my medication. dropped one lot of pills from 10mg to 5mg.   .......popped in to see my two mates they're looking really well.  Saw one of the nurses I knew, and a kitchen helper and the Consultant's "underling" Smile  all three said "Can't you keep away"  anyway I'd bought the nurses some chocs & sweets for their little sweet jar.

Tin hats anyone.

New Avatar is the bough of Tracie's
friend Steph's tree that fell yesterday
when they were under a Tornado warning
The houses are pretty close ,so she said its
a good JOB the whole tree did NOT come down
as it is this just missed HER house

Well when the help gets a day off
they REALLY take advantage
No on no brewing
Ah well here goes first a nice confused1
then a quick hoover around before the ladies
get in ...

Waiting to hear from Tracie as I see Irma has gone
down to a Cat 1 with winds 75+ mph today before it hits Orlando etc
They showed all the pink Flamingo's walking in line one by one
being led into a safe shelter this morning
Mass flooding is the problem today where it was ,praying
Tracie's house did not sustain a lot of damage ...

Now they are watching the State of Georgia as its spurning Tornado's
on its way north

St Maarten looking bad among the other Caribbean Islands

4 million with out power down in Florida

Any way hope you have heard from Jim Marge as I keep saying
the WORST part of WORRYING ,is the NOT KNOWING
I will be back later have two nurses due today and the Aid to shower
Gil at 8am

Yes its not good when some people do not leave,
but  again sometimes they CANNOT ,like Tracie if she was
not friends with Steph and Reena she would have had to
stay put or found a shelter that would take her and her pets

As it is Steph only lives 33miles north east of Tracie and the
way people were jamming up the highways with no gas
and cars being abandoned along the way as the cameras were showing
she would have been doing the same had she tried to drive north to
SOMEWHERE ,and look at all those who drove West thinking it was
coming in more over the East coast and now THEY are in danger  ..
I just heard the Tornado winds took a large limb of a big tree in Steph's
garden down ,she said good job the whole tree did not fall

Just another reason why when Tracie has asked I have said
I would visit but NEVER live down there

No word from Jim yesterday so having to be patient as I don't want
to pile on with the rest of her support group asking how things are.
It should be a bit quieter today unless there was some minor emergency.

Did not need any fans last night as it was cool enough to sleep without
them.

I see Irma has changed track again so hitting the west side of Florida
as well as the east side (its only about a hundred miles wide until you get
to the panhandle in the north). Coastal areas are being hit with storm surges.
and with a seasonal high tide is expected to be about 12 to 15 feet above normal.

Lots of places
A reporter interviewed an English couple visiting Disney World in Orlando.
They had already toured the park but had hoped to go back and do a few more things
but Disney World is closed while the storm is on so they are having to stay in their hotel
until their flight leaves for the UK on Tuesday. They have never experienced a hurricane
so didn't know what to expect but said the locals seemed to be taking it seriously.
The food service will not be available if the power goes out so they were on their way to get
a few Pizzas to tide them over. They probably have cold cereal for breakfast anyway!

The emergency services have announced that they will not allow the first responders to
go and rescue anyone during the worst of the storm, they will just have to wait it out.
Why should they risk their lives to rescue someone who ignored the evacuation order?
They had four days to make up their mind and chose to hunker down in place.
They were asked time and again if they wanted to evacuate so its not like they didn't
know. It was pointed out that there would be no clean running water or electricity for
up to a month in some places and still they chose to stay. confused2
Must go and get some breakfast and catch up on some things I did not do yesterday
because of the darn migraine.
PS. that Coventry site about the City in the 60s is great and I have posted a few
comments. TTFN

that were coming in with the bands of rain from Irma

Good thinking Marge ,I see Jim keeps a lot of their
friends on FB in the loop
Wow will Ian be here that soon  do you think he will
have a comment on your new purchases funnytvprog
he should NOT as its not like your spending your $$ on
diamond rings etc funnytvprog

Have not heard from Tracie since she sent the video at 730am
I see the reporters from ABC are in Miami and all the key points
in Florida and the one in Miami was saying the winds were picking
up at 9am
We of course have the headball  on so have no idea what the latest
is on its progression
They were talking to a tenant of one of the High rise condo's there
and they were staying put ,not sure I would as if the winds at ground
level were 140mph say up on the 50th floor and higher it would feel
like 220mph and they said in NORMAL tropical storms where the wind is
around 50mph they FEEL the building SWAY Shocked as they are built to
OH NO NOT ME Mad Mad

Oh hello Sir G

Oh hello Vicky well all you can do is take it slow and easy
as long as your eating and checking your BP

I am going to relax a bit now as went to the shopper
and just finished the washingbasket

Back later

After having a nearly 12 hour surgery I think it is wise to wait a while.
Jim messaged me last evening to say that she had sat up for a few minutes
three times and stood out of bed once or twice. She is on a lot of pain meds
at the moment and still sleeping a lot too.
Its just too far for me to pay even a flying visit at the moment.
I trust Jim to keep me informed the way he has, once a day is
enough for now. Poor lad must have a message circle for all the
other friends of theirs who want to keep informed of her progress.
I know he is sending daily messages to Ian as well.
All we know for certain is that the surgery went well, its the recovery
that is the unknown factor now.
I know that she will be getting lots of visits and care from her 12 step
circle when she gets home, I prefer to wait until Ian is here (5 more days )
to discuss the possibility of going to see her. IF everything is going well
I can wait until Xmas to visit. I told her, IF she wants me I will go of course.

I am feeling the effects of all the excitement I have had since last Friday.
So going to have my breakfast while watching a football match. TTFN

https://www.trulia.com/homes/Florida/Fort_Lauderdale/sold/20747349-2440-SW-50th-St-Fort-Lauderdale-FL-33312

Tracie's house

Had a video from her this morning at 730am taken by Steph's
enclosed pool ,the latest on the Hurricane is its going more to the
West and that Fort Meyers and Tampa now could get the brunt
of the still Cat 5 storm ,but Tracie will still be getting very strong gusts
from it where they are ...
Fort Lauderdale and Coral Springs are on the right side of Florida
so even though my daughter went up a bit the only good thing is
Steph's house is a "proper" house not like Tracie's ,so I am
her house will be spared
Irma is WIDER than the State of Florida

Have a nice trip where ever your not shhhhh going to Bond

Morning Vicky how you feeling today ?

Sunny here and a breeze blowing so temps will only be in the
low 70's

We should see the remnants of Irma's rain and some winds Wednesday/Thursday
the day Spencer  to Puerto Rico
He keeps saying the side of the island they are going to away from San Juan
is fine and was in touch with a friend who only lives minuets  from where
they are going to the wedding and its all fine ,my thinking is about
the planes ,will they be taking OFF from here to go there Wednesday at
midnight ...we shall see

Hope all is well with Melanie Marge will you be going to see her or what ?

Anyway I shall be back later to see if we have had any postings headball
