No Vicky .... only once in a while
as with everything I am eating anything like
that if I do in moderation {not BARS at a time
or a HUGE BAG of chips /crisps }
My solution would be that all my stress
would disappear, which I can see will not any
time soon headbanger

As to your pendent £600 ,do you have to
go to Scotland or its going to be buying it sight unseen

I look at it this way ,its YOUR ££,and if you REALLY REALLY
WANT it go for it ,but is it also buy with no returns
I am SURE it must come with documentation at THAT price confused2
Wait to see what Bond and Marge say

Sorry you've been under the weather also Margaret.

Didn't eat all of my dinner   confused2

I've been looking for an Edwardian pendant and yesterday I saw just what I wanted, it was in an antique shop in Scotland  £600 but David isn't keen for me to buy something I've not had in my hand to study it.....there's an address & phone number, location and picture of the shop.....seems a real antique dealer BUT David isn't too keen for me to buy it.   Advice gang.

Sorry to heat about you also Carole......oh dear poor you. Your not eating chocolate or Crisps in bed are you?

I agree with Margaret you & Mrs B  really are stars.

Sat at Coombe Abbey table waiting for our starter.

Guess that makes us THREE then Marge
{not feeling 100%} ,told Gil I did not feel
good this morning ,so he said well don't shower
me then but he NEEDS a shower so plodded on
I am pretty sure I KNOW whats wrong with me
as even though I am not over eating ,I am gaining weight
and the more my belly enlarges the worse I feel
going up and down the stairs is a CHORE

I know what I have is called {stress belly} all caused
by a hormone called Cortisol ,something our body produces
when put under a lot of stress ....what to do about it is another
problem ,as this has been building since way back in 1995 actually
when Gil and I first got back in touch with each other ,one upset/crisis
after another and I can account for EACH ONE up until present
time
Now some peoples bodies  I know react the opposite ,where by they
LOSE weight when under stress ,WISH I WAS ONE OF THEM Sad
as I HATE THIS ....

Feel better Vicky ,and Marge ,glad your windows will be starting
soon as I said all good as you say should you sell the house it
will all come back four fold +
In the mean time it looks like BOND IS IT as far as looking after us three

I was going to say the Leading Players must be like little kids at times @ funnytvprog
OK I would like a LARGE L & L tea and a coffee for the West Coast and Nuneaton
me thinks

Spencer got his pizza ,said I was   funnytvprog

Not feeling that bright myself this morning, I think its from having something on every day this week.
I did have a little tummy trouble in the night but it went away so I could get back to sleep.

Expecting a phone call from Brad the window person today to settle the estimate once and for all.
Then they can swing into action. I let him know that I still have all my little grey cells so beware!

Its going to take a few weeks until they are ready to install so in the meantime I am going to start
the ball rolling elsewhere. The repainted license plates came yesterday and they look good so I will
be putting them back on Big Red tomorrow. It also needs a good wash. the weather is just right for
washing it in the driveway.
I have been looking online at some slip covers for the sofa and love seat in the living room as they
have such a dark pattern on the original fabric. Seems if I go to the manufacturer its cheaper and
a bigger selection.
Still looking for floor mats for BR but that is not a priority at the moment as I have everything else.

Yes, Vicky the dress is lovely, you look like the lady of the Manor.
Sorry you are feeling a bit under the weather but a lie in bed is the best medicine.

Carole, to your youngest, Spencer. I keep asking myself where have all the years gone
with my two.
Melanie is on her way into UC San Francisco for a check up visit but it sounds like Jim is having a little
tummy trouble as well this morning.
Bond, cannot help loving your Leading Players even if they are naughty now and again.
I think its wonderful that you and Mrs B are involved with them.
I think I will try and have some yogurt and a banana with a granola bar and another mug of
Yorkshire Gold tea! TTFN

Hi gang........well woke up early not feeling too good,  went back to sleep  and slept until 12:00.   David had to telephone my hairdressers to cancel my appointment.   Sigh!!!

Kids turned up after school though  Matthew turned up after his Dad had arrived.....I finally said to Matthew when he did turn up ...."How's the girlfriend?"  Matthew said "Haven't got a girlfriend Nanny"  "What about Sophy?" to be told they're just friends but he was beaming

Spencer hope you enjoyed your pizza.....your surprised pizza.

Later then.......after I've drunk my tea. Thanks Bond.

we went out for lunch at the marina lovely food I had smothered hunters chicken, bbq chicken breast with cheese, bacon and a rich bbq sauce, salad, chips coleslaw and qarlic bread, it's OK ok I didn't have the garlic bread, Mrs b had it
Just been out and cleaned the car in the last of the sunshine..
it was a full house of leading players this morning so I didn't get a lot done, as the Leading Players being leading players when you are painting something they come up and say is that wet testing it with their finger and most times it is run get a cloth

Morning Bond ,thanks for the coffee made with
boiled milk
Well today I will be going into "labor" around 7pm
YOUR time funnytvprog
Put this array of pictures of Spencer on FB for Spencer's

and around noon I am telephone into the little restaurant
next to where he works for them to deliver a pizza for him
I know some days after eating the sarnie I put up he does
not get time to eat anything else till he gets home so hope
he gets to enjoy this .....

Nice hair do Vicky and here is your weather

Bablake weather station..
Coventry's weather forecast for today:
It is hard to believe in these globally warm days, but Coventry had its
earliest snowfall of any autumn on record 43 years ago today, albeit
sleety in an early morning shower
However, in the twentieth century, there was little sign of warming in October,
perhaps just a 0.3°C rise in average temperatures, though since 2000,
there has been a 1.3°C increase on the 1990’s locally. The 2001 to 2015
October average was 11.5C compared to 10.2C average from 1991 to 2000.
Temperature so far this month have been close to average, and so it will be
over the coming weekend into next week, though largely dry at least.
So Friday will be bright and dry with some pleasant spells of autumn sunshine;
with lighter breezes than yesterday, it should feel warmer, with highs around
15C with just a moderate NW breeze.
It will be clouding over this evening, with a breeze picking up after midnight,
as some light and patchy rain reaches us by dawn on Saturday.
So it won't be a cold night with minima of 10C or so.
Saturday may be rather cloudy, but becoming mainly dry as that early rain
clears away; it will be breezy but quite mild at 16C.II

Need to get Gil up soon and give him his shower ,and my back fells like
its going to break in two today for some reason headbanger

Good weather this side ...
Back later .......
MORNING MARGE run run run

Yes I was expecting her to say the Doctor would get the report and I'd most likely get a letter but no she said she couldn't see anything for me to be worried about.  Phew.!!!! Though I didn't think there was anything wrong with my heart.

Thank's for the cuppa.

PostSubject: Re: Morning everyone..It's a new week...11/08/2014   Fri Oct 06, 2017 5:55 am

Went to bed with a sinus headache last night so
took a headache pill and slept like a top.
I have not cancelled the order for the windows but changed the
focus on just the den not any other room.

I can do both front and back doors and the sliding glass doors in
the office at the same time as a bundle.

I was thinking that I have a couple of other kind of large payments
coming for the rollaway blind and don't know what it will cost to have
all the weather stripping done and rear seat belts put in Big Red
and have the engine tuned up.
I have enough money to cover all the costs but don't want to be juggling
too many financial balls at the same time.
Big contracts like the large windows may have problems I didn't know
about yet so need to be conservative in my approach in case it runs over
budget.
Complete one project at a time so I don't need to revisit it again later is
my mantra especially the house (Big Red is excluded as he will always
need attention). Rolling Eyes

Lovely looking day outside, 71f and 50% humidity. No breeze again today
yet.

Went to the Olive Garden last night, there were only five of us (we are all
busy ladies ).
I had my usual ,Olive garden salad with bread rolls, and had a starter as my
main course, a grilled chicken flat bread (kind of like a thin pizza crust) with
melted cheese and some tomato and green pepper and onion chopped on
top of bits of grilled chicken, I ate it with a glass of Classico Chianti ,
just perfect.

Found out that the Assistant chief of Torrance's fire department was wounded
in the shooting in Las Vegas. He is on the mend. Quite a few off duty first
responders (police, fire and paramedics and nurses ) were at the event so aid
came quite quickly or the toll would have been much higher.
From Southern California at last count, 12 dead and 17 wounded.
most of them civilians.
Seems there is now one burning question, why did he do it. It was very carefully
planned and he had a couple of dry runs before hand and bought weapons in
three different States, Nevada, Arizona and California and there is a simple device
to make semi automatics into fully automatic fire with a "bump stock" all of which
are legal to sell it seems . He was almost a professional gambler as he had pots
of money at his disposal. Again, a loner, quiet with no past problems. confused2
Now everyone is on edge in case there is a copycat out there.

soapbox
I for one will not live in fear, If I can go round London in the middle of the IRA
planting bombs in the city, I can live through anything!
Must away as still working with Brad on a little embellishment to each window
pane to make it not look so modern on my little cottage.

>Got this from my friend Pat in OZ  funnytvprog

Have you noticed that stairs are getting steeper, groceries are heavier,
and everything is farther away.  Yesterday I walked to the corner and
I was dumbfounded to discover how long our street had become.
> And, you know, people are less considerate now, especially the young ones.
They speak in whispers all the time. If you ask them to speak up they just keep
repeating themselves, endlessly mouthing the same silent message until they're
red in the face.  What do they think I am, a lip reader?

> I also think they are much younger than I was at the same age.
On the other hand, people my own age are so much older than I am.
I ran into an old friend the other day and she has aged so much that she
didn't even recognize me
> I got to thinking about the poor dear while I was combing my hair this
morning and in doing so I glanced at my own reflection....well really....
Even mirrors are not made the way they used to be.

> Another thing, everyone drives so fast these days.
You're risking life and limb if you happen to pull onto the motorway
in front of them. All I can say is, their brakes must wear out awfully
fast the way I see them screech and swerve in my rear view mirror.

> Clothing manufacturers are less civilized these days.
Why else would they suddenly start labeling a size 10 or 12 dress
as 18 or 20? Do they think no one notices that these no longer fit
around the waist, hips, thighs and bosom?

> The people who make bathroom scales are pulling the same  prank,
but in reverse.  Do they think I actually believe the number I see on that dial?
Ha.  I would never let myself weigh that much, just who do these people think
they are fooling.

> I'd like to call up someone in authority to report what's going on, but the
telephone company is in on the conspiracy too:  they've printed the phone
books in such small type that no one could ever find a number in there.

> All I can do is pass along this warning:  We are under attack Unless something
drastic happens pretty soon, everyone will have to  suffer these  awful indignities.

Harry Potter was filmed as there are other
shots with the Caldron etc {my BIL who posted
these on her page does not always SAY where they were taken }

SEVEN PM Vicky Shocked BOY night owl hours
That is what Gil had a ♥️ scan but here at the house
and how they found he has a valve that is narrowed
but too dangerous the Dr said to operate so just watching it
but also being as my husband has signed a "DNR" clause
its kind of mute as if anything happens to him he does not
want to be "brought back" or put on machines confused2

Just got Gil up ,his brain is not working good today again
walked him out into the living room and told him to step sideways
before sitting on the couch where I dress him otherwise he would be
sitting on the arm ,he just stood there not moving as if he did not
know HOW to move his feet ,had to tell him THREE times before
he shuffled sideways headbanger
He is eating his cornflakes now then I can go out and get Spencer a
card for tomorrow ,going to give him $$ as he really does not need
anything else like clothes etc confused2
Back later run run

Morning Bond did you find the doll in your attic yet?
Well Buddy took it easy on me today ,did not wake
up till after 4am
Glad your weather is still OK more humid today here
with a high in our City around 80f ,and even though we
MAY have some next Tuesday/Wednesday
the temps are staying up ...

Yes Vicky hope its all good news at the "hop-i-tal" today
wonder if Dr Kildare is still around drunken ♥️♥️
I hope you made it to "someones" desk ,I have a question
is he what you would call a "silent boss" {silent partner}
get it
Oh I KILL myself

I have a few telephone to make today maybe a load
of washingbasket
This time 52 years ago I was being put through the wringer
at Keresley Hospital trying to induce my labor with Spencer
can remember it like it was YESTERDAY .....first a "SHAVE"
never had THAT done THERE before Shocked ,then the "HOSE"
enema ,NEVER thought I would leave the loo ,was in there SO LONG
the nurse came looking for me as I had a NICE HOT BATH waiting
Rolling Eyes HOT was not the word ,SCORCHING was more like it
but nothing happened ,just kept getting the hard and soft belly
that I had gotten before having Tracie and Blaine {did not know
then it was painless labor}
Seems I went from zero to 75 ,then jump in FULL BLAST for the last
lap to the finish line funnytvprog
When the 6th of October arrived they decided a nice warm glass
of caster oil AFTER giving me lamb chops and carrots for dinner
would be good Mad NOT!!
Still no painful contractions so sent me into the Dr for a look see
Shocked OH says she our already 5 centimeters open ,lets talk
that is when I found out my hard and soft belly I got before
giving birth was "painless" labor ...
Spencer decided to arrive after 1hr and 5 mins HARD labor at 8pm
Oct 6th ,then had to have two blood exchanges all cos my kids took
Gil's blood type A-Pos .....
So ends my tale

MORNING MARGE ....speak when you get back Vicky
Have fun Bond Surprised

Leading Players today and it's some work on the set if I can around the actors
Yes Carole we have been watching the 100 year driving school and most of them come out of it well, some of them never taking a driving test and some had been drivers in the war, most were slow careful drivers they did keep showing the one that went through a red light, one they agreed with her daughter that she should not drive again and bought her mobility scooter
Breakfast and it's Shredded Wheat and warm milk cornflakes and cold milk
Have a good one

What do you mean you still don't get the £14?

It only cost £5 anyway......LAST TIME it cost £14.   Simple. confused2

Ok maybe I should have put "It's only cost £5 to go and see Victoria & Abdul at the cinema ....the last time I went to the cinema it cost me £14"    Rolling Eyes

Avatar is the chair in the upstairs bedroom where Susan & Matt sleep.... Carole's bedroom when she comes over..

As Carole says Margaret you have to be 100% certain.

Bond I said Quote "I'll check it out Bond......  it only cost £5 anyway  confused2  last time it cost £14"  I think "Last Time" should have given you a clue.   funnytvprog

No this victorian nursing chair was all one without arms, very low on the ground and wide because of the wide victorian skirts.   We have got a lovely large chair up in Susan & Matt's bedroom  (Carole's bedroom)  it used to belong to a suite  (two settees & this large chair) we had before Susan was born when we changed our suite we kept this chair & put it upstairs so this must be at least 40 years old.

Good news about your  hoover  Carole, fancy delivering it in that state.   Mad

Ahhh Marge sorry your having 2nd thoughts
about what your doing ,could you not have asked
one of Ian's friends to help with the blinds
but I guess its what ever makes you feel comfortable

We have a lot of wild life around here had a Cooper Hawk
when we lived in Stratford ,thought it was an Owl when
I first saw it sitting in my tree
Over here it in Bridgeport it ranges from the deer that wander around
being as all the back gardens are open where we are now
to Skunk ,Possum and Raccoons who tip toe around at night
one of the other reasons I am glad Buddy stays IN NOW

OK back to resting for five minutes before starting dinner

Sleep tired morning
Did not have a good night, kept waking up every hour or so.
Don't know if it was the cats moving about or the thought of
how much money I have just committed to have the new
windows put in.
I do have a three day buyers "remorse" period to change my
mind, I still want the windows but want to change the
plan for replacing the sliding window in Peters office at the same
time. removing the drapes in the den is not a problem but
removing the set of mini blinds for the office is.
I am sure I can get them down but the twin full length mini blinds
weigh a ton to get back up again. I am not sure I want them back up again
anyway. they are better constructed these days.

Instead I think I will add something to the large windows to make it look like
small panes of glass which can be removed to clean the windows.(mullions )
It would fit the look of the beach I am going for. Plus I would only have disturbance
in one room not two!
Eventually I will do the office sliders the same way and the back door.
The front door can wait until I find what I envision for the front of the house.
I don't have to do it all at once as I do have other irons in the fire with Big Red.
Good job all the other windows were replaced several years ago and are good
quality so should last a long time.
I don't know where the group are going for dinner tonight, will await a call later.

sunny is out with a little sea mist hanging around , its 75.5f and 51% humidity
at 10:40 am here with not a breath of a breeze.

Gardeners will be here later to cut down all the weedy shoots of the peppers trees
growing along the outside of my fence in the back. They are so tall now I cannot see my
view. They are doing it a little at a time so as to not overfill the green waste bin.
The Lantana has spread along two thirds of the fence now and I want to save as much of that as we can.
It brings in the humming birds and butterflies.

Saw a Red Tailed hawk yesterday while measuring the windows, it was soaring on thermals, wings
outstretched looking for prey.
The young man who lives in a city apartment was flabbergasted that we have such a range of
wildlife living with us. I knew it was something big as the shadow was the first thing I was aware of
as it passed overhead the first time. Then we both saw it floating along.
Glad to see he is still around, no sign of the sparrow hawks though.
Must away to the grind, lots of washingbasket to do today. TTFN

This is our nursing chair, I don't know about victorian but it's old, it was on blue and white candy stripes but getting scruffy we had it reupholstered as you see it, we used to have Sally out China faced doll sitting in it to stop people dropping into it
