On dear Marge maybe you should slow down
a bit then ,your condition does it make you need the loo
more ,is that your Uterous ? as mine back when I had one
mine was "tilted" and they tried to correct it by inserting a contraption
that for a while sat it right , I was told having four pregnancies was
the cause ,of course that all came out when I was 41 and had my hysterectomy
Anyway hope you feel better soon
We are breaking weather records here in Bridgeport warmest Sept and Oct on record
and we are at 70 as I type this at 445pm

Vicky just started my new read it starts in Germany in November 1939
the young girls family is Jewish and the have just been told to get out
their house by the soldiers ,the mother was going to try to get to her sisters
Then the next chapter starts in London 1938
Ok Bond more L& L if you please
Gil cleared his plate even DRANK the gravy ,so much for
saying before he ate that he did not want any as he had a sore throat
Had my shower and looking forward to laying on my bed
More l&l please Bond ...sleep tight everyone

Slept in again this morning, just having my first cup of
We were at California Pizza last night so had a small pepperoni and mushroom pizza
with a glass of red wine (after the stress so far this week I deserved it!).
Took Big Red and they have upped the idle speed but it diesels a bit when
I turn it off. I know they do what they can but I think I should look for a more
specialized place to deal with Big Red. Dave says some times its like being in the twilight zone
dealing with my car., meaning he is having to use his little grey cells from when he first started
working on cars!
I would never give these guy a bad review because they have gone over and above what their
job calls for to look after Big Red.

I got my property tax first payments in and post marked with the 1st of November(the last day
for it to get there on time) the second payment is due at the end of January.
I could not make head or tail of the instructions this time. Last year I know I read that I could
pay both parts at the same time and did so but the land goes to one office and the house to
another and how I did not mix them up, I don't know. It has to have the county tax agents
number on the check and the envelope. (I have just too many irons in the fire at the same time.)

The property tax on the house has gone up some so that's why I am paying it in two parts
this time. I have been having my IRS taxes deducted from my income monthly so I don't get
a big lump to pay in April like last year and this past April. Its because my income is taxable
at a higher rate (they don't let you get away with any extra $$$ if they can help it).

Lorna just called to say I am invited to Teresa's house for Thanksgiving. Think I will take something
different this time, I think a box of Godiva chocolates would be a nice hostess gift.
They are wonderful to have with coffee after a meal. (Will have to tell Teresa to keep them away from
her teenage grandson as he would eat the whole box if not watched and not know they are to be
savoured slowly.)

I am a bit up in the air about going up to spend Xmas with Melanie and Jim as I seem to be developing
a female problem that I have had before, its called a uterine prolapse.
Its not a serious problem but should be taken care of. Going to call my Dr. for an appointment.
We will see what she says and take it from there. Don't get worried, as I said I have had one before.
Just won't be riding the broomstick for a while. Smile

still cool here but at least its a bit brighter than it was yesterday. might be a few spots of drizzle
during the day somewhere about but doubt we will get any here.

Just looked at Tabbitha staring out the window and there is a squirrel walking along the top of
the fence. Usually they walk along the wires which are higher up.

Its nearly lunch time here so think it will be soup today, cream of tomato and toasted cheese
sandwiches. Yummy TTFN

cheers  Here I am.......went to  on the way out.....I'd asked her if she liked Ovaltine, we'd bought some the other week but I wasn't sure if I liked it, tried it a couple of times and  didn't like it and David never has  so I've given it to ....got to her house and she opened the door.....well it started me off coughing it was thick with smoke.   Mad

David took Steve early this morning to the garage to have his car serviced, wasn't sure if he'd want his Dad to take him back to pick the car up, so we went to Palmers being as we'd not be that far if it turned out he did ......anyway it turned out Claire was going to give him a lift so he didn't need us.

Yes you are being good Carole.

Books interesting......

Back later......

Good afternoon all, it's been a lovely day with the Leading Players, Dawn the boss wasn't there today she is in India at a wedding, lucky for some, so we ran it today,  the principle players went through their lines and we looked after the others with a bit of colouring in
Then I got them colouring and making paper aeroplanes then had a race with them to see who's went the furthest and they loved it
Right tea and warm mini mince pies

Last time I spoke to the GP about it Vicky
he suggested getting Tonic Water as it has
Quinine in it and what they also used to give
sailors .....cannot have a lot of salt even if I wanted
it ,but thought it was more lack of Calcium
And YES as soon as I felt it start I jumped up from the bed trying
to straighten my foot out  ,managed to hobble to the bathroom to put
it on the cold tile floor but it was still not "undone" when I hobbled
back into the bedroom ,my first thing to do when I feel it starting
is to try and pull my toes and foot backwards ,but today my foot was
twisted to one side never had THAT happen before confused2

Just had my one egg omelet with a little cheese
Doing Corned Beef and cabbage for later
What ever you do then Vicky have fun x run run

Lack of salt Carole? confused2

Did you get up and walk about on it until it went? Footballers get cramp in their foot often, you see the Physio bending their foot backwards towards their leg.

Well the car park is big enough to see Bond, I thought it was the only large car park there confused2 and other people were paying to park....it's the one near the swimming baths, leisure centre, .didn't see another car park Bond, Atherstone only has the one street really, Rob used to go out with the landlords daughter Loiuse of the "Three Tuns" oldest pub in Atherstone.(Rob said he doesn't think her Dad still has the pub now...not sure) that was when Rob, Louise, Dawn (who he sees now....had started seeing when him and Louise split up when they were 18 then Dawn went onto Teachers Training College and she ended up finishing with Rob, she was too snowed under with work to have a boyfriend, though Rob was really cut up about it) Abby, (he called his Guinea Pig after Abby) and Ian were in College. Abby, Louise & Dawn kept in touch and Abby now talks to Rob on FB she told him the other month to say "Hi" to me....they were a great bunch. Louises Dad was Italian....we used to drop Rob off at the Three Tuns and then pick him up later on. Louise went to London to work for Vivian Westwood the designer.

Not sure what we'll be doing today Carole.

Morning ....well I have NEVER experienced
a cramp like I had at 330am ,my whole foot
was twisted and I could not straighten it and the
PAIN headbanger
Going to have to address this with my GP when
I go next month as I fear it could be a circulation
problem confused2
But OK now and its CRAZY we are starting the day at
the temp we ended yesterday with we are at 55f and should
hit 67f by 3pm
The are showing NEXT week though and looks like we might
get our FIRST wet snow Friday ,with the highs from Wednesday
through Friday only in the 40's and over night temps in the 30's
Looks like our late "summer run" is winding down just in time
for Thanks Giving & Christmas
OK so whats every one doing ,we know Bond is at Owen Center
So excited for Marge getting all her things falling into place
Awnings, windows, BR
Now is Vicky shopper  or having visitors  or on the telephone

WE have to WAIT and see
I shall be back later run run run

They're lilac shoes Bond......matches the rest of my outfit.

We parked in the car park near the swimming baths and we had to pay, that was when we were looking for an antique shop.......we walked up and down the street but it didn't and so we went back to the car.   If there's a gap in the street you wouldn't have to pay ok but we weren't lucky and had to go into the car park.

You don't pay in Clifton or Clevedon and they do have lovely individual shops.        Though I do love Leamington Spa....you have meters there though.  Of course you have the High Street shops there as well as the individual shops.    It's very much like Bath in design, lovely place.

Yes they don't mess about in America.....if that guy in the bowling alley had been shot all hell would have broken out though, we're too soft over here..

Hi ladies, lovely pink shoes Vicky,
you don't have to pay for it parking in Atherstone, a couple of the centre car parks have a two hour time limit but the rest have A eight or twelve hour free parking
I did think that about what Marg said that that man at the bowling ally would of been shot if it had been in the USA
Hot chocolate?

I've got quite a few fascinators Margaret.....bought a few when Susan was getting married, couldn't make my mind up which to go for..... confused2    though I've got 3 large hats also which I've bought over the years.

Gosh that's terrible about the guy at the school Margaret.....as to the lady with the heart attack I expect Ian & his friends told that story at school for ages.

Oh the out of town big stores don't charge for parking Margaret....like Fosse Park, neither do Whitemores antigues (where we eat)  or  Woodlands.   Heart of the Country shopping Village....Dobbies don't, Palmers either.      In fact it's only Nuneaton town and Athstone town centre you've got to pay to park,  in most town centres that's the case.,  I think that's what's killing the town centres off.       A lot of ours are so much an hour.....though a few are pay at the machine and the barrier goes up.....that works at the hospital also.

Avatar that's the outfit I wore for Susan's wedding.....fascinator.

Hi Marge that was a shock thing but it saved the day
what they are saying around here is that they only come to a house that has signs of Halloween outside so we didn't have any callers
So we have a few sweets plus are standard chocolate biscuits bars out the fridge

Quite a dressy lady our Vicky.
I only feel comfortable in a little hat
or fascinator, some of those I have seen
come close to being like a regular big
hat.

Well most pressing job done and out of the way.
Its the weekly dinner tonight and I will have to
phone Pam to find out where we are going.
I just didn't feel I could be good company last week.
I just didn't want to have anyone fuss over me if
I admitted how I really felt.

What happed yesterday in New York was terrible
They are having their NY marathon this week end
and they don't want another incident like the
Boston marathon a few years ago as this always
inspires copy cats. The Mayor and the Govenor
of the state must be having kittens about having a safe event.

We had our own little incident here, a parent had a mental breakdown
(we think brought on by drugs) and wanted to get his kids out of the school
they attend to do what we don't know at this point. He burst in the only
point of entry at the school through the office and broke a male teachers nose
when he tried to stop him. he ended up holding a 70 yr old kindergarten
teacher hostage for several hours while the rest of the K-6th grade students were
evacuated by the police. I guess he would not answer when the police tried to
talk to him or asked to talk to the teacher so when the school was clear they
broke the door down and shot him. They don't think he was armed but he
did have a back pack with him. The teacher is OK aside from being shaken up.
The guy died on the way to the hospital.
The older kids helped calm the younger ones down at a nearby Park by letting
them call their parents to tell them they were OK.
It was a real scare on a Halloween they won't forget. They were all dressed up,
even the teachers for the schools Halloween parade.

I can't help it but I must tell you what happened on one Halloween when I was escorting Ian
and a friend around trick or treating while Peter was at home giving out the sweets.
The two of them knocked on a door on the next street to us and got no answer so they looked
through the letter box and could see an old lady lying on the floor so after checking that they
were not pulling my leg I had to call the police and paramedics. It was a heart attack that felled her
after getting out of her chair to answer the door. It seems her grown daughter had gone to get more
sweets as they had run out. The boys were more excited about seeing a real dead body on Halloween!
Little boys can be so gross.

Thank goodness our big stores don't make us pay to park in Torrance, parts of Redondo Beach do have parking meters though as they have smaller places to park in the Village area. You can use a credit card to put in the amount of time you think you will need or use coins,I think its $1 an hour. We always went with plenty of change. Its so much easier with individual meters than a pay point but there are more and more of them
here. Some businesses will validate your parking ticket for you so no fee at all. you put it in the machine
on the way out and the barrier goes up, so simple.
Of course its a lot different in places like Hollywood or Rodeo Drive. And attractions like the Queen Mary
you pay about $10 to just park! I think it cost us $8 at the Aquarium as we could validate our ticket on
the way out of the Aquarium by the door. It would be the same cost whether we stayed for two hours or
all day.

These days they'd be sacked.      But Woman were just as bad a the men....I used to feel sorry for the young guys, I remember our Bob (uncle really) hated going to the office when he worked (before he went into the army at 17)  at the cotton mill, a woman said to my Gran  "Your Bob's face is red by the time he's left the office"   I used to think "Leave my Bob alone" I was about 7.......then when I started working in an office I used to feel sorry for the young guys who came to our office......though the men got their own back when us girls had to go to their work place.

it was from a book I've just read about a group of painters working in the 70s and the things they said and did back then, wolf whistles, comments to other workers" put your head in people will think it's a cattle truck going by " put your hat on they're sacking the old uns'"

CERTAINLY an eye  OPENER
Vicky ,what you trying to do get Bonds
blood flowing funnytvprog funnytvprog
Lovely "HAT" your looking out from UNDER funnytvprog
Don't know why I have NEVER been a hat person
once in a while a baseball cap
Well its a little cold this morning to what we have been
getting ,actually Bridgeport is the WARMEST City on the map
this morning at 530am at 41f all others being in the 30's
BUT our HIGH today will be close or at 70f confused2

So did anyone have the little people knocking their doors
I have been back here now 4 yrs and had not a ONE ,maybe
its because we are on a dead end street I do not know or that
there are not many "young families" living around here but OK by me

Had both boys all safely tucked up with me last night ,always good
having a "full" house .I sometimes miss the crowd crying

Gil said he wants a lie in this morning so guess I will go get the other
prescription that I called in Monday ,wish they all needed refilling at
the SAME time ,but that is not how it works headbanger

BOND BOND come on get out that shower you will look like
a PRUNE nono

Well hope everyone had a good night ,so far so good for me
150/ Vicky a tad high but passable wish they would sort you out
do you take it at the same time of day  and place before or after a
meal  when you take it ?

Cannot BELIEVE Tracie will be 57 this month {25th}
How can my kids be THIS old when in my head I only FEEL around THAT
age {not the body just the head}
And this year I will be joining Marge {being a 1942 baby} celebrating my
3/4 of a century birthday Rolling Eyes  NO NO SAY IT ISN'T SO

Alright Spencer just gone and Blaine in the shower  so away I go

BACK LATER

MORNING  MARGE ,whoops sorry was you still Sleep Sleep

Would you believe its drizzling here!
They are forecasting lots of clouds for the next few days with rain next
weekend.
Car is running good but don't like to drive rear wheel BR when the road gets
its first taste of water after being dry for so long, it brings the oil up to the
surface and makes the going quite slippery.
Young mechanic has a line on a man that will do the weatherstripping on BR.
He is going to call me later with the address and phone number.

Ian called while I was waiting for my ride . I sent him an update on what has
been going on since he was here and he phoned me so had to cut it short
when a young lady in a Prius arrived.

Got the order in for the new awning and a roll down blind for the side window
as there is no room to put a rollaway awning on that side , too near the fence.
These things have a 10' pull out and I only have about 8' to the fence and the
arms would be across the side path so no one could get in or out.
That will be here in about two weeks. The windows should be ready in about 3-4
weeks.
I asked if doing what is usually the other way round will obstruct the window
replacement and he says no. Its a matter of inches though.
these windows are made to be put in with no external damage to the stucco
or wood frame.
These houses were built with metal window frames which warped over time
and let the wind in everywhere. That has been fixed thank goodness, its just
the big windows in the den now .

Its back to the grind for me as I need to go to the post office and grocery store.

Well we are back ,Dr did a scope up you know where
said he did not see any large polyps only a couple of
small ones near the neck of the bladder ,but that his Prostrate
is big ,so the bleeding COULD have come from that ,and he said
there are pills he can take to decrease the size but wants to
have Gil get a Cat scan first to make sure nothing else is
going on say in his Kidneys ,but he said there is no real rush
right now being as there are no large lumps in the bladder
I told him my problem is GETTING him ANYWHERE
We almost did not make it again either as Gil had rolled
over to my side of the bed when I went to get him up
and when he got up he staggered and went down slowly sliding
onto the floor ,I cannot lift him and so it looked like we were
having to cancel the appointment as its almost like he does every
thing in reverse when you ask him to lift UP he pushes DOWN

Danny walked him down the stairs but coming home he went up with
me behind and is like a BULL in a CHINA shop headbanger
Next time I will have Danny bring him up ....

Before I forget Marge will be late in she was waiting on a ride
to go get BR

Beautiful day outside although a tad cooler but its dry at least
and the sunny is out

We are having Cod in the oven tonight with a veggie Spencer
has last nights dinner to eat as he said his tummy had been upset
all day at work and never ate after coming home from Carmen's

I will do Blaine a ham steak and sausages and a jacket potato
as he does not like fish

Your eating well Vicky hows the BP these days

Ahhh Bond has a BOO BOO ,some do NOT have the touch

I shall be back ,just put some stuffed boneless skinless chicken breasts
in the freezer ,you slice them almost all the way through and put in the
slices pieces of onion tomato and sprinkle with cheese before baking
