run run Has he posted run run
Benjie did you see him
Sniff sniff NO ,,,,  we seek him here ,we seek
him there but the elusive Sir G is it seems is ONCE AGAIN
NO WHERE nono
I can't stand it another visit last night at 8pm and NO MESSAGE headbanger

Morning Bond ,over here those panels are very popular but in the white
plastic ,we had the 8ft high wood panels at the other house ,my
ex had it erected because we had Max back when we first moved
there and he was a RUNNER ,show him an open door and he was AWAY
and I hate tying a dog up ,we got him at 18 mths from a animal rescue
but obviously this was ingrained in him as we were told most of that
time he was shut in the basement as the then owners did not want him
jumping up on the wife ,so we understood WHY he would try to escape
even though he had the run of our house ,he died the year Gil came back
from a brain aneurysm we believe as he started crying during the night
while lying by the bed with us and it seemed like he was having a bad dream
but then when Gil got up to see he gave his last breath and when Blaine
and Gil lifted him blood came out his ear ...he was buried in the garden
as is Saba and Gabby ,Max was a BIG boy though weighed 110lb he was
part Lab part Shepherd Sad

OK sad thoughts away getting ready for the Arctic BLAST .........
45f and DROPPING as the WIND starts

I think it will be a   this morning Bond
MORNING LADIES

Good morning all from Atherstone it's just breaking light here
Yes I remember that wire and wood fencing before the post and panels became popular,
I'm thinking it was chestnut fencing, we still have a couple of remnants left in the hedge that has grown thick around it that's been a here for 50 Years
Breakfast and it's cornflakes and hot milk toast and marmalade Coffee tea orange juice L&LS back later

Oh it's not Timmy Carole.....it's a Selfie of you.    sigh!!!!

Oh Margaret,  big cuddles from us all.

When I hear or read the word  "Yosemite"   I think of Sylvia, she told the story of when they went to America and visited  Yosemite, and when her & Cliff got home she was telling some friends about it but she couldn't say " Yosemite"   Cliff just laughed and laughed listening to her trying to say " Yosemite"  Smile   and yet when she was telling Tony & me she said  Yosemite with no trouble.

Don't know which avatar you  can see now but it should be Steve at 6 months. Chubby cheeks. funnytvprog

Its a good morning here again, temps in the low to mid 70s today.
The humidity is creeping up, its 52% right now.
There is a front out in the Pacific headed this way which has brought rain to
Vancouver, Seattle and northern California but which might be out of rain by the
time we get the tail end it.

Mammoth Mountain ski resort on the back slope of the Sierras from Yosemite is officially
open today with mostly man made snow. They had a bumper year last winter, all the
rain we had here made lots and lots of real snow for them. They were open until
July 4th this year!

There were 7 at the table in the China Buffet and I had my usual, I know what I eat there
and its not going to upset my tummy.
Next week its going to be a 50s diner called the Hot 'n Tot. I have never been there but
I can pull up their web site and take a peek at their menu.

I did talk to Pam's Husband Carole and he made a good suggestion for you about English Bangers.
There would be a problem sending some from here but there is an outfit based in NY called
Parkers which specializes in all kinds of British food Items. They advertise online and ship
directly to the customer. I have no idea about prices so will check them out a little later.
I have seen their advert on my FB a few times but did not really pay attention as I have
Pam and Michaels shop here.
Had a really tough day yesterday, I was working on my computer and for no reason started to cry
big tears which was just the moment that Ian decided to call me and that pulled me out of it.
It was not the sobbing type but just streams of tears!
I was looking at table lamps at the time so nothing to do with how I was feeling. I guess it is
to be expected now and again. I made myself go out to dinner with the group and was glad I did.
I know I am juggling a lot right now but do not feel over whelmed by it.

No call about Big Red yet so hope everything is OK. Dave should have called me if there was a problem.
Think tomorrow I will go in to Rite Aid and get my Flu shot as I am behind on doing that as I usually
get it in late Sept to mid Oct. Our flu season usually gets into full gear after Xmas here on the West coast.
Do NOT want to get sick over Xmas again this year!!!!(note to self, get hand sanitizer and wipes,
also vitamin C and Zinc lozenges. they boost the Immune system).
Its not going to be half the stress it was going to Provence last Xmas.! Shocked
Well, time to love you and leave you as I have a whole day in front of me here.
Meeting tonight so must be bright and bushy tailed for that, TTFN

Was going to ask if that was David's mum
Yes you've come a long way baby as they say

New carpet just arrived ,just killed myself trying
to lug it in from where FedEx left it propped up outside
the front door
Just  Spencer asking if he will bring it up stairs
when he gets home ,glad he is home again tonight
The one up here will go down in his room to cover another
spot on the cold concrete painted floor
I gave him the three throw rugs we had over our WW in the other house
as did not need them up here when we moved in

We are having jacket potato beans sausages ( nothing like UK ones )
Fresh sauteed mushrooms and tomatos for dinner but having a rest for a bit
first

Oh well when you put the odd Christmas thing on your window ledge or what ever....open that.

Asda sells hot cross buns most of the year Carole   confused2   Oh oh just remembered I bought some this week.   Smile

I'm really enjoying my book as well......they weren't good parents nothing how they came across in the Victoria series,THOUGH they adored, and spoilt Beatrice, their last child, she was 4 when her Dad, Albert, died.

Avatar is David's Mum & the boys & me in 73, in our garden.....no wooden fence though just a wire fence which the builders had put up to divide the gardens.....from small acorns grow.  funnytvprog

When I put up all the WHAT ???
Not even sure if I am erecting the tree
this year ,as its me who puts it up and ME
who has to take it all down again ,no joy any more
I promise not to look at the other one though

OK back to my book ,Lisa is off "up town" to look around
with a young German boy who was also sent by train from
Germany ,but he quit school and is working for some black market
dude ,she knows her real mother would not approve of him
or her foster parents ,but he reminds her of her home and
he likes her and protects and and she likes him so she
is going for the adventure .....

It's really cold out there Bond......I was talking on the telephone to Susan this morning, she's working from home,  and she was saying she'll have to wear her long johns under her jeans when she goes to Edinburgh with Matt to watch Scotland v New Zealand rugby match (it's his birthday present from Susan)  it'll be cold.

And tea for me please Bond.

Gosh it's arrived already Carole That's good......when you putting all the glitter up you can open the Christmas one....but not the other. nono

England are allowed to wear the Poppy now....FIFA have given in, (as long as the opposition say it's ok )   last year England & Ireland's teams got fined because they had Poppies on their shirts....bunch of morons FIFA are....anyway they've seen sense and we can wear our Poppies now.

Evening ladies, I was going to say about poppies and other countries, I went over to a college in Germany to see how they did construction training and some time later around this time of year a team came over here and I was their guide, as I said it was this time of year and they (the students) asked why the people were wearing these red flowers, so we had to explain in friendly way

I have an assortment of Poppies , one is an acrylic version from
a museum, one is metal one overlaid with a propeller (its an
Air Force one) and I have  two or three paper ones which are
hard to come by here. I know Pam has them at the shop but
you rarely see anyone out with a table or tray here.

When I wear mine I get asked where I got it as most people
are not aware of the custom.
My Grand father served in WW1, his only son served in WW2.
both came home I am glad to say.
I know Peter had a relative who served in WW1. He came home
forever changed by being gassed. His Father served in WW2
Even Pops older brother who emigrated to Australia in 1936
served in the army of that country.
Its an honor to wear a Poppy in remembrance of all those
brave young men who fought and died or came home having lost
most of their best friends who signed up together and were
permanently scared physically and mentally for the rest of their
lives.

Just to remind my neighbors who else served besides the Yanks,
I will be hanging out my Union Jack for the day along side my
Stars and Stripes. It will fly a little lower as is the custom here.
But it is the same size.

I see some of your avatars and not others, I see the one of Bonds group
selling Poppies, I see Carole's glamor shot and Vicky I see (I think its you)
with two of your boys.
Have to close now as I may get a call to pick up BR and I want to be ready.
I  put the big bins out for collection and rolled away the awning yesterday
evening.
It will be the China Buffet tonight for the girls. I love Chinese food.
A little fried rice and a little noodles, lots of stir fry veggies and a small
helping of either chicken or beef with a small egg roll.
There is a huge variety of food and its all freshly cooked.
My mouth is watering already.
TTFN
PS. have not forgotten to ask Pam about the sausages.

Ah seeing you all selling poppies

No Carole I still see the TV.....and you can see who with their two sons?    My avatar is supposed to be Benjie.    confused2    What are you seeing Bond?   I know you can see Carole and legs but what's my avatar?     I nearly put a 1972 one on when I had my long hair, I was going to say "We all seemed to have long hair around that time"  but decided to put Benjie on instead.     confused2

We (David & I) went and met up with Tony.....not seen him since Sylvia's funeral, so it was good to catch up.

Glad Bob the Robin is ok Bond.

If I was using David's iPad I would see you and the legs Carole.....but this no.  confused2 I do remember the photo though.

shopper There you then fridgefood filled for another week
Carole funny you saying a out a bkrd house for Bob, I'm looking in the charity shops for a tea pot going cheap funnytvprog no stop it I've seen a bird house feeder in our arts Nd and crafts shop, it's a teapot fixed to a piece of wood through its bottom and the lid fixed to a little shelf one the spout so you can put seeds in the tea pot and they dribble out onto the lid or block the hole up and just have the lib for drinking and hope a bird (bob) uses it for A nest box, they have been known to nest in empty plant pots watering can
So fingers crossed

I'm only seeing the TV Carole.   confused2

Don't talk about poppies....I bought my poppy & pin...couldn't get it in my coat, I was wearing the one with the big fur collar, so I put the poppy & pin  headbanger  in my bag.  Couldn't find the pin when I got into the car....pulled everything carefully out, no it wasn't there....it must be THEN I saw it gleaming so found it, I stuck the pin in a tissue BUT I can't find the tissue now.  so have to find another pin but where is that stupid pin I had?     I have thought about buying a brooch but don't like the idea of having a brooch I wear every year  the whole point is giving money every year to the poppy appeal .....I suppose I could buy a poppy every year but still wear my brooch but then people will think "Oh she's just bought a brooch"  and M&S only give 30% to the charity nono  I suppose I could go to the official site   Mad

Been food shopping  shopper

Ok later......oh certainly night out Bond.....then night in.

Benjie Carole.....avatar that is, not you funnytvprog
