Morning been messing around on the
since I was gotten up by a certain catmilkbowl
at 6am ,guess I spoke too soon when I said he
had stopped "dive bombing" the bed early in
the morning wanting up to get up ,as once we are up
he settles down {most times}

Anyway not quite as warm here at 6am it was 66f {yesterday
it was 70f} but today will be the HOTTEST day and yesterday
at 4pm we sat at 87f fan
they are now saying after Maria passes us next week our temps
will become MORE AUTUMN like dropping down into the 60's

Glad your getting some sunshine though over there,is that a stadium
in your Avatar Vicky ?
My friend Jen and her husband Dave who lived up from my Mum
in Coventry live in Spain have been for about 20 yrs now but right
now they are holidaying in Canada before returning home, they
have had some AWFUL heat this year ,so much so they went North
to escape it a little earlier in the year

Well better go get Gil up before he starts moaning .....
I shall return hope your all BRIGHT EYED and bushy tailed Shocked

Good evening, back early well it was a party for the over 65s so it started at 3:00 and finished about 7:30 we didn't play many of the guests records, we were chatting about the old days that much we didn't hear the records had finished so a big gap between music but we did play a good 60 70 80 name that tune off utube
Right got to go and see what the butlers on about some dizzy pretty blonde women wanted to have her photo took draped over the bonet of the Roller cheers

Your lucky Mrs B {or should we say BARONESS B }
was not watching out through the lace curtains ,Albert
could have gotten his marching orders .
Bonds STUDY window ,whoooo wonder what he was doing
funnytvprog

Well the headball for today is DONE with ,PHEW ! now
he is watching the car auction show Rolling Eyes
He is not in the best of moods either .must be the affects
of that "NEW" moon last Wednesday Mad Mad

Well gotta go find something for dinner for Gil and I ,left overs
probably
Spencer said Carmen {who suffers with depression anyway}
is upset as she still cannot contact her family ,Spencer can only
keep telling her things will be OK confused2
They were saying it could take up to 6 MONTHS to restore power
to certain areas ,you have to have been there to understand
people built wooden huts/shacks in the mountain areas ,living
very primitive in some places and these are the areas hit hard
Even if you tried to go over to look for family a lot of roads are
blocked or flooded

Another thing I see Mexico just had another 6.earthquake
adding insult to injury

Vicky where's Bond its TEA TIME

I agree with Carole that's really bad Margaret......"Give it to him Ian"

I don't get these kids texting, Susan & Matt often sit on the sofas opposite each other, heads down, texting away confused2 ......give me a good natter any day. littleBlond "Mutters" .....well I can't text anyway but that's not the reason.

He was quite good was the gate keeper......opened the gate so I could get a better snap.....he was a love, if pesky Albert hadn't arrived he'd of let me take photos through Bond's study window.....

Morning Marge ,I hope Ian gives the manager
HELL ,in fact I would ASK to speak to him from
the word GO ,2 weeks old and its not working
and the guy could fix it for $100 ,why would you want
to do THAT no Sears should send out another one

Sounds like Big Red will be ALL "purdy" with all the things
your finding, did you ever call that man to look at the engine ?

Glad to hear you spoke to Melanie as well ,its nice to text but MUCH BETTER
to speak in person ,why I enjoyed my chat with my daughter last week
when she called after she landed

Vicky what have you told us ,not to take  of these high class
places nono .....good job the gate keeper took a fancy to you
with your "curls" again ,otherwise it could have been "off with
her head and into the dungeon with her"

Well I went shopper  while Blaine was still home ,but Gil
waited till I got home saying he needed to wee ,why could you not have
asked your son said I ,no reply from "him"
He is watching Liverpool right now
Spencer will be checking out in 2 mins as he only works 1/2 a day if
he has to work Saturday
What you mean had he not eaten he could have spent more time
with Carmen Vicky ,I never tied him to the chair ,he ate cos he was hungry
funnytvprog
He always eats at least 1/2 what I prepare ,then he eats the rest when he comes
home from her house during the week ,of course tonight he will stay over her house
and I do not cook for the lads Saturday or Sunday as I was wasting SO MUCH food
as they would come in late and not want to eat anything so I said fine
find your own meals on the weekend as my mum always said
"there are people STARVING to death all over the world and would LOVE
what your wasting/not wanting  "

I am very pleased with my white rose Vicky its multicolored white /cream/pale
yellow/tinged with pink ,had the most blooms from it this year
OK so I shall away just made Gil a ham sarnie so he is OK for a while
I think he has a "tape worm" always hungry and does NOTHING to
make him so headbanger

Hi Bond

As I said everything went to do-do after a lovely day planned.
Never mind the passes are not dated so we can go another day.
Plumber showed up about 10 minutes past his due time but had an electric
gizmo that told him that the motor is not working properly so he gave us a paper
stating he could fix it for $100 or go back to Sears and get it replaced.
(its only two weeks old) We dashed out the door to Sears and were told
they had not been notified yet so could not start a work order and to wait 24 hours.
Ian comes by there every day so he is going in there this morning to raise H###!
Even if he has to talk to the man in charge of the store!
We grabbed a bite to eat and drove to the Spectrum office to have the billing name changed
and came home and went through Ian' s new spread sheet for my incoming and out going
money trail. Its all good in that department.

Then he went online and ordered a new set of weather stripping for Big Red and a set of
Firebird mats along with a new Firebird decal for the indented key hole on the trunk.
Its set in the plastic between the brake lights and is shaped like a Firebird but it originally
had a decal in there so if its available, why not. confused2
We might also need the felt window inserts, that we can also order and just hang onto them
and if they are needed we don't have to mess around looking for them.
Oh, also ordered new rear seat belts but have not found the front ones yet.
Most of this stuff was on e-bay anyway so miles cheaper than ordering it from a classic
car place.
Today I get the morning off, then Ian and I will have a light lunch and leave for the San Fernando
Valley where the one woman play is. the plan is we get there early enough to have dinner somewhere
and then go to the show. After, depending on how many Cal State Long Beach Alumni from the Drama
department John has rounded up, we will go for a couple of drinks somewhere.
We are both light drinkers if we are driving so a beer for him and a white wine spritzer for me.
Tomorrow is the N/H end of summer get together in the afternoon/evening. Need to bring food
to share.
Actually talked to Melanie yesterday after she had a long nap, She says she has next to no
pain now the scar tissue has gone. She is still on the PIC line as she is still getting some
meds through it for now. She will be on a light diet for now until her stomach heals some more.
She will have at least a couple of follow up visits to UC San Francisco but not for a couple of weeks.
Its been so busy here but we have done 98% of Ian's list so its all good.

Ian is going to change the Morgan Stanley account to a paperless one as they must notify their
clients on a regular basis but the paperwork is drowning me and I have no idea how much I really
need to keep so Ian gets it all online from now on and can notify me if I need to take any action.
I need to keep getting the other paper statements as I can quickly spot any mistakes and
take care of them on the spot.
Missed the Man U game as I slept in. Now its time for some breakfast and decide what I am going
to wear this evening. TTFN

I do hope Melanie is over her long drive back home.......she'll be so pleased to be home though.

Oh they'll be headball  for Gil today Carole.

Nice White Rose also Carole.

littleBlond  not doing tea & cake......what are they thinking.     But it's a good idea......IF I can drag him there.  Mad

Oh btw it's curly today.......

Hi, mind Vicky it's cold out there or has someone said that?
Yeas this has four discs of hits of the day 60s and 70s, 100 hits from the Kinks to mungo jerry and Johnny Leyton to Mud, great for doing pop quizzes
Nice hair do, I'm getting used to it being straight littleBlond
I've just popped out to a local art groups exhibition in Atherstone, they are exhibitions on all over Nuneaton and Bedworth too this weekend, so if you are looking for a nice day original to buy and a nice cup of tea and cake have a look, there's one on at the heritage centre in Coton and they will have a list of the others, there is one at Caldicote village Hall Hall but only open Sunday , plus Nuneaton train station so a good chance for a nose about but mind it's cold out, can I hear someone saying that?
Just seen the map it's on at 20 places in the area but not all doing tea and cake

COLD did that lady with the newly
quaffed hairdo say funnytvprog at 7am its 70f
and going UP

One of the pictures Spencer took while waiting to get into
their hotel room was on TV ,it was 100% different what a shame
all debris where the trees were and the dock along the water front
The latest now is a Dam has a crack in it and they have evacuated
70,000 or trying to telling them to get to higher ground ,,
right now MARIA is still a CAT 3 Hurricane with 120 mph winds
as it approaches the Caico's ? and then they are watching it close as
it starts up this way ,most models say it should make that right hand turn
away from the mainland
And Jose is STILL spinning around off to our right making it very breezy
here with the sunny & heat ,but that is OK can you imagine 90f tomorrow
and its late SEPTEMBER headbanger

Bond I can relate to your comment when people say they are looking forward
to the weekend I say being retired EVERY DAY FEELS LIKE A WEEKEND

Well got up at 330am and fed Buddy ,and sometime after we must have had a
power out as I woke at 630am to see my clock flashing and the cable TV off
it normally has the time on the front when you turn the TV off ,all it said
was "TURN ON" telling you electric service must have been stopped ...
Could have been the wind as I heard my chimes going all night
Spencer getting ready to leave he was home early after eating last
night he popped to the park met up with Carmen and was home by 830pm
She went out selling her perfume ,she seems to be doing very well at it

So that is my news
Wonder if Marge and Ian got to go to the Aquarium ,and hope they sorted
her new dish washer ,what was wrong with it Marge confused2
I see Melanie posted she was home safe ,so here's hoping every thing
goes GREAT for her from now on cheers

Have to check to see if there are headball on today for Gil

Back later

Brrrrr!!!   it's cold out there.   Went to the hairdressers this morning and it was cold.

Keep your head covered Bond have I said it's cold out there......  good job I darned my bottle greens the other day.

Yes I can imagine how much Carmen will be worried about her family in Puerto Rico.  To think only a couple of days earlier she'd been there all happy at the wedding.       Seen on the TV how bad it is.        My friend Janice was saying Hong Kong was hit a couple of months ago and Ben, Hazel and the baby booked into a hotel for a couple of days because the power went in their area, so with the baby  confused2  but of course they're saying Puerto Rico could be months without power everywhere.  Mad  and all the babies there.....yes they're certainly going through it.

Oh it's cold......have I told you?   run  run  run  run Oh sorry Bond no that's not the CD, with David's there's 4 disc's ....can't look at it because it's in David's car.

Shocked I will only say ONE thing then lets DROP
the subject ...
When David said you were in the hospital all I said
was "oh no I hope its nothing serious " to which he replied
you would tell us all when you came back on here
At no time did I say "well WHY had you gone into hospital" Rolling Eyes

New topic

Just made a Lasagna was going to freeze it for later in the week
but it tastes so good I thought I would serve it tonight, whats
left I can freeze for later ...
I called and cancelled the furnace cleaning for today as at 20 mins to 12
I had heard NOTHING ,and so even if he had turned up at noon he would have
been here until well after 1pm
I told them I cannot afford to sit around for 1/2 a day and that Gil would not
be able to let him in if I went out ,so they have now given me next Thursday
with a smaller "window" of 8am to 10am ,had I known they would not be
coming till the end of this so called "window" today I could have been and come back
and done what I had to do .....

Anyway being as dinner is ready I have a few hours to waste ....did a washingbasket
of colored clothes while waiting on his arrival Vicky

Spencer has to work tomorrow ,as the new guy has to do something this weekend
right now he works 8 to 5pm during the week with Spencer and Saturday from
8 to 1pm for emissions and he works Sundays pumping gas 1/2 a day .seems he needs the $$$ Spencer said while he was gone he screwed up with the crappc billing
oil changes which is all he can do basically besides emissions ,but really not his fault
as his boss only gave him a fast training ,Spencer said his boss should have
kept Louie on till AFTER he came back

Carmen must be pulling her hair out as no one can get hold of family
due to no power still unless you have something that is run with
propane as another friend of my sons just managed to get in touch
with her mother who has one of these ,she told Jolander so MUCH
destruction the wooden houses destroyed animals ,horses cows etc picked
up and thrown around ,sounds AWFUL
I wonder how the man I lived with when I was divorced and whom
went back to Puerto Rico fared as he lives in a very rural area called
Oricovis that is right in the middle where the Hurricane went through
Hot outside 79f right now at 2pm
OK I shall return run run

Matthew is doing his GCSE Maths exam a year earlier.       he's really good at science also and he's just done a class exam and come top with top marks..... confused2 don't know where that comes from. affraid  science.         Laura turned up first, I said "Have you left your brother somewhere?" and she said "Oh he's walking down with Sophy"  "Oh yes and is this his new girlfriend?" I asked  "Well he SAYS he doesn't like her but I think he does"   she replied.     talktohand  I didn't mention it when he did arrive.

WINTER Carole affraid  Fingers in ears  "La laa laa"      oh having my fingers in my ears doesn't help I've read it.

Susan bought her Dad a CD with lots of 60's 70's records on which we hadn't got ......brilliant music as you say Bond, we have got lots of 45's though.    WHAT about Rick Astley Bond    *Puts hands on hips*      THOUGH there's also later music of Take That. West Life, STEPS oh you can't have dancing without Steps,  Hot Chocolate,  Phil Collins .....you've got me thinking of music now Bond.....oh yes I so agree Roy Orbison   :driver:    "Drove all night......."           Cold milk to heat up  remember

On Wednesday Carole you put after I'd posted  Quote "THANK GOD  I was starting to worry only a bit Vicky ,knew it was no use my getting all upset as you did not want people last time
knowing you were shhh {you know where}" unquote.....and I posted

Quote    "Yes Carole I sat in that prison waiting for someone to send me a  with a chain saw, never mind a file, in it but confused2  but not a crumb  crying  so I kept my fork and started digging" Unquote

And that bit which you quoted  "BTW David told you I'd let everyone know  IF I WANTED TO just what's been going on.  Because Carole it would just be reported back on here for anyone to read......as it was......and maybe I wouldn't want people to know I was in hospital, or the reason. ....I could have thought it was private "  unquote   was because you asked him "Why I'd gone into hospital"   and he wouldn't say (he did say you were a bit   "Well WHY did she go into hospital?") because maybe I didn't want anyone else apart from our little band to read it.   Simple Carole.    Oh and I did say in my first post I think it was that I'd tried to get in while in hospital but couldn't.
obviously you didn't read it.  I'll have to look it up.

So after your "Shhhh" posting on Wednesday which I replied to yesterday last night I suddenly thought "Well she was told by David I was in hospital"    confused2  so hence my posting this morning Carole.   confused2

I need to do some hand washing.  run run run

Oh tuesday 5th Sept.  Quote  " did try to get on here but no joy confused2 " unquote.

Anyway maybe I should have just let it go......sigh!!!

Morning Vicky ....glad your feeling better then
but where DID THAT come from {about David telling
me you were in hospital } I have not said any thing since,
only that I know you said THIS  before ...

So you rang up the hospital again Carole.....well they aren't supposed to tell a friend what's going on OR when they've been released you know.....they're only supposed to give info to next of kin, which is David.   I'm not very happy about it.....BTW David told you I'd let everyone know  IF I WANTED TO just what's been going on.  Because Carole it would just be reported back on here for anyone to read......as it was......and maybe I wouldn't want people to know I was in hospital, or the reason. ....I could have thought it was private.   littleBlond it's just not us who read the site you know.

Did not know you had tried to post from the hospital either confused2

Well I am washing a load of washingbasket  before the Plumber comes
as I got a call the beginning of the week saying they would be coming
to clean the Furnace before winter today {wonder what happened to the Landlady
she must be SICK ordering this with out us having to ask or have a problem
which in the long run costs HER MORE $$$$ }

Sunny here and the temps climbing even though the wind is blowing

Good morning guys.

Yes Margaret you enjoy yourself....visit friends, go places, enjoy life knowing Peter will be looking down nodding and Smile

Bright morning here too Bond.    I see no cornflakes & hot milk on the menu Bond. Shocked

Yes since I stopped the high doseage of the BP tablets (the ones MY doctor told me to stop and the hospital consultant said "What's he playing at?" and I carried on with them) I've slept through the night and no being sick etc.....so it just goes to show  confused2

BTW Carole if I hadn't wanted you and everyone to know I was in hospital why would David tell you I was in hospital AND I'd tried to get on here while I was in hospital using David's iPad but couldn't.....because it turned out I'd got my password wrong , but anyway confused2 ......the kids wouldn't say because THEY thought it wasn't up to THEM to broadcast it.

Well think I'll go and see if Shirley & Irene are still in hospital......if not I'll do about turn and we'll go somewhere......can't go far the kids are here after school.      Oh we've ordered a school photo of Matthew, Matthew took it into his own hands and showed us (and his Dad) the photo we can order, in different sizes, THE WITCH never orders a photo and never offers to get either ROB or us a photo of either Matthew or Laura so THIS TIME Matthew took it into his own hands.

Way to go Marge spread your wings and fly>>>
You will have to take some  of your kitchen
once everything's in place  you know
I LOVE to look
Sounds like a plan with Big Red ,if the guy says he will look
at the jag  he will be pleasantly surprised then as well

Yes saw Jim had posted about Melanie last night ,said "so close,"
I guess for getting out but that she would be going home today
I think that was a good idea on the hospitals part ....
Also saw the snow in certain parts  of the ,that had
in the last few months had bad fires were now covered with
SNOW ,some saying it was too early ,but others saying they
welcomed the change .
So Bond where you off to today ,Leading Players again ?

Last night I had the best sleep that I have had in WEEKS
slept uninterrupted from 10pm to 2am ,Buddy then did not wake
us up until 4am and was not doing his running marathon like
he normally does when wanting to get us up
I woke once and felt him tucked into the back of my leg,had I not tried
to move him so I could get further on the bed he would probably
have stayed there Shocked

Alright HAPPY first day of FALL the Equinox is at 402pm today
Hope Vicky you had a good night hows the meds doing now ?

MORNING MARGE enjoy your day with Ian ,time once more is flying by

Change in plans for Melanie, they are going to keep her in another day
so they can take out the staples. She will be home tomorrow.
She posted me that the upper levels of the Sonora Pass are now closed
for the winter as they have had snow at the upper elevations.
Tioga Pass(in Yosemite) cannot be far behind.

Managed to salvage something of the day today, Ian and I went out for
breakfast at Denny's and bought a dual kitchen container from Bed, Bath
and Beyond which holds two bins, one for recycles and the other one for
regular rubbish in a nice stainless steel container.
This does away with the old rubbish bin and the plastic bag I was using to
carry recycles out to the big bin outside.
I am also thinking of buying a toaster oven for the counter top as it is wasting
gas to heat a whole oven for one item like a frozen entrée. New ones come
with convection cooking.

Ian cannot handle the big V8 as he is too young to have ever worked on one.
We decided that we will take it back to the man who installed the engine and have
him look at it. he builds Hot Rods and repairs Muscle Cars. I have to phone him first
to see if he will do it. If not, I will find another specialty place.
The last time he saw the car it was in rough shape from Peters neglect. but it looks
like a different car now. I have traced a source for replacement weather stripping kit
for Big Red so going to buy while its still available.

Hillside have been great at fixing everything else but this size engine needs a special
touch to tune it the way it should be. Its not a job for an novice.

Got my meeting tonight and the dishwasher repairman should be here nice and early tomorrow.
If he is done quickly enough, Ian and I have comp Tickets for the Aquarium of the Pacific
in Long Beach so may go there after its done.

It would have been Peters 77th birthday today had he lived. I know that he would have
wanted me to not sit and mope but to remember him with lots of love and the
happy memories we shared. This does not mean I live in the past but am discovering
a whole new me!

MALTED milk bikkies yes please
Saw about Melanie Marge hope all goes well
Sorry to hear about the car ,is Ian mechanically inclined then ?
Spencer was kept busy today so that was good except he is it
as the new guy only does oil changes and emissions ,
We are going to be close to 90f these first few days of fall ,crazy so glad we have not taken the A/C's
out the bedroom windows yet
Gil ate well tonight one small jacket potato a spoonful of baked beans some of the zucchini dish i make
and a small pork loin chop cut up small ,and no accidents ,even gave me a compliment saying how tasty
it was
Anyway sleep tight speak tomorrow night

All the best to Melanie Margaret. Oh tell Ian I loved the radio play he was in and adored "Driving Miss Daisy" almost waited for him to sign my Programme at the end "Stage Door Granny Groupie" but was too shy in the end....would have said "I'm Vicky from the website your Mum goes on AND we've all met up when your Mum & Dad came over here" though it would have turned into "Er could you sign this please" though it didn't even get to that funnytvprog anyway he was good tell him really really good.

Hot chocolate please Bond.

Had a very productive day yesterday and this mornings agenda just turned to
doo-doo!
Made an appointment to take Big Red in for a detail and it is running really rough
so canceled that, Sent Ian a message at Brian's NOT to meet me at car wash.
There is a little job we are having done for the car that I am not allowed to talk about
yet. so Mums the word.
We have already had a few brief light showers this morning but nothing that stayed on
the ground.
I always use filtered water in my electric kettle as we have very hard water where we live.
The same with the coffee maker. the calcium is quick to build up.

New dishwasher has problems so repair man coming tomorrow to sort it out.
We think it is the electric control panel not anything else.
Spent an hour last night emptying it and washing stuff by hand and putting it all away.
Its always something.:-(
The hospital is sending Melanie home today, its going to be a rough ride for at least 2-3
hours. I will give her a few days to recover unless she FB messages me.:-D
I think she is putting on a brave face but she is very weak.
I just pray the are no complications from here on out.
Must go, Ian has just arrived and it tinkering with BR engine. TTFN

Well the nurse was here at 11am I arrived at 1115am
Gil had asked to do some exercises and that was what
they were doing when I got upstairs ,but she said he
was complaining about it hurting when he breathed in
so was wondering if he had maybe cracked or broken a rib
when he fell
She called the Dr's office and they are ordering an exray
the thing that bothers Amanda the nurse is with him being
so inactive it could develop into Pneumonia, anyway the Dr's Liaison
Jackie said to give Gil Tylenol three times a day for five days
and Amanda agreed when I asked if maybe an ice pack might
help ,so I have him laying on a pack in his chair
Amanda said he does not want her to sign him off it seems

When she said they might take him to the hospital to do tests he had a FIT
saying he would NOT GO headbanger
I think he is afraid they will make him go back into rehab
but Amanda said she doubted they would as besides his normal
"balance" with this Coritcobasil he is as good as he will ever be

Anyway I will let you know what happens
Back later run

Nose to the grindstone is right!
Ultrasound early yesterday, grocery shopping (and it was a load!)
and an electrician arriving to fix the hall light which Ian tried to fix
the last time he was here and gave up and left a table lamp in the hall
plugged into an extension cord from another room.
Its now fixed so one less worry.
Still waiting for the lady and her son to come and look at the bicycle and
decide if he wants it. Its a Schwinn so not any old off brand.
She popped by to take some photos of it but it was still hanging up so
she took some photos to show her son. Ian has it down now so the son
can try it for size. Ian stood astride it and it is too big for him at 6'1"!

Monday I took Black Beauty into the car wash and had it completely
detailed. It needed something to get all the tree sap off the car anyway
and that would have cost $85 alone.
I still have to take Big Red in for the same treatment.
I don't do it every year but once in a while is good protection for the
finish. BB looks like a new car.
In one way the sap is a good thing as it tells me the tree has recovered
from the "haircut" it got last winter.
Tomorrow would have been Peters birthday and because of Glens wife we have
two free passes for the Aquarium of the Pacific tomorrow. Its somewhere we
both liked to go.
Still deciding about the rollaway blind and will call for an estimate.
then I want the floor to ceiling windows replaced in the den as they are not
insulated at all, they have been there since they were installed in 1973!
Its just aluminum and glass so it gets very hot in there in mid summer
and has no shade at all. We tried having a darkening film put on them but
after all these years it is not working anymore.

The sliding French door in Peters office lets rain fill the track inside the window
even when its closed which has ruined the original hardwood floor in there.
It is a huge expense I know but if I were to sell the house I would get my
money back from doing it.
The other windows have all been replaced and its a newish roof with new guttering
so I am just continuing where Peter left off.
Then I can concentrate on clearing some more "stuff" from the inside of the house.
Main bathroom looks shipshape and Bristol fashion at last.
Melanie is making progress but they will not let her go home until her whole
system is working properly. Jim finally went home for fresh clothes and to see
how the "fuzzy faces " are doing with their minder.
They had a little problem with their credit cards so bank had to cancel them and
send new ones so guess he will be picking them up while he is at home.
A small charge was made on one that no one knows who it was but may have been
some one testing so see if it got caught.
I had that happen several years ago and it was a teenager working in a small shop.
I happened to remember all the places I used the card that day.
Ian is here with breakfast again so going to eat it while its hot.TTFN
