On dear what's wrong Vicky hope your
not getting sick again ..
So Bev still has her money cache then (Evette)
funnytvprog

Nurse came and Gils vitals were unbelievable
BP 126\61 oxygen was 91
She's ordering some special powder for his  butt as she
says she thinks it's all moisture that is causing it when he sweats
and applying the cream is just keeping it wet

Made dinner and now he is napping

Spencer came home and did his washing ,says he ripped all the carpets
padding and that wood stripping that you nail the carpet into ,up
Carmen's landlord has told him to go get what he will need for supplies
to fix the apartment and has had the electric turned on so
he can do it at night as right now he can only work during the day
light hours

Marge seen the set weather your side just above you though
It seems
Hope you have a good night tonight
Be back later

Wow Bond that's really bad......they took my reuralgia tablets off me confused2 not at first, though I'd told the Consultant what I'd got it wasn't until this Sister saw me taking my tables "WHAT'S THAT YOU'VE JUST TAKEN?" she yelled at me, so I told her and she said I was suppose to have handed them over.....from then on it was a nightmare SOMETIMES I got the tablets I'd brought into the hospital sometimes they give me their own. Sigh!!! and I had to ask for them. Mad

Oh was fine.

Back later......off to the hospital.

Bond so you DID cut the grass even though it was wet and set
off the neighborhood I see ,AND brought on the nono

Last "dry" day here then a couple of wet ones but they are now saying
Easter Sunday should be DRY at least for those Easter outfits ....

Well I have been up really since 4am as Gil started MOANING about
his arm that does not work saying it was aching ,so got up and got
a couple of pills first but he did not shut up so after he rolled over
MY side almost pushing me out of bed I GOT UP at 430am headbanger

Spencer stayed home and sounds like he has moved his place AROUND AGAIN
when he cleans he REALLY CLEANS

Chilly start here but should warm up later
So all that is left to say is
GOOD MORNING EVERYONE run run run run run

That was what I was thinking too Marge
but if that is the case ,its THEIR fault as
I got the frames from them and they as I
said FIT the lens right THERE in the store
only sending away for the lens to a lab they
must use to fill prescriptions...Yes I get a free
eye  exam also every two years ,bit over do
what will all that has been going on of late ,my
appointments seem to have been shoved on the back
burner ,but now I have Barb I must make an appointment
to get my eyes tested ,but NOT here OR at the place
I had them before when Gil and I went together as
I STILL say he screwed it up ,as NEVER before when I
went to the Dr at Lenscrafters did it take WEEKS for
my eyes to adjust to a new pair of glasses and no my
script was not much different ,I had told him I did
more  work and found it a bit harder to focus
with my old glasses ,so now I can see good when sitting at my
desk but when it comes time to read anything like my
I cannot see unless I look down into the lower part ,it seems
they reversed how it USED to be

Glad your all sorted with both BR and BB now then ,so whats
NEXT on the bucket list funnytvprog

Ahhh Vicky was wondering if you put Ketchup on the chips
someone on FB the other day said they put SALAD CREAM
ON THEIRS Shocked Mad Mad Mad

Cool Roller Bond  nice that he "toot tooted" to your "PAP PAP"
or was that a "beep beep"
My Ex had one that played ♪ ♪ on one of his Antique cars coming
from Texas it was to be expected

Well Spencer came home and just hoover his room ,good job
too as its been WEEKS and this place LOVES to collect dust
Possible he might be staying home tonight cheers
Made some steaks in the Air Fryer came out nice
So if I do not get back in I shall speak tomorrow

L & L please though Bond

Carole it might be that the frame is too tight or
slightly out of alignment for the lens.
but it is regular here to have your eye eye
tested every two years and have new lenses
if they are needed. (at least how my policy
is written).
I don't get much of a discount from my insurance,
I get a better one if I am a member
of AARP or AAA at Lens Crafters
I have had the current ones I have for about four
years as my eye sight has not changed neither
has my prescription in that time.

Phoned the Dentists office and got Sheila to get me
in on Thursday at12:30pm.
Took Big Red in and it took two mechanics two minutes
to fix the hatch lock, I was using the wrong key!
The drivers side door lock was replaced but its still the old
one on the passenger side and that's the one I should
have been using for the hatch!
I did put bits of duct tape on the keys ,to tell the difference
but I mixed up which was for which door!
Took BR for a tour around the main drags here and he is
running great.
Now its tackling the DMV let me get it right
this time.

That is AWFUL Bond ....

Do you think it was wise for
to come around the day before you get
fitted for your  BP bracelet Vicky
We need to keep you C A L M ......

Good job I do not wear one as right now MINE would
be SKY HIGH as Gil once again telling Barb and I to SHUT UP
if we were talking LOUD I could understand but we were not
and he was busy scratching his lotto cards any way headbanger

Also had a call from were I got my glasses as after I showed
the girl on Saturday where the left lens is AGAIN cracking
{looks like a scratch right at the top and its driving me NUTS
as I can see it }  she said let me speak to my manager and
call the lab where they get the lens made ,anyway she said
they would replace them again {yes this happened LAST YEAR
same lens around the SAME TIME} for no charge but this would be it
and if it happens again I would need an eye test and a new frame
what THAT has to with any thing I do not know confused2  so takes
about 7 days to get the lens then I have to drop off my frame as
they fit them in the shop
She said she told her manager there was no sign of misuse or
damage as I said I have neither dropped stepped or lain on them
as at night they go into a eye glass case and I wear my old ones
for watching TV in case I fall to Sleep  and lay on them

I KNEW I should have gone back to Lenscrafters where I normally go

Nice day outside sunny now and if the WIND would drop it would
REALLY feel good

Anyway be back again later
talk among yourselves chattable

That's down right scary.

Just popped in the assure you
I am OK but going to be very busy
this morning.
I have to have BR in at 9:30am
and need to hit the DMV site again.
That may take some time as I find it
very confusing. The electronic phone
stations are just as mind boggling as
I find if I have to speak into the machine
on the phone it does not always
understand my accent!
! also need to call my dentists office
and explain why I missed my appointment
on Friday! TT until later.

Cool this morning 30f in Bridgeport colder inland
but going up to around 50f by 3pm ...looking like we
shall have some Wednesday and the weekend
so THAT will wake our grass and plants up from their
winter slumber Sleep Sleep Sleep

OK better get on no mishaps during the night except I woke
at 1am and thought the clock said 4am ,and did a bit
of tossing and turning during the night ,strange dreams confused2

I shall therefore say to ONE AND ALL
GOOD MORNING

Hey just thought you know who has not peeked in in a while

tired tired
Good morning from the left coast of USA.
Had a disturbed night with the old ladies
condition , streams in the night.

Must have drunk more liquid yesterday as
its gradually getting warmer here.
Its a bright sunny day here and in the mid
50s at the moment.
My Lantana is blooming so may see some butterflies
or even humming birds soon.

I like to watch the bees. not too many of them lately,
used to get the big Bumble bees when I had lavender
growing in my garden. It finally gave up the ghost
and I never had time to replant some more.
One thing I hate is Indian Hawthorne as I seem to
be allergic to its scent and its planted all over the
place in Torrance. Its a good hardy long blooming
plant in any landscape so the city has used lots of it.

Think I will give Big Red's engine a turn over so I
can be ready for tomorrow morning, I have to tie
the hatch down so got to figure that out too.
I only have to get it across one major intersection and
its all back streets from there.
Don't worry I am used to driving Big Red with problems.
last time it was a frozen drivers side door latch so
drove with one hand while holding the door shut!
I have driven him for 20 miles on the freeway with
no brakes! and had him run out of gas on a main road
and getting a push from a police car!
In my old car, a 1989 Pontiac Grand Am I had the rear
view mirror fall off in my lap on the same freeway.
You don't know how useful they are until they are not there!
I had that car for 23 years.
The BB is now 10 years old but I've only had her for 8 years.
She is still a baby with less than 45,000 miles on the clock.
She has served me well so far.

Time for some breakfast, a quick shower and I am away for the day.

Evening all,
I love did turn the screw down half a turn on the self sharpening setting
That makes it a bit of a clater as the blade hits the sharpening bar so it sounds like me riding a motor bike around the lawn
The kids have got their tablets and phones but we have sat and watch the Voice with Lemonade and popcorn
So remember Spring forward, Fall back

Might need the blades sharpening on the mower Bond.

All the hard surfaces have dried up here but the ground
is still sodden from the rain and will be for several days.
We will still have a chance of mudslides and trees falling
as the soil dries out. Rocks and boulders are coming loose
all the time, some as big as cars!
Pacific Coast Highway along the beach has permanent
concrete berms in place as the small cliffs on the land
side have been eroding for years, this is mainly from
Santa Monica to Malibu so north of where we are.

It is the prettiest drive but heavily used in the summer.
Parts of it in another area north of us has been closed
for a few years because of a major slide which covered
a bridge forcing a new one to be built around it.
(this one is up nearer Pebble beach and Monterey)

Well, got BR booked in for a look see on Monday and my
field vision test and evaluation of my Cataracts in May.
I got a bit frustrated with the stages you have to go through
on the computer to get the DMV appointment so messaged
Melanie to see how their area was after the rain they had
which dumped more than 15 feet of snow in the Sierras.

their house is down a little slope so it has a view of Melonie's
lake but she said they were sheltered enough to only have a
few pebbles roll down. The rest of the area around there is
full of little streams which overflowed their banks, so many
roads undermined in places even the main highway!

Then I looked at a card I had in front of me that said I had
a dental appointment yesterday morning, I totally forgot!
It is only the second time that has happened in all the years
we have been going to him. I will call on Monday and make
another appointment .

I also have to call my Doctor so I can get another refill on
2 of my meds. I have enough for another week but its that
time when they won't refill the prescription unless you see
your Dr. (my next appointment with her is not until July!)
so have to call her nurse on Monday.
I will be spending the week end doing chores which got left
while I saw to all the rest of the "stuff" around here.

It turned quite cold last night so woke up shivering and pulled
the down comforter around me about 3am. (turned the furnace
off in the morning and forgot to turn it back up to what I usually
have it at, at night !)
the cats thought I was going to feed them but I put the little
light out and they got the message.
Its supposed to warm up again this week so hopefully it will start
to feel like spring finally.
It's Hi Ho, Hi Ho and off to work I go

Hello all ,back from the Nutritionist's
who was VERY pleased with my progress
since last visiting her in January I am down
7lbs and down since the last week in October
when I first went 16.3 lbs cheers
Even got a kiss from her as I have done so well
She was impressed that my Thyroid Dr took me off
the Diabetic pills as my # was down to 6.1 so no longer
needed the Metformin pills they had me on

Left her office at 9am but Linda true to form was LATE
any way even though I said 9 to 915am at the 50's Diner
where we had scrambled egg bacon home fries and WW toast
and it was SO nice being able to TALK with out being told
"WHY DON'T YOU TWO SHUT UP"
Anyway got back home at 11am and ALL was well

Sent Barb home with a serving of my pie and some of the
Key Lime pie Brittany brought over ,now she has just gone
to catch her bus ...

Suns out here as well Marge and almost 50f ,but I see they
are watching yet ANOTHER storm sliding over from your side
lets HOPE it breaks up before it reaches the East Coast

Linda said her neighbor put it in a nut shell how Gil is
as her husband has something similar, and that he has LOST
his COMMON SENSE ....
She also said Gil is mad as he cannot get up and go when he wants
to etc all of which I know but it is REALLY hard trying to live
with that 24X7

Happy to hear your storm Marge was not as severe did you ever get BR's
hatch sorted ?

A new top @ Vicky talktohand as long as its not in MY wardrobe
as I hate being CRAMPED

Nice Avatar BTW

Linda's SIL whom she works for is taking the WHOLE family once
more away on holiday the beginning of April ,they have been
the last three years  to the Turks  Caicos    but being as
they are still recovering from the Hurricanes he is taking them
all to Aruba

Vicky what KIND of Dr is that that says 1.5 is the same as 2.5
headbanger

Anyway I shall return later

His brain is still sending him the old
messages on what to do and he does
not remember that he is not able to
do them anymore.
Peter used to fall over trying to pick
things up off the floor or trying to
turn and start walking when his body
is trying to tell him to turn and stop
and then start walking.
It looked like he was throwing himself
around with his feet stuck to the floor.

Well, looks like this storm has finally gone
through as the sun is out again this morning.
We had lots of fine rain not the 1"drops locally
and so not a lot of problems here a bout's.

Its a different story elsewhere.
the county where Melanie lives got so much
rain in a short amount of times that all the
streams burst their banks and undermined
some of the local roads including the main
108 highway. The soil is so saturated that
a couple of minor dams are in danger of
collapse. One of them next to a fishery.
Trees have fallen and brought down power
lines which maybe out for a few days.

More locally, the places that had all the
wild fires has sustained moderate damage
but no big mudslides like January.
A few smaller erosions have taken place
and roads washed out where the dry creek
beds are, which are now full of water.
There is still a possibility of further mud
slides as the ground is now fully saturated.
The ground in our area seems to still be able
to absorb the rain as the streets are drying up
quickly along with my back yard.
As the storm moved over last night, it was followed
by dense fog so the journey back from the retreat
was a bit dicey (my G6 came without fog lamps!)
but the reflective dots worked well enough for me to
stay in the lane I needed to be in. When I got to the
base of the hill, it was clear as a bell!

Still got to do a few things today before I can spend
the rest of the week end concentrating on bagging
and boxing stuff up to donate to charity.

Sometimes it takes time to really focus on what is worth
keeping and what I know I won't be using anymore.
I found another tax related item yesterday and will wait
for Brian to call me then he can decide if it is needed.
Its taking longer than I expected but I want to dig myself
out of this hole by myself before the Energiser Bunny
shows his face again!
I am sleeping better ,its midnight to 8am now.
and my tummy has finally settled down.
I think that was just stress because I was coping with
so many things at once. My brain is finally catching up!
Time for a bit of breakfast and take my pills and then
its back to the slog. TTFN

I think Bond's right about the head gear JUST in case he falls......and of course he's not thinking Carole, and you know that.

Yes Lady Godiva was Countess of Mercia, married to Leofric Earl of Mercia.....though whether she rode through the streets of Coventry naked is another story.....might or might not be true, they do say it was "Bare Backed" on the horse.....but who knows, but she did exist.

Well having a right ding dong with one of the doctors at the surgery.....need my tables which I'd got from the hospital and insttead of 1.5mg he's given me 2.5mg saying it's the same as 1.5mg Shocked so I've marched down to my chemist and asked the chemist there "No it's stronger" "Thank you" so I'm now waiting to speak to the receptionist to see what the stupid doctors said.......this doctor is such a pain, I've had ding dongs with him before, trouble is it's the poor receptionist which I'm having to ......talk about keep my blood pressure down HA!!!

Oh and no kids today confused2 ........been to M&S got a top .....no no Carole it's not hanging up in your bedroom.

Later we went to the pet shop to get Benjie some food......he's now fast asleep in his basket.

Morning Bond ....your kidding right about
Gil wearing a headband funnytvprog
Actually this is the first time he has fallen
since he was in hospital a year ago ,so has
been doing well ,its just that it seems this
illness has taken all his "common sense " away
as some of the things he does are STUPID
and anyone in their right mind would not do
Like when he is reclining in his chair how MANY times
I have said if you want to drink your put the chair
UP first ,no he continually it seems reaches for the cup
and then tries to PULL HIMSELF UP WHILE HOLDING IT
IN HIS HAND
The only way I can stop that is to remove ALL drinks from his
table until he wants one but I can hear him YELLING NOW
WHERES ME TEA headbanger

I have text Barb to make her aware of what happened
as I will be at the Nutritionists first thing then meeting
up with Linda but I will be home by 11am ,so she will be getting
him up alone today ....

Hear is a question for you ,do you believe Lady Godiva existed ?

Larry {well he goes by his other name on FB Bill} said as the
Coventry site posted a picture of her riding the horse naked
made a comment ,its a MYTH ,so I asked asked what
that she rode he replied " just that A complete MYTH" so I asked
was he saying the ride was a myth or her ,as even Marge said
Lord Leofric was a real person ,he then said Lets just agree to disagree
I'm done confused2

For a Coventry lad born n bred I think he bit off more than he could
chew as even another person has now chimed in saying how could he
say that as Lord Leofric was real and she was his wife affraid

OK so I have made a mid morning snack for Barb to give Gil
his tea and her coffee are all ready to make and his "narna" is
ready for breakfast
So I must away and finish what I must do to get ready as I have
to leave here at 815am ,Gil should be OK as I am leaving him in bed
Back later be good and DON'T ARGUE

I don't know Gil is going to give
me a HEART ATTACK before long
Went down stairs to get the mail
and feed Tabitha ,and was only down there
a minute when I heard this BIG THUD ...
he had leaned up from his chair and FELL
on the floor again BANGING his forehead headbanger
The guy with the wheel chair had also telephone
saying he was on the way ,by the time he arrived
I had SOMEHOW using the belt I bought Gil gotten
him back on the chair and put an ice pack on it

He seems OK and does not want me telephone  Hospice
but I am telling you what with falling out of bed or should
I say SLIDING out and now this headbanger

Anyway dinner went down well ,made Brussels sprouts
and corn with the pie ,actually tasted pretty good

Hi all nice ride home from Bedworth lots and lots of traffic going not so much on the way home people saying that the m6 was closed for a time and they were using Nuneaton and Bedworth as a bypass, it does make you think what will the town traffic when all the houses are built
Yes I do wonder what John Lennon would be doing now if he had lived?
I don't know if she still does but Yoko used to give Christmas presents to the children s Strawberry fields childrens home
Yes Carole they were very good today but it was a marvellous director bringing into the story all different people,

Being a Monday night in December 1980
I would have been 10 pin bowling

Such a waste of talent
Glad they have denied that lunatic the right to
get out after being sentenced to 20yrs ,may he rot there

Marge hope your storms are less than predicted as was
the last one we had here in CT

And no Vicky have not made my own pastry in years
working two jobs for a good many of them before remarrying
Gil I had no time and plus the pastry you can buy now turns
out good

Sunny here and 50f WOW now if ONLY the wind would drop
it might FEEL like it was Spring like

Waiting on them to deliver Gil's wheel chair so holding off
taking a shower and washing my hair as I just KNOW the
minute I get in the bell will ring headbanger

Be nice seeing Linda tomorrow after such a long time again

Back if I can if not before I leave for my 830am Dr's appointment
tomorrow run run run run

Good pictures of the players Bond
