First topic message reminder :

Yes that's her Carole though like you she doesn't spring to mind, just have Marilyn Monroe of pop in my mindI know she had twins Paul & Barry who took up singing but Paul I think it was gave it up and just wrote songs and his brother went solo.....but I couldn't tell you the songs of either the Mum or the twins. I do remember the boys slightly

Yes it was Lily sitting at a table opening one of her Christening presents......this one is Lily getting Christened, hope you can see her ok....and the lady Vicar, who was lovely.

Waking up to a Government SHUT DOWN AGAIN
They are still in session though and they are saying it
all depends on whether they pass this bill that will not allow
anymore shut downs for the next two years ,but if they do not
then it will start affecting different agencies resulting in cut backs
of services and laying off of people

WOW what interesting reading Marge and I feel privileged
to be able to say I KNEW the son of such a brave man as Pops
funny how they looked up to what we consider now "young men"
and called them that   ,but I guess we have to remember
how a lot of VERY young men those days went into the services
so by 28yrs of age had a LOT of experience
My dad was one who joined up early as he was only 21 when I was
born and joined up I believe at 16 in the Royal Navy

Yes Vicky your right when starting work on older homes there
always seems to be SOMETHING that pops up unexpectedly
but hopefully its nothing Keith cannot fix easily

Well today 5 yrs ago was when we were still living in Stratford
and we got over 30inches of snow ,we moved here with Spencer
then in the July ,that was AWFUL as nothing moved for almost three days
as no one could get out of our street
I remember Chelsea walked with snow up to her hips to the end of the
street and asked a couple of new neighbors to come help dig
us out as the IDIOT Portuguese neighbor who had been digging
people out three doors AWAY
with his big snow blower had just ignored our plight ,the town had dug
the main roads out but we could not GET TO THEM as they had not dug
our STREET out
God forbid if anyone had had an emergency as the ambulance would not
have been able to get down North Abram for three days when they ended
up sending a pay loader  Shocked

Nothing like THAT in the forecast ,in fact its going to be LOTS of
starting Sunday

Anyway that gives me an idea how long its been since this awful thing
Gil has first started to raise its ugly head as he was able to help me
clear the back garden that year but needed help to erect the shed

Hello well after a LATE start Keith arrived
having left the back splash panels at his MOTHERS
house with the heat turned up to get it pliable again
After he arrived he started taking out the old counter
said being as he took it out carefully he was able to use IT
to cut the new one ,that he did on my back lawn
Anyway found a couple of hiccups that need to be addressed
such as a little mold under the sink and also one cabinet and
under the sink need new floors
Spencer arrived while he was here and he told Keith that there
had been a flood under the sink some years back and that he
had replaced the floor with some sort of tiles that absorb any water
that might get under there so Kieth said that was a good idea but
he will put some 2X4 down first then some plywood that he has
after he treats the mold then relay these tiles
He said he has extra counter top {4'} and was there anywhere
I could think that I would like it ,he is already putting some down
in Spencer's bathroom as after putting the cabinet in there will be a
space on one side
Trouble is I have no where to put this even though it would have
been a great place to fold clothes on & he said he would put legs on it
but I use Spencer's pool table to fold my clothes being as the
washingmachine are down stairs

Anyway tomorrow he will be back and MAYBE even SATURDAY

No time left now to chat any more as I could not cook like I was going to
have to order Chinese delivery
Speak tomorrow ...I see your going to Leicester Bond ♪ DING DING ♪

Over here Margaret we have unmarked police cars with camera's and woe betide the driver who's driving along on their mobile, we've had lorry drivers causing pile ups because of this ALL drivers should be hands free by now or if not switch the damn mobile off until you've pulled up somewhere, they also get people with one hand on the wheel (as those smoking Margaret) once they've pulled them over they get a £100 fine and 6 points on their licence, 12 points (it's easy to get points on your licence with the speed 2 miles over a 30 mph and that camera will get you) and you then lose your licence, and of course if your working for a Company you'll most likely lose your job anyway.....in those cases GOOD.....apart from the speed camera's which are a menace, yes ok IF you're really speeding otherwise it's STUPID.

Are you on about the young couple who got out at night Bond? Well we saw them unbolt the doors into the garden. And that does happen, not that long ago at a Bupa Care Home residents could get out at night to have a smoke ....the staffs reply "Well it's not a prison" as for money I expect he got some money from his Mum (before she got murdered) to buy things (chocolate, magazines etc) confused2

Oh btw I'd said I'd finished my book....the ghosty one.....I've chosen my next book, and it's good ....well so far, my sort of book, it's called "Behind the Shattered Glass" by Tasha Alexander.

No body does murder mystery's better than the Brits!
Bet it will show up here eventually .
Just got a quick call from Ian to find out what I am up to.
He has to repeat a blood test because he was not
told to fast for the first one. Its seems his cholesterol
is higher that it should be but he had breakfast and lunch
before he went in the first time.
I did remind him that it could be higher naturally because
his dad had higher cholesterol also from stress and took
medication for it.
Mine is borderline even though I do not eat much beef
or fried food in general. However I am under a great deal
of stress so its not something my Dr.is concerned about at
this point.
Talked to the place Big Red is at and they have most of their
staff out with the Flu! The two brothers are doing the best
they can under the circumstances. It started with the
office lady and went through like a dose of salts he said.

We have not had the Flu peak here on the west coast yet but
there have been more deaths of young people and kids
this time than older people.
More people have been hospitalized with this flu, mainly
because of dehydration and pneumonia or bronchitis.

I am staying away from crowds but the Chinese Buffet
we went to last night (late change of plans) is very
particular about cleanliness. Next week it is the
Black Bear restaurant, a kind of import from Northern
California , a cross between a regular coffee shop and a
rib restaurant. I usually have either a pulled pork sandwich
or a club sandwich or salmon filet.

Still looking for a local plumber to fix the valve turnoffs
and do a few other jobs that come under plumbing.
It needs to be someone who gives senior discounts.

Its going to be hot today inland with lower humidity again.
Its due to go back to more "normal" temps tomorrow.
A high fire danger is still in place inland and north of us.

It ticks me off to see people in cars with the window open and
their hand holding a lit fag out, driving around locally.
It fits under the label of distracted driving.
Vincent just called, took a while as He wants his monthly
allowance in a lump sum now but I will run it past Ian first
before I do anything. I told him I cannot do anything until
I take care of my taxes in April. That should hold him
for a while.

Hi all, sorry Carole, I was thinking you were talking about me knowing miss Vicky going for nibbles
Yes I love the program and miss Fox looks good but there is some unanswered questions like in the last one about the care home how did they get in and out without a pass card but I he main is ginger was how did he pay for the taxi from the city back to the home and th n was it the same one or did they have to phone for another taxi (how did they pay) for the taxi to Que Gardens? Was there some money from the man that tried to roll him in the door way, too many questions!!
Just back from the kids
Tomorrow looking to go to Liester on the bus with our bus passes it may take all day but no stress :driver:

Yes sorry Carole it's a crime drama series, on the TV, set in a forensic path lab and they solve crimes.   Nikki is played by Emilia Fox, she's one of the Fox family Father is Edward Fox,(he was Jackal in The Day Of The Jackal.....he was Edward in Edward & Mrs Simpson oh he's been in so many things....talks very posh as does his brother) her Uncle is James Fox, brother is Freddie Fox.....oh she's got relatives all over the place. Oh Bond her cousin is Laurence Fox who's   DS James Hathaway in "Lewis"

Yes that's like here I can't wait for the telephone  "He's ready"   ......last time they were so quick, this time a lot longer, you just never know.  confused2    Oh we brought him home and then David took him for a walk before we went to Palmers for feeding...... talktohand I still stuffed.   Then went to Fosse Park and looked around M&S.....and bought a really lovely smart top.     and not hanging in your wardrobe Carole so don't worry.

Guess that is something between you and Vicky
as we {Marge and I ,I assume} do not know what
your referring to Bond

I would imagine Vicky would have brought Benjie home
first though ,I used to hate waiting for them to call saying
Saba was ready to be picked up so I would always go around
the time I thought he should be done ,not that I did not
TRUST them with him but it was like having a "baby" some
where and you had to get them home FAST funnytvprog
I know Saba always felt SO HAPPY after getting home ,running
around the back garden if it was a nice day searching for his
"dad" so he could show off his new bandana that he always
got ,just like he was saying "LOOK AT ME" all washed brushed
out and dried and SMELLING 'PURDY' " funnytvprog

Well waiting on Keith he just called said he went to pick up the
back splash order from Home Depot and it had been OUT in a container
so was really COLD ,so he would not be able to work with it until
it warmed up so was taking it back home to put it some where
until tomorrow ,but would be doing the counter today when he got back headbanger
I cannot WAIT until this is ALL done as its dragging ON and ON and ON
Being as its sunny ,he said he will cut it on the back deck confused2

OK made Gil and I a sarnie for lunch now as I will not be able to get
near the kitchen soon ,hope he will not be here THAT long either
as I am using my new Air Fryer to make fish n cheesychipraid
for dinner

Hi, yes but even after explaining it I still didn't know how she did it and what about leaving a fully loaded machine gun at the crime scene? And as for trying to shoot herself with a machine gun on automatic the fires hundreds of rounds a minute, it would of tak n her arm off at that close range

Blackberries ....used to pick them down the entry
way at the back of Nan's house when I was little
before they built the council houses on Shuttle St
that abutted Nan's back garden as we were the
last private house on the old Purcell Rd ,then when
Mum got a council house AT #9 Shuttle St after
having Wendy ,all I had to do was jump the back fence
and I was at my Nan's but there were still some Blackberry
hedges there ...

Also remember falling into a HUGE bush of STINGING NETTLES
affraid  BOY did THEY STING ,Nan covered me in Washing Blue
what she used to whiten her whites {wonder what was in THAT confused2 }
but it worked ,but did I LOOK FUNNY

So its the leading players today Bond ,I know you will have fun

Don't know why but Gil was in a TERRIBLE mood last night
after Barbara left ,did not even want his dinner ,which is NOT him
but I left him to it ,hope its changed this morning as Keith is SUPPOSED
to be here today Rolling Eyes

VERY ICY here any rain from last night is now a skating rink 28f proper
temp but only feels like 17f with the wind chill that I heard blowing my
wind chimes ALL night on the tree outside our bedroom window Shocked

So I will wish you a good morning
and shall return later

Lovely photo bunnikins

I bought Bev this perfume a couple of years ago for Christmas and she was asking me what the name was because she wanted to get some more     talktohand  yes yes it did go through my mind "It's on the bottle or look at the box"   and I did then say "It'll be on the box"  she had told me it was in a pink box.....she then said "Oh I'm not sure.....where did you get it from was it from from one of those onlines place?"  ONLINE PLACEs....meaning "cheapy place"  affraid  so I said "I got it from Boots and it's not cheap"  "Oh" she said, then  "I suppose I'll have to save up, and I've only got a bit left"   so I said "I'll buy it for your early, very early, birthday present"  bounce  "Ohhh please" she replied.  Shocked   Oh she's good really good.   anyway on the drive as I was getting out of her car she said "Vang is it called?"   PINK BOX...."Vera Wang" I said "Princess"  "Oh yes that's it" she said.    Sigh!!!!.

Yes I have never understood how they could get TWO flats one with TWO bedrroms.....they don't give you a flat with two bedrooms if you're just a couple.....and Bev stays where she is anyway   confused2  and as you say Bond he'll have to pay for this Care Home.....she says he's got a Private Pension but he's never worked apart from when Crofts was on and he sold t-shirts on a stall and sometimes he helped a mate print dogs on the front of t-shirts.   but how he's got a private pension  confused2

funnytvprog  you sure know how to
smooth the waters funnytvprog
Hey HOLD on talktohand  you agreed
to buy Bev EXPENSIVE PERFUME ...FOR WHAT
Good job she will be in the boot/trunk
she might talk you into buying her SOMETHING ELSE
on the way to the

Marge hope they can figure out what Big Red is needing
to pass the test ,that is what we call Emissions no?

Well Barbara arrived before the snow started and just after
I got to Frans salon as she called me at 850 to say she would
be opening up being as it was NOT SNOWING ,down came
the snow ,was quite fast and furious for a while and covered
everything quickly being as it was so cold ....
Anyway I was her one and only client today so she had me all
done and I left there by 11am by then it was starting to
change over to rain/ice so ran up to Price-Rite shopper
grabbed some bread ,chicken tenders and more pork chops
then started home
Gave Barbara a ride to her house instead of the bus stop as she
does not live far from where I get Gil's scratch off cards at the Mobile
gas station ,she was VERY happy as its freezing out there

So what are we doing tonight watching TV or what

Had thrown pork chops into my slow cooker before I left
covered with one can of cream of chicken soup and a packet
of dry Ranch dressing sprinkled over them ....they are SO tender
they are falling off the bones
Made mashed potato carrots and Sprouts with them and the gravy
the soup made I poured over them
Barbara  said she was going home to make hers as she had been sitting
SMELLING them all morning funnytvprog

I was also wondering how Bev would get Chris's pension
if he is now in a Care Home ....is he dying then being
as they are telling her to go visit confused2

Some people KNOW HOW to WORK the system Bond

I've just got David to write the name of the book down Margaret.....I'll be buying it. Thanks.

Yes it wasn't too bad, the weather, when we were going coming back it had certainly gone cold.

Well Chris is in a "Care Home" he's phoned her a number of times leaving a message to phone him back, she didn't, and a social worker also phoned her asking her to phone Chris and also go and see him, she told her she wasn't interested in him. Though she's not divorcing him because she'd not get his pension.

Ah but Bev'll be in the boot and I'll sitting on the back keeping my trusty trained on the boot.

THOUGH.....I think I've agreed to buy her some perfume.....expensive perfume. Shocked

Something must be moving in the planet alignments
as I had a good day yesterday,
I went into the eye place and after a little looking around
they found my eye form and it was completed so that's
done. I called the place Big Red is at and it seems that
even replacing the little air cleaner thingy it was still
unable to pass the smog test. They drove it over and
put it on the smog place rollers to test but the emissions
were still too high to pass the test.

They are running short handed as half the staff are out
with the Flu! Its just the two Brothers keeping the place
open and working on the cars.
One of them is going to phone me with an update today
sometime on what else they have might have found that
is causing the problem.

Talking of flu, did you know that there are three different
strains of the same flu going around?
theoretically you could get one and have it be a light
version and then get another one that is really bad
that lasts for weeks and weeks.
I don't remember when I had my last Pneumonia shot
so might need to get one.
The book I was telling you about is called Stalag Luft III ,
An official history of the "great escape" camp.
It was originally a detailed report from several POWs who
actually escaped but most were later caught.
The camp was only opened in 1942 and Pops got shot down
just after it opened which I did not know before.

Its kind of a text book on how the POWs organized themselves
to eventually become the escape committee who dreamed
of doing a mass escape instead of 2 or 3 at a time.
They knew the risk they were taking but no one thought
that Hitler would go so far as to disregard the articles
covering treatment of enemy combatants.

There were many escape attempts but the "Wooden Horse"
one really got their brains going about tunneling.
That one was done in full view of the German guards in
the exercise yard!
The camp was for officers only so lots of young intelligent minds
crammed together and nothing to do except think of escape!

I see that Poland wants to pass a law forbidding the use
of "Polish death camps". Most of them were in occupied
Poland as was Stalag Luft III.
I think its a way to cleanse all the history of the many Poles
who ran those death camps for the Nazis.

Stalag Luft III was run by German air force officers so there
was a gentlemen's agreement that the prisoners would be
treated with respect if they did not cause trouble. HA!

As the big 1,000 bomber raids started, more Americans
started coming into the camp and the Germans thought
because of the "rebels" taking America away from England
that they would hate each other on sight but it had the
opposite effect! they got along too well!
Eventually they were separated into a compound on their own,
but the damage had already been done as they joined the
tunnel teams with gusto.

I am going out with the British ladies tonight to the Sizzler
steak house. I love their salad bar so only order a small
steak and a baked potato. They do have a small dessert
stand and a soft ice cream machine but I am usually too
full at that point.

Got to track down a plumber as the city has just announced
that they have purchased a machine that will take all the
sea water that has crept into the wells that are near the coast
from the drought and refine it into regular water for the city.
Its another way to keep us supplied with water if the drought
comes back this year.
Guess our water rates will go up to pay for this so cannot
have leaks anywhere.

its sorting more statements and tax records today so I
finally know where everything is when I need it.
Still have to change a couple of subscriptions that are
still in Peters name and the rest will be in the recycle bin.

Oh Bond your so clever keeping tabs
on Vicky's in's and out's ,its meeting
up with Bev today right before she
Sunday to see her son ,and Vicky will be driving SHOT
NEXT to the :driver: ,not behind like she said lol!

Well not started snowing here YET ,but Fran called me last
night asking what I thought about today as her other client
AFTER me had cancelled ,I said I would be there ,but she said
she is not sure if SHE will be coming in confused2
So she is supposed to call me around 9am ,so looking like
I may be looking like a "skunk" for a while LONGER {my hair
gets a lighter line at the back Bond just to explain}

Also had a call from Keith who after hearing of today's weather
forecast said he will be here tomorrow ....now all I need to know
is whether Barbara makes it as it should be worse by the time
she has to go home ,so as I said I may have to give her a 4x4
at least to the bus stop

Cold as well so when the snow does start it will stick good 28f right now

So keep yourself busy I shall return to hear all the gossip
MORNING LADIES

Hello sorry the Visiting Nurse was here a while
seems they are going to start off with some therapy
and speech therapy using our regular insurance ,and the VN
will come once a week to take his vitals ,then when the therapist
sign him off as they can only do so many visits like after he was
in the homes ,then it will be back to just the VN once a week
For what ever reason Gil's BP was elevated when she took it
but it was fine Friday when the Dr's PA was here ,so will have to take
it myself tomorrow

Not sure WHY I lost my post it could have been the site
if you guys got the
"maintenance " page

Marge glad SOMEONE is sleeping well  Buddy woke
us again too early 330am first time ,then again at 430am so I just got up
so been a LONG LONG day
The book as Vicky said sounds VERY interesting indeed ,such brave men
back then

You ask what Barbara is Vicky ,she is a Care Aid ,and worked as well in a couple
of homes
Any who I now have to scoot as I am running late
Will pop in before I leave in the morning

Good evening all, late in as I went to the directors meeting for the new play ladies day
No I wasn't pushed out I could of sat and read or even watched a film on my portable DVD player, now I have that I pick up DVDs from the charity shop for a £1 each but I wanted to go into town to take some books and look for a new book for me
Now the shares are all through Nathionwide they can't say they will never go down but they are they are gilt edge so they say they say
Last time we had a report they were doing well far far better than just money in the he back but we are thinking of cashing them in as they were only going to be in for six years and this will be the eighth year
Last drinks for the night

What ever it was had all cleared up by the time I
got on here.
Must have been some sort of change in the weather
last night as I slept like a baby and only woke up
when the cats got tired of waiting for food!
I was so cozy, I could have stayed there all day.

Its partly sunny right now and 59f.Its supposed to
go up to 65f for the high today with an overnight
low of 52f.Its reading about 81% humidity as the
fog rolled in last night again.

Melanie called yesterday evening just to tell me
that the PIC line is still in place but closed off
while they see if she can manage to eat enough
calories to not lose any weight.
She weighs about 130lb at the moment.

Chewie, her puppy is not doing well with house
training at the moment, he won't go while out
on his walk on a leash but waits until he gets home.
She really needs to crate him while she is out if
only for a couple of hours. Jeffery was a quick learner.
There was a lot of cleaning up when she got home even
with pee pads.
I had sent her a FB message to thank her about the
flower Posie they sent me for my birthday and she
phoned me straight away.

I got the book that I asked Ian to buy for me about
the "Great Escape" camp.
All its POWs were listed at the camp and it seem
that Pops was a member of a coding team as well
as being a " Penguin" spreading the excavated sand
from the "Harry" tunnel .
We assume that because the barracks he was in was
H/Q for the great escape team in the other room he
must have known about it all along, also one of the
other tunnels went right by the end of that barracks
but it was used to store equipment and supplies after
seeing that "Harry" was moving forward so fast. and
came out in the tree line so gave them cover.
Little did they know it was a bit too short and that's
how they got found out.
They were hoping to get out 200 prisoners that night
but only about 75 got away and of those, 50 got shot
by Hitler's goons and only 2 got a "home Run".
They all knew what the risks were and did it anyway.
I am so glad that Pops name was not drawn for the
escape itself.
The book contains the story of the escape by several
of the men who took part in it as well as listing all the
different committees in charge of getting everything ready
with all their names and ranks.
It fills in a lot more detail than Pops wrote in his POW
diary.
My day is all set for me so need to get going.
I have not even had a cup of tea yet! TTFN

So what shares have you got then Bond?    Sounds interesting.   and fancy Mrs Bond turfing you out, could they have  chattable  in the kitchen. I do  "Sit around my kitchen table"    or David goes into the study if I want to sit in the lounge......though couldn't you go and read etc in the bedroom?     I don't know THE WITCH used to do that with Rob., send him out of the house when she had mates round and he used to come here   AND then Mrs B's mate didn't turn up.   I need to pay some visits.....a woman who lives around the corner to me "SAYS" we went to school together.....now I do know her name but I didn't go to the school she says she went to.....anyway she told David to tell me to come round, I did say I would on my Christmas card.   The days are passing.   confused2  and then there's Joan, we used to take her two boys and my two to school together, we always send each other Christmas cards.....she's got a Yorkie as well and David often bumps into her anyway this Christmas she rang the bell and gave me the Christmas card and said "Pop in and see me....now don't forget"   so I'll have to pop in and see her one day as well.

Yes I saw that message as well Bond......was that why you lost your post Carole?

So what is Barbara then Carole?      Though she's becoming a good friend.

please Bond, just butter and a

I was talking to Choccy P yesterday Carole what are you on about?.....   chatting to Choccy P  in the other room earlier ,not here yet though?   confused2

I have to take lansaprazole  for it Carole......as I said I call them my "killer" tablets. No nothing to worry about loads of people have it.     I used to take a heart burn tablet if it flared up in the night but it did more harm than good.   When I had the camera down the lovely endoscopist told me they'd found this but not to worry about it, this was why I got really bad heartburn and when I saw the Consultant he'd sort it out......a couple of weeks later I saw him and he explained everything to me, told me not to worry lots of people had it and put me on these tablets.....which I've been on a year.   I spoke to Susan and she said "Oh lots of people have that....nothing to worry about"  which I wasn't......I'm not the worrying sort.

Sorry to hear about Gil though, he's bound to feel "What's the point" at times, he can't do things he used to do and it must get him down.

Glad Tracie is ok,

Oh well.....back later.    The book I'm reading "still"  is strange but I want to know what happens.  I know I'll finish and think  confused2  "Why did I bother?"

Morning Bond ,I see Vicky was chatting to Choccy
in the other room earlier ,not here yet though

I knew they had found SOMETHING back in 2011
but never knew WHAT so was a bit surprised when Dr Landau
told me the info ,not worried about it though being as he
said if the reflux meds had been working fine since then
that this latest episode was just one of those things and unless
it starts to happen again I should not worry
I was on Nexium but my Insurance would not pay after a couple of
years for a "Brand" name so I have now Omeprazole 40mg ,which
he said although not the "generic" for Nexium it was almost as good
Nexium now I see over here is available over the counter ...

I am not on any specific medication to cure it Vicky unless
the reflux meds help it ,but I did see an ad while waiting for
a pill for that ....and NO up and down for me anymore funnytvprog

Gil was REALLY in a weird mood last night told me again in bed
he wished he could die Shocked ,he was acting like he was on drugs
earlier really "sluggish" like responding to comments you asked him confused2
Hope he is not like THAT today

Weather tomorrow is going to be touch and go looking like I will be driving
Barbara back to the bus stop after I get home from Fran's as the snow
should be all over the State by then {11am' ish}
Today maybe a snow flurry and temps around middle 30's

Text my daughter last night with my Dr's report and told her about
her Dad ,asked if she was OK as have not heard much from her
she said its been a busy time with school work ...

Anyway hope everyone is OK and had a good night ...Bond watch
those DRACULA'S

MORNING LADIES

I'm on tablets for it.....will have the camera again in around 2 years to see if the tablets have helped/cured what ever. I call them my "killer tablets" I don't eat after 9:30.find that helps. You'll be fine Carole. Glad you had someone to talk to though, that's what you needed.

Hello I am here ....LOVELY Dr would
recommend him to anyone sat and spoke
about a lot of things including Gil ...
I told him I felt guilty being there as all
the things I was feeling have gone now,but
said that my daughter had told me I had BETTER
still see him
I have it seems a Hiatal Hernia ,where the stomach
pushes up through the opening where the esophagus
passes into the stomach ,he felt it when pushing on my chest
when I was lying down and asked if I felt it ,which at that time
I did ,just felt a bit sore
Anyway he said he thinks the meds for reflux I am on are OK
to continue unless I have more problems like the other week
also gave me a list of foods which could set my IBS off and
said to try and eat smaller meals during the day instead of
one big one like we normally have which seem to go south
very fast...
The upset I had he said could have been something in the veggie
subway that maybe irritated the esophagus making me feel the way I did
like something had not gone all the way down and causing me to get
the "burps" after eating anything ,but as I said that's all gone now

Wants me to follow up with him in a year and when I asked about
both my Dad and 1/2 sister having Pancreatic cancer on their death
certificates and should I be concerned ,he said they were doing a study
if I were interested in joining at Yale Hospital ,but after explaining about
Gil he said he completely understood
I also asked about Gil not knowing what could take him he said
it could be a fall that he does not recover from ,or choking or
not being able to swallow food {which he is getting worse at}
and they would have to decide whether to put a feeding tube
in and I said Gil does not want to be kept alive like that and has
a DNR bracelet he has to wear if we go to the hospital so they know
not to try to bring him back ,so he said in that case they would put
him into a Hospice to be made comfortable
He said he understood Gil's reluctance to live on like that as he
feels the same being very independent like Gil used to be
So as I said a REALLY nice understanding Dr

Glad you made it in Marge
So Vicky how was was it a "check in" visit or were
you planning your next movie visit confused2 duck

HI Bond keep the L & L coming please

OH my Gil is CHANNEL SURFING AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Not a good time for small business here.
seems everyone in getting an increase in ground
rent or lease and its beyond their income.
Its all about the $$$$$$.
About 1/3 of our small businesses have gone locally.
There seem to be more massage places or holistic
medicine places that last a couple of years and are
then gone.
There are a few that have been around since we moved
here and those are still very popular.
We do have some of the big chain stores closing the doors
on their least money making places.
Our malls seem to be able to find new clients but a great deal
of revamping is going on.
Even the Queen Mary tossed out all its shop lease holders
and is doing a make over.
Now that they have a commitment to hold a future Olympics here
it means they are putting on a good face for the tourists.
The last one was so successful that everyone wants to top
it.
It went cooler last night and the Fog has rolled in again but
it is bright and is going to be sunny today with a high of 68f.
Sorry the Pats didn't win Carole but I think they just didn't
have it this time. It was a good game though which some
of them are not .Lots of riots in Philly last night and they
were celebrating!
I must check on my eye chart and Big Red today as its been a week
since I dropped them both off.
I only have a couple of weeks before the registration renewal must
be in or I will be penalized with a late payment.
Then its back to the DMV and try to get an appointment for the
driving test. This could go on until April or May!
I fear that I will end up with another 60 day extension and then
only given another 2 year license. Its NOT MY FAULT!!!
I resent being penalized for their mess up!

I feel that they are trying to get as many older drivers off the road
as they can. One of the husbands who comes to our British ladies
dinners passed his driving test before Xmas and he is in his mid 80s.
So is June, my friend and neighbor down the street ,she had
Cataract surgery a few years ago and she passed also.

The eye Dr. says the one in my weaker eye is getting gradually
worse but they won't operate on that eye, only my good one.
It won't be cheap as to get other than a plain lens is not covered
by my health care plan and I want what Peter had, a lens for driving.
Which could cost $5,000!
If I could get it done over the summer, Lorna would be able to
pitch in if needed. I need to get my ducks in a row before I dive
into this further.
Got 12 RoBo calls from an scammer popping up as Apple yesterday
but didn't answer any of them. Hope no one else did either.

Must away with the Fairies as they are making Valentine cards to send to
the Gnome of their choice. TTFN

For little gain, or a restaurant but agIn very expensive, I think the only thing is as it was a clothing store

Hi, yes a very nice taste in lipstick you look very cuddly
I was telling my mate about jobs with the balloonist I know who is always looking for a helping hand, he said he would of jumped at the travelling if he was younger and single
So only to Dobbies then I hear the have closed down the stand alone clothes shop that will be a big area to fill, I think most if not all the shopping areas are contractors on lease
Still do fantastic cream cakes
Mrsb dosnt want any chocolate so if I'm down to one a day they should last me a bit
Tea then and large L&L plus the coffee pots on

It is cold out there.......all your gadding about Bond and we've only been to Dobbles.  Just had nibbles.

Well done with winning the chocs......watch out Carole's fond of Thorntons chocs.   I never liked that Album Bond.     affraid  Bond is that lipstick you've got on?    He must have a little black book.

Good luck Carole.

Avatar is Rob aged 9 with one of his football trophies.....I put it on because I was talking to Choccy Penguin about when Rob's team he played for used to always beat Forest Green and when I hear that name I always think of Rob, Forest Green beat Coventry City FC last Saturday. Boo!!!
