First topic message reminder :

Yes that's her Carole though like you she doesn't spring to mind, just have Marilyn Monroe of pop in my mindI know she had twins Paul & Barry who took up singing but Paul I think it was gave it up and just wrote songs and his brother went solo.....but I couldn't tell you the songs of either the Mum or the twins. I do remember the boys slightly

Yes it was Lily sitting at a table opening one of her Christening presents......this one is Lily getting Christened, hope you can see her ok....and the lady Vicar, who was lovely.

Hi Vicky, how did they do that tipping her out if the wheelchair? She looks like a breath of wind could break bones, so was it a model or some special affects? Or a rubber flooring may be??

Went to do the food  shopper so everything is stocked up now.    fridgefood

Been to big Palmers after Benjie went for his   ....I just had a portion of chips and of course a custard slice....and a ....bought a couple of birthday cards and then we went off to Fosse Park and M&S  I got myself a summer top, and a emerald green v-neck sweater and some leggings.

Oh yes Bond last nights "Silent Witness"  I was "What are doing Clarissa?"   that could of ended up so badly.  Mad  it was good though.

Hope everyone else is fine......Oh finished my book, oh I cried towards the end.....sobbed in fact,  and I was telling David whilst we in Palmers and I started to cry again.    then Susan telephone  phoned from her mobile and I was saying how daft I'd been, she said "Oh well keep it I'll read it"  I replied "Oh ok" confused2  trouble is I'd just handed it and 4 others in for the Charity shelf ....so I looked on the shelves to see if it was there yet....but they hadn't put it out yet so when we were buying the cards David said "Oh we've handed a book in for the Charity and we need it back"  I went to give her the the 50pence for it but she wouldn't have it "No, after all the books you've given us, I'm not taking the money for it"   so I've got it back.

Ok back later.....  Oh chosen my next book "In A Cottage In A Wood" by Cass Green

Morning Bond ,cold here today
20f proper temp only feeling like 13f
whats coming the end of the week is
not good though , & a very active weather pattern
every other day for next week  either  or snowy
same for Sunday into Monday Rolling Eyes Isn't it SPRING YET

Not feeling quite so achy today only woke twice during the night
but do not feel 100% yet

Saw the wife of one of my Electricians at US Baird has posted
that he passed away yesterday ,not quite SURE WHEN yet
as she is a bit "weird" the way she posts on FB you would SWEAR
she was either on drugs or illiterate....just does not make sense at times  Mad
I was told of her posting by one of the  assembly shop foremen,Andy Kaminski
text me saying he THOUGHT Sandy had passed away but was NOT SURE
with what Sandy's wife had posted  confused2
I think Sandy was a little younger than me ,but last she spoke to
me a few weeks ago ,she said he was not doing well and had catheters
in BOTH kidneys as he could not pass urine  Shocked

OK so going to be a busy and HOPEFULLY uneventful day
Back later I shall be  run
MORNING LADIES

Hello Birthday girl ,hope Melanie sent
you something nice as well ....did you
set up the lights yet ?

Well Keith just left after doing the two remaining
outlets on my counter that are now up to "code"
as they needed to be a special kind that if water
got around they would knock off the power to them

Said tomorrow he will be cutting the countertop in the garage
as he is concerned about a corner that he has to work out
so he does not leave a 1/2" gap confused2
Then after he has fitted the counter he will finish the cleaning
on the right hand section and then stain and shellac after which
he will start the 1/2 bath down stairs......

Made chicken strips with yellow rice and peas for dinner
and now I am going to shower and wash my hair
Scampi again @ Vicky

Thanks for the birthday wishes pals.
I have already had a phone call from Ian
and will probably get one later from Melanie.
(I think its her day to go to the clinic to have
her PIC line flushed out).

Took the paperwork back to the eye clinic
and Lorna helped me to take Big Red in so I
would have a ride home yesterday.

Saw an Obit in the local paper of a friend of
Peters from our soccer days so wrote in the
guest book hosted by The Daily Breeze which
will be given to his widow at the end of the week.
Like Peter, there will be no funeral. Frank was 83
and battling Congestive Heart Failure and Lymphoma.

I think Big Red might be gone for a couple of days so
I have some time to sort and label the tax stuff for Brian
and file away all the statements. I have been invited to
go out to a birthday lunch with Lorna on Saturday.
I am waiting on the eye exam so I can go back to the DMV
and see if we can book a driving test within 60 days.

I feel like there is a bias against older drivers at our California
DMV, but I haven't had an accident since 1971 and I have had
only one traffic ticket!
There have been one or two parking accidents over that time
but nothing serious usually scratches that can be buffed out.
In all that time I have driven most of our freeways with no
problem. confused2
The clerks do not understand what Strabismous (fonetic) is
goodness sake! Or that the last time I had eye surgery was
in 1948! I had to explain it to her!
there is always Ambliopia (fonetic) try explaining that!
It is discrimination. It probably could be fixed if I had the
cataract removed in my good eye. It is worth asking about
anyway.
Don't know which way the weather is going today as the sunny
is trying to peek through cloudy sky's this morning.
I don't plan on doing anything special today as the Flu bug is still
very active here. We have had over 75 deaths in this state alone.
Lots of complications too.
Melanie just called and she says there should be a delivery for me today
so I better go and get dressed as I cannot answer the door in my nighty!

Shocked Sat Nav Bond nono .......brilliant place, great meals, snacks or a good tuck in and so much choice. and the shops.....I walk around going "Ohhhh love that.....oh now look at that" and David enjoys looking at the furniture, small tables, chest of drawers etc which I like as well. I love the French shop as well....I could walk around the shops and spend a fortune talktohand but I don't. I do find myself saying "Could buy that for her birthday/christmas?" Make sure you go to the right place....."Heart of the Country Shopping Village" Lichfield.

That's a good idea for the Leading Players.

Ta for the Bond.

Back later.

Hi, yes I think that was her Nicola, I'll have to look if it was Pain or Pagget or something else
That sounds like a good meal not just a snack
I don't think we will go there again, I made too many mistakes getting there and went by it twice so we were both when we did get there
Ive bought some paper plates to do some wax drawings on (fish, errrm other Things )
So the Leading Players can colour wash over them so the wax shows through, a bit of a fill job for weeks ahead when they have a free time
Drinks then take mrsb to the baths

Went to the Heart of The Country Shopping Village.....I had scampi. chips & peas and then caramelised apple and cream and I had a pot of tea and then they brought me hot water to  have more tea.    we went to the wood shop.....oh saw some lovely things but I then saw a lovely glass panda, it's a paper weight also, bought it for Dawns birthday.....wasn't going to buy her a present, haven't so far but I just saw it and  "Dawn"   so I did.....David's gone half though.

Are you talking about Nicola?  I remember that case, if that's the one you're talking about,  left a young child behind who she adored so they knew she hadn't just gone off not without her baby.   Yes they've been looking everywhere......following up leads.  And now they're looking around Coombe Country Park.......they've got a hell of a lot to look around.

Nearly finished my book.....I was going "No just get Ruby and get out.....don't go back up stairs"  affraid    Good book though.

Hi all, good afternoon and a very happy birthday to you Marge , yep a nice walk around Nuneaton for five hours, every charity shop and there is a lot of um,
The Works has a sale on, books a £1each, a lot of reductions
No Carole, Mary lives in Nuneaton by the old what was the Borough football ground, one of the jobs yesterday was the towel rail in the bathroom but I was able to mend the old one but said it may not last long so was on the look out for a replacement
Hello bright eyes and rose bud cheeks, did you see were they were dragging the lake and searching the undergrowth at Coombe Abbey Park for the girls body that went missing 26 years ago but no look they said they would come back and look again, I think it's all down to money
Right afternoon tea time with a Chelsea bun from Greggs

I give up regards Sleep
Brought Gil in at 10pm laid down
and I was awake again at 1130,laid down
again and was awake at 130am then had
SUCH a coughing fit at 330,got up at 450am tired

PLUS its SNOWING ,two hour school delay for
Bridgeport schools as its not so much the AMOUNT
but its very slick on the roads and pavements
And we have a full moon that could cause some coastal
flooding at high tide tonight

Guess your lucky Bond your still able to walk around
Bond does Big Tall Mary live with in walking distance
from your house then ?
What are you doing for her ?

Anyway going to get on ,not sure if Keith will be here today
or not with the snow as he has been coming around the back
bringing his equipment onto the deck and in the back door confused2

So I shall return ,not sure when Spencer will be home either
as he was SUPPOSED to come home last night as said to make
him a plate ,but telephone at 730pm saying he would not be
coming until today as he was "tired" and had to help Carmen
with her perfume supplies confused2 headbanger

Anyway MORNING LADIES I shall return run run run

SLURPPPPP   thanks Bond
Yes I do try to move Gil's hand Vicky
it looks like he is pointing with his first finger
now permanently, and when you try to lift his arm
to put underarm on it will only lift so high
As to getting Gil in early,I DO bring him in at 10pm
much to his annoyance some nights ,but I have YET
to bring Gil in go to sleep and not get awoken before
I get up headbanger
What I would REALLY love is if he came into bed when
I GO IN   at 630pm ,you have to remember by then I
have been up already 13 1/2 hrs ,I normally either watch
TV a while or go on my Tablet ,or fall to sleep for an hour
knowing I cannot be asleep at 10pm as I need to go get Gil in

Nice Avatar Vicky I see you and Lily plain and Sue and Matt
and Sasha and Jack and some other man I THOUGHT was
Steve ,cannot see anyone else they are "cut off"
Anyway tonight for your dining pleasure we have Shepherds Pie
Brussels Broccoli sweet corn and Cauliflower ...enjoy
More drinks please Bond

Could you exercise Gil's hand the days Barbara isn't there Carole?

Yes the film was good.....and she's already said to this trailer "I bet that's good"

Do you think you'll be able to get Gil to bed early so you can also get an early night?

Oh the new avatar was Lily's christening .....there's Lily, me, Susan, Matt, the woman with the pink hair is Sasha and the other guy is Matthew Claire's brother and Sasha's partner and there's also Jack in the photo.

Hello all ,well Keith just left for the day
I left when Barbara got here as Gil only wanted
a bed bath today ,so I popped to get his pills
and hit two banks, one to get Gil's Hubble pension
out $168 and the other Chase to drop off $50 as
I almost forgot my car insurance is due tomorrow
and I was a little short to cover it as they increased
the monthly payment on my GMC last month

Came home and Keith was here ,he did the electrical
outlets today moved the one that was hidden behind
the stove and placed it above the small counter space
on the left of my stove ...trouble is when he went down stairs
to turn off the outlets they were STILL LIVE ,seems they were
on another circuit so it took him a few times up and down
my stairs ended up he KNOCKED OFF THE MAIN
Now he said he did not have time to make a cut out
of the sink to cut the counter so will be doing that TOMORROW
or Wednesday headbanger

Dr's PA said if Barbara was willing for her to exercise Gil's
right hand that is going "stiff" more and more each day
to try and keep it a little supple as eventually his other limbs
will be the same Shocked
So she was more than willing to do it for him ,swept the stairs
down as well but with Keith here there is not much I can have her do

SO glad I made the Shepherds pie yesterday though as I REALLY
could use a nap keep tired tired

Marge I think I told you it said you would be around 80f this week
What kind of food are you feeding the catmilkbowl  now ?
Glad you had a good night ,just ONCE I would like to go into
bed at 10pm and SLEEP straight through till 5am when I get up

So you enjoyed the film then Vicky ...Oh boy that means
will be asking you to go AGAIN Rolling Eyes

Ruth and her husband were the BIGGEST King Tut fans
she even made Doug the King Tut mask in ceramics one year
it baffles the mind HOW they built the things they did ,something
like the Romans and the "smarts" they had to put in "central heating"
etc in their palaces ...I LOVE History
OK Bond while I curl up with Buddy on the coach  could I have a
LARGE L & L xx
Back later run

Well saw "The Darkest Hour" and it was good. Learnt things I didn't know and was surprised about.

talktohand Oh you're right Bond you'd never get them knocked down to that price.

You're right about the craftsmen in that time Margaret......we went to the Cairo museum one day, we'd taken a holiday in Cyprus, this was of course years ago, and just for a day went to Egypt.....I loved the King Tut things as you say the craftmanship.

Don't over do it Carole. nono

Ok back later......"We'll fight them on the beaches....."

Guess what, it got over 80f here yesterday and is
going to be the same today. With the lower humidity
it did not feel that hot so was nice to have the windows
open and feel a breeze.
First its breakfast and a big mug of tea to take my
pills then its off to the eye place with my form.

I bet the Dr. who filled out the form is not in today so will
have to leave it with them and get them to call me
when its ready.

Smashing program on last night about tracing the
DNA of King Tut and who his father and mother
were, also his grand parents.
It seems that all three generations married incestuously
so by the time the young king got buried with two
still born children, his line died out.
Very interesting.
Another King Tut exhibit is due this year with more
items that have never been on display before.
I was lucky enough to see the first one in London
and also the first one here in LA.
The skills and craftsmanship of that time amaze me.

It seems that finally the Great Museum is nearly finished
so they are moving all the exhibits to the new place.
It gives them time to examine and conserve them
for future generations.
One man spent 7 years just reconstructing King Tut's
footwear!
I don't think there will ever be a more thorough peek
at the worlds past history as a lot has been destroyed
by ISIS in that region. All the relics that disappeared
during the Iraq war are still missing.
In someone's collection I bet. There is a huge underground
collectors market for these items so they might never show
up again. That's my bit on the soapbox today.

I slept well last night but have a bit of a stuffy nose this
morning as the air is drying up.
I have an over the counter version of Flonase, a nasal
spray which works really well. Its a bit expensive but
it is only one puff up each nostril each day to shrink
my sinuses so I can breathe.
Cats really LOVED their wet food this morning and cleaned
their dishes so I opened another one and came on here.
Going to see how much of it they finished this time.

Had a bit of a lay in this morning after taking
care of Lorna's lot for 5 hours then coming home
and finding I had no more AA batteries for the TV
remote so had to make a run to the grocery store
at 10pm so I could watch a program I had recorded.
I lost most of the stations during the day so
Spectrum must have had an outage usually caused
by either a squirrel or car accident.
It seems that there is a conflict between the two male dogs
so they have to be separated when she is not there.
The Pom won't pee if she is in her crate so go over and let
them all out every hour and bribe them with crushed
water bikky's.(=to one per dog )they are only as big as
an old half crown.
It seems we still have a few Coyotes roaming the area
as our N/H site reported a sighting a few streets away
early yesterday morning.
Lorna has a system after dark where her dogs only have a
small area of the patio to run around in and I stay with them
while they are outside. Usually they have the run of the two
walkways on each side of the house during the day as well as
the whole patio. The cats are safe in their outdoor Catio
as the wire fencing is hard to penetrate and if needed they
have a suspended walk way that lets them into the house
through a window with a cat flap in it.
Will do some prep work to be ready for tomorrows trip
to the eye Dr. office and drop off Big Red to be worked on
I also need to go through my inbox and check if I have any
more tax statements to come. I will check what was in the
envelope from last year as nothing has changed since them
except the date.
Cats toilet is now fresh and clean from top to bottom.
Swept the kitchen floor ready to mop
and put the dishwasher on and cleaned the countertops.
Only a few things left to washingmachine so will wait
for a full load.
The temps here are going up again, its 68f already at 10:30am
rising to a high of 78f at mid day, its 34% humidity at present
and we expect an overnight low of 54f so sunny :sunny.
(this is a little unusual for this time of year even for us)

See Mr.Trump has been busy again, now he is putting a tariff on
Solar Power! This industry is just hitting its stride here and is needed
as the electric power producers are at the their peek and have to
take plants off line to do repairs during the hottest weather.

Every home along the southern states and the east and west coasts
(think Florida and California and Texas) should have Solar power
panels on their roofs. To do my house would cost about $10.000
but there are rebates and discounts to be had and the electric bills
are much lower afterwards but Mr, Trump feels we should use more
oil fueled power plants so he can get his off shore drilling platforms
going and put in more pipelines across national park land!

The Republican delegate for Florida talked him out of putting drilling
platforms off Florida's coast because of the fragile nature of its
coastal regions but he couldn't care less about our fragile coastline!
May be it was pointed out to him that from his eastern Whitehouse/
Trump Resort he would be able to see the drilling platforms!
He has two massive golf courses in this state also on the coast and
his platforms will be seen from both of them!
Its becoming Trumps Folly all over.

Hi, yes when I met him khe was wearing a thick knit bubbly jumper but his hat was one of those Scandinavian woolen hats with the bobble on top and ear flaps
He came over as a very nice man, we were there with the Atherstone youth marching band and spoke to them all, it was a photo shoot with the hall as a back drop,
I have done the grounds walk, it usually happens around May as the bluebells are out
I must of said before that a man I worked with at the college in his younger days was a maintenance man at the hall as out buildings on the estate and one of his jobs was to check the oak planking in the cellar that it was straight and not damp as they were used for making the family coffins from as long as the hall has been there

You did know that Sir William Dugdale was uncle to David Cameron Bond?    I always remember my mate Marjorie (who lived down the bottom of the road here before they went to Australia) going to Meryvale Hall to visit Sir William & his wife....who was a Lady in her own right.....Marjories's husband Ron was the right hand man to Sir William and they'd been invited to the Hall, Marjorie said in came Sir William wearing a cardigan Marjorie told me "Well if Ron had it it would have been in the bin"  he looked like the gardener.   funnytvprog  lovely man though so I was told.

Oh I've worn it once though with a white cowl necked sweater.     I nearly wore it as a brooch on the Sunday get together but I'm not sure about the pin....so I didn't.   I do love it though and to think of it's history.....who was it bought for in the Edwardian days, who had it after then?   If it could only talk.   confused2

talktohand  ah but that's it he doesn't have another meal that day....well maybe a sarnie, he classes that as his dinner Carole.      We've not been out today and for dinner I'm doing sausage, mashed potatoes and various veg. ....and gravy.

Which is now.....so later. Oh hi Carole.....yes that's what I thought about loaning Bond my pendant, you know those shows when you have guards keeping an eye on the jewels....that would be me.....4 guards to watch my pendant. Shocked

It was Marge saying about Peters music Hall lirics book, that before the play started and on the interval they played music hall songs "my old man said follow the van and don't delly dally on the way, off went  the van with his my old man in it I followed on with my old cock linnet but I dilled and dalled, dalled and dilled lost my way and don't know where to go you can't trust a special like a old time copper when you can't find your way home "
Why do I see miss Vicky when I sing that, dilly and dallying littleBlond
Last drinks before we are off to lunch
I hat looks lovely Vicky and would of fitted into the play, we need to see in on you with a strapless dress bare shoulders

We've been eating as well.....ah well David's been eating, I had a buttered scone he had 4 sausages, mashed potatoes, fried onions, carrots, cauliflower, peas, & broccoli and a buttered scone for after.   That was at the smaller Palmers Bond.         Yours sounded nice, minus the cheese, and I loved Mrs B's.   I used to have warm club sandwich at the pub with Sylvia.

That's good people telling you how great the set looks Bond.

Well they're lucky Carole,  and with so many people wanting to retire to Cornwall or Devon I can't understand the "empty homes"   but anyway why didn't they just sell the house ...ah they couldn't do that because they'd put themselves homeless and usually that means the Council's wouldn't help you then....THOUGH they could have just bought a bungalow OR bought the Council Bungalow they're now living in (or were)  if the Council need money, they'd have snatched their hands off if that was the case.       Oh well never mind.

Oh yes Margaret you're so right, waiting to be called out to your car to take your test is a nightmare. I used to wonder how many people up and  run  run  run

You've mislaid your legs Carole?    affraid  Oh no....where do you think you've put them?   Where did you see them last?   Have you seen them since your workman was in the kitchen?    You don't think he's gone off with them do you?   affraid

Yes we beat Milton Keynes Dons Carole. 1-0.....so on to the next round.   cheers ....as Margaret said used to be Wimbledon but they moved to Milton Keynes   confused2  heaven knows what the FA were thinking of....stupid, so they lost their Wimbledon fans and became Milton Keynes Dons.....mad but of course it's the same with Wasps who own  and play at Coventry City FC's  Ricoh,  Wasps who are a London, or used to be, a London club and now they're a Coventry club   confused2

GARLIC.......  NOooooo!!!!

Oh I'm sure you will have a full church as well Bond......I'll be there.....I might be a white thing in the corner floating about ....but I'll be there.  littleBlond  "Whooooo! "

Oh sorry been nattering to Susan and then telephone  "I've been calling you for nearly an hour"

Its Milton Keynes Dons , a transplant from Wimbledon.
I saw part of the game on my breaks.
Sad to say that the Liverpool game is only on Pay-per-view
on my service on Fox sports 2.
If you have seen the video at the Coventry game on FB you
will see my cousin Sues crazy husband Dennis up at the
back leading the cheers He has glasses on and short hair.
He is on the upper left side of the crowd of Coventry
supporters. He says they got 9,000 Coventry supporters
outnumbering the home team fans!
He will be drunk as a skunk going home. Hope he got there
by train or bus!

Going to sort myself out again this morning now
that the DMV visit did not go as planned.
I have today and tomorrow to catch up at home.
Then on Monday its back to the Opticians to
complete the form and back to the DMV to
hand it in and see when I can get an appointment
for the driving test. I will also be dropping Big Red
off later in the day.
The DMV do get cancellations on a regular basis .
The last time I was there one young lady was being
calmed by her friend and ended up leaving before
the examiner even came out of the door!
Its a place of high stress, like taking exams in school.
They expect you to be cool, calm and collected enough
to drive perfectly when you've just sat for an hour or
two staring at your navel with chaos going on all around
you!
At least I have a 60 day extension so if I have to wait 45
days to get an appointment I am OK with that.

Bond, to Mrs.B bondchamps

Now we are into tax season so another stressor on the way.
Ian has the information on Morgan Stanley and the Amazon
account from Peters book sales. Guess which is the best seller?
its the book of Music Hall song lyrics!
That's about one a month . Not a lot of money but enough to
keep the account up and running.
I get the rest by snail mail so must keep track of what's coming
and make sure to put them in a large envelope for safe keeping.
I still have to consult Brian about my SS increase as the numbers
don't look right to me.
Tabbitha is a bit under the weather at the moment but just when
I think I should take her in ,she and Jagger start having fun and games
all over the house. She has a full tummy right now and is sound asleep so
I am going to let sleeping cats sleep.
Its major cat box clean out today, good job I use liners so its not as bad
as it could be.
Must close and get my first cup of tea this morning, I am parched tongue

Hi all, got your legs on there Carole
Yes it's surprisingly how many lives we pass through in our time on here, now mrsb always says I would have a full church with all the groups, jobs and classes I have been involved in over the years,
It was like at (Mary's) Warren's funeral there was loads from different clubs that he had been involved in, one group of bikers not hells angels type but the big expensive tourers type
I went to one some years ago of a( Skeggsy) Keith Skegs a plumber I think all the sites around Nuneaton closed that day as Al the builders of the town were there, he's famous saying if asked if he was Keith he would say foes he owe you money? If the answer was no he would say I'm him, that was said by a friend from the pulpit

You and ME both then Vicky one pew  funnytvprog
Tony sounds like he  spread around a LOT
Talking of funerals Wendy's BIL Brian arrived
home last night from  Singapore so they are seeing
the funeral director Tuesday ,her MIL is being cremated
as was her FIL last year
Also asked her poimt blank how did they manage to acquire
a council bungalow while still owning a house, she said
and I quote "it was due to health reasons ,and that the council
where they live in Cornwall were in need of money and that
the bungalows were sitting empty and they were offered one"
SO there you go ,I guess all councils are NOT the same  confused2

Bond your cheese burger sounded good ,saw this morning on FB
a Sirloin steak cooked in butter after being salt n peppered ,then they
made a sauce with mushrooms and {wait for it what Vicky HATES }
garlic poured over it ...OH YUM

I took out a Eye of round joint from the freezer today as while
Keith has been here we have not been able to eat as we,or should I
say ME is supposed to be doing so at least we will eat proper
over the weekend and I will make a Lasagna for Monday as that is
when he returns supposedly to drop the microwave again as he did
not finish steam cleaning it ,plus will be changing the outlets on
the wall near the sink and bringing the one that cannot be used
as its sitting 3/4 hidden by the back of the stove to the side
so I shall have an extra outlet to use when cooking
He said he will be looking at stains as well as what he has done
has taken all the finish off the cabinet draws and doors
{should have been replaced like Spencer said } but we take
what our dear landlady gives ......

Vicky there is nothing wrong with Gil's memory ,its his eyesight
that is going

OK I shall return the one load I have in the dryer should be done now
Back later

MORNING MARGE
I see your going up to around 82f this week around your

Gil watched Leicester clobber Petersboro just now  headball

And Bond you better start passing those "cards" out ,getting a reputation
funnytvprog "my living room was painted by Sir Bond " funnytvprog
