First topic message reminder :

Yes that's her Carole though like you she doesn't spring to mind, just have Marilyn Monroe of pop in my mindI know she had twins Paul & Barry who took up singing but Paul I think it was gave it up and just wrote songs and his brother went solo.....but I couldn't tell you the songs of either the Mum or the twins. I do remember the boys slightly

Yes it was Lily sitting at a table opening one of her Christening presents......this one is Lily getting Christened, hope you can see her ok....and the lady Vicar, who was lovely.

Well had a text from my GP asking
about my problem and he said if the
"feeling" persists I should call my G.I. DR
only problem with that is the last time I
saw one was when I had to get the upper and lower
scopes done after becoming a certain age
and the lady I had is no longer in this State
Before this the last time I saw one was
Dr Link back in the late 70's early '80's when I was
diagnosed with Diverticulitis {no operation controlled
it with diet,lots of salads etc to keep me "going" }
So just been looking up Dr's in our area and see Dr Link
is STILL practicing at 76 yrs of age ,OR I can go see
the Dr ,Dr Landau age 57 who I took  George to a few
of times ...
So FINGERS CROSSED the "feeling" goes away

Well I am waiting to see if I hear
back from my GP as to whether I should
see him or another Dr to see why I am feeling
like this in my throat/chest like a mild heart burn
after I ate the veggie subway a few days ago
I am also feeling gassy {no Bond not so much
THAT end} more like when I eat or drink anything
I burp ,so not sure if I have irritated my pipes

Barbara arrived but again Gil did not want a shower
so she bed bathed him and he stayed in bed till she left at 1pm
as once again I was told he did not want me TALKING to her
all day confused2
While I ran to the store she washed my kitchen floor mop
for something to do....I told her she might have more to do
next week as that is when this guy is starting the kitchen
I am going to be pulling my hair out with Gil sitting here
when the guy is working on the cabinets etc said he is
steam cleaning the cabinets first I think headbanger

I WANT it done but not looking forward to having it done
as its going to upset everything

Weather is dry and sunny but not as warm as one would want
Marge that is what I had to do again refill the catmilkbowl
supplies

Nice hair do Vicky and look at those finger nails

Is it still forecasting for Sunday ?
Wendy said its rained all week down there

I took out fish from the deep freezer for dinner today
some white Haddock I bought Sunday ,but unless it
bucks its idea's up we will NOT be having it for TONIGHT
as its not defrosting fast enough headbanger

Be back later

Yes Bond saw the guy with the cap.

Our Pet shop donates to an animal charity each time you have you pass your Card to them.....after awhile we do get something off some pet food, dog biscuits, treats or something like that to say "Thank you" for having the card and donating to the animal charity.    I always put something in the Air Ambulance tin when ever I go into a shop and spot the tin,  I put our (Sylvia & me)  pub savings up in their tin which was about £40 instead of spending it on myself, though I did say to Sylvia at the start "Come on you or I'm going to spend the kitty on myself"  when she died I decided to give the money to Air Ambulance Sylvia would have been proud, she liked that charity.....they need all the help they can get, without them so many people would have died and they get no help from the Government.

Oh well later on.

It looks like we will have a bit of rain here
later today into tomorrow. Skies are beginning
to darken right now.
It is the stand pipe that is leaking and it has to be
the turn on/off valve knob.
I got BB through her smog test right as rain but
Big Red was a wash out as he is running a very rich
fuel mixture so I have to go to a service place that is
expert in these things. Its just around the corner
from the smog place and then I can take him back
and run the test again.
I knew I should have had him tuned up before I went
but was trying to get them both over in one day.
More haste ,less speed. confused2 his registration is
not due until early March so lots of time yet.

Still no contact from Melanie so will be messaging
her today to see what's going on up there.

Going to make a big effort this week end to catch up
on notifying all the charities that Peter sent money to
over the years to take his name off their lists.
I am going to stick to a few that I can keep track of
and donate once a year. Our Torrance Police force
association does good work in buying equipment
that the force has a hard time covering in their
budget. They just got a new K9 officer dog.
I donate a couple of dollars every time I shop
at our big pet supply stores which is once a week.
This goes towards feeding and medical care for
all animals who are rescued.

I am going to concentrate on my driving exam next week
so I am prepped and ready to take it.
I feel a lot more confident after those driving lessons that
I can pass the test, especially now I have done that long
drive up to Melanie's and back. I proved to myself that I
am still capable of driving safely.
Its more dangerous on our local streets!

How some of these people drive and disobey the traffic
laws is beyond me. You have to be prepared for any and
everything. That's why I try to get things done after the
morning rush hour and before the kids get out of school
in the afternoon. By then the workers commute has also
started.
We, in this local area are more of a bedroom community with
not much industry other than medical, Two large hospitals
and loads of specialists offices beside the retail malls and shops.
Most people commute out of town to their jobs so heavy
traffic volume out in the morning and in again late afternoon.
Lots of aero space companies up near LAX and surrounding
areas like the new startup Space Ex head quartered in one
of Northrop's old buildings.
Most of the local industry is situated on the east side of Torrance
well away from us, nearer the Freeways.
I am on my last grocery reserves so must do some shopping this
morning or I won't be eating the next day or so.
Got the cats canned cat food and cat litter as it was right behind
the smog place I went to, so they are set for the week.
I am left with cereal this morning and a toasted muffin, no
teabags left so its coffee instead.

Good afternoon Vicky nice hairdo and the red nail look sharp
Why Are we not seeing your legs and red shoes or red toe nails on the swivel chair
It's a bigger picture than I've chopped and you can see see the old Black cars
What about the the lad in the perky blinders cap going by the other way
Just fetched the fish chips and mushy peas a real big meal for two for £7:50

Yes it was cold this morning, went to the hairdressers I also had my nails done....was pleased with both....hair curly nails red   littleBlond

Gil and I are so alike, Bond also, I tell everyone  "Take care"   on them leaving us, oh the phone I said "Bye take care"   when anyone's walking out of the door I say "Take care" and I even find myself saying "Night Night Take care" as they're going up to bed.    Susan often says "Yes Mum I'll be careful walking up the stairs"  I try not to but it just comes out.

Rob came early to wait for the kids.......they've just all gone. .

Lovely photo Bond.

My new avatar is the new rug and the bottom of the chair which was David's 60th bitthday present  which we sit on (I'm sat on it now) when we're on the .    Though I'm not sitting that photo. cheers

Bev's just phoned......I was checking my mobile this morning as we were going to leave for the hairdressers and phoned Bev instead of the house. I said "Why's the phone not ringing?" Oops.

Back now A smell of toast and coffee
Sorted the photo of my grandad the only one
I know of, it's a photo of a small photo so not very clear
But put a hat on Benjie and you have him
His watch chain doesn't show up well but I have it now
I didn't have the watch but bought a Ingersoll Crown pocket watch
To go either it it would of been a cheap everyday watch at the time

santa Bond watch how you go as
Gil tells everyone leaving our house

Going to be in the 30's here and sunny
with a few clouds the weatherman is saying
and close to 50f on Saturday ,January thaw
and will be causing BIG problems to the towns
to the North East ,Kent Haddam and Middletown
as the rivers that run through them have ICE JAMS
unbelievable the pictures coming out of them causing
flooding on the Connecticut River etc
The coast guard is trying to break it up but some ice
is over 10ft deep they are saying

SO another Friday draws around ....

Wendy said they were packing up so much stuff that
her MIL had and that her son Antony and DIL had watched Henry
for them so they could get stuff done and her BIL is being
home the 24th or 25th as the Merchant Navy has to find a replacement
for him on his ship, then they can do the bigger stuff as Derek
with his not so good health having had that Kidney transplant
should not be lugging stuff alone so sounds like its going to take a
while to clear everything out...

Wondering how Gil will be when he wakes up today confused2

Ok so its GOOD MORNING LADIES once again
I shall return run run

Well heard from the GP's office the bleeding
did not affect his blood count still at a 12 which
is very good
He has a visit from the GP's PA the 26th ,they do
this every three months unless something happens
Also called the Urologist and he said to call him again
next week as I said Gil's been back to "normal" the last two
days
He is still in pain though ,EVERY WHERE neck ,legs butt
we have been putting zinc cream on him between his legs
as its a little red ,and they gave that him in the nursing home
to prevent bed sores ,so not sure what is ailing him there,he
is just one BIG ACHE

The bride has to feel comfortable Bond so I am sure when
she sees "THAT" dress she will KNOW ....

Well just fed Gil so going to take my shower

Oh boy Spencer just said he is losing weight through all
this ,he has lost a LOT of his belly ,that's worrying

Hi Marge ,you KNOW you have done
GREAT the time since pete left ,and its only
natural your going to feel like that when certain dates
roll around
Good you have special places where you can remember
your good times together ...
Sorry to hear about your leaky sprinkler
and as to having to use up all your own resources
before getting anything talktohand tell me about it
the only reason Gil got on the "state" is because
we have NARDA confused2

Spencer just came home for a while ,he has an appointment
Saturday with Carmen's GP having had to find another one
as he was seeing MY GP but this new health insurance they
have had to get ,Dr Logiadis is not on their list for what ever
reason ,anyway he just brought home the paper work to fill out
so he will not have to do it when he goes as its PAGES long headbanger
He told the nurse can I have an application to fill out as that is
how LONG it is funnytvprog funnytvprog

He also is going to call on a couple of jobs just so the
unemployment is kept happy

I shall be back my hands are FREEZING ,hope I am not getting sick

Well, glad yesterday is over with, I did not feel
like going out last night with the dinner group so
called Pam and said "Call me next week".

To claim anything in this state you must spend
your own resources first before SS will pay for
anything. I hope I don't get to that point.

I drove around a lot yesterday and stopped at
one of our favorite places to eat, Arbies.
I had one of my favorite sandwiches ,chicken
cordon bleu and curly fries and a drink and
sat alone in a corner eating by myself
remembering 7 years ago going in there to buy
Peter one of their roast beef special sandwiches
and a milk shake after he came home from the
hospital. I went in there once a week for months.

I just wanted to be away from the house to get in
touch with how I was feeling about it being two years
since Peter has been gone.
In my brain I know I have come a long way but in my heart
I miss him so much and I always will.
It does not help that there are issues I have to resolve on my
own now. Vincent and Melanie being the issues.

Russ just came to the door to tell me he thinks one of
my sprinklers is broken and he cannot tell if it is one of mine
or next doors so that starts my day off with another issue
to add to my list!
I think it might be the old stand pipe again at the side of the
garage as I know that is leaking from somewhere. I keep
turning it on and off and draining the hose but it just seems to
keep dripping. It seems I must call the plumber now rather than
later.
Here's to another sunny day here but we are going to have very
high surf along our west facing beaches with waves breaking over
12 to 16 feet in places . Only professional surfers allowed in the
water at the moment.
Must get going here. TTFN

Oh Bond you can go into settings and switch off "Predictive text" that should help.    Try what carole suggests and then if it doesn't work try what David suggests.

Remember carole the MAIN dress is a secret

They'll still have made themselves homeless though, it wouldn't have worked......though as you say maybe Wendy's got it wrong.

Ok back later.......

SCAMPI and CHIPS and other stuff @
my your eating well young lady funnytvprog
As to Derek's mum's house I have no idea then
maybe the parents gave it to Brian saying he had to
sell it and split the money with Derek after they passed
I can only relate to you what my sister said although
she has been known to get things mixed up before

funnytvprog that's OK Bond I understand
Last night I was on my Tablet talking with my sister
and it kept writing what "IT" THOUGHT I should be saying
was driving me CRAZY ,although my daughter says you can
unplug the auto correct that I believe is what does that

Just ran {:driver: } to get a new TV remote ,as Gil keeps
DROPPING it on the floor ,and its a GOOD job it falls on the carpet
and only the battery cover pops off ,as when I took it into the Cable
company office and went to hand the girl the remote it DROPPED on the
tiled floor and SPLATTERED to PIECES affraid
As with Spencer saying he was going to get his Dad a HELMET
for every time he would fall hitting his bonce ,I am thinking of
WRAPPING this remote in bubble wrap as if he drops it
ONCE a week he must drop it 5 times headbanger

Ok I shall be over there eating my turkey sarnie for when
Vicky and Marge get back on

OH Bond and decision on the wedding dresses confused2

No they still couldn't "deed" it over to the sons Carole the Council would have said "Sorry but you had a house you've made yourselves homeless"  confused2

And tea for me please......went to the little Palmers.....I wasn't going to have much  ended up having scampi chips & peas and I had a slice of apricot fruit loaf. Mmmm so I'm stuffed.

Oh this lunch time Benjie was just lying on the top of the sofa, on his side, watching the world go by, I said to him "It's a dogs life" Smile

Good afternoon all, it's just started raining here after not being a bad day
The wind had dropped when we got up but just gone by the big houses in South Street and a big silver birch is across the lawn, it lucky its fallen across the lawn not into the road my cousin was killed in by a fallen tree, he owned a garage and on a windy night he drove out to see things were OK but on his way back a tree has fallen across the road, the bottom half of the car went under it but the top half didn't
Been working on the black great see photo
Talking of photos I will sort the one out of my grandad

WELL ,stands with hands on hips
THERE you ARE nono

No Derek's brother has been living in the
parents home Vicky ,and the "year" Wendy
said was in the will confused2 not quite sure
what that means but did not want to seem THAT
nosy as its really none of MY business,I did though
wonder how they pulled that off as I imagined if
you owned a home you would have a job getting into
a council place confused2 maybe they deeded it over
to the sons when they knew Derek's dad had to go to
a first floor home .....

Have no idea how Gil is yet as he is still Sleep

I do not think Gil realizes either that he would lose his
SS as that would be taken to help of set his keep in a home
so that would leave ME up the river with out a paddle

Hi Gang......sorry I didn't back in last night, first Susan telephone  and we had a long natter, then  phoned and she was on until something was coming on the TV she wanted to watch and then  Bev telephone  so by then I was tired  and so I went off to bed.

Oh Margaret money makes so much trouble.  telephone  he's lucky you still keep up the allowance Peter arranged.    Of course the gems are yours to treasure and then pass on.

Thoughout the years the medical profession have wondered what George was suffering from each have put forward an idea.    The Author has read letters and diaries of people who were there at the time and it makes terrible reading and I'm saying "No no no you can't do that you prat"   makes you realise if they did that to THE KING what they did to plebs.   Even him ordering people to do things and they didn't was of course a shock to him "But I'm the King" and THAT was a sign he was mad to the doctors  confused2

Yes it was very windy during the night Bond.

So the house has been empty since Dereks parents moved to a Council  Bungalow ?   Wonder why they didn't sell it and buy a Bungalow  confused2    The Council were good usually they tell you if you've got a house you can't have a Council bungalow.    Or am I reading wrong? headbanger     The year thing is sounding like Council.   confused2

How's Gil today.......trouble is Carole Homes usually let you do what you want, it's your home.     I know David's Dad could come down and join the other old people or stay in his bedroom, watching TV, laying on his bed....anything he wanted to do.  Paid a lot for that though.

Ok back later.

Sorry Carole trying to find in the book when they thought George had what Margaret was taking about.....and the phones gone twice.   Cold calling.

As to the washing.....well I'm off out and I just thought..."Carole's doing some washing ...soooo"

Morning Bond ,I had to funnytvprog  at
your description of your garbage bins during
the night,we have the big wheeley  bins  provided
by the city here in Bridgeport so not much chance
of that happening unless they are empty ,now at the OTHER
house we had to buy our own and mine were heavy plastic
50gal but not THAT heavy that they would get blown over
if we had some strong winds
Ours were picked up Wednesday morning at 12:25AM
this week{its normally at 4am }  as I guess they were trying to
catch up from the snow two weeks ago

In the 20's here but going to be dry and sunny  they say
but cannot confirm that YET at 530am confused2
They are saying we could flirt with 50f over the weekend as well
Cool in Florida AGAIN only in the 30's in Fort Meyers ,one of the
stops Tracie    to

Anyway lets see what today brings with my husband as his
mood was NOT the best yesterday   even saying he WANTED
to go into a HOME  I told him they would not let him lay around
like he does here ,so not sure where THAT was coming from  Mad

My sister told me last night Derek's brother is living in his parents
house after they moved to a council bungalow as his Dad could
not manage the stairs ,so that is what they are trying to clean out
and Wendy says she had a lot of "stuff" so would be taking
boxes down today to pack dishes in etc but that the clothes would
be sent to charity shops etc
The house is in the will and something about a year so not sure
if they specified Brian would have a year to get out should anything
happen  confused2
He is hoping to be    home next week so must be
somewhere a long way away boat from the   in the mean time
Derek and Wendy are cleaning up as best they can ...always something

MORNING LADIES
hope you had a good night
I shall be back
Have fun Bond   confused1

My husband just informed me he wants to go into a home Rolling Eyes
Not sure what he thinks he will be allowed to do if he does go

Hello you two ...Barbara was right on time
but said she slipped a little coming down the hill
as the temps keep up and down ,right now when
she left it was starting to snow again

Today Gil had a bed bath as the guy was coming from
Quest Diagnostics blood labs to take his blood
then I popped to the store to pay the Electric Bill
and when I got back Barbara helped me straighten
out my linen closet ,well two SHELVES of the four
Gil was being obnoxious again ,saying we YACK too much
I told him we were cleaning and as long as he was OK
{had his scratch offs} why was he being so RUDE ,seems
he thinks I should sit here and look at his Aid and we
should not SPEAK headbanger
She laughs it off but its embarrassing

I threw a beef soup/stew together for later ,although
my chest does still feel weird ,made a salad as all I have
had today was two slices of buttered toast
Seems to be easing a bit so hope what ever it is/was
is on its way OUT

Ahh yes the family get together  Vicky ,nice you were able to
re book it and kill  two birds with one stone shall we say

Anyway I am going to sit and relax a while .....
Back later ....MORNING MARGE

I always though it might be the same disease that
afflicted poor Prince John and what Princess Margaret
was rumored to have had, I can spell it phonetically
Pyforia(?).
It does run in certain branches of the royal tree.

Its sunny out but still a lot of fog about which
makes for a high dew point so everything is wet!
Current temperature is 58f ,going for a high of 70f
with an overnight low of 52f. This is within normal
range for this time of year. Found a drop in place to
have BB smog tested and also got the notice for
Big Red so both cars every two years.
Then I am going to study a couple of example written tests
and go to the DMV tomorrow.
Its cash or debit cards only at the DMV. so better make a stop
at the ATM this morning.

Today is the second anniversary of Peter's death and Ian as
usual has posted a picture of his Dad at one of Danny's
parties and as usual he has a beer glass in his hand.
I feel sad but will be keeping busy enough today to not
let it affect me too much.

I started Big Red for the first time yesterday since before
Xmas and he started up first time! I thought the battery
might be flat after not being started for nearly a month.
He still feels a little damp inside but nothing that a good airing
won't cure. Its mainly condensation from the warmth of the sun
building up during the day and the cool damp air at night.

I got woken up this morning by Jagger having a little barf up
on my blanket so have to go grocery shopping today as I am out of
washingbasket detergent as well as a bunch of other things.

I had a weird phone call from Peter's brother last week in which
I had to skirt around where Ian lives, he does not need to know
where he lives as he will think that he has money and will just show
up unannounced and put his hand out.
Now that both Pops and his wife Nancy are both dead there is no harm
in revealing where they both went when they sold up and went to live
in Devon to get away from Vince and his motorcycle friends.
I said we were sworn to secrecy because Pops was so ill and didn't
need any more trouble on his doorstep. I know that Vince wants me
to return all his mothers jewelry to him but I cannot do that so told
him not to forget that Pops had two other wives after his mother
passed away and I only got what was left of Nancy's because we
had the same birth stone.(Garnet) I think he wants to find out
how much his mothers is worth so he can sell them or give them
to his latest girl friend.
I think I would like Melanie to have some items and I know Ian would like
something for Rebecca.
Vince wasted over 20,000 pound of his settlement from his accident in the
70s so I know he is not being sentimental over the things I have.
His memory is not like it was but he is now recalling bits and pieces of
stuff so is trying to put it all in perspective. He is so sure that things
happened the way he remembers but its not so.
He does not know that the allowance Peter sent him every month(and which
I am continuing) is from his fathers estate even after he was left out of the
will! Vince is on 100% disability and at his age and state of health (he
will be 70 this year) he needs all the money and services that UK health
system can provide but we are limited in how much we send him as we
don't want him to waste it and think he can ask for more when it suits
him.
I have not heard from Melanie in about a week so leaving well enough alone
for now. She has posted a couple of pictures of her new puppy on FB.
Well, enough of my problems for today, I am doing very well overall.
Just get a little tired of the soap opera around me.
TTFN

Hi Gang........well it's snowed last night before we went to bed but most of it's gone .....and of course it's the food shopper  today, I did go and get ready, coat & boots, gloves on, but when I came down David had gone.....I did say to David "Hope the car park isn't slippy"  I don't want to go over again, I have that fear....I know it's daft but I just have that fear, my knee still hurts AND the other day was watching this programme "Close Call" it's about people who have had close calls.....this one was about two skiers banging into each other going down hill at 50 miles an hour, one got away it and the other had a disconnected  knee....and it looked just like how MY KNEE had looked, it's looking much better now, not right yet but better

Tell Gil he's certainly not lost his marbles......too true about the weather people, often it rains here and David will look at Nuneaton's weather and say "It's not supposed to rain" it is though.  Mother Nature can change the weather just like...that.

It's the family get together Carole you know we had to cancel before because of the weather and they're letting us do it this Sunday, David's birthday.

Bond Carole needs her big toe.

Hope your tum is better now.

Oh Margaret I think George 111 wasn't mad (at first) he had a form of epilepsy, and he went mad after the terrible treatment he went through for 6 months.....mexican fly & mustard on his legs to bring out terrible sores etc thinking it would bring the madness from his brain....they were mad.....and he'd been with his wife for 30 years even sleeping in the same bed, also his daughters he used to be close to, be around every day and suddenly they couldn't see him.....and the madness they said they saw was just him longing for his wife, longing to see his daughters even if it was through the window......they hadn't a clue and of course the myths have followed him down the years.   The poor chap would have been fine IF he'd got a good doctor.....oh and the doctor who used these barbaric treatments was put there by the Prince of Wales for his own selfish reasons.  When they tricked him into going to Kew.....a house he had enjoyed living in but loved Windsor Castle, where he was,  he was told his wife & daughters were there, true they'd been sent on to Windsor, and the doctor told him when he was there he'd be with his wife & daughters.....of course it was a lie and he, unjustly, thought the Queen had also tricked him into going to Kew and said he hated her.  Another sign of madness they said and tied him up.   He cried a lot another sign of madness and tied him up.  Later on another (sort of doctor) was added to the list of medical men and though he tried his best the damage had been done, and of course he was drugged most nights. Sad very very sad.

Morning Bond ....Well we seem to have missed
the  this time as the heavier snow is
going to be to our  North & East
36f here right now with a light rain falling
Gil ALWAYS says the weathermen have NO IDEA what
Mother Nature is going to do ,they can only GUESS Rolling Eyes

So that means Barbara will have no problem getting over
here this morning
I had a funny afternoon and night sorry to say and not
the  kind .....something felt weird in my insides
as if I had swallowed something that would not go all the way down
THEN the waitingloo  started as if I went ONCE I went 5 times
in less than a couple of hours .....
Figured out it was the "Veggie Subway" I had for lunch ,I had bought
one for Gil & I two days earlier 12" ones that I cut in 1/2 wrapped them
up after eating 1/2 each ....so figured I would finish MINE yesterday
TOO many veggies me thinks ,still not completely gone this morning
but a great way to lose a pound or two

Guess our garbage men must have been expecting something more
as they were out at 1230am   picking it up ,so we are now back on track
as with the snow we got the other week their pick up schedule was
all off as its normally recycle every OTHER week

So what are you doing for David's birthday Sunday Vicky ?

OK I had better get going as they also telephone  last night to confirm
they would be here to take Gil's blood between 8am and noon

MORNING LADIES

WATCH OUT BOND that was my toe affraid

Well done Mrs B I didn't get it until the end.  confused2

As long as it's not snowing on Sunday......I'd like it to stay dry as well.

Ok I think it's bedtime.....speak in the morning.......oh Bev phoned she wanted to know if I'd got Tony's funeral date.   I told her I had, it was the end of the month, opps well it's only a little fib.....I couldn't remember the church though    which was true I couldn't remember the name  or the road name, I bet she thought I was putting it on....I know the date though but just couldn't remember the name of either the church or the road.  She said "It wasn't that I wanted to go I didn't know him very well not like you"  yeah right...  I have to say Bev has before now gone to funerals of people she's just said hello to a couple of times.....or seen at the school on a number of occasions when they were waiting for their Grandkids (this was when she was working as a dinner lady/play ground assistant).   it's amazing how many funerals she's gone to of people she doesn't really know, and gone back for food.  There's no way I'm telling her about Tony though.....Julia wouldn't like Bev to turn up she knew how Tony felt about her.

Ok nighty night again.

Yes Margaret George 111 bought Buckingham House off Sir Charles Sheffield a descendent of the Duke of Buckingham, he wanted somewhere quiet for the Queen & his family to live, it was surrounded by fields, he bought it for £28,000 it was meant to be a retreat not a Palace   They were living in St James's Palace and the King thought too many people could just wander in and out.

I'll take your advice Bond and stay in. Smile

You be careful getting Mrs B.

Sorry to be missing yesterday but felt
wiped out after the episode the night
before. Feeling better now.

It seems the man of the family worked
for Northrop-Grumman
and was earning over a $100,000 a year
but could not keep up with the number of
children they had to feed and take care of
and pay the bills. I think they were a little
mental myself to think that they could
get away with it. The neighbors say they
were suspicious that things were not right
there but never suspected the depth of it.
Its not the first time there has been a story
like this. A few years ago a studio photo
appeared of a large mixed race adopted
family and it looked like one of the
children was a small boy. If fact he was
17 years old!
The police and child protective services
were called and all the kids went into foster
care after the 17 year old was identified by
some one at the agency that placed him.
A few years after a court case and
the adults were safely in jail he appeared
on the Dr. Phil show to tell his story and he
reunited with a couple of the children who
he had been close to in the home (if you
could call it that) he could barely read and
and write when he was found.
In court the parents excuse was he was always
hungry and stole food all the time.
Sick, sick people in this world!

Thick fog rolled in again last night and we are
due to get some rain showers maybe tomorrow.

I too,saw the program on the Queen commenting
on the film of her fathers coronation and her own.
I recorded it because it came on at the same time
as the first episode of the third season of Victoria
on another channel.
Earlier there had been two programs about Buckingham
Palace and its origins and traced it evolvement from a
house to a palace.
It was rumored that Charles does not want to live there
so will probably turn it into a peoples house open to
the public and just used for grand occasions while he
lives down the road in smaller digs. He also wants to turn
the Mallinto a pedestrian way so it has a grand approach
again like it did in the past.
Of course it will mean major rerouting of all the traffic
around the place but I don't think he has thought about that!

It was Martin Luther King day yesterday and its intent was
to be a day of service to your community. Our President
went and played golf all day!
Since its inception each president has participated in a
community activity on this day,it was left to the vice president
to lay a wreath at MLKs memorial in Washington.
And he says he is not a racist!
No, he has never done anything for anyone else in his life unless
there was something for him in it and it shows.

He has just taken Florida off the list of places to have off shore
drilling because the representative from that state lobbied hard.
(and because it is basically a republican state and he needs the votes
come the next election).
I have a feeling he will not take California off the list even if it
is lobbied by every resident of this state, he hates us so much.
Even the residents of his exclusive golf club and resort up in
Palos Verdes Estates are deserting it now the original golf
club is open again after being renovated. Its a beautiful old
course with lots of trees for shade in the California sun.
Trumps course does not have ANY trees on it at all but it has a ocean
view which he paid millions for so nobody else could have it!

Going to have a scrabbled egg for breakfast and soup for lunch again
to settle my gut. I think it is over now so not the dreaded flu by any
means. One of my friends in Kentucky had to fetch home one of
their daughters who just went back to college after a bout of
Flu part one and has now come down with Flu part two ( a different
strain of the same thing) . Its just building in this state so has not
peaked yet.
Need a cup of tea so TTFN

Well went to Woodlands.....I had a fish finger sarnie with salad and a fruit scone with butter. Thanks for the cuppa before I went out Bond talktohand but I passed on the kit kat..

Cutting back eh

Well if she's having twins, that's one thing, not that I've heard, but they'd never tell us the sex......as they never told us the sex of the two other children. The bookies were still betting on the sex right up to the birth. We'll just have to see......2018 seems to be the year of Royal Births......Zara Tindall (Princess Anne's daughter) is expecting also.....it'll be their second baby She's married to Mike Tindall the Rugby player.

It wasn't raining on the way there but threw it down when we came out .....snow. but it's tried up now.
