What Ho Chap and Chappess's  (if there's such a word.....learned husband says there isn't)  anyway.....   Who is that I spy......CAROLE  run run run run      don't you dare go off with your ball again.....we had to play football with a rolled up sock of Bond's  confused2  how he explained the mud to Mrs B . .......  Though we understand if you feel you have to take  a very short break, though as Bond's said if you want to let off steam......we're here for you.

That's how Leamington Spa got the "Royal"  because Queen Victoria visited Bond.

Oh Margaret, what a silly man Jim is, I hope Melanie's strong enough to be ok and she's got people around her to help.

Well I'm feeling so much better, not 100% but getting there......went out to Palmers, had chips and a side salad.  ate most of it.

Later then.

morning BOND it's 2,am here and I have
not been to sleep for longer than a couple
of hours as my husband has had me awake
and in crying since coming to bed
I know it's the illness he has that is making him
do this but it's not helping my sanity
When the nurse came yesterday he told her
I don't do anything ,she told him if I did not
Love him or do anything he would be in a
nursing home right now ,but it did not help
as he woke me every hour talking nonsense
not letting me sleep until I broke down ,then
my old gilly came back briefly saying how he loved me
more than life ,but he disappeared as fast as he
came
This is what I am going through right now
so please excuse me if I am not on here as much
and do not post my normal chit chat
Hope the reduced pill intake works Vicky
I know Marge has her own worries with her SIL
Better learn your lines then Bond make us proud

Have a good day folks santa

Good evening ladies, yes its still lovely out we just went and did the big shop fridgefood
The car registered 22' and that was 6:00
I as we all were teenagers out and about in the 60s, I had the odd drink sometimes more than I should but never got into drugs and never saw any I was asked once to sell some to a youth, I used to drink in the Dugdale Arms, know locally as the Drugy as always the drugs use that went on there but I never saw any

Good news Vicky, hope it does the trick.

Carole, you can come out of hiding now
You know we love you.

A real June Gloom start to the day here locally.
Its 18c now , going up to 20c high and an
overnight low of 15c.
(have to revert to F now)
Death Valley high will be 111f and Palm Springs
will be 103f. The Mouse House will be in the 90s.
with much lower humidity levels. Its forecast to be
a hot week end all over this weekend.

It seems that Mr. Jim is out on bail until his hearing
before a Judge and Melanie has taken out a restraining
order against him to keep him away from the house
until after the hearing. If he needs anything he will
have to have a friend pick stuff up for him or he will
go to jail.
Jim is not a violent guy by nature but when you mix
prescription drugs with street drugs you never know
what will happen.
This has the potential of having a very serious outcome
as he is a suicide risk in his present mental state.
I cannot begin to fathom what it is that drives people
to self destruct like this when they have such a great
support system around them. confused2
Some people just never get it.

It seems its Wills 18th birthday and graduation celebration
this weekend (Theresa's grandson) so I have to help Lorna
buy 2 watermelons at Costco tomorrow as with only one strong
hand she cannot pick them up and put them in a basket without
dropping them.(they are kinda big here) We will take them over to
Teresa's house straight away and then she can store them in the
fridge to get them nice and cold.

I will admit I did not get a lot done yesterday after talking to Melanie
for so long but she needed to talk about anything but what was going
on at home. We mainly talked about her Dad and animals as she
has 1 dog and 3 cats. We are amazed that there are so many funny
stories about what happened in this house while they were growing
up. Some were not so funny at the time but are fodder for laughter
now. I am not playing judge or jury this time round but willing to
lend an ear and if I can help, I will but it will be on my terms.

It was our bye election yesterday and there were 16 candidates
running for the office of Governor of this State. Now its down to
2, one a Republican and one a Democrat neither of which are a
good fit to run this State. The Republican is right in Trumps pocket
and the Democrat was L. Governor who only showed up for work one
day a week! He was mayor of San Francisco.
It seems that only 13 % of the voters turned out to vote.
I just hope they change their minds in November when the General
Election is held.
I just hope our current Torrance mayor is unseated as he is not the best we
have ever had. He is too old school .

Sorry to be a bit late on parade but did not have a
very good night worrying what was going on with
Jim.
Melanie is choosing to put on a brave face at the moment
but I know her mind must be in a whirl.

I just reminded Carole yesterday that we are all entitled to
have a bit of privacy about certain things we don't want
put on a public forum.
I'll send word on FB messenger but I am sure she is
reading this site if not posting.

Well its a bit overcast again this morning here and humid
along the coast while the humidity inland is on the low side
and they are getting much higher temperatures.

Yesterday, the Thomas wild fire was officially declared out after
SIX MONTHS! the firemen have still been putting out hot spots
for the last week or so,
It was the biggest and most destructive fire in California history.
Now we have another one burning in another area.

I see our "ring of fire' is now erupting in another part of the chain
of volcanoes.
We have a few dormant volcanoes in Northern California which give off
the odd rumble but nothing to be worried about locally.
Mount St Helen in Washington state is the last one active and that was
a whopper!
Melanie was still living up there then, now she lives near Mammoth
which has had its rumbles over the years since I was photographed
walking through one of its earthquake faults.
(which is not allowed anymore)
She lives far enough away from it on the north west side of Yosemite
national park not to be in any real danger.
I did a load of shopper yesterday evening so the fridgefood
is full once more.
Next on my list is to order some more check books as the banks do not do
it themselves any more, it's all on line now.
Just got the car insurance renewal in the mail yesterday which is due
by July. It may be on auto pay so must open it this morning.

Caught Tabbitha on top of the unit that contains the TV this morning.
She is getting really nosy lately and Jagger wants to be where ever I am
to cuddle.
Vicky, please take it easy, as Bond says you should taper off your pills
not stop them cold turkey.
Talking of which I must take mine now I have waited 30 minutes after
taking my Thyroid pill. TTFN

Well so much better today but of course I've upped my dose ....in fact I'm on a high littleBlond    And I've been to Woodlands and had a small (individual)  quiche & salad.  and I nearly ate it all.      I'm telephone  the doctor up tomorrow and trying to get an appointment.

Oh when you speak to Carole on FB could you thank her for her lovely card.....and tell her to stop being a "Mardy Arse"  and get back on here......please.    Bond you could do that please......Margaret is too polite she couldn't say that.

Its good to see you back on here Vicky
and glad Bond decided to stick it out with us.

My life has kind of exploded as far as my
Son-in-law is concerned. The other shoe
I was waiting for since Xmas has finally dropped
with a huge clang!
Won't go into details on here but it is bad.
I have talked to Melanie and she seems resigned
to it being the last straw.
Nothing is going to happen yet as this only blew
up over the weekend. He has been removed from
their home so she is safe at least.
There is a lot that was hidden from me over the last
few years which will need to be dealt with before I
trust Melanie again.
Enough said.

Today is set to be partly cloudy and partly sunny with
current temperature being 18c going to a high of 22c .
At the moment, humidity stands at 83%.
Its is forecast to be HOT inland though.
( I found out that my weather station does centigrade)

I had a nice chat with Ian yesterday. It seems he called
Melanie even though I told him she did not get any sleep
on Saturday night so he got all the gen from her so
we chatted about some of my finances as they stand at
the moment and what is next up on the house refurbishment.
I said I need to get further along on my clear out before making
any plans. I still feel a bit like the old lady in David Copperfield.
there are cobwebs in places and dust in others that I have not been
able to get at for years in the master bedroom.
Peter used it for naps not just sleep at night so no time to strip it
all down like I usually do and vacuum everything.
I once made the mistake of stripping the bed and he went in there
to nap and was a bit testy about the bare mattress so had to make
the bed then and there with the clean set of sheets!
( I wanted to let the room air out a bit as he was in there so much)
Ah, don't have to worry about that any more.
Right now its being use as a giant sorting surface for clean laundry
to keep the cats away from it , they LOVE fresh dried warm towels
to sleep on tongue
My two pots out front are still doing OK but think I will wait before
doing a hanging basket outside the back door.
Its that time again, breakfast and pills then a shower and fresh clothes
and a trip to the grocery store. TTFN

Congrats Bond for yesterday.

I'm having to sort things out myself Margaret.....less tablets, less less tablets.

And why would you think my daughter would know what's going on?    As she said they're on holiday.....it's the last thing I wanted to worry her about, so have played everything DOWN.....I let you know that I wasn't too good because I was hoping, silly me, that would stop you contacting Susan and spoiling her holiday.

Glad Gil managed to get out with his sons.....and enjoyed it.

Hey there Marge , talktohand NAH your off the hook
just thought I would open it and find out why the light
underneath was not on and it DID actually come on but
then I could not put it together again

Well Sara and John are joined at the hip by now ...
hope the weather stayed dry for them ...
Yes too bad Vicky is not on as she could have worn one
of her Fasinators for the occasion
Talking of Vicky saw this on FB and I bet she would like it

A book by Rosie Goodwin called
Home Front Girls about girls who worked at Owen and Owen during W11
and the person posted said

Brilliant author all based around Coventry and Nuneaton
where i believe she lives, the store in the market sell them u
can also get them on line well worth getting very good

So I might check it out on line ....

We had a brief rain shower with some lightening {my cell kept
reporting } 4 miles from here ,the temp dropped from 86f to 71f
but its back up again now to 81f fan fan

Just made these foil pouches in a 425degree oven for about 45mins,
got some chicken Kabbasi sliced up {like sausage} sliced up cabbage small
red potato's onion salt pepper a knob of butter and a sprinkle of
Garlic powder {Vicky will not put THAT in it lol } and one ICECUBE
came out delicious,Gil cleared his plate for a change as his appetite
has been off again of late ..
Make sure to spray the foil first

OK so back later if I can
save us a slice of cake Bond and a LARGE L & L if you can find
the bar drunken drunken

They are forecasting a hot one here today,
mostly inland of course. It should still be pleasant
at the coast though.
Hope all goes well with the wedding Bond, just take it easy
on the batches and cake.

Carole , I hope you did not get that idea about your
from me. I do have an AA battery in mine.
Mine is a Logitech one that I have only had about a year or
so. Its one that Ian found or bought as the wired mouse
kept getting tangled around one of the speakers.
I could tell it has a battery as it has a cover underneath with
an indented arrow in it. This last round of unplugging the router
and computer tower made the battery finally go flat altogether.

I see that the world cup friendly between England and Nigeria is
only on Pay-per-view on my cable service. tongue tongue
I can keep up with the game on my ipad through text posted
during the game but that is recharging right now.

I hope that Vicky is back soon chatting away on here.

The Palos Verdes police have had to let a suspect go in the
stabbing death of the lady in the multi level parking structure
at the posh Mall up the hill so its back to the beginning again.
We don't know if the suspect does not have enough evidence
against them or if they have ruled them out as having an air
tight alibi. Its very unsettling to think that such a random
attacker is still on the loose. They did not even rob her.

We are getting more homeless people drifting into the
South Bay area as LA is trying to get more of them into
some form of housing. Its not a lot but it brings with it
the drunks and addicts who can get aggressive when Panhandling.
It also has its fair share of the mentally ill.

Arrangements are being made to use LA city and county land
currently not being used for anything to be used as a place
where the tent cities can go to get these people off the streets.

There have been offers from some churches to let Veterans
who are living in their cars, park overnight in the church
parking lots but they must show ID to get in there and their
cars must be in working order.
The big problem is sanitation of these encampments.
More are heading out west for the mild weather and good
benefits this state provides so its not going away soon.

Its time to take my pills, my little alarm has just gone off.

Morning Bond ,are you nervous yet funnytvprog
or does that only happen when your giving the BRIDE
away funnytvprog  don't forget some pictures lad
your KNOW how we LOVE pictures
LOVE your chair I like having a few BOLD colors around
the garden makes them a vocal point now a couple of
red geraniums in pots/baskets close by would REALLY
make that area POP

Was hoping to have seen Vicky in today ,this is the longest
she has been off Shocked ,and regardless of WHAT she or her family
thinks ITS WORRYING knowing a friend is ill and we do not know
HOW THEY ARE DOING crying

My cleaver clogs son Spencer came over and put back together
the  I took apart ,got the nono  thinking there was
a battery inside my wireless ....well I DID NOT KNOW
Anyway back in business today

Have to go to the shopper  today and its REALLY MUGGY
the suns out and I have opened all my bay windows when I got up at 530
hoping for a breeze ,but its feeling cooler OUTSIDE than IN
that is this bluddy house no insulation or very little in the roof
so we SWEAT in the summer as the heat sits up in the attic
and FREEZE in winter as the heat goes out through the roof
We have attic exhaust fan  up there but apparently they have
not worked in YEARS   my wonderful landlady again headbanger

Anyway just wishing you a dry and sunny day Bond give my best to Sara
and your son ....

Good morning all from Atherstone a bit grey over here Yet but it is said to be dry
Sorry I didn't get back last night I was just about to answer questions when I got the call to get ready for the pre wedding meal and party
Yes the wedding is this afternoon at 3:45
Marge Now its painting garden furniture my chair is cast iron and would take standard oil based paint, you can get special paint for plastic
You could use standard paint (not emulsion) and it could last for years and years, Ive said to people before you get paint on plastic rain water down pipes by accident then try getting it off
Breakfast and it's cornflakes and cold milk toast and marmalade Coffee tea orange and L&L Back later

It looks like its going to be a glorious day
here today, Its 65f at the moment going to
a high of 70f and its mostly sunny
Humidity is still relatively high at 74%
but right now its delightful!
Already have the windows open and it
feels like spring has come at last.
Usually June is our "June Gloom" so
will take all the sunny days we can get.

At the Wednesday dinner we were explaining
all the "cute old customs" we have in the UK
to our token American lady, Patty.
Things like Guy Faulks night and Shrove Tuesday
and rolling the cheese down hill followed by a
bunch of people looking like lemmings!

It started off with a discussion of Red Nose Day
as it seems to have finally arrived over the pond.
I bought a couple at our local Walgreens chemist
who sponsor it over here. Patty wants one so I am
taking the spare next week when we go to dinner again.

I hope our petite friend is getting her problem looked into.
Its down right crazy to keep taking medicine that makes
you sick.

When Ian turned 14 he still had his green card with his baby
picture on it so was told to get it changed ASAP.
I did what I have always done, had his fingerprints done
by our Torrance police by their expert, it cost about $15 and sent them in the mail
but Immigration would not accept them so Ian had to take a day off
school so I could drive him to the Federal building in Down Town LA.
We go there before the doors opened and were ushered in to the
finger print table. By then the line was way out the door and down the street!
I was not allowed to just hand in the fingerprint card over the reception
desk but had to go back to the end of the line just to hand the
card in!
Our Government at work!
It took about four hours of my time and a whopping parking fee to handle
a little thing like a fingerprint card that took 5 minutes!
The second green card expired when he was 24. While at college I
badgered him about doing it during his summer holidays but he always found
an excuse so it finally ran out and now every time he comes over, Customs
want to know why he let it lapse. confused2

Bond, was your chair wood or plastic? I have two sets of garden chairs I would like
to repaint, one set are wicker and the others are plastic.
I am in no hurry as I must start emptying the house this summer of all the "Stuff"
we have gathered over 47 years. I have several boxes I am working on at the same time.
Must get another mug of tea and take my pills and my day begins. TTFN

OUCH ! that SMARTS Bond easy on the
scraper

Starting to clear up a bit here but still
has that "muggy" feeling ...
Just text the Hospice nurse as have not heard
when she will be coming, but she just said 1230-1pm
today .....

Just cost me a total of $46 to get a back ground check
on Gil being as I cannot get him to New York to
immigration for his new card ,seems the Bridgeport Police
dept no longer does it and I have to send it up State headbanger
All this for something he may end up never using for another
year ...

What time is the wedding Bond as I see the shop is opening tomorrow
according to FB the other day ?

Wonder how Vicky is I am trying hard not to make a telephone
to ask

OK back later again run run run
