Seems I had an interruption in service here about
3am and my TV went down and the computer was
acting up so just unplugged them and waited 30
minutes and plugged them back in again and it
seems OK now.
Well after finally obtaining my objective (the DMV
appointment) I was tired and only did a few things
like putting the bins out at the curb and tidying
up some things. I did not have a good night, don't
know why.
Just vivid disjointed dreams that didn't make sense.
I guess it was all the stress of Ian getting on my case
and dreading dealing with the DMV again.
I spent most of my awake time watching Chicago PD
which I never saw during its original run.

Still its all water under the bridge now and I have a
whole day in which to catch up on other things I
have had to leave undone while all this appointment
stuff was going on. Its my dinner group at 6:30pm.
We are going to the China Buffet this week.

There are very low clouds this morning and its in
the mid 50s,only going up to the mid 60s today.
Doubt we will see much sunny today.

All the Indian Hawthorne is in full bloom at the moment
so my allergies to its perfume is making me itchy all
over at the moment. I do take an antihistamine every
day which does help but the smell of the flowers gets
so bad I can taste it in my mouth.
Its hard to avoid it around here so just hold my breath
running from the car to the store.
I have the car on A/C the whole time which has a filter
to keep the air clean inside the car.
It should last a couple of weeks so gritting it out until
then.

Dear me once more my aid has called out
I know she was having a problem with her
eyes on Monday as she was going to the eye Dr's
yesterday ....the agency called to ask if I wanted
a replacement but I refused as by the time I have to explain
what they have to do its just not worth it headbanger
Problem is I also have the Hospice nurse coming today at
9am ....

FOGGY here Bond very foggy in places 3/4mile visibility
here in Bridgeport but ZERO in a few other towns along the shoreline  ....

I am not happy looking at the weekends weather as they
are talking SNOW to rain Friday just when Tracie should be driving
up here and now saying they are concerned about a HUGE storm
to our south on Saturday where parts of New Jersey could get over
a FOOT of snow and if it comes up higher towards us that will be
MORE of the white stuff for us
Also he is saying NEXT week looks stormy ,and that the weather
does not want to settle down as it should be right now
in the 60's at this time of the year confused2

So guess I had better role my sleeves up ....
Be back later ,save me a few chips Bond and STEP AWAY
from those PICKLES as its BEEN A WHILE

Morning Marge ,hope the lights are what you wanted for
your fence .... run run run run

Is that your back yard NOW Bond ? or from another
year ??

Yes with all the rain I am sure the roots got water
logged of that tree ...

Vicky In and OUT ,I am only "little" like you remember
would need my ladder for OUTSIDE the bays on the 2nd floor

Raining hard right now washing all the snow away we had {7"}

That guy sounds like a scam artist with the houses ,glad they have
someone else having a 2nd look though so they can move on
Why don't they do that all over ,once you put your $$ down confused2

I see there is an active at UTube now in San Fransisco
you seeing that Marge

Glad you got your driving test sorted ,tell Ian to CHILL out ,do our kids
all think we are like them

The Dr ok'd Gil for Tramadol as just as I went into my shower at 5pm
the phone went but Jackie left me a message ,so lets see if that helps
as he was moaning this morning saying now his OTHER arm where he has the
plates and pins in still after he almost lost his arm at Hubble was aching
confused2
Also had to rush him to the loo before I went in as he needed to pee
trouble is he sometimes waits till the LAST MINUTE ,I said you must KNOW
WHEN you need to go why wait so long before telling me headbanger

When I went to the store earlier what I bought came to $19.45,so being
as my birth year is 1942 I played 1945 on the daily lotto ,GUESS WHAT
CAME OUT in the midday drawing ...1925 AHHHHH

Oh Fran always does a good job but I only see her once a month

OH just remembered must jot down Dobbies on my calendar duck

Have a great night people

Well, it has finally been taken care of ladies and gents.
My driving test is on May 7th at 9:30am at the Torrance office.
My 60 day extension runs out on the 11th!
I just got off the phone before Jagger threw up and some one
knocked on my door(it was the local real estate man) so
its onward and upward .

Saw that Bond on the way out.....the police were there in numbers, don't know how it could have come down it wasn't as if there was any high wind.

Ah you've got it Margaret.....this guy had already got two couples to take their houses off the market saying he wanted their houses as soon as he had sold his house but weeks later  their estate agents were told he'd changed his mind, though he'd never put an offer in and his house hadn't been sold, so it was slightly different.....when he asked the first time if they'd take the house off the market the agent had told him he  knew about the other two couples but the guy said "But this is the one I want please help me to get this, come on Andy this is the one I want"  the agent shook his head and said "The house has just come on the market, you're the first person to view it and you've not sold your house yet"  so when his place was sold, subject to contract of course,  and the agent checked it out to make sure he wasn't telling porkies, Susan & Matt went ahead and accepted, right from when guy first saw it he kept saying "This is the one I want"  and when Susan & Matt accepted the offer he was really pleased, BUT as you said he most likely been still looking around and seen a house he/they preferred  confused2    You can't do this in Scotland.....you put an offer in they accept and that' it, you can't pull out.

Yes Margaret the estate agencies over here have videos of the houses.....people usually look online first before seeing the houses in the flesh.

Its Twining's herbal fruit tea this morning
as its was the quickest thing to do as I was
in the middle of a barney with Ian on e-mail.

He knows I have been focusing on the DMV
problem (this morning will be going to the
AAA office to see if they can figure some of
this out for me or its back to the DMV office
again.
he keeps reminding me that there are a couple
of loose ends that can wait until May after I have
settled my driving status.
I can only concentrate on one problem at a time
and its an important one this time.
I am now up to 21 days of my 60 day extension.
which if you take out the week ends and bank
holidays is not as long as you think. Its not 60
working days. What with the site crashing so
often and it not cooperating when I enter my
birth date I am not ready to deal with anything
else yet.
Deep cleaned the cats litter boxes and swept the
floor all the way through the kitchen and mop
same. Today its house trash and recycles out to the
big bins and put the big bins out at the curb for
pick up tomorrow.
Expecting my garden light strings in a couple of days
to tie along the top of the fence. Going to need some
plastic garden ties.
Hate people who want to beat everyone else to the
punch(a house in this case) and then find something else
that looks better to them. Its like bidding on E-Bay!
That person could have several home owners on a
string and no one would know.

My real estate friend says they do less and less actual
tours of homes for sale these days as with a video of
the house inside and outside they feel they don't need
to make the time to actually see what they are buying.
They just make a list of what they want or don't want.

Many don't even use a real estate person these days but
buy and sell by themselves, hoping to avoid the search
fee that the estate agents get for setting it up.
Found out here that many Asian people will not buy a
house that someone has died in, no matter how long ago.
They like houses with an 8 in the number as its deemed
lucky.
Time to get started here.
Its sunny ier today and in the 60s so the desert will
be blooming soon. Should be a good show this year with
all the rain we have had. TTFN

Well it started off  sunny  but then it  it down......managed to dodge the rain though.      Oh David and Benjie got wet at lunch time in fact it was sleet David said.

Oh Carole CAROLE we went to Dobbies .....well it was like this, I went with David to have his blood test so went he got out of the surgery we decided to go not far either into the town or Dobbies and it ended up Dobbies.....you'll have to keep a count.  First time this month Smile   and we did get our drinks free.

Is that inside or outside windows Carole?

nono   Oh no not the same as me, no body.does it as good as me     NO there's not this lady you visit who does it better.littleBlond

No the house was on the market Carole (he was the first one to view it) but he said he wanted Susan & Matt to take it off the market THEN but the Estate Agent said it couldn't be done for all the reasons I've said ALSO he'd not sold his house, he was there over an hour then him and his partner came to view it a second time, they'd been their nearly an hour saying where they'd put the furniture (they'd accepted an offer on their house)  and it was then they (the guy and his partner) made the offer  on Susan's house....so what happened is anyones guess   confused2      Anyway they've had a second viewing this morning......this couple kept their cards close to their chests the first time round and didn't say much this morning.   But a second viewing so quickly is good they must be really interested.

I love to come and do your hair Carole.....we'll get Margaret, you and me doing each others hair...... Shocked  no Bond we won't need the bottle greens.

tired  was that Bond I saw run  off
must have had a  "HOT" date this morning funnytvprog

Well its bill paying day here as our  SS gets deposited
on the 3rd so what needs to be paid gets done today

Got another delivery from Hospice last night via UPS ,I REALLY
appreciate what they are supplying but I am going to speak
to the nurse when she comes tomorrow as all I asked for was
the patches I have to put on Gil's butt ,and they sent
2 packages of wipes
Gauze
2 bottles of Saline
ANOTHER box of rubber gloves
2 bottles of body lotion
and
2 bottles of hair and body wash confused2

I know some people would just keep taking all this
and say nothing ,but I am not like that and think that
someone who is REALLY in need could be getting this
when we NEED items I will tell them
Like the other day they sent two MORE packages {20 in each}of
adult diapers {I already have 4  packages ,and Gil is not incontinent
so only wears them to prevent the cream I am using from getting
all over his own undies }

Today we start off cool but warm up as the  approaches
Then tomorrow will be even warmer ,with the possibility of a
THUNDER BUMBER ,before we get MORE
Weatherman says the next couple of WEEKS are looking very
unsettled headbanger
SPRING WHERE ARE YOU Rolling Eyes

OK so heres hoping everyone had a good night
and I shall return later run run  Bond wait up run run run

Great rant Margaret same over here illegals working on the land, in hotels etc and some illegals being deported when they have been over here years working hard, paying their taxes, raising a family while some illegal thugs know how to play the system and we can't touch them, they go to prison for sickening crimes ....some against young kids....but we can't deport them. PostSubject: Re: Morning everyone..It's a new week...11/08/2014   Tue Apr 03, 2018 4:08 am

We are just a bit gloomy here today.
Its overcast and grey, standing at 56f
at present and looking forward to a high
of 61f. The humidity level is still high,
about 83% as there is a 20% chance
of showers later.

Glad you liked my little RAF salute
to my FIL. He didn't think much of me
as a future wife for his son but endured
my presence for Peter and the children's
sake.
He never knew how much we understood
about what he was going through with
PTSD, to him it was a failing or being
weak so it was never mentioned.
A very mentally strong and stubborn
man. Peter certainly inherited that
from him. I know Melanie and Ian
have as well. Its just in their nature.
Its been to easy for me in the past
to give up on things but I think I have
found my strength at last.

Was invited over to Lorna's last evening for
Won Tons and chicken and a spinach salad
followed by a small slice of carrot cake.
Recorded the latest episode of Call the Midwife
and watched it when I got home.
She is back at work this morning so no alcohol
last night.
Easter Monday is not usually observed here
business wise but the is a traditional egg
roll at the White House today.

Trump the lad put his size 12s right in it yesterday
going to church, He stated the he needs this wall
between us and Mexico as they are sending caravans
of people over the border to get in under DACA laws.
(it only applies to people bought here by their parents
and are still not able to get green cards or citizenship
as illegals) but they can and already have applied for
a place on a list to be vetted so no new people allowed.
(they had a date they had to register by)

One man (an illegal) served in the United States Army
and did two tours in Afganistan and was helping other
US veterans get the aid they needed when he was
deported. As soon as he hit the other side of the Border,
he started the same thing for other illegals who served
and were deported so the government quickly invited him
back!
It is well known that illegals can serve in the military and it
can be a way to get started on your citizenship journey
but it seems that right has been taken away now.
This was a decorated soldier for goodness sake !
The morning shows here are really on his tail about
what Trump said. He cannot take it back but I bet his
staff are pulling their hair out right now!
(we know he will put his own spin on what he said
and what he meant but its to late now).

One other story here is about an Asian student on a
student visa has been stocking up on guns.
Someone turned him in thank goodness but how ever
he got the AK47 will keep the ATF (Alcohol,Tobacco &
Firearms)busy for a while. You see, only citizens can buy
or own guns legally in this country!
They are not supposed to vote either but no one knows
how many do, the ballot is in 8 different languages!
Some states ,Like ours, allow illegals to get drivers
licenses and that usually is what you show at a polling place
unless they have code on them which shows what their
status is.
The US census will be coming up in a couple of years and already
there is word that you will have to answer about your status on
it. You already get asked what country you were born in ,
why should you reveal your status so the Feds know where to find
you?
We do not have a lot of trouble in this state with south American's.
Most take the hard jobs that no America will do, they are agriculture
workers, hotel maids, construction workers, cooks and gardeners.
Here Endeth Margarets rant for this morning. I'll put away the soapbox

Yes lots of stories about Larry Grayson, he used to go into the ladies hairdressers that mrsb worked in to see the owner Ronnie and the Anker boys used to go in too but no mention of them in This is your life, but they were a big part of his life in Nuneaton

Morning.......greyish though it had  down earlier

My friend Marjorie went to school with him, (Marjorie moved into a house at the bottom of our road and we became friends, Ron was the right hand man to Sir William Dugdale) when her and Ron went to Australia with his job for a couple of years she was shocked when she came back and saw Larry Grayson on the TV.  Steve's mate lived next door to him, one day Larry was in the garden and "Stitch" put his finger across the top of the fence and said  "Look at the dust on here"  and Larry said "You'll get such a smack when I see you walking down the street"  anyway this day Steve, Stitch & Tomo were walking down the road and along came Larry in his white rolls, the rolls stopped and out he got and smacked Stitch across the head "That'll teach you" Larry said and got back into his rolls royce  (Carole & Margaret he had a chauffeur) if he ever heard someone was hard up he'd walk up to them, start talking and slip some money into their pocket.....I used help out at the Stroke Club and they all know him also Slack Alice who was Alice Slack really, Larry Grayson used to mention her in his act but oh the stories the guys at the Stroke Club used to tell about her.  Mad Smile   she married a Jeweller in the end.

We go once a month to Dobbies Carole because we get a free    Smile   we went the other day because we'd lose our drinks.....and to have a look around.

Ok back later.

Enough so that Bridgeport schools are 2 hr delayed
that is to allow the buses to get around to pick the kids
up safely
Hope Barb gets here OK being as she comes by public
transport and then has to walk DOWN the hill to reach our street

Not going to last they are saying by the afternoon the sunny
will be out

Hey Bond Dobbies @ maybe you will run into Vicky as
that seems to be the place her and David go to a lot

So all that is left to say is
GOOD MORNING LADIES
and that I shall return later run run run run run

Good evening, I think Hinckley I have said before when I was on a exchange trip with a german college when the students left they gave me a sign ed visitors  book of German
And it said it wasn't a understanding of how the world wars started
Now I don't know how they picked people for the art show it may of been find people that couldn't paint and then show them how as I thought none of them knew the basics
Large L&L, tea coffee

Morning ladies again
Nice photo and piece you put on FB Marge
about "Pops"

Wonder if the solar string lights are what I got before Xmas
Marge on FB ,took a while to get here but worth the wait

Its REALLY long ,has three different modes where the lights
flash different colors ,I did have them in my bay window at
Xmas ,but just two nights ago I took them down and draped
them all through my Knockout roses out front ,forgot to look
the first night to see how they looked as I also have the same as I sent
you Marge out there that flash red green red .....so I looked last
night and they look fantastic twinkling among the bushes and will look
great once the roses bloom

Gil finished watching Spurs win Chelsea and is now easychair hooked
up to his oxygen
Had a sarnie of the lamb .....I said he will never die of starvation
as he eats like he is STARVING picking up the smallest crumb
in fact it drives me ,as I am trying to remove his plate
and he is grabbing these tiny pieces ...
He said yesterday when he goes it will be on a FULL STOMACH
and I THINK SO Shocked

Anyway going to relax a while before feeding him again
have the Visiting nurse coming again tomorrow she wants to see
if the stuff she put on Gil's "crack" is healing its not pressure she thinks
more sweat that is causing these in between his legs as well confused2

Fruit and nut EGG

Plenty of white rabbits today.
Its 59f at present, sunny is
out but its very misty due to
the high humidity level(81%)
High is expected to be 61f
with a 20% chance of a few
showers. Low ,56f tonight.

Hope you have all done your egg hunt by now,
mine will be indoors as we had an invasion of
tiny black ants the other night.
As usual they come in through a crack in the
kitchen door so head for the cats feeding area.
Use window cleaner in doors to kill them and wipe
them up and spray around the outside of the back door
with ant killer to stop them coming in again for a while.

Slept well last night after drinking a glass of cold milk
with Ovaltine in it and a Tylenol tablet.
My lower back and hips have been inflamed for a day or so
as I was out of Tylenol arthritis formula for a couple of days
and could not find any at a couple of other places either so
when I picked up my meds refill I found some at CVS.

I saw some of the celebrations of the 100th anniversary of
the founding of the RAF on BBC world service app on my iPad.
It seems that Bomber Command was left out again.
Some of the WWI aircraft were equip to drop small bombs
even then!
British government must still be ashamed that they did that
to poor Germany.
They started blanket bombing on us for goodness sake!
Never awake a sleeping lion!

Its going to be a normal day here as I have some buying to
do online. I have seen a string of solar garden lights to run
along the top of the fence out back as the gardeners have
made mincemeat out of my stick in the ground solar lights.
(not yours Carole) with their power weed whacker, I had 9
in a row against the fence and now only 2 are working still.

If they are tied to the top of the fence, they will be out of
danger. It will take about 3 strings to do most of the fence.
Its time to take the patio chair pads out and wipe them off.
Everything fades so fast out in our strong sun but they will
be good enough for this summer.(unless I find better ones)
Have to act fast out here as we tend to do a lot of outdoor living
in the summer so things are gone in a flash.
Time to get moving here so I will say TTFN and A Happy Easter to all.

talktohand  don't tease Bond on the
Chocolate sniff sniff Sad
One of the employees at Big Y where I shop
the most is from the ,in the Midlands also
she is a front end manager ,anyway we got talking
about  chocolate yesterday when I popped in
she LOVES chocolate buttons ,her SIL it seems went
to a Brit shop somewhere over here and bought her TWO
huge bags of them for her birthday ,of course then we went
through a list of ALL we miss dislike or love
She also misses Humbugs ,I love Murry Mints ,got some on line
last year only trouble with doing that it costs you as MUCH as you
spend  in Shipping costs crying
I love Crunchie bars, Flakes, Fry's three colored cream bars
Walnut whips {ate  4 a night when pregnant with Tracie Shocked }
no wonder I went from 108lb to 158lb Rolling Eyes
Only gained 20lb with Blaine as I was then into  Jaffa oranges and salads
and CANS and CANS of Pineapple juice could not seem to get my fill,
gained less than that with Spencer and really had no special cravings  confused2

Yes nice to see my daughter but will be on tender hooks with her  :driver:
all those miles alone up and then back down ,as have no idea how long she
will be staying ,probably only a couple of days at most
I think she wants to see her Dad just in case something happens
confused2

Lamb turned out nice also the ham I cooked with it
Back later then ,Bond drinks please

It'll be lovely for you all to see Tracie again.

And a very "Hoppy" Easter to you ALL
but as I told Barb yesterday ,every day seems the
same as the last now a days confused2

Love the Daff's Bond and enjoy your breakfast with
who is it now Sara and John ?

According to Tracie's text she is starting out to :driver:
up here Thursday ,now if you have two drivers you could make
it in a day driving straight through ,but being as she will be alone
with Timmy she will have to rest part way so will be here for late
Friday early Saturday depending on conditions as I am watching
all this CRAZY weather that is below us that she has to drive up through
I am HOPING will have passed before she leaves ....
She is working today she said

They are saying the snow we will get in the morning should be
the heavy wet kind {often wonder is there any OTHER kind besides WET}
confused2 but should only be maybe an inch ...lets HOPE so ....

You know could very well have put her FINGER on your obsession
with clothes Vicky ,being "starved" while growing up your making up for
it now
Your Nan sounds a right one though buying her wedding clothes some
where other than you did nono

I have to thank my Nan as she tried to give me everything I needed
growing up in her house till my Mum moved to a council house after
she married Ron and had Wendy ,we then qualified for housing as we
slept four in the back bedroom at 91,
Nan ran a catalog and would get me a winter coat every year
I remember one in a new color {then} called Teal with a brown fur collar
I thought it was the cats MEOW ,and she knitted ALL our sweaters
{mine Mums and my Aunt Dotty's } so never had to buy them she
was rattling off one a week ,could she knit fast ....Aunty Dot was
the same both knitted beautifully ,but not my Mum ,you would have
thought she was knitting with STEEL it was SO TIGHT funnytvprog

Just put a small leg of Lamb in the oven for Gil later so hopefully
he will be a happy bunny

We have after that beautiful day showers this morning but I believe
it should dry up before the afternoon and before tomorrows SNOW
but its certainly cooler than yesterday

The space station is still falling Vicky ,one astronaut they had on yesterday
was saying the chances of it hitting anyone was very small ,but guess
it all depends on HOW LUCKY YOU ARE lol!

The States in line as I said are Connecticut, New York ,Pennsylvania this
side and I think your out of the zone now Marge as its flown over California

OK so its HEADS UP see you later
