Just wanted to check in and say that everything
seems to be working now.
I had to unplug the tower on my desk computer
and after that pulled the plug on the Router.
Then I found out the battery on the wireless mouse
was dead!

It was working OK last evening before I went out and turned
it off completely for the night.
Now it is rebooted and bug free (I hope).

It seems one of our British ladies LOVES Olive Garden and
has asked that we go there again next week for her birthday!
We all took a vote and said "yes".
I am and always have been a night owl so my normal waking time
is 8-8:30 am.
Weather is mostly sunny outside with a breeze so going to open
all the windows to let the fresh air in for a change.
Hope everyone had a pleasant day while I have been crappc

Sleep tired Shocked
Good morning from the left coast of the US of A.
I had a wonderful nights sleep last night only just now
getting my first mug of of the day.

Good to hear from you Vicky, it seems these "episodes"
are getting closer and closer together which is
troubling to me.

There has been an outbreak of
Hep. A over here which mimics the same symptoms which
I had as a child (outside toilets being a major factor
as we never thought about washing our hands).
We used to call it "yellow jaundice " a term that
Dr. are familiar with over here it seems.
(it all had to go on my medical record when we first came
here).
Just watch out for dehydration and loss of minerals and vitamins
in such a little package as yourself.

Its still May Grey here, current temperature is 66f going to a high
of 69f and an overnight tonight of 60f, There is a humidity level
of 82% at the moment and a 70% chance of showers from the
overcast sky today.
It feels cooler this morning.
Got my dinner group to night and we are going to the Olive Garden.
I already know what I am going to have, Salad and bread sticks and a
chicken flat bread, its on the starter menu but it is just the right amount
of food for me. I also usually have one glass of high end Chianti Classico
to go with it with a water chaser.

I have my lunch in already and enough canned cat food to feed an
army of cats! It should last at least a week!
Still need to replace a couple of light bulbs and take some photos
of an F18 Hornet to send to Melanie. (for her tattoo).

It seems that a rash of chain restaurants are going out of business
here, the TGIF closed on Sunday without any notice and has already
been stripped bare over night it seems.
Our last COCO's is changing hands, The Elephant bar has gone under
already. The Chicago for Ribs chain is coming back but in smaller
venues. The International House of Pancakes did the same thing.
Even the quality of produce at our local Ralphs is suffering and its
one of the busiest grocery stores around!
They are not stocking some brands anymore that I used to buy there
so have to go to Vons for them. Luckily its only another 8 minutes
the other way from where I live.

Time for another mug of I think. TTFN

Morning Bond , watch the tootsies
Bond  hoover talktohand no excuse you cannot see
because its FOGGY HERE and 62f
They are saying it will burn off as its only along
the shoreline later this morning ,and only get up
to around 70+ today ,HOPE so as yesterday was
AGAIN a NASTY HUMID DAY by the time we went into
bed ,and early at that as Gil was in one of his stupps /moods
telling Blaine who had just come in as I was getting him
into the wheelchair ,to come on before I KILLED HIM Shocked
I had him on the oxygen all day as he seemed so weird
the last two days dopey -fied as I call it ,not taking directions
well at all and sleeping almost all day ...Blaine said its because
he is going to "go" soon ,I don't know Sad
Thought I had to see Fran THIS WEEK because the 4th of July
falls on a Wednesday this year ,but I am a MONTH AHEAD of myself
I tell you I feel  like I am loosing it at times of late

Well still no sign of Vicky I see ,I REALLY wish someone could at least
let us know whats happening when she has these episodes its
very worrying when she drops off the site like she has done and
obviously SHE cannot to tell us ,that was why I had hoped
she could have gotten a tablet so she could have wrote us from her bed
Ah well no use getting my knickers in a twist ,it is what it is isn't confused2

Have a good day Marge ,and Bond run run run run

Another grey start here but it will brighten up
later as it has for the last few days.
We had 11 attend and two dropped in, including
our new widow Nancy who has her strong faith to keep
her going at this time.
She has already volunteered to go to Africa with
one of their mission groups who provide dental
and eye care for certain villages out there later
this year.
She thanked Lorna and I for the lovely card which I dropped
on her doorstep early yesterday and later Lorna dropped off the
little plant we went in on together.
all the food was gratefully consumed and we all left about 6pm
as the wind was gusting in from the ocean. Taking all the napkins
and paper table clothes flying and nearly claiming an umbrella but
we hung on to it. affraid
The next little party will be on July 4th.
I came home with extras and so did Lorna as there was enough to
give us another meal.
We did not see the Coventry game here on TV although I looked hard
enough. They did show the friendly between Wales and Mexico at
the local sports stadium. which ended in a goal less draw.
Mexico has a sterling reputation as world cups go so both teams
must not want to put players at risk for injury.

See Chris Froome won the Giro Italiano bike race.
so set up for the Tour de France.
We had the Indianapolis 500 over the week end here but like the
Monaco Grand Pre a bit boring this year.

Definitely going to see if I can get my hair cut today as I had to wear
my Queen Mary 2 cap to keep my hair out of my face in the wind.

Our bin pick up is not until Thursday this week so have an extra day
to empty all the bins in the house into the big bins that go on the street.
Can never work out what the street sweeper will do as they are supposed
to clean our side on Mondays and the other side on Tuesdays.
We know they didn't come by yesterday. We get a fine if a car is
parked at the curb on sweeping day so try to be diligent about obeying
the rules on that. Its up to about $96 now. I don't have to worry as I
have a double driveway!

Need to take BB into the car wash as the mocking birds and scrub jays
have made a mess of her ,Birdy poop all over!
Maybe I will give her a quick rinse to get the worst off before hand.
Its a brushless car wash so very gentle on the finish.
Need to go and get some breakfast here and start my day.
There are only 3 bulbs left to replace now and take care of the cats
loos.

We have a bit of "fog" here on this side of the pond
but will clear off and give us temps in the 80's with
a lot of sunny before we could see some thunder bumbers

So so night with Gil till 3am when he had a slight accident AGAIN
but not quite as bad as last time ,he seems now to wait too
long before telling me he has to go waitingloo

OK so lets hope we hear sooner than later from Mrs Peachey

under control enjoy yourself ....

Dried up here and we are back into the 60's at 2pm
tomorrow will be very sunny and 80f

My sister went again to Taffistock for their meal out
and with Henry ....so weather must be OK down there

Yes grief can cause people to do stupid things Marge
and also become like VULTURES ,like when my step dads
family came to my Nan's funeral and came back to the house
and WALKED OFF with certain items that they had no right to
like my Nan's hats of which she had many {she loved hats }
I mean they were not even RELATED to her it was my step dads
sisters and sister in law ..my Mum went SPARE when she found out
as some of her costume jewelry was MIA as well .....

Have had some thin steaks marinating over night and just
sliced up a sweet onion on it and put into the oven ,also have
some baby red potato's and Brussels Sprouts ...no hamburgers
here today ....

So sending out good thoughts to ONE AND ALL ...be back later

A breath of fresh air does everybody good
even if its hard work supervising 3 men!
Its all hands on desk here this morning for
our gangs Pot Luck. Lorna has probably been
early slicing fruit for fruit salad.

we had Pita bread pockets last night,
do -it-your-self style. all the ingredients
were on the table and we built them the
way we wanted them. A slice of Swiss cheese,
a slice of chicken, tomato slices and a bit of
salad greens went into mine. We each had a
Margarita but kept it to only one as we knew
it was going to be a heavy day today.

Lorna is picking up Lucy from the senior hotel
at 1:30pm so we should be eating about 2pm.
It has to be early as Lucy at 80 gets cold and
tired as the day get later and we want her included
in things like this as her social circle gets smaller.
Got a cute little plant for Nancy (who just lost her
husband) its called Angels Parasol with tiny lavender
flowers, its listed as an indoor Hydranger (?)
It came in pale pink also.
I got a nice sympathy card to go with it. Lorna
went in on it with me as we could not face another
funeral service.

I was sharing with Lorna what happened when my
sister died and how Pam's friend controlled everything
and did not even invite me to speak at the service.
She also berated me for the flowers in the wreath
I sent, so I walked past them all hugging and threw the first
soil on the coffin and walked away.
Unlike the royals I did not bring anything black with me to wear
as I did not know until I got there that it was that close to the end.
No one offered to pick me up from my cousins Williams house
(about 3 miles away from the hospital at Walsgrave)
William had gone to Silverstone to his marshals job and I could
not afford a cab so they knew I was stuck.
Grief makes people do weird things. Good job Ian showed up for
the wake or I swear I would have walked back to Williams place
from Nuneaton!
I ran into this lady at Sarah's wedding and would have loved
to give her a piece of my mind but chose not to as I did not want
to ruin Sarah and Bens day. It still nettles me that someone could
be that heartless when she knew I had gone all that way to be
with Pam and extended my stay to attend the funeral.
I also wanted to be there for Sarah who was 13 when her Mum
passed away and was able to tell her she could count on me if
she needed anything. I am her only living connection to her Mum
and grandmother aside from Ian and Melanie.

Enough Ranting.
Have to get my breakfast and take the pills and get going here.
I have to pick up 2 bottles of wine(one white and one red)
and a few other items as well as delivering the sympathy card
on my way past Nancy's house.
Its May Grey here again this morning but if its like yesterday,
it will clear to bright sunny later and feel much hotter because
of the humidity level.
So hope Joanna has plenty of shade in her garden.
TTFN

Morning Bond ,and a Good Memorial Day
to you and all those who saw service for us
in any of the wars
WE THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE
on this special day

Was watching a special yesterday about the USS Arizonia
in Pearl Harbor WW11 and why she capsized, and all those
men they could not get out ,so sad they believe the Japs
secret weapon the two seater sub ,got into the harbor and
torpedoed her ....27 sets of skeletons that were recovered
and listed back then as unidentified ,are just NOW being ID
with the use of DNA as they were following this family who
in 2016 brought the "grandfather " home to be buried after
75 yrs ,the granddaughter said her grandmother only passed in 2002
so never knew that he was brought back to America for burial
so they interred her ashes in his grave so she could be with
him Mad  such stories and they are to this day trying to ID the rest
of the bones

Anyway I must away as Barb will be here at 9am she
HAD to work although she could have taken the day off
as she needs the $$$

Blaine is still Sleep Sleep as is Gil for now

Weather going to improve even though we dropped WAY down
into the 50's with a brisk breeze making it feel COOLER
will just about reach 70f by 4pm with some sun later on but it
should be DRY at least for any picnics
Then tomorrow   we go back into the 80's fan fan fan

So what ever your doing have fun

GOOD MORNING LADIES
I see Vicky never showed confused2

Back later run run run

I heard you were having a terrific thunder storm
Bond as Gil's old work mate Fred in Coventry posted
it on FB

Hi Marge happy to hear your feeling better ...
Yes it was nice yesterday as if you might remember
Gil was getting down on his youngest son
only a few weeks ago ,calling him ALL SORTS
I had to laugh as people on FB were saying I was getting a break
but as I told them I WAS WITH them supervising,Spencer kept
telling his Dad to drink up but as I had to tell him if he chugs
anything now a days he chokes and what misses the "correct"
gullet pipe goes down into the lungs and could cause OTHER
problems {according to the Dr}

Yes I am afraid to speculate about Vicky too much
or I might get into hot water AGAIN so will only
say this VICKY WHERE ARE YOU AND HOW ARE YOU

Be back ...keep your head down Bond

I feel so much better now with what ever the
evil stuff was that made me sick is gone.

I went and did a couple of errands like
picking up a sympathy card and a small potted
plant called Angels Umbrella for Nancy.
Lorna postponed our little drink last night
as she is still not feeling well from her
intestinal problem. She says we can do it tonight
instead if she is up to it.
I picked up my usual supplies from the British
Import shop, Branston Pickle , Lemon Barley water
and Yorkshire Gold tea bags.
I still need to do some regular grocery shopping today.
I just got too tired from driving Big Red and the hot
humid temps yesterday so just did what I needed to
get taken care first.
It is slightly overcast again this morning but looks like it should
clear out later.

Saw a program on all the behind the scenes stuff that took place
the last few days before the Royal wedding, it was amazing!

It seems that Lynsey next door had her baby six weeks ago and its
a little boy weighing in at almost 8 lb!
Its been so quiet and I knew she was due about now but never heard
a thing. She says he has big hands and feet so another tall one I
think.
Good to see Gil and his boys out at the shore Carole.
It must have warmed your heart to see them together even though
it probably took a lot of hard work from all of you to get him there.

I must remember to water my pots today, I missed yesterday.
Hope Vicky is OK, maybe she is busy with family as its a Bank
holiday over there. confused2

I have 3 light bulbs left to replace after the electrical problem.
Done 2 already but they were the easy ones.
Luckily it was not MY electrical that was at fault but out on the
pole in my garden.
Its time I had something to eat and take my pills and vitamins.
so I will say TTFN.

Morning Bond ,starting off very dull here
with some showers in the forecast and only
in the FIFTIES    by this afternoon
quite a DROP from close to 90f
tomorrow is going to be so so ,the people who
get Memorial day off will be normally BBQing
so its a hit and miss thing for that ...

Yes Gil did not think he would ever get out again as
I cannot handle him on my own as I used to do when
he was at least mobile ,this Occupational nurse from
Hospice called while we were out asking to come evaluate
him regards washing dressing feeding etc himself
I told her I could not see the POINT as the occupational
therapist comes twice a week and she can see he cannot
dress himself  ,can not even STAND alone  never mind
walk alone now and feeding is getting worse now his left hand
is starting to go so I have been having to do that ....
he still tries to drink his confused1  on his own but he has to be watched
as he spills it down him not able to hold it so good now and if he
drinks it too fast he CHOKES as tea is the only thing I do not
thicken {tastes NASTY} and he cannot drink "thin" liquids ...

Spencer came over last night again and helped me get him into bed
like his brother has been doing the last week or so ,and said to
his Dad that they would have to do it again and maybe he would get
THREE  bondchamps  at which Gil grinned from ear to ear  Surprised

Anyway besides this I have to go to the  shopper  and I can see
its just starting to   ...oh JOY .....

So will just give a sing out to Marge and Vicky who has again been MIA
since Friday so hope she is OK as she seems to come and go in spurts
with her health of late ....Bond maybe you could  run  run  her around
the mulberry tree a couple of times  confused2

Back later

Well we made it as you can see ,{the sea is just beyond the trees
behind the boys}  ,of course my youngest and
biggest son thought it was no problem so wheeled
his dad BACKWARDS down the slope on the side of the house
to my  4x4
Blaine bought his dad one beer and then Spencer the 2nd
so he SHOULD Sleep  well tonight along with the fresh sea air
I know I am tired tired
Got back and made Gil a mushroom and sausage batch
now he is in his chair stuffing Life Savers gummy sweets
AGAIN like giving a donkey strawberries .....
Spencer did tell his brother that they should take him again so
who knows confused2

Anyway its way past my shower  time

Marge sorry you had an upset tummy hope it is settled
before you and Lorna tie one on later funnytvprog

Did Vicky say she was having company today ? or is it cos Monday
is another Bank Holiday ,same as us having Memorial Day on Monday
Looking at the dates yesterday was when I remarried my ex Robert
in 1990 May 25th we had a Friday night candle light service ,thinking
also all the men I have loved have gone on before me Rolling Eyes

See you tomorrow it was lovely down the shore but SO HUMID
here at home run run run

We. that was a night to forget in a hurry.
Had Food poisoning most of the night.
Then I felt really tired so fell asleep and awoke
at 6:15am.Just as it got light!
I still could not tell you what it was that caused it
but suspect it was the small sweet tomatoes which
had some mold growing on the bottom of the plastic
container they came in. They went in the trash
toot-sweet!
I did turn the container over and over before I bought
it but could not see anything wrong with it at the time.

Our final number at the Memorial day lunch is 11 but
there are two that have not made up their minds yet.
Think I am due over at Lorna's for a little drinky-poo
this evening.
Weatherman says today will be the same as yesterday
but it is bright sunny outside again here but it is
cardigan weather.
Seems they had more rain up where Melanie lives so
lots of reports of vehicles going too fast and overturning
or running into ditches!
Mind you, a lot more people drive under the influence up
there and think nothing of it. Talk about country hicks!
Good thing their police and sheriffs department seem to
know who they are and they work in conjunction with the
CHP (California Highway Patrol) to get them off the roads
when they can.

I have the county reports sent to my FB so I don't need to
keep calling Melanie if the phone lines go down or there
is a fire in the local area. Last time it was the floods from
the snow melt and rain in all the dry stream beds which
undermined a lot of roads which have only just been repaired!
It took out one of their local fish hatcheries so they are being
supplied by other hatcheries from elsewhere in the state as lake
fishing season is starting soon.
They have just had the famous Frog Jumping contest up there
in Calaveras county which attracts people from all over the world!
They do have frogs that you can rent for the day!
It became famous in one of Mark Twains books about the area.
I mean, what else do Loggers do in the forest for entertainment?
(usually a lot of gambling going on)

I am going to make myself a soft boiled egg this morning with
soldiers and another large cup of sweet tea. TTFN

Morning EVERYONE
Bond I see your in the "baby sitting " mode
again ,and with your Bob the builders hat on

sunny and going up to 84f today when the lads try to get
Gil to  seaside park around 1pm for an hour or two ...
We BOTH had a good night last night ,the MOST Sleep
I have had in WEEKS Brought Gil in at 915pm and I only woke
ONCE at 130am and then not until 530am I NEVER get stretches
of sleep like THAT ,only thing is when I woke my right eye felt
puffy, and sure enough it was all swollen underneath ,I have had
this before so ran a wash cloth under the hot water and kept bathing
it and it looks and feels like its going down

Its a weird feeling as when it swollen it feels like your looking
OVER a HILL {your eye} funnytvprog  does not hurt ....

I see hearing from my school friend Ron Butler in Sutton Coalfield
that City headball have an important game today ,if they win
they go up a division ,does that mean back into the league they were
in before confused2
Ron also said he went to see our old school Broad Street last week
could not believe what they have done to where it used to stand
the only thing that gives it away that at one time it was a school was
over the doorway facing Broad Street it still has engraved in the bricks
Boy-Girls...
I did tell him it had changed as another old mate had sent me
a picture of the "boys" side  so only memories left

Anyway hope you all enjoy what ever it is your going to do today..

Spencer and his mate Danny next door cleared away all the debris
from the flat Spencer repaired and painted for Carmen's landlord yesterday

Danny has a small flat bed truck charged the landlord $50 a dump run
and it took SIX runs plus he owed Spencer for clean up around the building
he has been doing weed whacked and mowed the grass etc ,so being as
neither Danny or Spencer can get paid by check ,he deposited it into MY account
and I will go with draw the $$ today and give them
I just wish Spencer could find a JOB and before his unemployment runs out
as this is for the birds ,he always had $$ in his pockets but no more
as what he gets is not even covering what he has to pay out a month confused2

So will be back later and let you know what or if we did probably after 1pm
as Spencer has to change his oil today first so we will not leave until
1'ish

run  run  run  run

Anyone got this at the bottom of the page?

"We and our partners use Cookies and non-sensitive data to personalize your experience, measure audience and provide personalized advertising.
You can consent to the use of this technology or manage your settings to fully control the data collected and processed"

No Claire sold that house the day before Matt & Susan accepted an offer on their house, so it was back to looking around THEN this one came on the market.....they had a look around, then went back a second time with their builder.....put an offer in and got it, same place they wanted to live....so it's worked out, the young couple who are buying Susan & Matt's place have a little child and a couple of weeks ago they had another baby, so Susan's really pleased about that. a lovely family in their house.   so as I say everything's worked out and Susan & Matt's thrill about the one they're moving into.

talktohand  oh no no no that was such a bad idea about living with your Nan Carole when you and Gil were married.    When Susan & Matt first got married she said "We do NOT give your Mum a key for this house for her to drive over when we're at work" she had the keys of Hannah & Becky's houses....Matt went along with it,  then of course they got Nessie and Matt's Mum said she couldn't be left during the day, even though they had a dog walker and Susan or Matt used to drive back from work during their lunch break....so then Matt's Mum said THEY would look after Nessie, and so they do, apart from when Susan is working from home.   They'll be living just around the corner from Matt's parents when they move though.  Susan get's on well with Matt's parents though.

Breathe Carole breathe......

Yes Bond but when you look at the design you just wonder at the work that went into it.....150 years this Grade I listed bridge has attracted visitors from all over the world....the first brick was laid in 1831 but the same year riots in Bristol stopped the work and it didn't start again until 1836 though Brunel did have money problems etc which also  halted the bridge time & again until it was finished in 1864 five years after his death, but it was Brunel's bridge,   Even though he'd died they followed his plans to a tee you couldn't say it wasn't Brunel's bridge.  Every year they have a venue of a certain statue starting from the bridge and dotted all over Bristol, and you have to find them.     People come from all around trying to find these.   It's fun....you tick them off.

No Carole I'm watching the TV as well. funnytvprog
