Oh to be able to get up take a wee then fall back
to slumber land until 9am Marge ...do it while your
able I say
I saw Melanie posted a verse only people knowing what
she is going through would know what she was meaning
just hope things work out as to only being 56 and too young
to get early SS ,I know THAT feeling all too well being 6 mths
short of 60 when I got laid off and then when I DID apply at
age 62 for early retirement I only got a fraction of what I
would have gotten had I been able to work until I was 65 and 10mths
but I had to take it as could not find anyone who wanted a
Telephone/Receptionist with over 30yrs under my belt ,they would
rather pay a young kid out of school $8 an hr Rolling Eyes

Well Blaine did not get far first time he parked the car his battery died
so just came home to borrow another $60 as the battery cost him
$158 so now he only needs a tire confused2
Where he thinks I get it from to loan him I have NO IDEA until
his check arrives ......
Enjoy your evening Marge ...now wheres Bond with the L & L's
Gil and I just ate cod fish with mashed potato and broccoli and he had one
of his shandy;s
bounce

Late again!

I am going through a cycle of waking at 3am,
going to the little room then going back to sleep until
around 8:30-9am!

I think last night the weather change again.
Its overcast and cooler and the humidity has
gone up again. The weatherman says it
will be warmer by the end of the week.

Not much happening here, several neighbors
are on vacation and the men are glued to their
TVs watch the US Open Golf or World Cup.

Some watch every game but I am only checking the
scores each day unless England are playing.
Local Papers have done a good job of printing
all the brackets and days and times of games in the
sports sections. LA is home to several hundred different
nationalities and each is united by their love of the
"Beautiful Game".
The game between Spain and Portugal was exciting.

Got a call from Melanie yesterday afternoon, it
seems that Jims sponsor got him into a halfway sober
living house (it took some wangling to get him in there)
but at least we know he is not sleeping rough anymore.
He finally posted a photo of Melanie and Chewie saying
they were the loves of his life. He still has a long way to go.

Melanie is still madder than a wet hen and wants to box up
all his things and get them out of the house. I think I
talked her out of it. Now she can serve him with the order of
protection as he has an address. this is just until the
hearing on the 27th of this month.
The Judge will decide what his punishment will be.
I don't think he will do jail time as the jails are already
overcrowded. That's for violent criminals.
Program says to detach with kindness but Melanie is a
strong Black or White person, nothing in between.
I think this is bringing up all kinds of stuff that happened
when her former husband went on a rampage against her.
Jim is not like that at all.
This all makes the money situation very tight so I sent her enough
to make payments on her bills for this month only. We will revisit
the financial situation after the hearing.
She is living on her disability money and does not have enough income
to support herself alone. She is 56 so has to wait until at least 62 to get
even a low level of Social Security.

Bought some cherries when I went grocery shopping, haven't had them
in a long time. Also bought a couple of avocados for a different touch
to my salads and sandwiches. Work break is over I am afraid so
TTFN.

We could do with a WHOOSH down Bond
getting pretty dry here.....

Heck no Bond had he gone to to Pep Boys
they wanted as I said around $1000
that would be for a new Alternator, back gaskets
battery and a tire {a lot of $$ for doing it}
Spencer got the parts for under $400
the Alternator being the most $200+ ,but when Carlos
looked they had given Spencer the wrong one so he returned
it and got one from the local parts store for $100 ,and they jumped
the battery ,but Blaine said he will when he gets his income tax
refund buy a new battery anyway ,and off he went to get a new tire
before they closed for the day ,so my oldest son is off and run run
once again ....

Back later HELLO MARGE

Morning Vicky ...Linda's been nattering to me
on Messenger ,wanted to know when I was going
to get tested and did I want her to come with me
silly ninny no need for that but appreciated the concern

My Mum had a few TIA's before she had a massive
stroke that took her speech Vicky ,I remember I had called
home and as I was talking to her she sounded like she had
been DRINKING {my Mum did not indulge } so hung up and
when my step dad picked up I asked if he had noticed how
she sounded ,he said he had heard her but did not know what
it was so the next day called the Dr and that is what they found out

Anyway have fun then when your daughter returns

Bond you took MRS B to the TIP funnytvprog
your SO BAD funnytvprog

Is that Benjie Vicky ? cute picture ...

Oh I guess you never saw the bill I sent for YOUR washingbasket

I'm only seeing white flowers Carole not you and Linda. I'll have to have a look on David's iPad.

Oh that's what they were checking me out for Carole TIA when I went into Hospital..... confused2

Yes Margaret I think all our doctors over here have us all on Computers......though various doctors have different ideas to what ever is ailing you & the treatment. confused2

I doubt they have a linen basket each so their washing gets mixed together Carole. confused2 I doubt Carmen put her washing in for you to wash......though hey she's your Spencers girlfriend so you just rub a dub dub, Smile .......I often slip mine in and you don't seem to mind.bounce

Susan's gone out with Rachael for a drink and a natter.....she arrived yesterday around 5:00,

Steve & the kiddies came round today......schools around the Country have been asking their pupils to submit a story which would, if chosen, be published and Jack, of course, sent one in and it's been published in this book. Will have to order the book.....

Ok speak tomorrow if not later on.

Good morning Bond
starting off lovely here 62 at 7am and going
up to 80f along the shoreline {that is us} not looking forward
to tomorrow or Monday when we will be sweltering in the 90's
nono nono not this Limey you will find me next to the fan
sucking on an ice lolly ....

Love your little bird ,used to see the sparrows when sitting in
this big tree/bush behind the "rock" after bathing in the birdbath
all puffed out like little cotton balls drying out .... funnytvprog

Well I have a MOUNTAIN of washingbasket down stairs as Spencer
NORMALLY comes home to do his laundry but because of working on
this house for Carmen's landlord he has been letting it pile up and
not had time to come do it ,so I decided to sort it this morning to start
it for him ,now I do not mind doing HIS things ,but looks like there's
half of HERS in there also ,my one question being ,what or HOW
did she do her washingmachine before my son started staying
over there ....no wonder she told him she THANKED GOD when she
met him headbanger
I know she thinks a lot about him and she has health issues but REALLY confused2

Anyway I have to go to the shopper store this morning before
it gets TOO hot and also Carlos is coming to fix Blaine's car this morning
so will once again say GOODMORNING LADIES .............run

Oh did I tell you Linda's SIL is paying for a trip back to Greece
for the whole family next weekend ,seems he wanted to do it last year
as a surprise 75th birthday gift to her husband George but he {the SIL}
could not manage to leave his business for three weeks then and so
they are leaving next weekend for 3 weeks {Linda's husband is Greek she
met him when her and her mother were on a cruise as he worked on the boat }
he is also older than she is by about 8 yrs I believe ...
Told her she is a VERY LUCKY LADY as they just spent 10 days in Aruba
in March also paid for by the SIL

Have a good day folks

My doctor growing up was Dr. Milbourne
near Wheatley street school . He came out
at all times of the night when needed and
knew how your health was by looking at
your nails!
I have to say that the practice did not have
as many patients as they do now. Most
have had to go to group type practices with
other Drs. as partners to cope.

As the years have gone by the practice of medicine
has become more high tech and filled with so many
more treatments for unusual diseases that we
never knew existed when we were growing up.

Everything is on computer now here, each examining
room has a computer with your chart already loaded.
For an appointment such as I have in July (its because
something has come up that wasn't apparent in April
at my annual physical) I have an appointment to have my lab
work done the week before so it is available for the Dr. when
I go in for my appointment for examination. Instead of the other
way round. It saves time if I need a referral to a specialist.
The letter with the information and approval comes about a
week later and I call the number and set an appointment .
I still get the rigmarole about renewing prescriptions but mostly
the Pharmacist takes care of that as its for long term use and
its in my records so get approved without complications.
If I go to urgent care for some minor thing, my record gets sent
to my Dr. Same for the eye exams results. But don't try reaching
your Dr, on Wednesday as they are all playing golf!

There is a great problem here with Dr. overprescribing pain pills.
Which the FDA (federal drug administration) is trying to belatedly
trying to crack down on. Some Drs. have gone to jail over it or
had their license to practice taken away.
It must have been a big money maker for big Pharma.
Addicts are taking to the internet to buy stuff from overseas but
they have no idea what they are getting in those pills.
Most of it comes from China.

Its another warm day here, Its 77f at the moment and that is the high today
so more is to come methinks. Humidity is going down (64% at the moment)

Caught some of the World Cup games so far but its early days yet.
Have to call Spectrum about the menu being out on my cable TV .
I usually record certain things in advance and its driving me crazy.

I am at home for the weekend so trying to get my bed cleared off and
take down the curtains in there to wash them. Then I can replace the
ceiling fixture bulb while I am at it.
I think it is safe at this point to turn off the furnace for the summer.
My and my big mouth, it will probably turn cold again at night if I do!
TTFN

Back from the Dr's he wants me to go
to get something checked out regards the
colored wavy lights I saw in my eyes
wants to make sure it was not a TIA

Every thing else seemed OK and he spent 15 mins
talking about his trip to England in March ,wants to
go back but go further a field and also take a trip up to
Scotland ,said the Beefeater at the Tower was HILARIOUS

Corine Hospice nurse just re-certified Gil for another 3 mths
I asked my GP what will happen when the valve in Gil's ♥️ closes
he said he will either be fighting for breath or just not wake up
I hope its the later if that is how he is going to go as I would die
watching him gasping to breathe Mad

Lots of clouds around today and windy but WARM and MUGGY
With Susan coming up I am guessing you will not be on line Vicky
so hope you enjoy the weekend and that David and Bond have a
great Fathers Day .....found some shandy for Gil after Dr and I were talking
and I said I had never seen Shandy over here and he gave me the company
name of who made it and found a 6 pack in my local grocery store ...
Hi Marge I see you logged in so will say adios

Lovely when the sunny  is out........a bit nippy when it's not.

I so agree about the doctors Bond......or the hospital, we have "Oh the NHS is so much cash crapped"  then stop throwing pills at people because you think it's the thing to do.  headbanger    OR asking people to take "Another" medical trial when they've already done it only a couple of months before and sailed though...."Oh do it again"  headbanger  NO NO NO.   and you're right Bond the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing.   Years ago I heard about how much money a doctor got if they put you on certain treatments.....as you say "Money making and nothing to do with our health"      When I used to go in to see my doctor each year it was "How's things?" and me "Fine" and away I'd go.....and also try to get in to see your own doctor, because he knows your medical case, is a nightmare....but we get threatened with having our tablets removed if we don't get into see our doctor on a certain day BUT we can't just turn up on that day but telephone  early in the morning at 8:00 to ask IF we can see that doctor and maybe to be told "His on holiday" often the reply  or "He's not having a surgery today"   confused2  and then told we'd have to keep trying.

I don't think it was because that actress wasn't in the play made any difference it was just a rubbish play.....and we didn't book it because of her anyway,     No it was just a rubbish play.  confused2   shame because usually they are good THOUGH we do get the one bad one every so often.     That's life.

Right David's back with  we're off out.

Morning folks ....
trying to get ready as I have to leave here
before Barb arrives at 9am but Gil will be OK
as Blaine is home on Fridays for the summer
so worked out well ...he would have only been alone
about 20mins any way as the Dr's office is only a 10min
:driver: away from where we live ....and he stays in bed
but good Blaine is here unless Barb cannot handle him
Even Dede said yesterday he could tell that Gil had been
a strong man not that he is that heavy as he must be down to
around 165lb now but he has the strength you can feel it still
and Dede is a big young man ...

Sorry you had a disappointing evening Vicky should have asked
for your $$ back being as the "star" you had booked for was not in it

Anyway I must up up and away will be back later ,therapist also coming
at 10am
Watch how you go Bond hope your going to sort your Dr's office out

MORNING LADIES

Well that was a waste of an evening.....I've seen some bad plays but honest this one was the pits.  Mad    no wonder Rula Lenska quit....she was in the play when we booked months ago but she quit.   And they've removed the car park ticket to the ground floor only (used to have 3 on different floors).....so the queue is so long......of course they want you to pay the car park before going into the theatre and they can charge more money.   Mad

Our surgery puts it on the bottom of your prescription telling you to go in and have a chat and warning you if you don't your tablets will be withheld.   confused2

Well I'm off for a cuppa.

Oh hairdressers tomorrow.......then Susan's coming for the weekend.

Speak tomorrow.

My health Insurance wants me to change to a
prescription by mail outfit but I am not buying it,
its another way for big meds and big pharma to
do sweetheart deals with all the money they are making.

I have 3 prescriptions to fill every 3 months
and I see my Dr. twice a year and I like having my
prescriptions filled by the local pharmacy so I can
be sure of getting my pills when I need them.

It makes sense, My Dr. is in Torrance and the pharmacy
is in Torrance, why would I want pills being shipped across
country  to me which could get delayed or lost because
some one programed  a computer wrong. confused2
It might make sense if I lived a long  way from the
pharmacy or were unable to drive or have someone pick
them up for me but I don't fall into that category yet.
In the mean time they make more money selling your info
to who knows who and yet you have to sign a HIPA document
saying they keep your files a secret from your loved ones!

That's why I insist on having hard copies of my auto payments
each month so I have something in my hot little hand to dispute
any mistakes THEY make!

The DMV in California has finally had so many complaints about
the mess it has created with the REAL drivers licenses that they are
opening up on Saturdays for "limited' issues to clear the back log.

I still don't understand why more US people do not have US passports!
You do it through the mail, it costs one fee and its good for 10 years !
I understand that less than 37% of US citizens have a passport at all,
some never having one!
You still have to have a valid passport from your  country of origin
even if you have a green card (a permanent residents card).
This is the holy grail of residency in the US.

The Federal and State governments are the worst offenders for boondoggles.
You make a mistake, they are on you like bears to honey but if THEY make a mistake
they take their own sweet time in fixing it.

Locally, the electric company has been replacing transformers on all their power
poles all over Torrance(I got mine done the other day, remember)
They are also doing other areas and there have been outages reported in various
areas including the British Import shop.  They opened the place up  yesterday
and were faced with ALL their fridges and freezers full of melting produce.

Hope they have insurance.
Ian just called so this has taken longer than expected to finish.
He is still "resting"  and eager to work so distracting himself by going to
Monkey World for the day.  TTFN

Good afternoon ladies, the Leading Players are coming along, the actor that
is playing Colonel Mustard was here too I was back as the set painter
A job I would sooner do, I had a great deal of respect for them before but after Monday and having a go myself that respect as gone up a 100 times
I think it's had a letter this morning from my doctor asking if me to call into the surgery for a check up chat and blood test, talk about the right hand not knowing what the left
Hand is doing, do they not know I have had a blood test once a month since my op over the last five years, and th y sign off by saying if I don't make a arrange a visit to they could stop my tablets, then they eoukd have a fight on their hands
Right time for eats then over to see the kids

It's not a hernia as such  though Carole .....hiatus hernia is when part of your stomach moves up into your chest and gives you heart burn, but not always.....the Consultant who looked down said it was that though when I went back another Consultant said it was damaged chest wall though my doctor said it was tummy area, Susan said different doctors and Consultants call it different names......seeing you said "Though you'd never had heart burn" it'll be the same.    It's not serious, people have it and don't realise.

Matt, my SIL, used to have really bad migraine Margaret ....he really used to be ill, but he's on different tablets now and he's fine.    Though he shouldn't eat Chocolate or cheese but the naughty one does. Mad

Well did the big shopping yesterday, shopper  forgot to say....so fridgefood  stocked up.       We're off to the Belgrade tonight to see "The Case Of the Frightened Lady" Rula Lenska  is in it Bond.

Later than.

BANG! SLAM! thank you mam!!!
Morning Bond ,see your off and run
already then....
Well what a day yesterday was ..
I laid down on the sofa around 2pm
remember watching TV then the next
thing I knew Gil was yelling me and it was
505pm affraid
I must have ZONKED out Sleep Sleep
Anyway Gil had peed so changed him and
he was being really nasty again and said he
wanted to go to bed ,I said we had not had
dinner yet he said he did not WANT ANY
So into bed I took him ...
Only one problem the therapist yesterday with Barb's
help had him up walking to the kitchen and then back
to the bathroom about 20ft .so he now THINKS he can
get up and walk ALONE as he started to get out of bed
after Spencer brought Blaine home from work and
its a good job again he was home  as when he gets into a certain
position I just CANNOT LIFT HIM alone ...
Anyway he seemed to calm down before nights end
but will see how he is Friday when Barb comes again confused2

Whooo just listening to the weatherman saying today
will be in the 80's even here along the coast ,and Monday inland
it will be 95f    and 90 here NO NO NO headbanger
67f here already at 6am

Anyway not much else happening so hope the ladies had a good
night ,,,I am house bound today as DeDe only washes and dresses
Gil then leaves ...Oh one of Spencer's old work mates is coming
to fix Blaine's car tonight after work as he works close by but does
repairs on the side jag  so doing the back gaskets and the alternator
Spencer said he may not need a battery as the guy at Pep Boys
said he did as a lot of times they are just trying to make a sale,
but if he does that and a new tire will be whats left to get ...
All I know is he had better start looking after this car more

Back later run run run

Its good morning from a socked in coastline
this morning. Its sea mist here about that drifts
up and down the coast until it burns off when the
sunny breaks through.
Only one light bulb left to replace now, its the fixture
over the California King size bed. (7ft long by 6ft wide)
I have to stand on the bed to replace it as the bed only has a 36"
space round each side so nowhere to move the bed to get
the step stool in. At least standing on the bed I am closer to the
light fixture than on the step stool.

So sad to here about the young man being killed Carole, even if
he was a handful.
Normally the police don't like to tell anyone but the closest family
about a death because it might get back to the family before they
can formally inform them. It must be hell to find out from the TV
that your family member has been killed when you see a smashed car
or bike on there that you know belongs to someone you know.

Got a lot of little chores done yesterday and a bit of rough
organizing with the paperwork.
I keep getting automatic phone calls from Chase but which get
cut off by my phone service. I feel if its about my Credit card
they would at least have a live person call me.
So I had better go in and sort it out at the local Chase bank.

No word from Melanie so she must not have any new news about
Jim. I am concerned about him being suicidal because he feels like
there is no other way out.
I did try to warn Melanie about it at Xmas but it seems that she
did not take it seriously.
(even people with long term recovery sometimes cannot see the
wood for the trees!
But that was before the cow pat hit the fan.
Each time I talk to her I learn something new about Jim that I did not know.
He had been in Rehab twice before they met and was going through a clean
and sober period when they met.

Peter used to abuse poor old Big Red that way, not checking stuff he should have
kept track of. As long as it went to work and back (about 10 miles each way)
he was a happy camper. I think his mind was on other things.
At last I finally cornered him about fixing it up when he retired or it would not be
in the good shape it is today.
In Peters case it was not that he did not have the money to fix it, it was that it
was not on his list of priorities until he got sick in 2011. That was his wake up call.

Must get the old motor started here. I have a  shopper run today.
and other little side errands to do and its dinner at Texas Lucie's tonight.
TTFN.
PS. wavy lights may mean a slight migraine headache . I get them at least
every few weeks. Its not like the old days when I had to go to bed I was
so bad.

Hello Vicky .don't have a hernia just said
I had damage when she looked down there

Well very over cast today and gone muggy
but so far no ...

The occupational therapist was here when I got
back from the bank and store ,and then I made
some Turkey strips with sliced onions and made
a chicken gravy to cover them then cooked in the oven
serving them with mashed potato and Brussels Sprouts

So while this was all cooking Barb and I sat quietly talking
and Gil looked like he was easychair ,but seems he was not
as HERE WE GO AGAIN ,moaning about us talking too much
and making comments not only about her but ME as well headbanger

I slipped him a pill that they said to give him when he gets agitated
but so far its not kicked in ,as I tried to help him with his tea
and was rudely told to GET OFF IT then the "F" word came out
so sitting here ignoring him

Now where did Bond go off to ? could use a VERY LARGE L & L
no ice

Was telling Barb about my "colored wavy lights" she said BP is Black n White
as she gets that ,so guess I am different if it IS BP funnytvprog

Anyway will return after Marge has paid us a visit
hope she had a good night and that things are still OK with
Melanie ,saw she had posted an picture on FB

Think I might take 40

Back later .....

I take a reflux tablet Carole.....they found out I'd got a  hiatus hernia when I had the down camera......which loads of people have but the Consultant said I had to take it long term.   So I take that in the morning....as well as a vein relaxing tablet and a BP tablet.....my Doctor has told me to stop taking the BP tablet I'd started taking when I last went to see a Consultant and of course my BP was high  214/100  I told him (Consultant) that I always have high BP when I go to hospital...anyway he put me on these BP tablets and when I went to the Doctor last week he agreed I was taking to high a doseage and I could reduce my neuralgia tablets ...I'm now down to 400mg morning lunch time and evening.....tomorrow I'm down to 300mg I stay on those for 2 to 3 weeks and  then go back and see him to maybe reduce further.

Hi Bond & Margaret.

Lovely photo of the garden Carole BTW.

Morning Bond .umm well soon find out
on Friday if its my BP as mine is normally
always down  and I only take three pills in the morning
Lisinopril 5mg Bystolic 5mg and Omeprazole 40mg
the last being for reflux damage that they found when
I had the up and down thingy ,asked the DR
how could that be as I rarely had ♥️ burn ,she said it
can happen even with out  having that confused2

Well some excitement last night at 4pm as two plain clothes
Milford cops rang my bell looking for next door ,Angie does
not get home until after 5pm ,the kept saying they were not
in any trouble just notification, and  did I know if
she had a young son {well its her 19 yr old nephew whom she
adopted } showed me a picture of him
Anyway I did not know what they wanted so even though I do have
her phone number and know where she works I said I did not
They said they would be back later and I called her giving her the heads
up
Well unfortunately it was because the guy had been riding a dirt bike and got hit
by a dump truck and died ........they are Spanish and so all the friends and relatives
came over and were all standing around outside for a few hours
Maybe had the policeman said there had been an accident I would have
given them her number ,even though it would not have made a big difference
as he was already dead confused2  but how was I to know confused2

He was a bit of a handful and had been in trouble as she had called
the cops on him herself but sad never the less ...

We are expecting showers today with maybe a stray thunder bumber
but humid with it ....
then the rest of the week until next Tuesday is going to be DRY sunny
and HOT fan fan fan close to 90f in spots even 80's here along the
seashore fan fan fan

Ok I have to away but will return

SO ONCE AGAIN I shall say
MORNING VICKY MARGE
Thanks for the confused1  Bond and if you find
my toes in the hoover  send them back would ya Shocked

Morning Marge ,how nice to have a
,lazy hazy day sigh !

Yes you have spoken VERY true words
I feel the same way about Trump and
*rocket man* and hope it does not come
down to the time when we as a country
May NEED one of our allies that he is
Alienating.......

Spencer has no sympathy for his brother
as he says their sister gave Blaine the car for
nothing but since having it all he has put in bar a couple
of items is gas to ride around in it ,and up until
when Spencer got laid off all repairs he DID have done
we're done for free by Spencer Sad
This is how the aneurysm seems to have left him

Back later ....London broil turned out sooo tender

A trick question about the whip methinks.
They did not know until centuries later
that that is what caused the "crack"
in the whip!

It never rains but it pours Carole,
Its good if he can get a lift to work.

I felt so relaxed yesterday that I wanted to
nap all day, I guess its the dissipation of all
the gadding about and the stress of what's
going on with Melanie and Jim.
I do feel a lot better today.

There is a haze upon LA today which means
all the pollutants are building up in the air
and coming our way. Usually its clean air
along the coastal areas.
Its 66f at the moment going to a high of 76f,
the humidity level is still high at 83% for us
so it feels hotter than the thermometer says.
Especially in the late afternoon.
We also have high surf and rip tides going on
as well.

I see Trump played nice with "rocket man"(through
an interpreter ), Not that I would trust either man
to keep their word!
Now Trump has set the Canadians against us,
Blowing up the free trade agreement between the
US and them and Mexico.

I learned that the election we just had was a Primary
not a bi election. Its to sort out all the people wanting to run
for office and to cut it down to just two candidates for each
office on the ballot. We had over 20 people who wanted to be
Governor of this state!  Imagine facing that choice when you
went to vote in November!
I don't like either man running as the Republican is in Trumps
pocket and the other is a bit of a loose cannon for the Democrats.
He is popular in San Francisco among the gay people but is
not popular here in Los Angeles. We don't need another Governor
like Mister "Moon Beam" Brown!
This was his second time as Governor and he was as ineffectual
then as he is now. Thank goodness we now have term limits.
I won't bother you will the details  but its all about the $$$$$

President Truman spoke the truth when he said you should
not expect to get rich being a politician but they all do!

For example, serve 20 years as a police officer you get a
pension, after that if you run for Mayor ,you get a pension,
If you run for governor, you get a pension, run for President,
you get a pension. You would have thought that each one
would be ruled out by the next one but NO, they get it all.
Some police and firemen work a lot of overtime by choice  and
walk away with over half a million $$ as well as their pension
which is about 65% of their regular pay. I know they risk their
lives every day but really.
It costs the city and county millions and they are so strong
armed by their unions that there is no way of getting out of it.
Enough said, put the  soapbox away for the day.

I need to get going here before I get all sweaty again, always lots
to do even if its changing light bulbs and toilet rolls TTFN

SLASH!!!!
Morning Vicky ...well you can say THAT
again ,always something
Blaine had his car towed HOME as the repair place
said his back gaskets are leaking {probably what blew
the Alternator} and would cost $540 just to fix THAT
{Spencer did the front ones the other week but said the
rear are a pain to get at }  he also needs a battery AND a rear tire
So that would be besides the cost of a new Alternator,so he
has to see if one of his work mates who lives close can ride him into work
for now ,I cannot give him my 4x4  to use as I would leave myself stranded
when needing to go to the store or any appointment confused2

Not sure why my BP would be acting up though Vicky
if it is that ,I have NO REASON to get up tight do I confused2

Anyway Dede has been gotten Gil washed shaved and dressed
he is now watching SWAT the movie on TV

Have a London Broil in the crock pot for later so I am all done for a while
threw in a small load washingbasket  from yesterday and have everything else under control

So back later I guess

Hey Bond was that YOU in the leading players picture on FB today

Did you know it's not the end of the whip which makes the sound but the curl?

Yes it's going to be cooler today, it was in the 80's for the past couple of days.

Yes always something Carole........money wise.

Mmmm that sounds like BP Carole what you were feeling last night......REST.

Later any way.

Morning Bond confused1
what a beautiful morning here starting
off only in the upper 40's right now and
that believe it or not FEELS GOOD
but its going to be sunny and in the 70's to 80's
a few showers tomorrow before the rest of the
week looks STELLA

Always something in this family though ,Blaine came
home said his check engine light had come on last night
and his brother said it was his Alternator ,now
in Blaine's car its a pain to get too and needs to
be put up on a lift to get to it so he will have to drop
off the car at Pep Boys {repair} and will probably cost
somewhere over $400 Rolling Eyes
There goes his tax rebate he is waiting for headbanger

Had a "funny" turn myself last night after going in to lie
down ,kept seeing colored wavy lights on the outside
of my vision ,after that went away my stomach was KILLING me
all night ,but better this morning so God knows what THAT was

Have my annual check up this Friday so he can see if all the numbers
check out ....

Anyway will just say GOOD MORNING to ALL our viewers and
whom ever they may be

Back later run run run run run

Sorry to be late on parade but slept late
having trying to fix a problem with the
cable TV.
First MAN to break the sound barrier was
Chuck Yeager in the X-15 I believe and live!
that was in 1947 I believe. He did it
over what is now Edwards Air force base out
in the Mojave desert. (this was named after a
pilot killed on this program).
The film "The Right Stuff" tells a pretty true
story about the step towards the first manned
space program but also tells what led them to
