PHEW! once AGAIN when I tried to log in
got the "MAINTENANCE "logo ...so did my Face Book
log in first and tried again and HERE I BE ...

Seeing Bev around now or should say 30mins from
now @ Vicky ,have fun and full report when you return
have you sharpened your pencil

Well took one 500mg Naproxen after dinner last night
and have to eat something before taking the other one
now as its after breakfast and dinner as they can upset your tummy
she said being as I take a pill anyway for the reflux that it will
also help protect my stomach while I am taking them
Its a 30 day supply ,with one refill should they be needed ...

Weather today will be sunny and dry after the thunderstorm
that popped up last night ,I was looking out the window and
saw forked lightening shoot down over near where my Thyroid
Dr's office is and today and tomorrow the humidity
should be lower.....
They were just saying how the water in Long Island sound is getting
warmer right now its at 80degrees

Should be a nice day when Spencer and Carmen home
tomorrow ....bet Spencer will be tanned as I saw pictures of him
in a wet suit and he said they had been out on a boat swimming etc
He tans very easy like his Dad used to .....

Hoping to hear from the funeral home as to when they will be bringing
Gil's ashes down then I can order a urn for them holding off as I do not
know how MUCH will be in each pack as asked them to split them
in half so Tracie can have her dad with her ...

The TV is saying its official that California has had the HOTTEST summer
on RECORD ,,,and what is Trump saying ,there is NO GLOBAL WARMING headbanger

Bond you be careful , but glad you had a nice evening listening to
the TEMPTATIONS I love their music .....

MORNING MARGE hows things going today and whats on your bucket list ?

I am not going anywhere today so may tackle a draw or two of Gil's
clothes

Be back later run run run

Shylock @ lol cute ...

Well seems the Dr's PA thinks I have
Planters Facia and said we are going
to try first Naproxen to take the inflammation
down and also told me some exercises to stretch
the arch ....wanted to have an exray to make sure
I had done nothing ,but I said no not now as I know
I have not, as I had this before but it did not last THIS LONG
and probably made it worse wearing flip flops and going bare
footed as I do around the house ....She also said she could order
therapy    NAH! I can do what she is suggesting
with out doing THAT, last resort  will be a shot of steroids in my heel
NO THANK YOU had THAT also years ago  headbanger

Ok the GOOD news is ,. the ultrasound  was NORMAL and my blood work
and urine test ALL good the only thing she saw a bit low was
my thyroid so she is sending a message to my Thyroid DR as my GP ordered
the Thyroid test so she would not have seen that I had been as
I was supposed to have gone in May but she told me to wait
with the State screwing up everything .so she may tweak that
or not  confused2

Tracie said her Dr gave her Flexerill when she had a bad shoulder
and she found it took away her Planters Facia ,but when I called
the PA back to ask if I could have that she said that is a muscle relaxant
and to try the Naproxen first

Bond I see your on the beach in your avatar is that Mrs B I spy
Anyway have to finishing making dinner now I am home
Whose  making the drinks then

Old tee-shirts tied into knots Margaret if Chewie tears up dog toys.....if he chewed up an old tee shirt it won't matter.....Benjie is a terror destroying toys so we use old tee-shirts, made into balls by tying so many knots, or just a few knots....he can play tug.    THOUGH saying that Benjie doesn't destroy  Nessie's doggie toys, it's as though he knows it doesn't belong to him and so he's good with her toys.        I'll have to look at that website Margaret....we've been to pet shops trying to find an indestructable toy but no luck so far.     We did get him plaited rope from the pet shop which has lasted....so far.

Oh Carole we've got a pet plan for Benjie, if he ever needs something serious, hopefully he never will but vaccinations,  tablets and such we still pay for.

Avatar is Rob when he went to the senior school where his 2 children now go.

Carole that is a FB memory from last years get together
but it was even better this year as we got to meet
Torrance's new Police chief who has only been on the
job here 9 months, she is however a former chief of
another beach city just down the road.
We even had a K9 unit attend and answered questions
from all the kids (and adults) and had his dog show
off a few commands.
This is the 7th year we have participated in the
N'H watches program of "see something, say something."
The whole program has been around for 37 years I think.
We even had the State Assemblyman for our area attend!

I got to talk to Jessie (who was widowed last year) we have
not seen much of her but had her laughing as we talked
about this and that.
We almost lost Andy on Sunday, he got caught in a riptide at
the local beach and was just about to go under when a lifeguard
who had seen his struggling, came to his rescue.
We found out that he had been swimming alone while his
wife Joanna was away in Poland. and did not think he could
get into trouble (even with his two knee replacements)
and didn't bother to find out about the ocean conditions before
he went in!
What is it with these old farts !

The high for yesterday locally was 89f but felt like 93f with the
humidity level so high. Its supposed to be a little cooler today,
only in the mid 80s!
The only place to be was outside under a shady tree with an
ice cold drink and a slight breeze blowing.
These old houses were built to take advantage of natural A/C
effect with the windows placed so that breezes run through
the whole house but even they could not handle this kind
of heat.
Melanie is still unable to take Chewie for a walk outside because
of the dense smoke drifting her way.
The little blighter sure deserves his name as he destroys everything
they give him to play with. One of her friends found a website that
sells indistructable dog toys so that one has survived for two days
so far!
She says that she and Jim are planning to get together every Sunday
so he can help cleanup his man cave (where his computers are and
most of his "stuff") , just for an hour or so before he goes to one of his
12 step meetings in town.
There is an agreement that they do not talk about 12 step stuff while
he is there as its one of the things that threw a wedge in their
relationship in the first place.
She, being clean and sober for 25 years is a hard act to follow by
anyone let alone her spouse! She just forgot that in 12 step programs
you pick and follow the guides and tools in your own way and she was
expecting him to do what she did and the way she did it but he felt
he could never match her achievement so gave up. Now he is finding
his own way and I hope he can sustain it this time.
Its dinner out with the British ladies tonight but I think I am going to give
it a miss again this week or it will be three nights in a row out for me and I
am just too weary from the sustained heat to be hungry enough to eat
anything and I need to catch up on some stuff.

Looks like I could be getting Gil's
ashes this week as the home said they
were waiting on the paperwork from another family
down this way and when they pick them up they will
probably bring him down to me ,I am glad as I was having
feelings like i had somehow "abandoned" him crying

Still  no Bond I see so maybe later from his balcony ....

Morning Marge saw your picture on FB a good turn out
of police officers ....

Last load in the washingmachine  drying so be back later

WEll we lost internet just now and TV briefly
so lost my reply
I was saying I saw Bond logged on before guess
he might be having problems with WIFI

Today is my 1/2 brother Deans 61st birthday
he was born the year I met Gil ,he was such a
cute little boy growing up but is UGLY now as after shaving his
head he has I would say about 75% covered his body with tattoo's
head neck arms etc NASTY Rolling Eyes
We converse on occasion

OK I have decided what we are eating later ,stuffed chicken breast
with mashed potato and veggies and gravy
have done my hair and I am dressed and ALL ready even though its only
8am ,have this bad habit of being EARLY ....
So just threw in a load of washing till its time to leave
Be back later

Oh I'm sure it'll quiet down after a while.....until all the work is done and then it'll be "Can I pop round and have a look?" but after that it'll go back to just a few popping round....friends & family.    That's what you get living in a small village.    It'll be fine and she did say she loved her other house but felt cut off from everyone when Matt's got to go away for a few days, ok so she could jump into her car and go visit .....but now she's got them on her doorstep.  So she can't complain.  Smile

Oh and she's going to have the house blessed.

A couple slices of cheddar then Carole.......sharp funnytvprog

Just one please but could you maybe scrounge
a slice of sharp cheddar along with it

OI! Vey I could not put up with THAT Vicky
people in and out like Crew Station ...
As you said GOOD JOB she gets along with people
I like a bit of privacy and alone time ,that is why
when all these people keep offering to do this and that
when Gil was here I refused saying I could manage myself
as neither he or I liked having a house full ,maybe when
he was OK before but certainly NOT after he became house bound

OK Blaine almost ready for the off ....then I only have to make his sarnies
for tomorrow and get myself ready for 1pm so back later

 English muffins.....one or two?

Awww he's cute.....seems to get on ok with Timmy then.

Was talking to Susan last night and I was laughing so much....she was telling me how the bell goes and it's Gaynor (her MIL's friend)  with some roses and to snoop about....she's just gone and the bell again this time it's Tara, (Matt's best mates wife...and Susan's friend also and the 2 little girls)  to have a look around....they go and the bell sounds again,  it's her FIL  "Anything you want me to clean for you?"  Susan says "No I think I'm on top of everything" he says "Oh right ok" and so walks into the lounge sits down turns the TV on and starts watching Sky Sport....."Do you want a coffee" Susan asks him, he doesn't, Susan then said when their window cleaner turns up could he ask him to start doing these windows  "Oh I've already done that, phoned him up and told him, knew you'd need one"   I told her they'll never need to look around for a workman just to mention it to Matt's Dad, then the bell goes again and it's Susan's MIL "You've not seen John have you?"  "Yes he's here" Shirley walks in and tells him he's holding Susan up so come home NOW.    and of course various neighbours have popped round introducing themselves, one neighbour lives across from Susan & Matt and her son does bathrooms & kitchens "So if you're stuck....you know where to come"   then a neighbour came round saying "I hear you're thinking of having a new kitchen & new bathrooms" and invited her to go and have a look at their kitchen which the neighbours son had done.....so Susan did, she says it's lovely, not to her taste but it's done really well....then Tara said he'd done her next door neighbours kitchen. and he's done a couple of kitchen's in London for millionaires, so Susan said she'll mention him to their builder and have a quote and details off him, I said to Susan "Well Susan you'll never be lonely"   funnytvprog    It's a good job Susan gets on with people.

She was saying she'll pop back and see her old neighbours from time to time....keep in contact.

Ahhh poor Benjie hope he is oK
50 quid @ boy we are in the wrong business
Tracie has pet insurance for Timmy and NOW
Riley, who she just took in ,seems this
older couple bought him somewhere for $500
but could not handle him as he is a puppy
but only the size of Timmy ,so they GAVE him
along with all the supplies they bought for him food
etc to my daughter {she would have a flipping
ZOO if she could afford it}
Anyway so far so good she said he was a bit wild
at first as puppies can be ,but in a couple of weeks
she had him calmer ,they went to the lake the other
day and she sent me a video of them he went
STRAIGHT in and was SWIMMING UNDER
the water ,where as Timmy hates water funnytvprog

Anyway be back soon glad your BP was fine Vicky
your REALLY low at 116/70 mine is around 120 something
but I guess all good right confused1 confused1

Yes he did Bond.......oh good morning gang,    been to the vets, Benjie got stung, (He got stung a couple of years ago) stood on a wasp......it was a trainee vet, she looked about 12.....couldn't see any of the sting and of course he was walking ok by then, his paw was hot to the touch though, had a vaccination, and £50 lighter we came home.   Though his weights gone down.....thought it might have gone up seeing he doesn't get the walks he used to.

BP was fine Carole......though it's always fine, around 116/70  when David takes it.....

They were saying it'll be cooler today.....REALLY!!!!   it's pretty hot at the moment.

I love old churches Carole.

Ok back later.

Slurrpppp thanks Bond
Your right to both BP can make your ankles
swell and it's fluid build up so they have you
drink extra water to flush it out

I will sit here and slurp and see you tomorrow
when are you returning btw

Right, large L&L, a jug of iced water and a bowl of iced water to put your feet in
Did the doc press on your ankle to see you if his finger print stayed there? confused2
I think it's to do with water or blood pressure

Carole got the lovely Prayer Card, really good photo of Gil......love the prayer Carole.    Thank you.     Thank you also for the parcel.....though you know I really didn't expect you to, but thank you.....and I haven't opened it.     You know how good I can be....at times.

Glad Blaine managed to fix the bed.....the leg of our bed gave way when the boys were toddlers so we put books underneath to keep the bed up, of course it was still being held up by the books when we moved here.    Mad     We have bought a new bed since then.

Hi Bond.......glad Mrs B is better,    Oh yes you have to drink lots of water Bond THOUGH saying that I do and my left foot is still swollen.

Oh Susan & Matt are sometimes working in the Shard Margaret......their Company have offices there, also in the Gherkin.

They were talking on the TV about the two fires which have merged Margaret.....it's really looking bad, as it is in Greece and Portugal.

Well dropped the dosage on my neuralgia tablets....BUT though my cholesterol is ok now....just it's supposed to be 5 or under and mine is 5.4....anyway he wants me to continue with my satins.  I didn't tell him I'd already stopped taking them....he said "You don't want a stroke do you"  so now it's do I continue or not.  Sigh!!!   I showed him my foot and he asked if it went down at night, it does while I'm in bed, in the morning it's back to normal but as the day goes on it swells up, he said I could go back onto water tablets but he thinks I shouldn't seeing how I'm trying to reduce my medicine intake ..... confused2    he said "The cooler weather is coming so it should go back to normal without you going back onto water tablets"

Right.......cool water please Bond.

In early this morning as I have a full day ahead.
Its our annual N/H watch get together tonight and it
seems that the street captain is recovering from
bunion surgery so things have sort of fallen apart
on the planning side.
We are all pitching in to make it happen once more.
Its important that our new neighbors get to meet the
Police who patrol our N/H 24/7 to keep us safe.
Its too late to order anything so will make a platter of
sandwiches , nothing fancy.
I have yet to find out if anyone is taking care of drinks
so I can at least do that. They are going to be needed
today as the heat index is very high again today.
Expected high for the local area is 86f but it should have
cooled off a little by the time the sun starts to set here.
Its 71f at the moment.
Big news from here is that Lorna has
a new car! Andy(our Polish neighbor) is kind of a car sales man
now he is retired so he rescues trade in cars and refurbishes them.
He had a 2008 Lexus convertible (gold in color) which we have seen
him drive around and the next thing you know, he has Lorna's old
Camry on the internet and sold in the wink of an eye and has done
a deal with trade in costs so now she has a gold convertible!
She has always wanted one but never got one. She is so delighted
she cannot stop smiling! We went for a quick spin in it last evening
round the block. :-D I have not seen her this excited in years.

Ian was working at the Shard today in London, don't know what it
was about, I guess I will find out later.

Two wild fires have merged north of San Francisco to make it the
biggest wild fire ever in this States history.
We are talking thousands of acres of land not counting the number
of structures burnt to the ground.
We just learned that fire crews from NZ and Australia have flown in
to help out.
Still no sign of the Canadian Super Scoopers, by the time they get here
it will be too late now.

I just got my prayer card yesterday Carole and it is beautiful.
Glad you got your bed platform fixed, don't want you sliding out on the floor
in the night do we! tongue

Bond , that "dance" sounds a bit lurid to me, think I will give it a miss.
I only floss my teeth!
Vicky, I do hope you are feeling a bit better now you are getting your meds
straightened out.
Must away with the fairies once more hope you all had a nice day. TTFN

Morning Vicky ,Bond
Hope all goes well for YOU then at your
Dr's you sound like your doing better these days
deleting your pills slowly ..
Just had a text from Gil's sister Pam in Manchester
said she got the prayer card so yours should be over
there as well Vicky/Bond
She asked how old her brother was in the photo so
will tell you also that it was taken on the seawall in 1997/98
shortly after Gil and I remarried so he was 57/58 and that
is how he will always remain in my minds eye not how he was
when he passed away ......

Listening to the weatherman said by 330pm it could be feeling AGAIN
like 99/102f.....Thunder showers could pop up any day with the heat
but Friday when Spencer comes back is looking good ,not sure if he
will be going into work Saturday guess it depends on how he feels
I think I would wait and start a new full week on the Monday confused2

Blaine fixed my bed last night so hope it STAYS fixed ,it was one of
the wooden slats that the mattress sits on {not metal Marge}
so if you hear a BIG BANG you will know what it is

Have nothing much to do today going to call the funeral home again
I do not want them forgetting they said they would bring the ashes
down for me .....
Think the State has straightened out my Medicare Extra help
goof up ,now all I need is the three months at $134 that they
owe me returned to me ,at least I can go to my appointments now
with out having to worry about the co-pays
Have to rebook for the eye Dr that I had to cancel to check on the Glaucoma
Must go see what to take out for Blaine and I for dinner later
run run run

If its the metal frame maybe it could be fixed.
You may be able to get by for now with a few bricks.

I know its hard but go through the pockets first.
I was not really ready until I had Melanie here
to help me and then it went pretty quickly.
We had it all boxed and bagged in an afternoon.
I called the Vietnam Veterans who came and picked
it all up in one fell swoop. (Only do this when you feel
ready.) Its woman's work, maybe you can get your
your helper lady to come and help you.
Acceptance is the way to go, The boys or David
won't wear any of his stuff anyway and you will
have a hard time selling it so donate it to some
charity that could use clean clothes and warm
coats.
None of them take used underwear or socks so they
went in the bin.( I could not bring myself to use any
of them for dusting rags!)
Shoes and hats and jammies and ties all can be used
by Vets looking for work. I kept Peters dressing gown
as it still smells of him even after being washed. I still
have lots of items like cufflinks and tie pins and his
walking cane and his glasses and watch.

Yes, we have 17 known wild fires in this state already
with 14,000 fire fighters spread between them and
more coming. The federal aid is loans to help rebuild
all the structures lost and income lost. They are loans
but at a very low interest rate like 3%.
The fires are at various states of containment but not out
by a long shot.
I am glad I have Melanie's Tuolumne county incident
notification site (its pronounced Twewlumnee)
I don't need to call her all the time.

Carole , there is no rush to do anything you are not ready for.
Its still early days and you are still in a state of shock and grief
whether you know it or not. You do not even have his ashes yet!
I kept being held up by the thought that Peter might come back
and be mad if I got rid of all his clothes. I had to overcome
that feeling before I was ready to deal with it.

I have been sorting a small portion of some
of the paper junk I have under my
after I made dinner
Keep opening the closet door in my bedroom
and close it again ,but I know I must sort it out sooner
than later
Linda said when her dad died her mom had the same problem
with her dad's things ,they decided it was because she knew
once she did that it would be final confused2

They think Friday could be our turning day Marge to bring
the humidity down some

I'm thinking of taking 40 winks ,did I tell You my freaking
bed broke this morning left bottom side headbanger
so guess I will HAVE  to buy a new one now confused2

Cute picture I have one of Blaine at 8 days ,the midwife
said he had been sitting doing his hair and nails for 9mths funnytvprog
His hair was so thick and wavy and his nails looked like
they were polished

Its still a little slow changing pages.

Its 75f at the moment and 84f is the forecast high
today. Its 76% humidity locally (because we
are nearer the ocean) Its a really hazy day
which is a polite way of saying that we have
polluted air over the LA basin because we
need wind to blow all the particles away.
I think that Wednesday will be the turning day
to get us back into our normal weather pattern.

Been trying to gradually wade through some more
items to be either dumped or donated.
I was going to vac the leaves out of the vents in BB
and give her a quick wash but cannot do it until after
the road sweeper has been down our side of the street.
I cannot even put her in the shade of a tree until then
either. Its a fine if you obstruct the sweeper.

Not a lot happening in my life at the moment, glad I am
able to run around in an old nighty to do the grunt work
inside the house.
Not checked yet to see how the new wild fire is doing up in the
Darnelles north and east of where Melanie is.
The main highway up the mountain is still in evacuation mode
so only fire equipment going up.
I know our city has sent a crew and engine up there from the
fleet of five we have around the city but do not know which
fire they are working.
At least our governor has had his request for more assistance
from the Feds heard loud and clear so more military help is
on the way. (Trump hates California because we are one of the engines
driving the financial success of this country)and he is on the outside.
We don't need him! tongue tongue tongue
Its time for a little breakfast and another mug of
and away we go! TTFN

I didn't claim on David's Carole......I wouldn't have got anywhere near that if David hadn't given the Government that money, but I never claimed on David's ....I would have had to wait until I was 65.      What I get is my personal entitlement, the years I worked and the £1,400 paid in by David.

David got a full pension because of working all the years he did.
