Morning Bond thanks for the coffee confused1
Buddy was awake again at 5am even though I try
to tell him ITS SUNDAY and I do not REALLY have to GET UP
came into the kitchen and all the meal bowls were EMPTY ,mind
you he does not EAT ALL of them alone as even though Tabitha
has her own bowl for the wet food down stairs where Spencer during the week
feeds her ,she likes to "graze" up here as well funnytvprog
Anyway 1/2 a can of wet food and some dry treats ,and Buddy is once more
on his Dad's chair ...
Sad day as I see Senator John McCain after electing to stop the
treatment he was getting for brain cancer has passed away ,I THINK
now for SURE people KNOW when their time is near ,as did Gil when
asking me the week before if I was scared ,yes scared of losing
him and being alone once more after 21 yrs ,like I am sure it does Marge
it keeps hitting me at certain times
Like yesterday I kept going over the last few weeks when he seemed to
be so nasty to me .accusing me and telling the Hospice nurse that I
had a "BOYFRIEND " and hearing my remarks to him in my head
he used to get me SO ANGRY headbanger should I have been
more patient and understanding confused2 Sad

Ah well guess I had better get on and out of this mood
need to go shopper today so see
you two later
MORNING MARGE
Safe trip Vicky to Portbury run run run run

Your right I think about the meal yesterday
Barbara said the same thing too rich with all the
butter they may have used ,the shrimp were crab stuffed
no sauce but loose nothing on the salmon
or pilaf and the broccoli florets were plain
Starting to pass off now though

Guess Bev had things to do then Vicky and places to go
Where's bond today l&l please sir

It could have been a bit rich for your
digestive system , it happens to me
sometimes so I limit my intake of
seafood to shrimp only but can eat
crab cakes OK.
I am alright with most fish if its cooked.
Nothing raw for me unless its smoked
Salmon. Love Lox & Bagels.
I try to not get dishes smothered in
sauces either.
Today is starting the same way it did yesterday,

Hazy and about 72f with at least 75% humidity.
Boy, did I run around yesterday but its all taken
care of. Only one snag at the gas station, I took
both cars in and on the second time my card got
refused so went and saw the cashier, it seems its
method of defeating cheats so if I had used a
different card I would have been OK.
Luckily he worked with me and rang my card up
for $35.00 and it stopped on the dot!
It was about the same for BR.

Got a reminder that I am using more electricity than
most of my neighbors from Edison.
They only look at the kw I am using and know nothing
about my situation.
They provided a mailing address so will write them
a complaining letter.
Most of my neighbors work so are gone all day!
I have newer appliances, the fridge and dishwasher
installed this year! The washing machine has four
water levels and I wash with cold water most of the time.
The dryer is electric and I clean out the vent inside the machine
after every drying cycle and Ian's cleaned out the vent every year.
The dishwasher is only put on when its full.
I do not shower every single day so the water heater is not
over used.
The oven on my stove is broken so no cooking
going on. It must be all the fans I use to keep myself and
the cats cool. I cannot be the only one doing this so tongue
to them!
I cannot wait for the next water bill(it comes quarterly)
to see if my bill is still spiking for the month of August like
last year. I am ready for a fight on that too!
Don't use a lot of natural gas either so that's not a problem.
They only thing left is the TV and computer. The TV is about
three years old and my computer and I do not run
lots of games. I do not have a second TV that works so its just
the one. Peter computer is plugged in but turned off, I get
the WiFi signal from his router.
Its getting so we need to be in Compliance to all these rules
or you get your hand slapped!
One thing about our city is the schools being out for the summer.
they are not using much A/C in the buildings so saving a few Kw there
surely. They are in the middle of construction of a new admin building
and theatre block at our local high school, can you imagine how much
electricity that is going to use!
Enough of my rant for the day. I am actually in a good place right now
mentally. I am a little more focused than I was so going to take advantage
of while I've got the little grey cells working at last.

So it was just something you ate ......that would happen to me, I'd be the one who had the dodgy meal.

Ah that's one of the jobs the builder is doing....one of the bedrooms next to Susan & Matt's bedroom is being made into their en-suite & dressing room, so 5 bedrooms will become 4.

Yes it's Portbury, where they got married, from their bedroom they can see the church, and where Matt grew up.

Right I'm off to telephone Bev....I said I'd phone her when she got home.

Wow FIVE bedrooms Vicky ,that's a lot of sleeping

Sorry to hear of your tum Carole......and was Linda ok?

NO Carole we're not off to Weston any more they don't live there now....they live in Portbury,  we're going to see the house before the builder sets about changing it.     Seeing the house has 5 bedrooms, at the moment, I'm sure they'll find somewhere to stick us. funnytvprog

Ah my cousin Gary played ice hockey Carole,  he moved to Houston, when he was 18 and took it up....not sure who he played for now but I remember Bob saying he was really good.....he was a natural.     I'll have to ask my cousin Linda, she's still in touch with him.

Susan & Matt have a veg garden as well....THOUGH they're getting rid of it, Susan was saying "I'm not pulling carrots etc out of the ground"    though they are keeping the fruit trees.

Oh the avatar is a Monastery we went to when we were in Barcelona.....lovely place, though the Nun's cells were very small

Morning.......Laura is here, it's the start of the footy training.

talktohand I'm like that even with David....we go out for nibbles and I'm "Oh I fancy" then look at the price talktohand "Forget that" though David says "Have what you want" but I hate paying over the odds for something. Going to the chippy isn't a cheap meal as it used to be.....many years ago. confused2 When Bev and I go out for our portion of chips & each we take it in turns to pay (or should do....I say no more) and it costs *the person who's paying* just over £8. and I always pay the tip.....always have.

That is a BIG plate of food though Carole.

Therapy should do the trick Carole

Glad you enjoyed your evening Bond.

Steve came round last night to bring birthday cards for Susan......we're taking them down to her tomorrow. ......oh yes we're off to Susan's tomorrow until Tuesday.

Their mother collects snakes and criters from the swamps and smells them to doctors for the venum
First breakfast and Vicky Ive saved a Belgum bun bit also cornflakes and milk toast and marmalade Coffee tea orange juice and L&L Back later

santa Bond watch the rain drops it
IS INDOORS I presume
Well Linda and I had a lovely meal and chat chattable
but next time its going to be the Olive garden as the
Red Lobster was EXPENSIVE ,guess the price of fish etc
now Trump is putting tariff's on everything that does or does
not move
He said yesterday he thinks if he was impeached everyone
would be VERY POOR ,I have news for HIM some of us
ARE ALREADY POOR headbanger

Linda used her gift certificates and we STILL had to pay something
Guess it could also be me as I am a "CHEAP DATE" and balk at spending
THAT much on a meal confused2
Anyway we both had salmon with crab stuffed shrimp served over rice
Pilaf and with Broccoli ,they do a really good cheddar biscuit that they
serve instead of bread ,I said talktohand as the calories for what we were eating
was high enough with out adding them ,Linda had one and I told her
to take the other 5 home along with 1/2 of her dinner {she said if George
did not eat it by tomorrow SHE would }
Neither decided to have desert ,too full ....
So new avatar is of my plate

Spencer went to the Dr he wants him to see a surgeon as
it could be a pinched nerve in his arm causing his fingers to
tingle and feel numb ,that was what I was afraid it was and if it is
he cannot afford to have the operation as he would have to be off work
and just starting back would not sit well with his boss ,so they might
be able to give him therapy to see if that helps ..... confused2

Anyway time to pack the into bed for the night
speak tomorrow sleep well all

That's one thing our government have just brought in, you aren't allowed to sell or give away any puppy or kitten if they're 6 weeks or under.      Bev got Leo when he was only 4 weeks old, far too young to be removed from his mother.   As you say Margaret certain people shouldn't be anywhere near animals,  obviously the cat had kittens and the owner just got rid of them as soon as possible, wonder if the other kittens have lived?

Well we've just had a down pour.......  later.

Bye Bond.

Poor little kitty didn't stand a chance.
Some people (meaning the lady giving
the kittens away) should not be allowed
near ANY animal!
Dogs and cats should not be given away
until they are finished weaning and on
solid food but I see pictures of people
with week old kittens and puppies all
the time.
I was lucky that my two were given their shots
and neutered before I got them at nearly four
months old. Linda would not let me even donate
money to the charity cat rescue she works with.

Nasty accident early this morning on one of our
main freeways that go to LAX , an SUV and a tandem
gasoline truck (meaning he was also towing a trailer
with extra gas) collided and the gas truck exploded
and both drivers died in their vehicles. From the
helicopter shots it looked like the SUV cut off the tanker
and over turned as the tanker hit him. This has traffic
backed up for miles as they have to make all the traffic behind
them turn around and use the on and off ramps to get off the freeway.
I know that a lot of people missed their flights today.
The other side of the freeway is also closed and being diverted while
the accident is investigated.

On another freeway a truck went off the side and lost its load of peaches!

Fog rolled in last night and is still hanging around but it felt cooler last
night. I guess I am slowly getting my sleep pattern back where it should
be. Its grocery shopper today and topping up both cars tanks.
Think I need to check Big Reds oil level today. Its done really well so far
but I never ignore the gauges on that car.
BB has a never been a problem as I do get her serviced as often as
I should. Peter never did that and waited until something went wrong
which is why I took care of MY car and let him moan about how much
it cost him to get repairs done to BR.
I am still getting male drivers who want to show me how fast their cars are
off the line at the traffic lights but BR still leaves them in the dust!
I never go faster than the speed limit but they still keep racing for the
rest of the block! I laugh that a 76 year old woman in a 33 year old car
can still beat the best they have.
You understand that our main streets here are four lanes wide on each
side of a center median. I would never do this any where else.
I only do it when some young smarty pants needs a lesson ,I do not
go looking for trouble.

I like nice rounded little apple buns.

Play time is over so its back to work here , see you all on the flip side TTFN

That's so sad about the kitten Carole, you're right about the kitten being too young to be given solid food,   what about the kitten's mother?   Was she still around?

a couple of years ago the Government came up with the idea of all kids staying in full time education until they were 18, daft idea because the kids who don't want to be there just turn up when they feel like it....and when they're there they make sure the teachers know they don't want to be there,  disrupting classes for the students who do want to be there,  as I said Dawn had had enough and decided to leave after 20 odd years being a 6th form teacher.

Yes Bond I heard you made such a mess dripping the soup to the car.

Did you have show your pension Bond to prove you were old enough?

Oh yes please to the belguim bun......or dutch ones ...or....swedish ones.

We went to Fosse Park, (it did rain while we were there)  M&S I had a bacon batch.....though I saw Sarah (owner of my hairdressers)  with her young daughter.        Oh Carole I bought another dress.

New avatar is the reat of the hotel suite.....from the bedroom door to the sitting room, with the dining table, sofa etc.

 Vicky likes Belgium BUNS  Shocked
I bet she would like ANYONE'S if they were cute funnytvprog

Sounds like you need to do some "jigging around" tonight
Bond as I can see that "svelte" figure slowly disappearing else

Well buried Barbara's little kitten at the foot of my Mum's Crimson Glory
the other side of the deck railing ,its the only place I have more than a
few INCHES of soil ,she was so upset said she was going to ask my
permission to call him "Spencer" he was black with a few touches of white
cute little thing ,I told her to tell this woman when she calls her that she
may have been feeding him wrong being so young Mad
I dropped her off at her house with a load of left overs {good job she came
otherwise they would have been canned } and then went to mail my sister
a package ,sending my BIL his Navy hat back that he got for Gil when he was on
HMS Argile ,could not bring myself to throw it out ,Gil loved caps as well
must have had well over twenty all told
Just made a sarnie as all I have had today was a  and a narna
Leaving here about 155pm as Linda is NEVER on time that is why I gave her
2pm to 230pm to meet up and its only a 10min ride from MY house
So will chat later

VERY sunny  here in the 70's √

Morning people ,well I got over an hours lay in today
Buddy stayed sleeping on the bed and it was only me
having to use the loo that I got up
Had a telephone at 730am from Barbara ,seems she
had just gotten a very young kitten from this woman
{she had told me about when she helped me with Gil's clothes}
long story short the kitten got sick and passed away this morning
she is SO UPSET as she got it to cheer herself up after losing
her dog Aretha the other month ,she said when she went to
see the kittens this one was clinging to her and she thought
that was a sign he was for her ,she said the woman was feeding it
1/2 & 1/2 milk and a solid food Pate ,I THINK that it was too young
to be eating solid food as its not even 6 weeks or just about and this woman
who apparently was giving these kittens away left right and center
had been feeding it like this for a while
She said it was throwing up bile then it got worse choking etc and passed
today poor little thing
She called a vet and a pet shop that she goes to to get food for her son's
Lizard and sounds like the woman could have done something to it
introducing solids too early confused2
All I know is she is upset as she does not have the $$ to cremate it like
she did her dog ,and has no where to bury him where she lives so asked
me a BIG favor if there was anywhere here I could bury him, well I do not have
a lot of dirt around here but for this tiny thing I will find a spot Sad

Spencer said David posted a picture on FB yesterday on Safari in Africa
I knew he was going thought it was around the 20th ,guess I was right

So Vicky the kids over there do not get out at 16 any more confused2
it was 15 when I left ,is that compulsory ?
18 is when they leave what we call high school here then they go onto to College
if they want or get a job if not

OK so I have a washingmachine in the machine do not have to meet Lin until 2pm
I shall therefore be back later ,enjoy your self Bond as I see your off out run run run

Morning guys......

Well Matthew's only 15  so he'll not be leaving school until he's 18, they all do six form college now Carole,  (the reason Dawn gave up being a sixth form teacher....so many kids don't want to stay on school until they're 16 never mind 18)  so it'll be that and then onto Uni....he's got a couple of ideas where he wants his career to go, but as I said it's early days.    He's good at science,  and Dawn was saying he could get a good job in that field, or in Law which he finds interesting.    But he wont do his science exams until next year.....he could have taken them this year but he decided to just do his 3 maths papers this time.      What ever he does he'll go far.    He's bright.   Laura wants to do music....Jack wants to be a writer,  confused2    though he has written a few stories, Victorian Detective who has a dog....and the dog is good at finding clues.      I still think he should go to acting school he's that good.

Alan, David's brother, every year got a new sports car, he had a Triumph Stag,  Austin Healey Sprite, a MGB GT, and a MGC GT.        Rob's still got his Triumph GC6.....though I have to say I did like Rob's Lotus Elise when he had that.   Sold that to buy a family car when SHE got pregnant with Matthew.

Well finished my book last night....brilliant, keeping it....and I've started the book following that one, which  bought me.

Sorry forgot to say well done to Mathew
Has he any idea what he wants to do after
school ?

I ended up having sliced tomato on a cheddar cheese sarnie
Vicky
So today I had a breakfast drink first thing
Had some chicken nuggets when I was out
then the sarnie ,have to start watching what I am
or am not eating as my weights at a stand still where
as I was getting below my goal just before Gil died
I am not eating chocolate or chips /crisps ,just not eating
like I was before and also have got less stress now
Still seeing the nutritionist (go again in September)
so trying to get down lower to when I saw her last ,plus
that is what got me off the diabetic pills lowering my weight

I am also trying to keep busy ,but find after doing all I need
to do before 1pm I am sitting down taking 40winks after
before Spencer gets home at 515pm as he is home the same time
every day he ,showers then goes to see Carmen before coming home
to eat around 930pm ,have told him I do not think it's good
to be eating so late but he has been doing this for years now
watches tv until around midnight before getting up at 615am
Too big and old ( 53) to say he cannot ,so what can you do confused2

Anyway will catch you all tomorrow have a good night ????

Glad you enjoyed your time with the girls Margaret.

So what did you decide to have then Carole.......we had sausage, mash & veg.

Thanks for the congrats to Matthew Bond,   yes he is good at Maths, the reason he took the exam a year early,  though when we heard that the guy who came up with this years maths exam had said he was worried he'd put them just too hard    it was "Oh no" but Matthew got his A star in a really tough year..... so that is wonderful.     I'm so chuffed for him.

The avatar is the suite we had.....looking into the bedroom.

'ello  Marge ,glad you had a good evening
even though it's not that humid today I feel
like it's muggy so have the a/c on at 72f so it's
throwing out the cool air then shuts itself off
Just looked at my cell weather app ,it's only 75f
and 49% humidity  wow must be ME

Being Thursday both boys are off tomorrow so
Spencer will be staying over carmen's and not coming home
to eat ,also Blaine goes down town Bridgeport on a
Thursday night as they have music on McLevy green
so he will eat out
Watching a flip show on tv I love the way the houses turn out to

Looking forward to meeting up with Linda tomorrow

Now what can I cook for dinner for one

Another sticky morning here and the temps are
heading the same way they did yesterday.

Had a great time with the ladies last night at
Texas Lucy's, chose something else to eat for
a change. I had two soft chicken tacos with beans
and rice.
We went in on a starter of bread
crumbed
mushrooms deep fried and served with a
ranch dressing, Yum.
Someone always brings sweeties for dessert
so we had a couple of Quality Street each.

Next week its CoCo's which Pam and Michael
go to quite often after they close up the shop.
Its a so called "Coffee Shop" but it has a large
menu. I usually have a club sandwich with
sliced chicken and avocado and a side of something
depending what mood I am in.
Its the big shopper today to fill up the fridgefood
I also need to put gas in both cars as the prices seem to rise
as the weekend approaches. They are both just below the half way

mark at the moment.
I think I may need to check big Reds oil level as its not been checked
since April/May.

One of our ladies got in a mess at the DMV and she cannot get an
appointment until November for her vision driving test!
She had just completed her written test yesterday afternoon and was
very anxious even though she passed it. We talked about it while we were
eating and she was a lot calmer when she went home thank goodness.
I told her about taking 3 driving lessons before my last driving test and
how much it helped boost my self confidence about driving.
She has a slight vision problem but not the same one I have.

I told her about my Aunt Betty who was married to a muck-muck
from Triumph Motors, and he wanted her to be able to drive as they
lived out Worcester Way(a long trip on the bus) but he tried to teach her
in his Triumph 3 and she got scared she would crash it so
he got her signed up for driving lessons. Through a series of nasty brainless
instructors she stopped the lessons at least at a dozen driving schools until
she found one that understood her and she finally passed her driving test
after 14 years!!!!
When in Coventry I took both kids to meet their Aunt Chick and she said
that Betty was coming over for coffee and for us to wait outside to see her
arrive. She came haring round the corner in a Mini Cooper!
The look on her face said it all.
It may look insurmountable but If you hang in there its worth the effort.
I don't have to renew my license until 2020 !

Its my meeting tonight as usual. Starting the day with mini shredded wheat
with banana and blue berries and might have a Sultana Scone from the British
shop instead of toast with black current jam.

Been replaying some of my computer hidden object games in the worst of the heat
as it was a good workout for my brain. It gets the little grey cells jumping up
and down. :-D TTFN

Hi, no thank you missy Vicky, there's more enough people to do that
That's one of the things about the lovely Leading Players, they may not be able to do it themselves but they soon tell you when you have missed a bit, I could find you a job at the top of the steps Vicky
Well done Mathew, if you are good at Mathew it covers all areas

Morning Bond ,,,getting ready for a HEATWAVE
this side next week ,its showing 90+ for over three days
in a row which equals a heat wave ,and with schools
also getting ready to return at the same time they are
probably going to be dismissing EARLY each day
I remember David and Chelsea's high school even opening the
windows it was like sitting in a hot oven ,and there were many
students passing out as 90f inside made it 100+ INSIDE

The newer schools being built are air conditioned but not the older
ones which far out number the new ones ....

So leading players again starting wonder what they will be doing

ANOTHER Mary Bond you seem to get a lot ,what with Tall Mary
that you do things for on occasion and now "Mean Mary" the
from OZ I am assuming or is she from here

I should know not to eat frosted mini wheats at night ,been THREE
times  waitingloo since 3am Rolling Eyes Mad

The Cat 5 hurricane heading for Hawaii is scary I have a friend
who lives on the island its heading for ,she is in California right now
getting her son into college said she is scared and wondering if she will
be able to get back home when she
They say its the biggest ever to get THIS CLOSE to them and all are hoping
it takes that left hand turn AWAY from them some so the damage will be less
as it is they could see 20" of rain and 20ft high waves
So far the Atlantic this year has been quiet  our side

Linda's new g/son will be called Mateo Anthony

My daughter needs 20 more hrs to complete her MA  {Medical Assistant}
work then it will be looking for a job

OK so away I go again but I shall be popping in now and again
MORNING LADIES hope your evenings were good

I'm back .always feel better after having my hair done
but need to do something about the brows ,as normally
Fran throws a bit of dye on them as I am going grey
in spots but she forgot today as she was doing another
lady the same time as me ,but that is OK I will sort them
out
Keeps clouding up like it WANTS to but only supposed
to get a shower between 1 and 4pm ,and it keeps passing over
Bridgeport ,so maybe somewhere further inland is getting

Marge you take it easy the heat can drain you so badly ,and we do not want
you getting sick ....enjoy your meal out
I looked at the prices at Red Lobster { no Vicky I do not think you
pick it out like some restaurants do } and everything is on the expensive
side right now ,so mentioned it to Linda via text ,she texts back that
she has two gift certificates that she is going to use and told me
to SHUT UP Shocked after I said that was not good as that was for her and
George at some future date , so we are still going Friday ......

Bond unfortunately this seems to be the New Generation ,so guess you
had better suck it up when you "baby sit" in future ,take a good book
or have a kip easychair

Made Ham steaks for dinner with a jacket spud and a spoonful
of my Zucchini dish I made yesterday ...

Going to relax a while now ,pass the L & L please
run run run

We know its rude but strangers say the
oddest things when they see a new
baby, like which parent it looks like,
or is it adopted. Which is none of
their business anyway!
God Bless them for wanting a family.

I think the heavy stuff has started next door,
lots of noise this morning. but it is not all
the time.
We went the easy way and had Ikea install
a modular kitchen not built ins.
I can't wait to get a peep at it when its finished.

Not feeling 100% this morning just a little
something to do with the prolonged heat and
humidity I guess. It may also have something to
do with sleeping with a fan on all night, it dries
out the eyes and sinuses.
I use a saline nasal spay every morning and eye drops
and take an extra vitamin C and Zinc lozenge.
I am not going to do any heavy work until the temps
go down or the humidity does.

I envy Lorna as she can safely leave all her windows and
doors open as having five small dogs is a good alarm
system. Both my bathroom windows have a catch on them
so I can leave them partly open and the French windows
also have a catch on them but the regular windows are
sliders so need something like a piece of broom handle
so I can at least open them all half way.
Present reading on the weather station is 76f at present,
high expected to be 79f, with humidity level at 68% currently.
Its also partly cloudy nearer the coast.

Its Texas Lucy's tonight for the dinner group so I will have
my usual which is a Pulled pork sandwich with some sweet
potato fries and cold slaw. The others all order enough
so they can take half home for the next day.
I have a large glass of unsweetened Iced Tea to go with
it over plenty of ice.
I actually prefer Iced coffee latte but these BBQ places
don't do them. I can make them at home or buy them
ready made at the grocery store. Starbucks make them.
Time is running away here so I will bid you all TTFN

It's warm out.    Went to the big Palmers.....had a portion of chips and some of David's salad.

Oh Steve's instructions were "And get me a Barcelona football top please"  so of course there I am trying to get on the escalator (at the time I was scared of escalators) at Nue Camp swearing under my breath ....but we got him his shirt.    I thought the stadium was BIG , very big, but oh boy was it grubby.  Mad

Yes you really need more than a day....so much to see.

Almost ready for the off ...
Looks like you stayed with the STARS Vicky

I do not believe in making people like Hitler
wanted to Vicky a race of white blonde children
but In Linda's daughter and her partners case I can
under stand wanting to find a sperm donor who at
least REASSEMBLED both of THEM being a "gay couple"
I wish them well ....
OK we have a mixture of clouds and sun right now
so hoping the showers they are talking about stay away
till AFTER I get back
run run run
