PHEW! good glad its not just ME Marge
not reading a lot these days as I ALWAYS had
one on the go ...like you I just never seemed to
find the time and after being with Gil all day etc
I fell into bed exhausted
I DO have a TV in the bedroom but more often than
not I fell to sleep on it after trying to watch it until
10pm when I used to go bring Gil into the bedroom
He used to always say to me "sleep tight" when I went in around
6pm and I would say I am NOT GOING TO SLEEP .but
a lot of the time I DID for an hour ....

Oh I think my overseas traveling is over with Marge I let my
passport expire so would have to renew that if I wanted to
go ,no for some reason as I said except for having Wendy there
I am really not bothered about returning now

Its true how the heat makes you feel so drained so sit out with Lorna
I can picture you both there ,does she have the same view you do from your
back garden ?
They keep flashing the severe weather warning on TV so I guess I
know where Buddy will be hiding later as soon as he hears the first rumble

Anyway must away Spencer will be home soon he has work tomorrow
from 8 to 4pm so an hour less than he works the rest of the week
Catch you all tomorrow

Once you slip out of reading it's hard to get back into Margaret......have to admit I've always got my head in a book......you'll have to pick up a really interesting one Margaret once you are back into your main bedroom with lots of your lists ticked off.

I haven't read a book since Peter died,
I cannot explain it but just do not feel in the mood
lately.
Too much other stuff to take care of I suppose.
It will be on my list when I do move back into
the main bedroom as there is no TV in there.
There is one installed in the guest bedroom
but we never used it.

Never say never Carole, you cannot see into your
future yet. (I don't think we have a crystal ball
between the 4 of us).
I just put that on here for general information.
Its one of those obscure things one never thinks
about.
Someone is hammering and banging about on the street
below us so it must be a major construction job.
Still not started next door , think they are waiting for all the
cabinets and appliances to arrive.

Dishwasher is on while I sort out a bit of regular washing up
and a washingmachine load.

Lisa and Lana invited us out to a Shakespeare in our local park
but Lorna and I are really feeling the heat after a week of it.
I think we both will sit out on her patio with a nice chilled white
wine this evening. Neither of us has had much sleep this week
also so we just want to veg out.
I think my French neighbor across the street is getting ready for
the finale of the tour in Paris on Sunday as he has his French
flag out already. If the Welshman wins and Froome comes in 3rd
(both from Team Sky) my Union Jack is going out also. :-D

Oh yes the prayer cards with Gil's photo would be good Carole.....something to keep.   I've got a few order of service cards with the friend/relative's photo which I find nice and something to keep.  I know you're not doing a service but prayer cards would be the same....anyway something for you to think about.

Pleased you had a good time with Linda and that you could make it a weekly thing.

Oh yes Melvern Hills.

Not another fire Margaret started by an arsonist......and a fireman died, I do hope they lock him up for a long long time.

We've had a few spots of rain Bond.

Large L n L  please Bond

Had a lovely breakfast with Linda
Cheese and tomato omelette with
WW  toast and home fries and bacon
on the side and coffee
She refused to let me go Dutch with her
or leave the tip ,said this was her way of
doing something for me but
We do plan though on picking up where Ruth
and I left off ,making it a standing date maybe
once a week ..
The weather was beautiful but they just now issued
a severe thunder storm warning from now until
8pm tonight

I doubt very much that I will take any of his remains home
Marge as I am not a avid flyer any more as besides having
Wendy there I have no desire to return now
Maybe if Gil had not gotten ill ...

Tracie spoke to David last night and it seems he is very
upset at not having been here to see him before he was
taken away ,so she suggested maybe making up prayer
cards for The grandkids for them to have as a memento
Will look into that soon

So that's about all my news for now ,so what's cooking else
where ,,Vicky how's the ear

Good afternoon all, there is a nice breeze here now, nice to sit out in the shade reading
I don't know Vicky, we were driving all over to miss the hold ups on the roads, it was south West but I would need a map to spot it off the M50 near Ledbury at Eastnor castle
All in the shadow of the he Malvern hills
Drinks trolly filled and on the roll

When peter passed away and Ian and I brought
his ashes home, I let Ian have a few moments alone
with the urn to say his good byes as he had not
arrived when Peter actually died. Neither had Melanie
so she got time with the urn as well.

Just one word. If you decide to take a small amount of
ashes back to England, you will need a permit as its
still classed as human remains. If its only a very small
amount in a charm or something I think that would be OK.

Lorna did not spread her husbands ashes in Hawaii until
a year later after he was killed so the rest of the family
could be there. Its not something you have to think about
any time soon.

Its foggy out again this morning so humidity levels are at 87%!

There is a savage wild fire that started the day before yesterday.
Its out of control up the mountains near Palm Springs.
Right now theyhave evacuated the whole town of Redding.
Like the fire up near Yosemite, one of the firefighter Bulldozer
operators trying to dig fire lines on steep terrain has lost his life.
Its still over 2 months before we can get the Super Scoopers from
Canada as this state leases them on a yearly basis during wild
fire season which has started early this year.
Wehave a Boeing 707 and a 747 freight plane converted
to carry huge drops of fire retardant along with the water-
dropping helicopters. the object is to get a border around it which means
it is contained but still not out which makes it a little easier to fight.
This fire was started by an arsonist who is under arrest so he now will
be charged with the death.
Most of the fire is burning rough terrain unreachable by foot or
fire engine.
I now understand the real meaning of scorched earth.
I know that we here in our coastal area do not have the same threat
as they do elsewhere.. Thehumidity is keeping the fire danger down
for us.
I am trying to do a few things but taking my time and resting between
chores and drinking lots and lots of fluid. Cats seem to be doing OK
so far. They are still shedding so still brushing them and combing them
every day. At this rate they will have no fur left!
Take it easy everyone . TTFN

Morning Bond so drink up and watch how you go

Its OK Marge I know you mean well ,that is why Spencer
said he HATES texting anyone as it can seem a different
message to what your REALLY trying to say ,know what I mean
the way we say things sometimes comes over differently in the written
word than out of our mouths ...

Right now its D.S.Donna who is a thorn in my side ,she asked
Spencer yesterday what was happening to Gil's ashes so I told
him to tell her they were staying here with me ,straight away
she was on the defense saying at NO TIME did she imagine
any thing different only wondered if we might scatter them say on
the garden being as we both loved it so much,{that might have been
a solution if we were still in our old one ,but over here Gil has had little
to do with it after the very first time helping clear all the weeds etc when
we moved here 5 yrs ago ,so basically I have done it ALL and it does
not seem the same so no I will find a nice urn and keep him here
Spencer said maybe as Gil had said to me one day two weeks ago
that he wanted to go back to England that I might take a trip home
and scatter him there ,but not sure THAT will happen as I have no desire
to any more .....

I still do not know why David wanted to do that Marge only that maybe
he felt the need for closure on seeing his grandad ,but as I said
NOT LIKE THAT or the way he passed as he was not really relaxed
even though the nurse and I tried to close his mouth that was wide
open it would not close I DO have a picture of him and its
something that will haunt me seeing that way so no best to remember
him the way he used to be sitting in his chair

Ok so its still very humid here but at least dry and should be till later
tonight when we could again get more thunderstorms passing over
at least with all the down pours we had the grass is looking green
not burnt as it was getting to be
Meeting Linda at 830am on the seawall at Marnicks so it will be
nice and cool down there

I shall check in when I come back Spencer is going into work
today on his day off being as he was off Mon/Tues and will be
working tomorrow before he and Carmen leave for Puerto Rico
on Sunday for 10 days ,he said a week would have been better
especially with him having no $$ to take but all this was booked
by her in 2017 confused2
Blaine off today

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE

Grief takes people different ways I suppose but
I had a bad experience at my sisters funeral
because some one wanted to be the center of a
attention. I got completely pushed aside as if
I wasn't there. Not allowed to speak in church
or given a rose like Ken and Sarah to lay on
the coffin before it was lowered. So I walked
past them to be the first to put dirt on her coffin.
And walked away and stood way at the back while
they finished their little show.
my one thought was to be there for Sarah.
When Sarah got married, I saw this person again
and longed to tear her off a strip but did not.
I didn't want to ruin Sarah's day by having a brawl
at her reception.
There are codes of conduct at these events and should
not be used as an excuse to get a sucker punch in
at someone like a little kid because you don't like them.
Its very childish and immature.
It was very inappropriate of David to call the Mortuary
to try and delay things without your permission.
I think that is what got to me the most.
I will read slower the next time before I play the avenging
angel. XXX

talktohand  Easy my "enforcer "
Marge maybe I did not explain it right
it was David who wanted to go see his Granddad
maybe he is not aware that when cremated the funeral homes
do not embalm the bodies ,WHY he wants to see him I do
not know I know he loved his grandad as he does me

As to him and Chelsea starting the time of his passing
this has been going on for a LONG time ,starting when Chelsea
alienated herself from her mom for things she feels she was
wronged on by her mom and David has been angry with his sister
since then ...
Unfortunately David is a wonderful grandson but is also upset
at his mom for relocating to Florida after our house went under water
and we came back  here to live with Spencer 5 yrs ago ,but she has ALWAYS
wanted to go back there to live he was away at college and 23 yrs old so
was not a little boy being abandoned confused2
As my sister says we seem to have a dysfunctional family BOTH sides
of the "pond" as she has not seen HER daughter in years and her son who suffers
supposedly from PSTD ,has now also fallen out with her and my BIL
over a dog he bought ,his problem he will not seek out or take advantage
of the help he could be getting for that ......

I appreciate all your advise and love

I believe the dog thing was to spare the dogs
walking on hot asphalt as their pads might get burnt.
If you take water with you and have some shade to rest
the dog in I think that is enough.

Carole, who are these screwy people who want to see a
dead body?
I immediately thought that they wanted to photograph the body
to remember them by, which I think is goulish but know it is done
by idiots who are creepy to begin with. Imagine putting that on
the internet!
You or I would never think of doing that.

As for Chelsea and David, they should be ashamed of themselves!
its not about them! Its their grandpa and David should have used a little
of that huge brain of his that its not appropriate to start sibling rivalry on
his passing.
Where is Tracie in all this, they are her kids. Tell her what happened,
David missed the class about etiquette.

Do not waste your breath trying to explain it to those people who do not
understand that you nursed him and cared for him all these years and not
one suggested coming to see him while he was alive.
You are worn out and exhausted and all they want is a squabble.
How selfish can they get!

You are doing what you want to do and that is all that matters.
If you need an enforcer I am volunteering!

VICKY duck it was ONLY POSTED
on FB a friend of mine Maggie Scott of Coventry
posted it that she must have found somewhere
saying the United Kingdom was warning pet owners
about walking their pets in the heat you have ......PHEW !
has she calmed down now Marge confused2

Well I have another thing now Dave text me asking if
he could go SEE GIL before he was cremated ,but I told him
he was being done either today or tomorrow ,but apparently
he called the Funeral home and they said they need my permission
for him to do that...
I told Dave I thought he was already being cremated and did not want
to hold up the process as I need the death certificate etc
Anyway I called Luke at the home and he said #1 he was scheduled
for either today or Friday # 2 because they were not "contracted" to
have any viewing it would incur extra charges and # 3 they do not embalm
them so please tell me what Gil would be starting to look like now after
4 days ,not something I would want to remember Gil by confused2

Sent all this to Dave he has yet to get back to me ....WHAT is it with MY FAMILY

Chelsea put something on face book that made her mom crying as
it was so sweet what she said about Gil ,David it seems then wrote some thing NASTY
to her making reference to how she has been acting childish all these years and
has made the situation between her and him 100% WORSE headbanger

I have told Tracie even though I think Dave was wrong I will not get in the
middle as if I say something to HIM I will ALIENATE BOTH him AND Chelsea
so I am staying NEUTRAL....

Your SO right Marge on the OTHER hand I now have Gil's daughter Donna
asking questions like whats happening to his ashes when AGAIN is there
going to be a memorial service {even though Spencer has told her TWICE
already } they could drive a body

Glad you sorted your crappc Marge ...

I had to call Chase fraud division as when I tried to pay the Telegraph
it was refused as they thought someone had access to my card ,so had to
clear THAT up before it would go through

On THAT note ♪ I am going to sit with another drink and maybe one of Vicky's
cheese sarnies and CHILL OUT till its time to make dinner ...see ya xx

Well what are we supposed to do with Benjie when he wants to go for a walk.....he doesn't, never has, gone in the garden.....will only go to the loo on a walk, though he's only going for a very short walk at the moment.  with the heat.   "Cross your legs Benjie and wait until after five"  poor love that's a long time to wait from 7:30 (his first walk)  until 5pm.     Mad      Though we get Benjie to wait until around 8pm   before he has his last walk of the day....it's usually cooler THEN ....so much for "After 5pm"  FB.  headbanger .......responsible dog owners know what's best for THEIR dogs.   Now when FB gives advice such as "Be sure your dog can't get into your kitchen bin" now THAT'S good advice....and if they ever do to the vet straight away,  but when they go on about when NOT to walk your dog I could scream.....they don't know the dogs, their dog most likely goes to the loo in their garden but if you've got a dog that doesn't....what then, can they tell me what to do THEN?        What do dog walkers do when their job is to take a dog or dogs for walks during the day?    confused2

Yes cheese upsets my tum......as does strawberries or blackberries.       you can have my cheese sarnie though.

Oh why oh why do idiots start fires.....hope they throw the book at them.

I'll look out for Gil's announcement Carole.

Just got my computer back after dealing with a
pfishing attack yesterday. It seems someone got
hold of one of Peters old passwords trying to
infiltrate our computers. Ian worked on changing
any passwords that needed changing and all seems
to be well so far. It seems its not safe to hang onto
passwords too long.
If your wondering why I am up so early, I am watching
the Tour de France again. Coverage starts at 5am our time.
Plus I got out my iPad and found it had no internet connection
so just went through the router and desk computer and rebooted
them both. All is well at the moment.

Carole ,I found that taking the high ground on stuff like dealing with
relatives is the best way to go. You did what was required of you at
this time. Don't take any notice of the chaos other people stir up.
Some have very queer ideas about how a death in the family should
be handled. You do as you see fit.

Fog rolled in really thick last night here along the coast,Its still here.
We are expecting the last record breaking heat today and then its
supposed to settle into the low 80s next week.
Not only is the fire near Yosemite still burning but we have another one out
Palm Springs way that is burning very fast also. This one they have a
suspect already arrested on suspicion of starting that fire.
I think its time for another mug of TTFN

I know but Spencer has opened
Pandora's box as now Donna keeps texting
him saying she wanted to see her Dad's body but
would rather remember him as he was in her head
{how did she think she would do THAT as he will be
cremated either today or tomorrow they told me and
she is STILL in Portugal } wanted to know what I was
doing with his ashes and was I planning a memorial service
what part did she not understand so services confused2
Gil I know would be angry as he kept telling
me to LEAVE well alone and not try to contact Donna any more
after the last episode ...
Yes I hope my work is done Vicky ....

I see a warning on FB to the UK about walking your dogs
between 10am and 5pm as they have issued a HEAT WARNING
no end in sight either it seems headbanger
OK YOU eat the Apple turn over I WILL EAT your cheese sarnie
What happens when you eat cheese then talktohand do we want
to know

Be back have to return a couple of items that I bought for Spencer
to go away with run run run run

Cost to put the announcement in the Coventry paper is from £31 to £85 Carole.

As to Donna.....you would have felt guilty if you hadn't told her....also Zara ....so it's done, you've done your duty to Gil, now relax, it's done, they know.

Come and have an apple turnover .....and cool L&L. I'm fancying a cheese sarnie. I can't eat cheese. confused2

umm I like apple turnovers
morning everyone...off to Wales
I see then Bond ,you seem never to be home of late

Well a bit of news ,Spencer thought we should notify
Gil's daughter D.S. Donna {Detective Sargent } but we have
not spoken in almost 18 mths after her and I had words
over her being over here on holiday and not bothering to
pick up a telephone to call her dad ,I had said at that time
"don't expect me to tell you when something happens to your dad"
to which she said a few choice words saying I would not be so cruel
talktohand  she does not know me as hurting him made ME
Anyway he called her cell phone but long story short seems the
daughter Maille has her mothers old phone and answered in PORTUGAL
where they are again on holiday ,she did not tell Spencer who she was
only that Donna was not there but then after Spencer said he was calling to say
dad was gone he got a call back from her ....
Tracie is not happy he called her ,anyway seems she text him last
night saying she had also located ZARA Gil's other daughter whom we
had lost contact with and the last time we had asked Donna she could not
locate her whereabouts even though she was in the police force which
saddened him
But all of a sudden she found her in the town Donna works in, Birmingham
and has told her ....too bad this did not happen while he was alive Rolling Eyes

OK weather today is going to be a mixture HUMID showers sun and
a thunderstorm later

Going to call the Coventry Telegraph today to see how much it will cost
to put a notice in back there ,over here it goes in Friday
See new Avatar

Morning Marge ...Vicky are you doing drink duty then today
hows the ear BTW
I shall be back

Morning......and Benjie's gone to the groomers,  he's still got a scab over his cut so we had to warn them, but he is fine so nothing to worry about.

That was lovely of Fran Carole.

Have a lovely day Bond.

Went to do the food shopper shopping after we'd dropped Benjie off.....so the fridgefood is all stocked up, lots of cool drinks.....and apple turnover.

Seems like the WHOLE world has gone MAD
with this heat .....
The temp right now here Marge is 78f feels like 83f
but its the humidity that is a killer Humidity 83% Dew
point is at 72% and as you and I are aware anything over
50% is NASTY

Well went and got my hair done Fran was shocked as I
had not gotten around to telling her ,before I left she had
gotten a doz red roses and white Shasta daisy with a sympathy
card from her and her staff .....

Just penned off to our Bridgeport paper an announcement
to see how MUCH it will cost as its ABSOLUTELY ridiculous
now what they charge
$75 for doing it and for the first LINE of 40 letters then its $8.90
for EACH ADDITIONAL  LINE of 40 letters ...to put a picture of him is an extra
$30
But as Tracie said we really have not spent THAT much on the funeral
no service etc so this will make up for it .....

Marge once I have sorted   things I will certainly give you a telephone

Well onward and upward I am beginning to HATE this phone run run run

It's going to be another record for our hot weather tomorrow & Friday Margaret.....gone on for 7 weeks.

Hope the    is sorted Margaret.

Benjie is flopping all over the place, though tomorrow he goes to the groomers so he'll feel much cooler.

We went to big palmers first and it was packed, not a table to be had so we  :driver:  to the little palmers and that was almost empty......I had a side salad BUT I also had a yummy trifle.

Lovely that Carole can turn to you as well Margaret.....just a telephone call away.

Everything you are experiencing is normal Carole.
Wish I could be there in person for you but you know
I am just an email or phone call away.

If I disappear at some point, please do not think there is
anything wrong with me, its my computer.
I awoke to a threatening email this morning sent to
Peters computer which was passed onto me automatically.
Its one I have heard about so not taken in by it.
I let Ian know ASAP but he is out with friends so have to
wait until he gets home to look at it.
I did not open anything, the letter was right there posted
with my regular email. Its to a certain password but it
might lead to others.
Peters computer is closed down but I get his email sent to me.

Its supposed to be the hottest day tomorrow, so far its
80f at nearly 10 am today. High was to be 86f but with the humidity
level at 71% its more likely to feel like 90f or higher.
I will be throwing some clothes on in a minute to roll down the
blinds out back.
I don't think I will be going out to dinner tonight as its much too
hot to enjoy a proper meal.
Cats have plenty of water but are eating lightly also, mainly they
are sleeping in the coolest places they can find. I think I will
do the same. TTFN

New Avatar Gil when we first got back together
this was taken on the seawall in 1996

Good morning its me ...I have to say
since Gil passed my sleep has been better
I think it was being alert basically all night
and woken up two or three times was starting
to affect me ...
Going to be a different day weather wise here today
thunderstorms etc and VERY HUMID we have at 6am
76f but it comes with 73% dew point making it feel
NASTY ...

Where those fires are in Greece Little Linda was JUST THERE
in fact her BIL lives in the town you have to pass through
to get to the town that practically burned to the ground
near Athens ,she is being a true friend as well has called me
three times checking on me since hearing of Gil's death
and is taking me out Friday morning .....so between the
support from my mates here and her I am doing good
had a little Sad this morning laying in bed thinking that he
is no longer with me now only in spirit ,your mind after being with
someone so long {or knowing someone SO MANY year as this
Aug I would have known Gil 61 years } you tend, as I know Marge
can attest drift back over the many memories you have ,some of
my better ones where when we first met back then  so found myself walking
down memory lane  as well as when we found each other again in 1995
OK better get going lads return to work today and I see Fran
Back later

Good evening all that is a lovely photo Carole, film star looks.
Another hot day bit not too bad in the shade, our outside car temp was 31 its does n to 21now
Carole that was the sort of things I was getting at, people have different thoughts on what they think is wanted, Ive been to a couple and I think it wouldn't of been what the person would of wanted before their death
Me and mrs b have it sorted, it was going to be the ashes off the bridge over the river on the A5 but she thought a gust of wind and she would be on the wind screen of a lorry going to Glasgow
So its now in the he bluebells woods at Mancetter
I think it's cool drinks time

Its getting hotter here, we are at 75f already at 8:25am!
High locally is expected to be 84f today going even higher
tomorrow. Inland it will be going into the 90s and 100s!
Humidity at present is 82% and no breeze to speak off.
Better wear a hat and shades today as this extreme heat
wave is expected to last until Thursday.

There are lots of warning out as it brings the fire danger to
the worst level we have had in years.
The Thompson fire which has been burning up near Yosemite
for a week now shows no sign of slowing down as many of the trees
up there have been weakened or have died of bark beetle infestation.

The usual suspects had a left overs dinner last night over at Lorna's.
She had cooked a pork roast for the meal last week end and with all
the other left overs from that meal there was still enough to feed 6
and bring enough home for me to make pork sandwiches today.
It was nice to sit outside where is was much cooler than in the houses.

This morning I have an appointment for lab works at the Dr. office.
Real appointment is next week, Today I have to be there for 10am.
Melanie has an appointment tomorrow at San Francisco University
for a follow up for her surgery and it right now she seems the best
she has been in a long time health wise.
Jim cannot drive her there so a friend is taking her while Jim Doggy sits
at their house.
I don't remember if I told you her 12 step chapter had a spaghetti fund
raiser for her and gave her $3,000! That takes a little of the strain off
her for the next couple of months.
Ian is working on another audio book at the moment so the money stream
has not totally dried up.
I missed my episode of Endevour (?) on Sunday so took a chance and went online
on the Masterpiece Theater site and signed in and watched the episode I had
missed at my computer, It did mean that I was watching it until 1am though!
There is no one next door for now so not disturbing anyone.

Carole, I know you will be OK. Its the old war time saying "Keep calm and carry on"
time for the next few weeks. Once things have calmed down a little give yourself
permission to relax, go sit in your lovely garden or sit, read a book if only for an hour.

Take a time out more often at least once a day. The temptation is to work harder
to not let stuff invade your mind but its going to be with you for a while anyway.
Make lists if you have to so you are not keeping it in your brain.

You have reached the end of this mission like I reached the end of mine.
Give yourself some space to absorb it all. My head felt like a Rubic's Cube
which was the was it should be, all colors lined up and then it was like somebody
came and shook it all up so I have slowly been putting the puzzle back the way I
want it to be again.
Got to dash as I need to make my list of medications which is a test to see how
good or bad your memory is . They have the list in my chart so no other reason
to ask for it. TTFN

Lovely photo Carole.......I do smile on seeing it.  the day I kept waiting to be arrested taken photos of Gil and all around me we had police officers, detectives etc.  saying "Hello" as though I was supposed to be there....I kept waiting for the "Excuse me Madam  but why are you taking photos?"  .....I did say to Gil  "I'm Vicky" he nodded and smiled and said "Yes I know"  confused2  of course he did, sent by his wife to "Get some photos of Gilly"

Yes David's Dad went on for days with the death rattle,  in the end he was alone when he died, which upset me though David said we couldn't just stay there day after day.

Yes we are thinking about you Carole.....glad the boys are with you.

I am here ,and thank you all for your love and support

Think I am still in shock as I cannot believe Gil has gone
I knew things were going down hill with him unable to eat or drink
only a few teaspoons and taking to his bed as in the past he ALWAYS
wanted to get up and sit in his chair ,but made no attempt this last two weeks

I woke at 230am hearing him making the noise he did when he was
hurting so got up and gave him a morphine dose ,lay back down but he started
again around 4am so I got up and now he sounded like he was rattling
in his throat and chest so I changed his diaper and went and called
Hospice at 445am speaking to the on call nurse who said to give him another
dose of morphine and put a pill under his tongue that calms them down as
I had held the phone to him so she could hear the sound and she said it
sounded like the flem ,but I think it was the death rattle as after giving
him the dose and trying to open his mouth to get the pill under his
tongue ,his breathing became more erratic as well as the noise and it was
almost like he kept trying to put his head up to clear his throat ,then he stopped
and when I called out to him and shook his shoulders he just let out this small
breath and that was it ,I had already woke Blaine up at 4am to help him
move him higher on the bed as he kept sliding down ,so ran into him
and he confirmed his dad was gone crying
then he went to wake Spencer

The Hospice nurse who came before 6am to pronounce him gone said
that sometimes people can go for DAYS making that rattle ,so I am
GLAD Gil went so fast
Tracie said she thought he would as I had told her he was not eating or drinking
any more ...

Only having him cremated no memorial or anything he did not want that
plus no one here knew Gil really as he had no close mates like at home
Tracie wants some of his ashes so asked the funeral home to split them
for me
He is hurting no more and really had no quality of life these last couple of years

His cousin in the   told me that he died on who Gil called his "brother"
Elijah's birthday {that was REALLY Gil's uncle, but being raised by his grandad
believing he was his grandads SON he called them all brothers and sisters,all 9 of them}

OK enough I have many things to take care of but will be back in when I can
Thanks Marge I will be in touch

Hi Bond....... yes it's pretty hot out there, yesterday was 87f here.    It was cool sitting in the cinema though......lovely.

I liked Mamma Mia Again.....not as good as the first one but I'd go and see it again,   though I had to shake my head when    said  half way though the film "Oh she didn't know who the father was....SHE'D SLEPT WITH ALL THREE"    I whispered   "Didn't you realise that from the first film?"   "No" she said "I must of missed that"   headbanger    THEN towards the end she came out with "Where does Lily James fit in?"  I whispered "She's the young Donna"   I could see her puzzled look and then when we once again went back in time she said "You're right I never realised that"     she does love Lily James, I think that's the only reason she went to see the film.    Anyway it's not as good as the first one,  and apart from Lily James, Meryl Streep (and yes she is in it....I give nothing away) and I suppose  Cher (couldn't they cast someone else.....she could barely open her mouth she's had that many face lifts?)  the singing wasn't that brill but hey they're not in it for their singing but I liked the film.

Those days are gone for us now Bond.....looking after the grandkids.       Jack & Lily just trot around the corner to their other Nanna.......Matthew & Laura are old enough to look after themselves.

Thinking of you Carole.
