Here I am ...after losing it about 30mins
ago ,Gil has been on and on about me having
a boyfriend and keeps bringing it up and even
told Corine as I said and this morning I heard
him trying to tell DeDe although I do not think he
could understand what he was on about, then keeps
uncovering himself and said he wants to go into
the hospital ,anyway I am afraid I went bezerk there
for a few mins pounding the bed with my fists and had a cry
talktohand and Vicky before you say its not Gil
I KNOW that but it hurts never the less and a persons
sanity can only take SO MUCH before it SNAPS headbanger

Had a text form Liz she has been confirmed with a diagnoses of
adenocarcinoma of the lung and awaits to see what
treatment they can do for her Mad

Bond we have a program over here called Flea Market Flip
two couples are given X amount of money to seek out three
or four items that they have to transform into salable items
some of the "junk" they make into things and the $$ the sell them for
are CRAZY like a rain barrel made into a coffee bar etc
Gil redid an old three seater garden wrought iron wooded slate
seat ,we brought it with us and its under one of the trees now
He sanded everything down first took out the broken slates and replaced
them then painted the iron parts a racing green then stained the slates
it looked great ...so you going to show us your finished product ?

Marge SO glad your all made up and look at you spending Xmas
in the home land ,my last was Xmas of 1966

Ok have to get going its "moving the bed " time when the lads
get home so we have to get Gil up into his wheel chair while
they do it

Have a great evening one and all

Ive just come in Im getting through my second book in two weeks
I'll get the drinks

I saw on FB a lady had taken an old
metal white garden chair and sprayed
it matt black and used it as a plant stand!
I have a couple of cheap dining chairs
made of wicker that I could do something
similar with, they were used in the house
with the breakfast bistro table but got a
bit discolored and had an oily spot where
Peter used to pull it out to sit down.

They are not in bad shape overall and if
were painted would make a nice accent
with a plant on each.
They had no arms so as Peter got more unsteady
I traded them for Pier One metal wicker look
alike chairs that had arms on them.

Ian and I had a talk yesterday and it seems he
didn't think before he opened his mouth and said what
he said. He said that every time he comes here he wants
to make a big dent in things that need to be done that
I cannot do on my own. I said that was the problem.

We are always at cross purposes. He talked about having
Rebecca come with him next time so she can do stuff
as well. He wants to hit the master bedroom and pull
everything out and only put back what I need.
I said I have a ruby ear stud lost on the carpet in there
and don't want to tear the whole room up any way.

He cannot plan when to come so I will not
know until about four weeks before he plans on coming.
The only thing we did agree on was that I am going to spend
Xmas with them this year! It will only be for about 10 days
not like nearly 3 weeks like I did that last time.
I had better get my booking in now for the flights.
I think I can manage without his coming here if he does not
have to. We parted friends. I can go and visit Melanie anytime
and am still waiting for the outcome of Jims court hearing.
It was 105f where she lives and there is choking smoke
from a wild fire near Yosemite national park. Its several miles
away but the wind is taking the smoke over where she lives.
She cannot have the swamp cooler on so is depending on a
window A/C unit to keep her and the animals cool.

The bears come down from the foothills in weather like this
to scrounge for food and if they find a pool to cool off in so
much the better. (the fruit tree crops are just ripe now)
Usually they are tranquilized and taken back to the forest
on the mountain side. They can get mountain lions and bobcats
also.
The bees are a hybrid of the Brazilian Killer bees with our local
wild bees, The folks were aware of bee activity for some days
before they swarmed on the lady and they are known to be
aggressive. Here you play by natures game not humans.
We are all respectful of even Coyotes as they are protected
also.
Its getting hotter here, its 10:30am and its already 80f!
(feels like 84f!) so who knows where it will top out at today.
I have my meeting tonight so will do what I can during the
morning hours and rest in the heat of the day(now I know
why other cultures with this kind of heat take siesta after
lunch).

Gosh Bond who been watching the programme about Drew Pritchard the Antique dealer.....that's what he gets this guy to do....cut down old park benches, taking out the rotten slats etc then selling them in his London shop or online.        There you go another way of making money.   confused2

I've been in the garden ...... book is ok.

As I was saying, Im spending more time outdoors working reading or just sitting
One project is a iron and timber bench, it was a three, /four seater but I he wooden slats
Had rotten bits so Ive chopped it down to a single seater and saved it from the tip the nuts and bolts were rusty so I had to haksaw those off so the only thing it will of cost me is a new set of nuts and bolts
Back later after a trip to Bedworth

Morning Vicky {btw kept meaning to say
your planters /pots are very pretty}

Yes Spencer says I "worry" too much
guess it must be me I am starting to feel a tad
overwhelmed as things progress ,I just KNOW
I am going to lose it at the start when anything
happens to Gil as Barb was trying to comfort me
yesterday after Corine said we had to have the h/bed
I started to feel the tears welling up and Barb must have
seen my face Sad  but I also know I will pull myself up by my
boot straps and get on with what I need to do when that time
comes as I have so many times in my past Shocked

Just crushed ALL Gil's pills and gave them him mixed with
apple sauce ...

One thing I was just watching Marge a story about a poor woman
in Orange County CA who was attacked by THOUSANDS of those
killer bees ,luckily a neighbor saw it all and called 911 they
said she was covered all over her face body etc ,but was not moving
and he kept yelling her to RUN ....they said she is very lucky and
recovering though Mad

OK so where is Bond again he has been "sparse " of late nono
first in in the Am and last thing at night ,guess he must have
OTHER things keeping him busy

I remember my Nan telling me about the hot summers Vicky
back in the '40's I know they were not around when I met
Gil in '57 or the '60's

Alright have a washingbasket washingmachine  waiting on the Aid
back later run

Morning guys......yes it's going to be another hot one. Though looking back you always think the summer months were always hot when we were young. But we've not had this sort of weather for.....well I just can't think when.

David goes mad at the way I when I'm posting "That's not English" he'll say....hey I'm not writing an essay for school but put it down as I'd be speaking. Smile

Glad Spencer got things sorted for you Carole. Pleased that Brittany came to see you and had a natter......as for Chelsea Mad

Hi Bond.

Ear etc still so so....

Morning Bond .....do you ever remember
the having such a LONG run of good
weather sunny sunny confused2
Going to be less humid today but we have BIG changes
coming starting from Sunday night as looking at the
weather forecast ALL of next week is going to be in
the 80's but with EVERY SINGLE DAY
talktohand not that MY garden will be complaining
anyway have to see how it all pans out...

Got a call from where Hospice gets all their equipment
from they will be bringing the hospital bed between 10am and 5pm
Friday ,and taking back the brand new wheel chair that
we ordered thinking Barb and I could get him out on the
deck to sit for a hour ,he has never been in it ,so taking it back
to give me some room in the spare bedroom that is basically
a storage place right now Rolling Eyes

Why I LOVE ♥️ my youngest son ,with in minutes of him
coming home he had taken the large 60" TV out of that
room and its now in my kitchen waiting on Barb's 18 yr
old son to pick up Friday as Spencer said he could have it
as it needs some work {not a lot but Spencer wanted the
next size up and did not want to waste $$ repairing this one }
Will post a avatar in a minute of it
He also said don't worry Blaine and me will sort the bedroom
they are taking out one dresser today and a book case and moving my bed
over so there should be enough room for the hospital bed be it
a bit tight ...
My head was going around thinking HOW was I going to do this
but he took charge ..
Spencer's daughter Brittany came over last night as well
and she was shocked at whats happening to her grandad and sat
talking to me up here a while before going down stairs to cut
Spencer's hair ,she is now a Dental Assistant or training to be one
but after going to hairdressers school and working so long in
a salon decided she wanted something not so taxing on the legs
being on your feet all day
Have not spoken or heard from Chelsea again in months confused2

Anyway I slept last night in a fashion on a space much smaller
than I normally do as the nurse had propped pillows up along side
Gil that took inches off MY SPACE ,he was quiet at least but I had
to get up at midnight to change him as he is not even telling me
he needs to go any more being so drugged Shocked

So we shall see what DeDe the male Aid does when he comes
I hope he is able to give him a good washing as Barb could not yesterday
only his face hands arms chest as he could not turn over
for her to wash his back etc and down below and I do not want him stinking Sad
Being as it takes two now I am going to see if they can maybe get Dede
here WITH Barb the days she is here to at least get him cleaned up
have to call Corine to ask

Marge hope you had good words with Ian ,ALL sons LOVE their Moms
so I do not think its THAT ,as Vicky said it could be he is trying to
keep the peace with his wife etc
Vicky hope the ear is progressing I will be back

Oh gosh I'm so sorry about Ian upsetting you Margaret,  *some wives* do seem to expect their husbands to fall in with what ever the wives side of the family are doing, they just don't seem to realise the husband also has a family on his side who he should give sometime to also.

I hope you sort things out Carole.

MARGE there was a news clip this morning of a big black bear splashing about in a outdoor pool in LA, he was having a lovely time all on film from a up stairs window, he was caught and then let out in the woods
Now that got me mixed up I pictured you in lemon, scoop neck, tight but red and black with a slit sounds good

Well now I want to HOWLLLL crying

Corine came over after I got back from the store
as if I do not go while Barb is here ,I am stuck
after discussing Gil and his swallowing and how
he went down n the floor last night ,she is INSISTING
we have a hospital bed ,now I have resisted this as
there REALLY is NO PLACE for one ,as even if I made
room in the spare bedroom where we store all sorts
Gil's wheel chair bath chair his supplies etc that would mean
I would be 1/2 awake listening during the night ,so she said if we remove
one of our dressers and a book case that right now keeps all his things
on the Aids need to wash him etc ,we should be able to get the bed in
here with our queen size bed be it a bit of a tight squeeze
as soon as she said it Gil is saying NO NO NO to a hospital bed
but she said it is dangerous for him as now he is not getting out of bed
to eat sitting in his chair ,the way he is laying propped up she told
him in plain English he will die a horrible death if he chokes as I
can no longer get him up on my own and like your both saying it
takes TWO to get him up,she is also saying being as he has not
had a BM movement since early last Saturday morning he has to have
a suppository tomorrow morning and when the Aid comes he will get him
on the commode and see if he goes ,AGAIN though he is hardly eating
so whats he going to pass confused2

Corine was tossing him around and he was YELLING as he was hurting
as she had me and Barb help her put a flat sheet under him
so he can be lifted up towards the top of the bed like they do
in the hospital
I hear what your saying Marge about a bedpan but the way he cannot
lift his legs to get his butt up on one I cannot see how that would happen
Dreading if he does a number two in the diaper and she says no more briefs
like he has been wearing ,he has to have the "tabs" like they had him in
at the home
Again though that is why she said a hospital bed will be easier for everyone
concerned

Get this guess its the pain meds talking ..... he told Corine I have a
BOYFRIEND and went out with him last night ,She asked him so are
you jealous and did he not want me to be happy ,he said NO Shocked
I would just LOVE to know when I have the TIME

Marge I hope you sort it out with Ian ,wish I could invite you here
maybe one day @ good job though you have your friends

Corine also asked if I wanted the Hospice social worker Dabby to come
see me I said NO ,I do not need someone telling me Gil does not know
what he is saying and how much he loves me ,that is not the support
I need
Barb said she is here for me and Corine said if I need help
sorting the furniture she will come as she lives close by ,THAT
is what I call support as she is only his hospice RN nurse

Anyway have to talk to my boys when they get home we have things to sort

LOVE you ALL

LOVE the sounds of your dress Vicky

Tell Bond the Normal when he returns better make mine a DOUBLE

Not sure how I feel this morning after
messaging Ian that I don't expect him to come
over this year, After listening to his lame excuses
I get the picture.
I also told him that I had wanted to spend Xmas
with him and Rebecca but I feel that if I brought
it up I would get more lame excuses. Its always
about his In-Laws.
I am not looking forward to spending another
Xmas with Melanie yet as I have no idea how
things are going to end up there.

I shed a few tears about it last night but see the
wisdom of staying at home (I am a realist )
I don't mind being on my own, I have my
neighbors and dining group to celebrate with
anyway.
Ian is supposed to call me later today to talk
about finances so you can guess what we will
talk about the most.
Same weather pattern here , dull in the mornings
and sunny in the afternoon temp range for us
locally will be between 77f and 80f with at least
65% humidity. There is still unstable air over
the deserts and mountains so the possibility of
sudden thunderstorms exist and flash floods to
follow in those areas.

Carole, try to take it one day at a time, some days
it will be a minute at a time or one hour at a time.
Like the pills, Peters nurses crushed his up in apple
sauce when his swallow reflexes started to fail.
Do you think that Gil could use a bed pan instead of
having him get out of bed when you are alone with him?
Its getting to the stage when it takes two of you to
get him to the commode. He might not like it and fight
you but its for his safety and yours.
What will you do if he makes you fall and you get really
injured? Who will take care of you?
I do worry so for you.
Good day to Vicky and Bond hope your day went well.
Mine is just beginning here so TTFN

Yes but at times in the evening or during the night you're needing someone to help with Gil getting out of bed, onto the commode, you can't do it all Carole you're going to be ill.

Ear is about the same Carole.....but it's early days.  Had drops last night and then this morning.

Finished my book.....brilliant, loved it.....and keeping, had a problem finding a couple of books which needn't be in the bookcase     "HUSBAND"       going to start to read "Thanks For The Memories"  by Cecelia Ahern.   it's a book Susan gave me saying it's good. Though I've tried to read one of hers years ago and found it boring.....Sooo I might change my mind.

Yes Bond with a slit up one side.

Morning......it's grey out there,  but not cold.

The young football guys who were rescued from the cave are giving their first interview, meeting the press.          They've left hospital about an hour ago......so they'll all be at their homes pretty soon, after the press interview.    That'll be wonderful......something we thought might never happen.

No no Carole it was hard (painful) for me to get into this dress because I can't raise my right arm very well,  as I told you all my shoulders, chest and back are painful due, we think, to the ear problem ....once that clears up I'll be able to get out of my dress without any problem.      It was just yesterday I thought I'd get it on and then not be able to get it off.....though it was fine, it was slightly painful but I managed.    Anyway there was this guy walking up and down going   run run  left right run run  left right....so he might of helped me.     Hey it's not the first time I've been stuck in a dress thinking  "I'll have to get help"  one occasion I ended up almost upside down to get the dress off.....oh but it did look nice on.....and yes I bought it.  Smile

Oh Bond it's red & black.  Smile

talktohand   Though hey  when you think of poor Gil and what he's going through.....I've nothing to moan about.

Oh and I know not about the potato Carole ......I never got to eat any jacket potatoes.    Smile

Hope your changing before
you go then Bond as cute as your Major
outfit is I don't think its appropriate for
an end of school session funnytvprog

Ok enough of that ,if I thought the last
couple of days was bad last night after Spencer
got home was WORSE ,he said he was going out
but would be right back ,Gil has been getting Morphine
every three hours plus the Tramadol and what I call
a "chill" pill to calm him
He said he needed to pee so went to get him up
out of bed for the commode ,and he started to
go down ,he is like a ton of bricks when like that
and even worse with the Morphine etc and I could not
hold him so down he slid ending up on the floor where
he wet his diaper ,that of course was not the worse thing
as how was I going to get him back onto the bed
telephone Spencer WHERE ARE YOU ,any way seems
he had gone to see Carmen and said he would be here in 5mins
now she doesn't live THAT far away its longer than 5 mins
but he must have made it in less than 10 said if he had gotten a ticket
for speeding they would have had to have caught him back here at the house
to give it him ,Blaine had gone to get his pills the Dr ordered so was not closer
Anyway he got him up after he had to lift the mattress up as Gil had
put his arm under the edge of the bed and in the state he was in kept
raising it up instead of just sliding it out to get it from under there headbanger

Blaine arrived shortly after so had both lads here ,I told Gil I do not know
what I would do if they were not here as there is NO WAY I could
manage him alone ,and I do ALL this for him to keep
him from going into a nursing home crying
He was not 100% calm during the night but better than the last night
trouble is I think I hurt my back again trying to stop him going
on the floor etc so have been treading gently and took a pill last night
and will again later after I have been to the store while Barb is here
DEAR LORD PLEASE GIVE ME STRENGTH TO SEE THIS
THROUGH

Morning ladies I shall be back hope your evenings were good

OK first off ANOTHER DRESS in MY wardrobe
Vicky and one you will have a hard time getting
in and out of no less nono SIGH! BIG SIGH!

My dad grew Goosegogs and when I went to see
him when he lived in Worthing  he showed me his
"STASH" as he froze them till needed  HE LOVED THEM
funny as they are something I never craved ,now cherries
and Marge Apple Crisp apples  they are though
SO expensive when they come here around $4 a lb
We have black and red cherries going for $2.99 lb
and saw some yellow ones last Sunday
LOVE love a salad Ruth and I BOTH could make a meal
out of the salad bar at a restaurant only trouble being
after an hour your hungry again so we ended up taking
the main meal home in a doggy bag as we were both
too full to eat it there funnytvprog
I love Redwine vinegarette on mine used to be Blue Cheese
was my dressing of choice but too many calories so only once
in a while now

Well Corine just came on a flying visit all Gil's numbers are OK
BP 133/60 oxygen 90 ,she said I HAVE to make SURE I keep giving him
the pain meds and Morphine as its when there are none in his body he gets
the pain so bad ,so its just to keep him comfortable but not
completely drugged up
Funny after she left Gil asked me when he was supposed to DIE
I said when its his time ,but found out he thinks its because we are giving him
the Morphine now he is close
He said also that the Cortcobasil is taking over his right leg now but
seems to hurt MORE than his arm did or does confused2
All I know is trying to get him on the commode is a struggle as he will not
or cannot seem to MOVE headbanger

Dr called in Prednazone ? for Blaine for the poison Ivy

Now Marge never fear WE love you I am sure Ian does not
MEAN to make you feel that way ,and maybe its only because
his wife's parents are closer ,some thing I regret all the years
I was never able to get home to see my mum {I could not
afford it back then}
You fix that house of yours up how YOU would like it
it will be exciting to hear and hopefully SEE what you have planned

OK so my stir fry is made its again 88f but feels like
95f with 71 dew point and 72% humidity I only hope when these
storms they are predicting fire up {saying hail and strong winds now}
that we do not lose power

Back later on if able

Vicky a jacket potato in a sock ,did you eat it after duck run run run run

Though Obama told us all to vote "remain" or if we didn't he'd make sure we'd go to the back of the queue when it came to trading with America. Shocked

My friend Janice sent me some of her gooseberries from her garden,  so I'll be making a gooseberry pie tomorrow.      Her and I used to eat them like sweets so it's funny that she's got them growing in her garden.  Smile  she says she always thinks of us walking along eating gooseberries.

Oh Trump is so taken in with Putin's flattery.....he believes what he says. headbanger    Putin cheats to stay in office,    I know for a fact  (Lena, Sylvia's granddaughter) has a friend whose Mum was a counter in one of the elections and Putin's men came in gathered ALL the voting papers up which hadn't been counted and said "All Putins"   and went off with the boxes saying "All Putins"   confused2   you can't vote him out in that Country.....he's a Dictator.  can do ANYTHING he wants to.   And yet Trump says he believes him. Mad

Just watched the last hour of the live broadcast
of the first mountain stage of the Tour de France.
After reaching the top of the steep climb they were
wheeling down the other side at over 60 kilometers
an hour! Rather them than me!

Had a call from Ian yesterday and told him I was
a bit upset at a remark he made the last time we
spoke. It was that he would not come over here in
September if he was only going to move a few boxes.
I felt like I have become a waste of time!
I dropped it as he tried to wriggle his way out of it.
I needed an update on the finances as I would like to
plan ahead to get some more work done on the house.
He said he did not have time to go into it then as he was
cooking dinner last night so he is going to call again
tomorrow.
I feel that if I brought up going over to spend Xmas with
him and Rebecca this year, he will find an excuse for me
not to come. He has already hinted that I should find a flight
going up to Melanie's from my travel agent next time.
I don't know what the problem is as I pay for his damn trip
and rental car! I just feel its all about Rebecca's parents
and they see him a few times a week!
Ian's friend Glenn and his wife Jean come from Kentucky to
visit his Mum once a year in Redondo Beach with no problem.
Enough of the pity pot!

Our crop of Cherries coming in from the Pacific North West
is the best in years so been enjoying having some each day.
I have been making more salads as the weather gets hotter.
Raspberry Vinegarette makes a nice light topping.
Our peaches are just coming into the market now so will have
to buy a couple and see how ripe they are.
We are very spoilt for fruit and veggies grown locally during
the summer as California is the largest exporter of fruit and
veg in the States.
I like to eat organic when I can as I am only buying for one.
The Honey Crisp Apples are not to be beat when served
with cheese and wine. One big one serves me twice.

Well, they did all the teardown next door and bought in the
Porta Potties but have not started work yet.
I think they are having just their kitchen redone but are waiting
for the materials to arrive.
Of course a redo here entails taking down all the plaster board
to the studs! When we did ours we kept the same walls
in place and just had new cabinets put in. The old built ins
took up so much space so I gained a wider looking kitchen,
still Galley style but more floor space.
Weather is scheduled to get hotter as the week progresses
but it is cooler at night.
I need to get some breakfast and run down and get some more
AA batteries for the smoke detectors so TTFN.

Me too, me too, warm olive oil when I was little for my earache.....though my Gran used to often heat a jacket potato and put it into an old sock  and I used to hold it to my ear.

Well got some olive oil drops..

I've finally *almost*  finished my book .....it's taken me a while to read it, I can't read it in bed,  too painful,  and we've not been out .....apart from TODAY....to read it whilst David is :driver: .

ANYWAY CAROLE.....another dress in your wardrobe,   talktohand  oh the pain I went through  (is Carole looking concerned?)    to try this dress on....  .....anyway it's in your wardrobe Carole, and I look really good in it.....you'll be pleased.   I did say to David "Love it but I'll not be able to get it on ....or off" but as I said I went through the pain....oh oh poor little me (looks at Carole ......yes I think she's thinking "She deserved a dress" )

Morning Vicky ,IF we get some
which we badly need
I will but the fan on East ward
and blow you some your way my pleasure
you want the severe thunder storms as well ?

What kind of Dr's do you have for crikes sake confused2
Good old olive oil ,mum used to warm it and put into
my ear growing up when I had a earache ,remember
laying on a hot water bottle with a towel wrapped around
it after ,and because Gil has a build up of ear wax in the
ear that he had perforated which when we first met did
not allow him to join the tank division he wanted to be in
but did not show up on his medical when we emigrated here
his GP was reluctant to probe in and said to also use olive oil
to loosen it up ,its NASTY as well, doesn't "pong" just LOOKS nasty Mad

Well Corine was SUPPOSED to have been here at 8am ....guess
she has another emergency ,the trouble with being a Hospice nurse
Gil's Aid Dede lost two patients only this last two weeks ....

Anyway lets hope your ear improves Vicky ,and I am
Gil's leg does not hurt as bad today as I don't know HOW Dede will
get him washed as all Barb could do yesterday was wash his face
hands and chest as he has to raise his hips up to take the diaper
off and roll over to wash everything else and he just would not do that

I shall be back making a chicken stir fry for tonight light and not too heavy
in the heat

Awww Saba.

Throw some wet this way Carole please.

Well I didn't use the drops.....read in the blurb not to use if your ear is infected. SO back to the chemist I went and asked to speak to the Pharmacy ...told him the story and what the blurb said and he said "Didn't your doctor give you anti-biotics?" when I said "No" he said "I'd go back and see him again and ask him what he's playing at" ......so back home I phoned the surgery and the receptionist said "Oh you've not got an infection" I told her he had told me I had that he'd looked in my ear and said I'd got an infection and it was all red inside...she told me to hang on, came back to me and said she'd spoken to my doctor and he said it was red inside but not infected. confused2 I said "Sorry that's NOT what he said to me" ..."Oh well" she said "he's saying it's just red inside but not infected....and he hasn't put down that you've got an infected ear" headbanger she then said "Oh he's also said used warm olive oil" .......Jessica's Mum is right he thinks us oldies are stupid.

I'm off to get some olive oil. run run run

So whose house you cleaning up then Bond Manor?
and the garden ?
Over here better watch the skies as another round
that could involve Bridgeport should pop up around
3pm that they are calling severe Shocked
Strong winds etc
I will probably be easychair Rolling Eyes as I had a rough
night with Gil again last night, glad Corine is coming back
early this morning ,he was terrible even after giving him
a few doses of Morphine ,obviously it does nothing for
my husband headbanger

Now Blaine is going in late as after clearing the side
of the house last week and EVEN though he wore gloves
and long sleeves ,he got poison ivy on him and he has rubbed
it all over him chest legs arms etc ,and even putting Calamine
lotion on its not helped so he has taken some Benadryl this morning
but is going in late as he has not slept all night and not sure if
the pills will make him too drowsy to work his machine confused2

ALWAYS something @

Anyway better get going hotter than hell AGAIN 75f with a 72 dew point at 5am

MORNING ladies hope your both well and had a better
night than the Bourne household did

Back later run run run run

Yes your right Vicky the dealer gave
me a rough start for sure ......but touch wood  headbanger
he is running well of late .....

Well Spencer home ,shorter journey home after working until 5pm
and he was pleasantly surprised that Jim {old boss} has changed
well seems to have any way ,kept telling Spencer to drink water
even though he took a gal of his Ice tea with him ,but he just grabbed
a bottle of cold water from out of the  fridgefood as said his hands
keep cramping up ,probably the heat as I think I said it FEELS like
its 95f here right now even at 530pm and another day of the same
they are saying tomorrow ,some towns got a pop up thunder
shower with a brief down pour ,but not Bridgeport ....
Anyway he knocked out a few jobs today two Mufflers two motor mounts
and a brake job ,I am SOOOO happy HE is happy

Gil ate a small plate of rice the Zucchini dish and a small portion of
pork chop that I had cut up VERY small....
I then gave him another dose of Morphine and a Tramadol ,and with
him yelling as his leg STILL hurts put him on the commode and he went
Talking to Spencer and Gil starts yelling ,when I went into the bedroom
he said come on I have to use the commode but I told him he had only just GONE
so he sat there like he was waiting on a #21 to Bell Green until I told
him enough is enough ....THAT is the problem with the drugs makes
him    and ME   'er

Love Benjie playing peak a boo funnytvprog
So I shall love and leave you speak tomorrow ,what happened to Bond   crying

I is here ....and PHEW! its hot out there
only went to the PO and two stores close
by and I could not WAIT to get home as my
A/C in the 4x4 does not work THAT well
even though Spencer filled it up last year for me
we think when I bought the truck there was a
knocking noise under the dash and I took it back
to the dealer and he dislocated "something" that
has affected the force of air its delivering ,Spencer
said if he had time he would have to get under and see
and put it back what ever it was ,but in the mean time
I have maybe 3/4 of cold air to what i should be getting

Marge thanks for thinking about me but I take
a bottle of water with my lemon crystal lite in every time
I go out any where ,plus I drink while at home all the time
ever since going to the Nutritionist who emphasized drinking
plenty of water I have been
When I get over taxed I crave LEMON hence why I have Bond
on duty 24X7

Vicky VAMPIRE HORSEFLY"S affraid

Corine has been and gone said she will call me later
and come see him tomorrow around 8am before she heads out
on her rounds ,it seems to be behind his right knee/calf area
that hurts as he really YELLS out when you try to move it

She said to give him another dose of Morphine making sure
I log it down when and how much ,I also put the thing I bought
for his neck that you warm in the microwave under it
He is sleeping again now after also eating a small ham sarnie
and having two cups of his thickened apple juice

She keeps asking if he has gone to the loo but he is back to hardly
eating anything over the weekend so has not been since Friday
even though she said his tummy is soft they like them to "go"
confused2

Anyway I whipped up pork chops yellow rice and made my yellow and green
Zucchini dish with tomato sauce and Swiss cheese, hoping he will eat a little
later ,but until then I am going to sit for an hour
Its 88f but FEELS LIKE 95f and 72 Dew point
run run

Well at least I slept last night and woke up at
7:44 am this morning.
Forecaster says to expect a jump in temps
over the week so inland it could go over 100f
again. Here at the coast we should get in the
low to mid 90fs.
I am glad you had yourself looked at Vicky as
I was reading about the "Vampire" horse flies
they now have over there which can be fatal
in some people.
Carole I know its difficult but you need to look after
you especially in the heat and humidity.
I am sure you could take a 5 minute break and drink
some cold water or drink a little more often in this
heat. I know you are like me, you like to get things done
and out of the way before resting but you really don't
know how much stress your system is under in the heat
and humidity. As we get older we lose track of how much
liquid we need to be hydrated each day as we don't feel
in trouble until we collapse with heat exhaustion.

Fans make us feel cool but they do evaporate our sweat
faster and we don't feel the need to "top up" more often.
I know when I am at my crisis point as I crave beer and
believe me I am NOT a beer drinker! I drink O'Doul's
which is non alcoholic to rehydrate me.
I also have a stock of fruit juice ice lollypops for a quick
cool down.

That's a good idea Bond about the pictures of the church.
Everyone would buy a postcard to take home. I have a
Cashes woven ribbon picture of Priory Row I got from
the Coventry Car museum years ago. It was a lucky find.
It was taken from the old pre 1936 view from Hilltop.
(which one of my great uncles copied to give to each of
his sisters children, I have my Mums copy.)

Melanie is going to a memorial service today for one of
their 12 step members who could not stay clean and crashed
his car into a tree late at night and got out and fell down a
200 ft. drop off at the side of the road. She phoned Jim
and he is also going to attend so they both will be there.
It will be very emotional for Jim as he knew this person.

Melanie is doing well as far as her recovery from the surgery
is concerned and she has calmed down a lot with the help of
her sponsor and doing some rereading of the programs literature
as homework about co dependency. It has many meanings but
in her case she was so sure she could cure him that she ignored
a lot of the warning bells that she should have heard. Which
I heard loud and clear at Xmas!
She did not want to hear it I guess.
Footy over, Wimbledon over and its a rest day on the Tour de France.
What will I do with my self?
I know, I need to get more batteries as both smoke detectors were
tooting at me and I might just replace ALL the batteries in the
devices I have from flashlights to remotes and the clocks.
Then I can write in my calendar the date I replaced them!
2 more light bulbs need replacing now. The one on my bedroom
(which I have not got to yet and one more in the bathroom fixture)
it has four 60 watt bulbs and another one has gone out since
the last one I replaced a couple of weeks ago, I am using the right
wattage bulbs but even the best ones go out in the end.
Hi,Ho, its off to work I go.TTFN

Yes I heard you revving up with your foot Carole.    Brummm brummm.

talktohand  I doubt they'd let me go to your swimming baths Bond. Smile      Though    should be a season ticket holder but it takes her ages to book.      I couldn't do it online at all Bond Shocked  and it was difficult on the  telephone .ringing, ringing and then throwing me off....kept having to try over and over again....until I finally got through.       Not easy these days IF you're going to the hospital to get your best test.    No wonder our doctors are so choked up it takes weeks to get an appointment.

Vicky when it says about blood tests on the hospital booking in page it asks me what area a and for the last three times Ive put Atherstone (its at the swimming baths) you pick a free time and day and clock on it then they send you a email to say its done and se nd you a reminder the day before, it was A bit of a bundle the first time sorting passwords but now it takes a couple of minutes, I get there them minutes before my appointment time and Im out before the due time
Have a minute Carole or you will catch yourself coming back
Drinks
I did talk to the vicar yesterday about print of the church as I was don't think he made any money on the exhibition as the church takes 10% of the sale but if nobody sells anything 10% of nothing is nothing confused2 to he made more money on the coffee and cake
So I said about prints and photos of the church as cards or framed pictures

WELL at least you SAW a Dr Vicky
but ABSOLUTELY ridiculous what you guys have
to go through for a BLOOD TEST headbanger
talktohand Your lucky I was just warming the Broom up

Text the Hospice nurse but have heard nothing back from her
yet so if I have heard nothing by the time Barb arrives I will call
the office

Gave him the Tramadol and Lorzepan and he is quiet now but trying
to get him back into the bed was awful as every time I touched
his right leg he YELLED out confused2

Just heard its going to be around 90f today its already 73f at 830am
and looking at Florida Orlando is saying 104f today ,those misters
around the attractions will be going FULL FORCE for visitors

Yes Vicky I told Spencer to take it easy and do what he KNOWS
he is good at as he was the only one when working with Jim
who could bend and make a muffler/exhaust to custom fit a car if one
did not come already pre bent something a lot cannot do ...
Its just that he has been off 7 mths you know how that goes

Well Corine just called said I could have given Gil the Morphine
every THREE hours headbanger and she will stop by later
this morning to see him ,I also cancelled the Therapist
So waiting on Barb after which I will run to the PO
and then get back

Anyway hope the drops help Vicky

My PC is STILL not right but at least found the page to get on here confused2

Has she left already on her broom?

Well saw a doctor at the surgery, not the one I wanted to see though, but one I've seen before, I do like anyway, even though Jessica's Mum hates she says he treats her as though "She's a stupid old biddy" confused2 she's younger than me.....anyway I've to have a blood test (say it Bond "Good luck booking that" seeing you can't just walk up to the hospital now....and getting through to book is a nightmare....I'll try again after lunch ) anyway yes I've got an infection in my ear.....I've to put drops in twice a day......though I had to pay for the drops we don't get those on prescription, I've to go and see him again in a weeks time.

Been nattering to Susan.......they've taken lots of things to Matt's parents for them to store until they've moved in, though she's now been told it might be the week after for when they move, the first lot in the chain are still waiting for some paperwork:..... confused2 Mad

Warwick Uni handle their student population by ruining Coventry.....a building becomes empty, any building...make it into student quarters, Coventry centre is the home of the student quarters.

Susan was saying she went to have a natter to her neighbours in the next house to her and she was given a drink of pink gin & soda with strawberries. She said it's really nice......I'll stick to my tea. Smile

Hope Spencer is ok Carole and he comes home happy to be back in the work he's good at.

Matt's Mum is going to sell her paintings....and a painting copied onto a cushion....at the craft fair which is staged every month. Good idea Bond.....have you thought of that?

Later.
