phew that's good Vicky I was
thinking had the dog grabbed Benjie
around his head it could have been
So Much worse
Tell him auntie Carole is proud of him taking
His meds like that

Well Dede  got Gil body washed and  and we washed his hair
while he sat on the edge of the bed with a bowl in front
of him and I was able to pour water over his head
so he is feeling a little more ,*,human* as he has been having
what they call dry shampoo hair washing ever since we can no
longer get him into the shower

But once again he started choking on a piece of sandwich
Even though he is reminded to take small bites and chew
I just told him pretty soon he will be on 100% ,liquid
if he keeps this up ...
Told me my tongue is sharp today ,so I said I wonder why
another night sleep deprived and I have not stopped since
getting up ,have prepared dinner made Blaine 's work sarnie
did two loads of washingmachine , mop  the kitchen and bathroom floors
and helped get him up talktohand nah! no reason  headbanger

Very overcast here today and up in the 90% ,humidity according
to Dede
Sweden playing Switzerland so will take a break and be back later

Hi Gang........well the vet looked him over, cleaned out the puncture wound and gave us 2 anti-biotic tablets to give him.....half of the tablet twice a day....he's really good just took the half straight out of David's hand without it being in food. Yes Carole he's lucky that he wasn't injured really badly, as other dogs are.

OH NO Vicky poor baby
I bet he was in shock ,how is he this morning?
it could have been a lot worse so thank goodness
it was not

Morning Bond ,yes your shed looks different
is that the side of it or the front door ?

Well another hot day starting off at 75f at 5am
not going quite as high only in the high 80's low 90's
but its the humidity that is the killer Sad

I fell to sleep out in the living room after my shower
as after he ate Gil went on the oxygen and fell to sleep
in his  easychair  ,next thing I knew Blaine was home ,I said
your early but he said no its 8pm confused2
So woke Gil up and got him into the bedroom and Blaine
helped get him settled ....he was OK until around 130 am when
all I heard was COUGH COUGH COUGH ,I mean he REALLY HACKS
so got up and gave him two Mucinex and he went back off a while
later ....
DeDe the Aid coming today so not sure if Gil is getting up
or staying in bed ,I FEEL like going BACK to bed as another
night being woke up tired  ah well guess we will see

Yes just saw that they found the young lads ,but said its going to be
awhile before they can get them out ,guess the important thing
is getting food and water to them

Well its headball ENGLAND headball today so here's hoping they do good
lets hope he plays the same men {UK} that won the first game where Kane
scored so many goals cheers cheers  as they did not play as
well the next round when he was not playing ..

OK let us know how Benjie does Vicky ,a special treat me thinks is needed

MORNING MARGE have a good day

Sorry I didn't get in after my post.....Benjie was attacked by a large dog while David was taking him out for his last walk of the day. He's got a puncture hole near his tail, and he was in shock, we're off to the vets this morning. The dogs owners rushed out of the house apologising the Mum saying to the boy "You left the door open" but a lady in a car stopped David and said she had seen it all and was going to report it....we also reported the dog. Seems it's not the first time the dog has got out (no gate on the side of the house) we phoned an out of hours Vet but she said unless he was bleeding a lot it could wait until today to see our vet.

Oh Bond I was talking about your shed.

Yes it is good news about the young boys being found......but they must be so weak, it'll be a time before they can be brought out though, poor loves.

Later.

They are indeed McVitie's digestives.
I'll try anything once.
I do get a discount being a former
member of the St. Georges Soc.

Lorna looks after me by cooking
for both of us at least once a week,
she is rather naughty and buys all
kinds of large cakes or cheese cakes
and eats them by herself or offers
me some when she feels guilty enough.
So if I find anything that has dark chocolate,
I get some for her. After Eight mints are
among her favorites.
Still not heard from Melanie yet, I am not
waiting around "if" she might call as I have
things to do. She can leave me a message
like everyone else does.
I get the same answer from both my kids "why
don't you call us sometimes". I would but
they are never home either!
I hate playing phone tag as they get the wrong idea
that its an emergency.
I think I am going to tell Ian not to bother coming
over this year. I can manage quite well on my own.
He wants to start doing Face Time again.
Of course with the 8 hours time difference I am still
in my jammies and hair mussed up while he has
been up for hours!

Well I am here again
Corine came at 945 and took Gil's temp
as he felt warm ,she said she thinks he could
have a low grade Pneumonia as the last time
she took it last Thursday after I and the other Aid
had said he felt warm it was only 97.4 and he is sounding
a bit chesty
She said he did not "look" good today ,probably because
his leg was hurting {Vicky unless Gil said he was in pain
I have stopped giving him the Tramadol as it was making
him ,another problem in itself} plus they
change his moods making him very NASTY ...

Then the therapist arrived and I left with Corine as I HAD
to run an errand before Barb went home ,so when I returned
Barb said Jean had worked on his leg she said she could feel
the tendons all knotted {probably the Coritcobasil working
its nasty self } and she will return Friday

Corine said to me you know he is declining don't you ? so guess
she sees it more than I confused2

Had Barb help me get him on the commode before she left
as he is really having a problem moving today ,and may have
to wait until Blaine gets home to get him into bed

I last had a back belt Marge when I had my ruptured disc
so no do not have one any more ...

What "new Kind" of biscuits did you have with all three
chocolate flavors on the back ....not McViti by any chance ?
As we had some here on sale a while back with coffee milk
and dark chocolate on wholewheat by them ,but at $5 +
I passed after the first packet

I am with you shirts on when they win tomorrow
playing on Channel 5 Fox at 2pm our side

Brazil won I see ...watching Belgium vs Japan starting in 20 mins

Feel sorry for Barb having to walk up the hill to catch her bus
if Gil was a bit better I would have run her in this heat 89f right
now but feels like 93 thank God the humidity has dropped here
to 63% although anything over 50% is not cool

I usually check the page count we are on as on my ipad
it is easy to miss and hit it with my finger.
If I am seeing page 1 I know I am in the right place.

Yes Carole, I meant a support belt for your back so
you are protecting your back from damage.
I was lucky that Peter only needed support in 2011 to
get himself upright even though he was still being transferred
from bed to wheelchair for many weeks. His upper body was
so strong that he had a grip of iron.

Had a nice sandwich over at Lorna's last evening followed
by fresh sweet cherries and a glass of wine. she found a
new recipe for potato salad but using cauliflower instead.
I returned her bowl she gave me filled with fruit salad after
Memorial day but I put a packet of new style biscuits from
England, whole meal but done thin style with either
milk or dark or coffee flavored chocolate on one side, in the
bowl when I gave it back. I am addicted to the coffee ones!
She likes dark chocolate.
We sampled some with our cup of coffee to end the evening.
Somewhere last night there was a firework display which lasted
about 20 minutes, could not see where it was but sure heard the
bangs.
Funnily enough its been quiet this year in the run up to the forth.
Usually we hear bangs and whooshes for days before the 4th.
Our city has a firework ban anyway. They are doing a public display
over by city hall that night but with the quasi military style fireworks
coming over the border from Mexico it can make you want it to be over
for the year especially for the animals.
I washed my stars and stripes yesterday as it was a bit grubby but
need to use some DW 40 as the screw that keeps the pole in place
in the bracket is stuck before I can hang it back out again.
If England wins on Tuesday I might wear my union jack T shirt on the
4th! Good job my neighbors know me so well. tongue TTFN

It was you going on about Daddy Long legs Carole made me go  affraid  "WHAT"   "But where's the rest of the postings?"   and then I realised....       But Bond did find his way back any how, he'd posted at 5:30 pm   confused2    so he must have followed the wool and found his way back.  Smile

I've heard about you getting into trouble in a dark cupboard Bond.

Aren't you supposed to give Gil tramadol so many times a day to keep him pain free rather than wait until he is in pain and then get him a tablet?

I've taken one of my summer dresses into the town to have it shortened.....about 8 inches cut off.      Bought it last year saying I was going to shorten it but never got round to it.....of course by the time I've got it back, a week, the weather will have changed,   oh well there's always next year. Well looks like you saw my message
then Bond ,now as long as you don't lose your
way coming back we will be A OK funnytvprog

I think we can delete some of those back posts
so its not confusing as I know that was some thing
others had a problem with wondering which PAGE
we were on at the time confused2

So if you want I could do that with all your blessings

Another bad night with me though ,Gil was complaining
about his LEFT leg now hurting before we went to bed
at 230am he woke me wanting to wee ,but instead of standing
up out the bed he lay with the top of his torso on the bed
his thighs and legs over the edge and I could not get him up
so had to wake Blaine to come stand him up and get him on the commode
after that I managed to get him back into bed elevated his legs
after giving him a pain pill and then later a relaxing pill as
he still kept moaning and groaning ,so I have had about 4 1/2hrs
sleep tired tired

The occupational therapist is supposed to be coming today
so wondering if Barb and I will have him up or not confused2
As to asking Hospice on how to transfer him from A to B
I have been shown ,but at times as I said he either FREEZES
in place not moving his feet and legs or pitches forward
regardless of whether I am holding his Gait Belt ,which I Do
have hold of ALL the time Vicky holding under the right arm
that does not work and the belt ,and no I wear no belt what
good would a gait belt do for me confused2 unless your
talking about a back support belt ...

Its already in the 70's at 5am and humid as heck 91%
humidity they are saying along the shoreline it will feel
a "TAD" cooler than yesterday WHOOP DE DOOOO

Better get a few BUCKET loads of drinks in Bond

MORNING LADIES
Ok I am away back later run

It wasn't the new topic page I'd followed him on Carole, but the page which had been "locked" the reason I finally realised what had happened.

Another hot day......seems we're stuck for the moment in this jet stream. Oh dear won't she be moaning this morning...... I'm seeing her in a mo.

It is supposed to be "locked" as well so he, or anyone, isn't supposed to be able to post .....BOND did you pick the lock?

Good advice though Carole from Margaret.....ask the Hospice to see if they can give you some tips with Gil.

Well it's that time again......seeing Bond's not been in watering us.....I'll get the drinks. run run run run run

Well lets HOPE Bond reads where he posts now HEY
BOND OVER HERE
cheers  cheers

Marge posted
Yes, there is a big advertising campaign
going on here for Thunder coats.
They say its suppose to calm dogs by making
them feel comforted like having their owners
arm around them in case of fireworks or thunder
or any noisy situation. I kind of doubt that it is
as advertised. Dogs are connected to their people.

Got a text from Jim last night and he mentioned
that he had watched the England game.
He hopes they do better on Tuesday.
I still have not heard from Melanie but she did post
a photo of the ladies she sponsors in her 12 step
program going somewhere.
I feel that she has contact with her group every day
so she should spare five minutes to bring me up to date.
I know she has her hearing on the temporary restraining
order in a couple of days to see if anything has changed.

I did not sleep very well last night. the cats kept changing
places by my side and then heard a bit of a bump and they
both jumped up so had to go and check if it was an intruder,
(which it wasn't) it was the plastic pelmet that was across the
top of the full window mini blinds in the office that had fallen
off and slide down the window. Then of course I was wide awake!
Shocked So why it chose to fall down in the middle of the night
I don't know.
I do check all the windows and doors when I settle down at night
and with pick proof locks and latches on all the windows I feel
pretty secure. As the French windows are tempered glass It would
make a lot of noise to break them by which time I would call 911.

Going over to Lorna's this evening to have a bite to eat and a glass
of wine to see if I can help her pull together what she wants for the
4th.
Neighbors are still reporting sightings of Coyotes in our N/H but
not as many as before. We think its the older members of the pack
looking for easier pickings.

I loved that show Vicky. I did feel that every time Maggie Smith was in
a scene she did tend to steal the limelight even if she had no lines!
I enjoy watching her face as she is right there in the moment, no
relaxing because the camera was not on her.
The whole Edwardian way of the rich living seems to be what the present
Queen lives by even now.
The Americans were bowled over when they saw "Upstairs/Downstairs"
for the first time and so it was with "Downton Abbey".

Carole, please tell the Hospice people as they can maybe give you
some tips about how to transfer Gil a little easier. Don't need you
laid up with a back problem. Do you have a support belt for yourself
when you do this?
Can you take one of the arms off the wheelchair?
(only a thought that popped into my head).
Off I go to do some more excavating in the main bedroom. TTFN

THEN MARGE posted following Bond which I transferred above
THEN VICKY ASKED [/b]

Where's the rest of the posts? We've got lots missing.

Good afternoon all yes a very hot one today but its more the little thunder fleas that the problem all over you, they are tiny but feeling as if they have pit boots on
Glad you are enjoying the book Vicky

And Margaret's followed on my post, asking where all our posts have gone before I realised what that Bond had done......when I realised what had happened I almost deleted my post, as YOU couldn't of done Bond, naughty person you are, but thought I'd  just post in the correct place and we'd be fine, back on track....so you'll have to read Margaret post as well Carole....she does give you some advice.

Oh yes...."And they all rolled over and one fell out and the little one said, roll over, roll over"   that's what the chain is like....first one gets the keys and moves, second one gets the keys and moves, the third one.....and so it goes on until everyone has moved....on the same day.

Yes Margaret's mentioned the thunder vests Carole in her post.

BOND posted in the wrong spot funnytvprog
How did you do that ?

Spence just stopped by said it's bad out ,anyone
with breathing problems had better not be out today

That's good that your daughter could move in soon
reminds me of that song ,, "so they all moved over and the
little one said ,move over " funnytvprog

All these upsets in the FIFA   Russia just beat Span Portugal Argentina
all out ,watching now Denmark vs Croatia

Those Thunder vests Vicky supposedly hold the dog so it
feels like someone s cuddling/holding them close and comforts them

I have been on a roll today ,have done washingmachine  cooked a small
pork roast all early before it got too hot ,went to the store for batteries
another pound of ham and some ice tea for Spencer from the dollar store
they sell the 1/2gal bottles for a $1
Came home washed Gil up got him up made breakfast for him folded the
clothes made mashed potato and carrots with the pork and all plated
ready to heat up when we eat later

I hear what your saying Vicky about Gil really not looking forward
to that time ....

Wendy said yesterday they were talking thunderstorms down there today

Ok back later stay cool folks

Btw have read a few of her books Vicky

Susan says it's  down there.

Looks like they'll have their date to move in soon.....along with the rest of the chain of course. There's 3 couples behind them but only the one guy in front of them....the house they're moving into to, so not a big chain. You have a chain if you're buying/selling Carole....sometimes it's a big chain sometimes if you're lucky only a small one. it's always on a Friday when the chain move. (the same day)

BTW finished the book.....I've chosen the next one...."The Kings Curse" by Philippa Gregory

Gosh it's hot out there 85f.

Yes David thought a new washer would do the trick.....but no.

You'll end up hurting yourself Carole,  it's coming to the point (if it's not already here) where Gil is needing round the clock assistance.  Just in case and Blaine/Spencer isn't around.

No not heard about those shirts for pets Carole THOUGH Benjie wears his coat in the rain, at a push, he's not that keen but he'll wear it but he hates to be dressed up with sweaters or such like.   Now Nessie loves to wear sweaters (Christmas)  or a rain coat, unlike her brother.
Fireworks he hates thunder storms he doesn't mind.   Strange dog.

Wow my book is brill.....at the moment it's "Behind the scenes"  when Downton Abbey was being filmed.     Margaret's son will understand and I bet have his own stories to tell.    Though a formal dinner scene takes a short while to watch it takes 10 to 12 hours to take,  re-runs and of course each person having to do their own *part* in the scene, hand held camera.    The actor who played Matthew kept forgetting to stand when a female came into the room or duff his hat when they walked by.         Highclere was the house Julian Fellowes wanted when he did the film "Gosford Park" (he won an Oscar) but the film director wanted a house near London so the actors could sleep in their own beds confused2  so of course Julian said "Highclere Castle" straight away when they started thinking about houses, though they did look at 30 houses before agreeing Highclere was the perfect house.     The scenes above stairs are all at Highclere but the below stairs scenes are filmed on set at Ealing Studios.   So you have Thomas walking out of the kitchen with a tray of food and two weeks later walking into Highclere's dining room    Smile     So many interesting things.....the village is set in Brampton, Oxford....the Dower House is Byfleet Manor.....actors were reminded to say "nye-ther" or "eye-ther" NOT "nee-ther" or "ee-ther"  becomes that only came in in the 2nd world war when the American's came over.    As I say really interesting.

Morning Guy and Girls

I will remind Wendy again Vicky thanks for
the heads up on the water ,and yes there ARE
some VERY sick people who harm animals in
this world ....

So your needing a plumber @ too bad Bond cannot
help ,not sure if that is one of the "caps" he wears funnytvprog

Well my jaw still feels out of whack after yesterday when Gil
almost went head first into his chair after bringing him in from bed
again good job Blaine was still home ,trouble was I braced his WHOLE
dead weight holding the gait belt and his arm and felt something
bull on my back and back of my right leg ,but not my jaw it feels
like I have lock jaw know that feeling confused2 so has gotten a little better
over night but not right still and what caused THAT who knows
you would have to see him when he does these things ,its like a
ton weight stone he just falls does not make any effort to stop
himself headbanger
Normally have no problem transferring him from the wheelchair
to his chair he stands up reaches out his left arm then turns and sits
not yesterday its like he stood up reached out and all of a sudden he
had his head down heading towards the side of his chair and the
standard lamp I have there for him

Anyway going to be a BAD day here ,shoreline temps feeling like
98f-104 and inland feeling like 104-110f last time we hit three digit
temps they are saying was back in 2012 ,so telling people to stay
hydrated and take it easy

Spencer said Carmen made $97 yesterday on her tag sale, and they
are doing it again today so told him to try and stay in the shade I know
he said he drank a gallon of his iced tea yesterday ,that is all Spencer
drinks period no hot tea /coffee water ,only Arizona Arnold Palmer
lemon Ice tea confused2

Weather tomorrow more 90's possible thunder shower on the 4th
when Mother Nature may put on her OWN display ,then more 90's
till about Friday when it says high 80's anyone on holiday will be having
a hay day

WOW they are advertising a THUNDER SHIRTS on TV available
from pet stores that you put on them when its bad weather or fireworks
going off ,heard about them recently have you seen or heard about
them Vicky ?
Wish they had had them after Saba got scared

OK trying to cook and do my washing early before it gets too hot
so better get going
Back later run ♪ drinks run ♪ drinks run hope Bond gets more

Another HOT day.

Well it's looking as though we need a plumber......David bought a washer, as he thought it was one of the washers, but it's still leaking, not alot, only wet but still needs sorting out. confused2

Benjie doesn't go for the long walk in this heat just round the block.....though he lies down when ever he comes to a shade, which of course is often with the trees etc, but we have to take him out......he won't go to the loo in our garden, or Susan/ Matt's parents garden....doesn't even cock his leg up, He goes out for the last walk around 7:00 (though we have tried to push the time later) and that's it until 7:30 the following morning and he goes out at 12:00 lunch time. His clock says it's time to go out for a walk.....he'll sit there glaring at you, big sighs, flopping down with his head on his paws, then we have the little bark. confused2

Tell Wendy NEVER to let Henry drink the water which is left out in various places, we have had cases of people putting Anti-Freeze into the bowls to harm/kill the dogs. so it's better to take your own water......we took water with us when we took the dogs to Sandbay and to Clevedon. Please please warn Wendy about the water bowls. There was a warning about it on FB years ago. And I've mentioned it on here before telling you to warn Wendy......so please do so. There's some sick people out there.

Morning Bond......cornflakes please, warm milk. confused2

Ha! Portugal lost and Ronaldo got a yellow card funnytvprog

No was not bitten when  we went to Seaside park as the sea
breezes keeps the bugs away  Vicky ,no there's this little thing
that finds me every year ,Dr said years ago they get into the house
every time someone opens the door and they lie in wait and bite you
during the night as I have been bitten where no respectful bug would go
Mad .

Gil watching two headball teams Seattle vs Portland
Getting a good following over here now ,and the announcer said
Wayne Rooney had signed  3 1/2 yr contract with Washington starting
this month

Glad you had a nice day out then Bond ,now put your pinny  on lad
keep them L n L' s coming

Even in the heat you still take him  out Vicky ,wonder if you walk him as far
as my sister does as they walk from their house in Devonport all the way
into Plymouth and on up into the Hoe  and all the way  to the Barbican
THAT is some walk ,bad enough in normal heat besides what they have been having
of late ,I know Wendy says they take water with them and places have water
out for pets ,but I know my BIL  from when he was here ,they WALK MILES
His excuse was he used to WALK when in the Navy 20+ yrs
No I feel sorry for Henry

Gil loved dinner cleared his plate and said he could go 2nds  funnytvprog

So time for me to take my shower
Sleep tight people xx

They camp either in Cornwall or Weymouth,    I've been to both areas holidaying in a cottage though and never been bitten, neither as Rob and he was bitten when we went to Portugal,   learnt to use the plugs that stop the mosquitoes,    but never been bitten in Cornwall or Weymouth,   when you last went out with Gil & the boys were you bitten by bugs?   When you go shopping.....walking to or away from your 4x4  are you bitten by bugs?   confused2    If you go into your garden are you bitten by bugs?

Matt picked France out for Susan at work, he picked Egypt or himself...... funnytvprog

Yes that's why I love the idea of Susan living in Portbury the neighbours are so friendly and of course Matt's friend Terry and his wife Tara and kiddies live there. as well as Matt's parents of course......and Becky pops in to see her parents (Matt's sister) and Susan & her are very close,  so it'll be a great place to live for them

Benjie goes for a walk 3 times a day Carole.

Oh Bond's doing the drinks........glad you enjoyed the show. I thought it was good.

Oh Rob's on the radio again Tuesday.

Morning Marge and your a better gal than I
no matter HOW civilized the camp maybe
Vicky no bugs ,where are they then ?

Yes Argentina lost ,and Portugal is one down
in the first 10 mins

Nice though Marge being able to get together with neighbors
I always say as you never know when you may need them

Did you see the small clip I sent you Marge of my solar lights
out back ,Tracie said they looked like miniature UFO's

Would send you it also Vicky but not sure you could view it

Has anyone seen my tongue  last seen dragging itself behind
me as no one made the

Wendy and Derek are at a place in Plymouth called The Treasury
eating he said it was so nice he took her back again today
They at least left Henry home with Derek said fan going in all rooms
access to his water and the use of a radio
I said a "dogs life" ,and that they are at least listening to me
taking him out either early morning or late at night  for his walk

I am with you NEVER would let Saba loose off leash ,you can never tell when
something or someone would make him dash off and I would never have
forgiven myself had something happened to him

Made shrimp with mushrooms and broccoli in a white sauce
over white rice for dinner today
Gil almost went over on me after getting him up wheeled him into the
living room and in getting him into his chair he lunged forward making
me pull him up bearing all his dead weight as he just lets himself go
does not try to stop himself ,so screamed out for Blaine who was still
home  {thank God} who grabbed him
Should have KNOWN it was going to be one of those days
when trying to get him out of bed he slid to far down and was laying there
with his legs over the bed unable to pull his dead weight up so AGAIN
had called Blaine, anyway my back and leg are hurting slightly as I pulled up so hard
trying not to let him fall head first so going to take it easy for a while Mad Mad

Be back later ....PANT PANT PANT water L & L I need water

Have to say Margaret I'm the same with zippers.....zippers and me just don't get along, it never does as it's suppose to.     Oh I also have no problem with trouser zipper (Mine I might add)  but jackets......a law to themselves.

Reading this brilliant book on Downton Abbey.......I'm waiting for David to get his head from out of the kitchen cupboard.....we've got a leak .....but my husband says   talktohand   "I'll sort it no problems"   that was nearly 2 hours ago.   Rolling Eyes    I've made drinks TWICE, well boiled the , but "Later" he says.      why am I holding on though from   just because David says he is?      confused2

As I think I told you back in the day I was
associated with a primitive Girl Scout camp
out on the edge of the Mojave desert.

Peter and I never went camping as a family
so when I directed the encampment, he
needed to be there along with the other
dads who volunteered their time for 5 days
over Easter vacation. He did quite well
overall but has always had a battle with
zippers! Zippers on his jacket, zippers on
his sleeping bag but no problem with the
zippers on his pants thank goodness!

Over the years I went to a lot of N/H
scout campouts near and far and had a
great time. Usually in regular camp grounds
that had an area for group camping where
we had water on tap and toilets!
That was only for weekends though.
I have to say I enjoyed the break from
being a wife and mother and doing
something that I enjoyed for a change.
I was involved long after Melanie dropped
out after the first year of Cadets.
I may not remember how to tie a knot
anymore but the training I had is still
with me after all these years.

I see that France has gone through and the
Portugal game starts in half an hour.

Lorna phoned me last night to inform me that
we ARE having a N/H 4th party in her front yard.
Now I have to think of a dish to take and lend
my big ice chests. Her enclosed front yard has no shade
so might have to volunteer my two 9' umbrellas plus a few chairs
on Wednesday. Last count, about 15 have RSVP ed out of 24 possibles
As usual there are always drop-ins.
A pair of new neighbors from down the street have been invited. one
is Indian and the other Canadian so Our multi national tribe is growing
even further. There is another street party two streets away but you have
to donate $20 per family for that one so they can have a bouncy castle.
Also NO alcoholic drinks on public property. We have a BYOB policy.
(its always on private property for ours).
Nobody drives as we all live in walking distance of our homes!
Well, must away, the cats are giving me the evil eye so better feed
them before the game. TTFN

what's Carole got her tongue hanging out like that for?    affraid   Oops ....sorry been out, went to Palmers and saw the assistant who's having the book,  so that's that done....she said "Wow I'm set up now"    we also had nibbles....me a side salad and a

We wouldn't let Benjie off the lead.....I'd be worried he would just shoot off after another dog, bird, cat etc.....now Nessie never leaves Susan or Matt's side,  talktohand  Benjie likes to also explore   "Mmmm where's this path going to?"   Mad       Though when he was a puppy he was really good at coming back at puppy school and we thought we'd cracked it.....until one day he decided to go  trotting after these other dogs, and the owner of the dogs had to grab his collar, second time he went exploring down a ditch, though first going through a hedge.   Mad     the vet asked if he'd been to puppy school....I told him he was really good then, came at every call.....until he decided exploring was more fun.

Oh yes......drinks  there you go

BTW no bugs to bite you where they go camping......it's all very civilised,  no hitching a tent in the middle of an overgrown field, not like it used to be.

Sorry late on parade today ,did have a sleep in until 6am
but when I opened my saw a message from my bank
as I had forgotten to cover our car insurance payment
WHY NOT one more thing headbanger
Yesterday while I was out doing the shopper while both
Barb and Blaine were here the first store I went into I FORGOT to put
the disability card on the dash and when I came out they had stuck me with
a $150 ticket for parking in a handicap space ,so had to run to the police station
and explain that it was not hanging from my mirror as normal as it kept falling
down so had it behind my visor and forgot to take it down ,,,,
Anyway nice police man allowed me to get off this time ,so it was just something
that I forgot as I did not even check my bank balance yesterday otherwise
would have seen it was lacking in funds
But nice lady at Chase said I had enough time to deposit $$ with out a penalty
actually until Monday at 11pm EDT but the temps are going to be WORSE from Sunday
all week feeling like 100+ even here along the shore line so trying not to go out
if I do not have to .....so used the ATM this morning before the bank opened

Was already 76f at 6am have all the blinds drawn fans going and A/C in the kitchen
on low for now

My sister text me that Henry got loose yesterday while they were putting
the bins out ,normally he stays with them and comes back when called
but he took off down the entry and into the road and almost got hit by a car affraid
two men helped Wendy grab his collar as Wendy had gone after him while Derek
had gone around the front in case he went that way
I have told her I did not like it when they have let him loose
in these fields /parks as I do not think he is trained enough to respond to
them so she said they will have to watch him more now

Oh I am SURE camping is different now a days Vicky but not for me
really as the "bugs " love me too much NOW with out being outside
for them to chow down on me......

Anyway Bond save me a prawn .... What you doing today Vicky
Gil is laying in bed starting to watch Argentina Portugal on later at 2pm
our time
A good friend who lived two doors down from me while growing up whom
I called Aunty Molly moved to South Africa in the 50's as her husband was
an engineer and helped build some airport there back then it was
called Southern Rhodesia they had no children ,she told us about
how many black servants she had etc
They never came back to the UK often wondered if they were OK as it was before
all the trouble out there then confused2

Well better see if my husband wants to get washed and up
Back later

MORNING MARGE

See ya later Vicky you doing the drinks today then confused2 run run duck

The restaurants at the camp sites are very good Carole.....though of course you can go and have breakfast/lunch or dinner in other restaurants near the camp sites. ......and of course the showers at the camp sites are really good now,    It's nothing how it used to be.

True Margaret they should have got the death penalty but as you say we'd signed that away.....or Jack Straw did, the idiot.

When David and I got married we'd talked about going to South Africa, one of his mates had gone there and had sent us photos of the house and details of his job....they were crying out for Civil Engineers,   but Janet (David's sister) said "Mum wouldn't be pleased and what when they're both old and need the family around?" so we stayed....oddly enough when David's Mum became ill Janet moved to Somerset.....so much for "They'll need the family around"  Mad

Though the "Whites Only" signs wouldn't have pleased me,     I would have ended up being arrested.Shocked       "Why can't she sit here with me?"

Any horlicks please Bond?

I love dommie dommie Carole, used to play it with my Gran and then of course the kids and then the grandkids......well when they were younger.

Someone should be happy to have it for £40 quid
Bond as it looks from your photo to be in good nick
The one Spencer bought is HUGE and they used to quite
a bit down at Seaside park last year and placed it over
one of the large long tables that are down there that
seats about 8 people and everyone was in it playing dommie dommie
He has not taken it out this year though confused2
Just sat on the telephone  ANOTHER 2+hrs on hold to the State
again asking if their IT dept have sorted my account out yet
actually got to speak to a supervisor who said he could not help
but to call back next Thursday ....confused2

Spencer's ex boss called HIM saying they were close but have not made
a decision yet confused2 {seems he and his son who manages
the office now were going to discuss it ).....

OK so I have had enough for one day ...
Speak tomorrow xxxxx
