Hi all, these are the big old trees one in his garden and one in the house on the other side from the house with the crack garage,
The little green thing in the bottom couner is a garden seat so you can see a little of the he size of the tree thats got to be over 100 years or so

Holy smoke that looks like
an Earthquake did damage never mind a skinny
little tree like THAT

Glad you had a nice meal Marge ,looks like
I might be seeing Linda one day next week
seems she has been doing a full round of
Drs appointments
Said we will make a plan to go over to
Port Jefferson on the Ferry next spring

Regards the car parts your probably right Marge
just frustrating that the body shop has not been
keeping Spencer in the loop as to its progress
The cost that Spencer saw was $5000+ as it
was the whole drivers side and front bumper
Spencer said the guy hit it so HARD it ripped
items out from the engine

Ok be back later

So where's the old oak trees then Bond?    Are they in John's garden or out on the pavement area?  As in a tree lined road.   confused2

Hi again, this is a photo of the small tree with the big crack in the brick work, I have taken a photo of the two big trees 25 /30 feet away, the other thing that the people have said with the tree down and the roots killed the clay soil will swell up with water and th gap will close on the brick work, well if that happens I will show my bare Arr in Smiths window
Marge the burgers sounds good morning all with the blue cheese

Good evening all, full day at Leading Players and the the tree is now down.
Inside the Red Kangaroo was a lot of plastic and foam so once it did get started there was a lot of things to keep it going

The chain of delivery on car parts is weird.
Some engine parts cannot be sent by air.
If the local parts center is out of stock ,it has
to be sent from a parts place that is further away.
It works fairly fast usually but with the hurricanes
and flooding trucks have to go a round about route.
Imagine if a part was supposed to be coming from
Carolina and it got caught up in Michael somehow.
I've had parts come for Big Red from the East coast!

They sent a part to be rebuilt to Connecticut,
it took several weeks for it to go there by truck and
come back the same way. Plus these places have
waiting lists for repairing parts for older cars (which
I know his is not.) It takes time to locate a replacement
part even for new cars sometimes. It all has to match
the car its going on as far as numbers are concerned.
(each part is stamped for a particular car by the company
that made the car).
Using other after market parts cancels the warrantee.

I saw what happened to the Red Kangaroo place. could
it be arson? It does not look like the kind of place that
would burn easily.

Had a lovely meal last night ,a steak burger with Gorganzola
cheese and a glass of red wine. there were 9 of us as 2
members broke their toes and we had 2 arrive who said they
had stubbed their toes that day also !!
One was going in for bunion surgery this morning!

One couple tried to sell me a 1990s Jaguar they had for sale
but even at $5,000 I would not buy a S*** brown car of any
kind! It would cost another $5,000 to have it repainted!
It was probably a fashionable color when it was new but it
is also not one of Jaguars better designs either.
I will keep on looking though.
One thing you can count on here in California ,there is not
a rust problem with the cars.
New checks have arrived, not that I use many but I do have some
services that only take checks.
I also ordered more deposit slips as our banks do not offer them
anymore. I also hate waiting at the ATM for someone to deposit
several checks that way. Each check is single transaction.
Its time for my breakfast and errands then its back to clean up
the carpet as I know Tabbitha has once again regurgitated
a couple of hair balls (Jaggers fur not hers) behind the sofa.

Been out to Woodlands I had bacon, chicken & chutney toastie with a side salad. & a cuppa I also had a taste of his apple crumble....David's meal was fish chips & mushy peas with a

Been nattering on the telephone to my best mate Janice, . her neighbour knew the young guy who was killed in that mudslide, he'd got off the bus to go and have a look at what was going on and got caught in the mudslide.

Morning Vicky ,like your new avatar
mine is the first two prints i bought
from the photographer Mark Pemberton
in Coventry ,I bought the frames of course
waiting on the others before hanging on my wall

WOW wonder what happened to that play place
then saw it on FB burning HUGE ...

Its been going on over 3 weeks if I am right Vicky
for Spencer's car confused2

There are a few states where its legal but not many
over here
I was never interested in ANY kind of Vicky
but I know my kids were surrounded by it growing up
so I guess like Curiosity the cat they tried it Rolling Eyes

Just threw my beef/veggie soup together its THAT kind
of day even though the sunny is NOW shining brilliantly

Next I have to make a short run :driver: as need some cheese
more moo and Dove soap as Spencer can only use the white one as he
breaks out with scented soaps

So see ya later alligator

Burnt down..... Mad     It's not long been opened.

Yes take a photo.....so one old tree is in John's garden....or is it out on the pavement area?

How long as it been since Spencers car was run into Carole?

So Keira Knightley won't let her daughter watch any Walt Disney films because the woman in them aren't strong and they give little girls the wrong idea.       For crying out loud.  headbanger

Later.....

Oh it's the play place Carole.

Though you're allowed to smoke that stuff in certain States in America aren't you Carole....which must be odd, do you dump it when you're entering a state which doesn't allow drugs to be taken.       We always hear "But Holland do"  but speaking to the Sitton Brothers they said most of those making a bee line for the drugs are those who live outside The Netherlands......neither of them have ever taken drugs neither have their brothers or any of their friends, they don't agree with it.        Can honestly say none of my kids have ever either or their friends.      I was offered it once at a party but said no....so did my friend though she did say later if I had she would have done.   Mad

Avatar is another photo I took of Wells Cathedral.

WOW Bond did you HATE the meal you had
THAT MUCH ....... funnytvprog
Or is this the play place your talking about
where you took the kids confused2
Seriously though not good in EITHER CASE

Love your fish .must be a GIRL with them thar lips

I see they have made smoking weed legal in Canada
now but should any one be caught trying to bring it
back over into the they could get nabbed

I have no qualms about people using it for medical
reasons as I have been told it can help with bad pain
but it worries me about people using it while using
machines at work or :driver: still as I think it could
impair their reactions
I know my sons have used it at times but do not like
the thought of them doing it Tracie said she also tried
it growing up but did not like it ,and I know one of my
old "men friends" also used it ,said it relaxed him after
a hard day at work confused2

Well as they said it certainly dropped down over night
although again here along the coast we are not as low
as those further inland were in the high 20's f we stand at 41f
right now but will only hit around 48f even with the bright sunny
they say we should get when ever he wakes up {pitch black right now}
at 542am
Well no wonder no one won the two HUGE lotto games
Mega Millions  and Power Ball as all large numbers
came out {in the 50's and 60"s } so they roll over with Mega Mil
now at 900 MILLION   on the next drawing ,and Power Ball 440 mil
SO FAR ,as they keep adding until the next drawing Friday and Saturday
with people buying tickets
They do it ALL wrong over here they should split it  up more
within that amount instead of only ONE winner getting  the bulk of it all

I buy ONE ticket as I know some spend HUNDREDS ,as I always say
if I am going to win ONE ticket will do it

Ah well was never meant to be RICH ,the most $$ I have ever had was Gil's
insurance $$ never had it so would not know what to do with ALL of 900 mil
{but sure would be FUN to TRY I guess}

Bond still do not understand about the tree roots trunk etc so waiting on
you to S'plain

Nothing left to say but

GOOD MORNING LADIES .......Oh Marge ordered two of those Victor traps
$18.99 each will put one dawn stairs and one up here they say they
attract within  30ft of it thanks for the info

Hi, Arr you see as most people would think the roots have pushed through the foundations but what the report says the close tree has dried the clay soil and the foundations have moved, well as the man that came to give a price to cut the tree down said that little tree wouldn't be only taking a drop of water compared to the two old trees. I'll see if I can get a good photo later
But first the Leading Players

Good morning all from Atherstone a bit grey over here Yet but they say its going to be a nice day
The oak tree is in John garden area, we think one of the reasons it wasn't in the report was that there is a order on it that it can't be cut down
Breakfast and it's cornflakes hot milk toast and marmalade Coffee tea and L&LS

That's a load of HOGWASH ,as Vicky
said its the ROOTS that sucks the water not the tree
trunk Shocked .whose garden are the oak trees in
Bond Johns or the others Rolling Eyes if they are in Johns
guess your lucky its not THEM having to be CHOPPED

Strange skies went by a couple of hours ago as this cold front
approaches us ,some towns even had a few showers and the
WINDS are picking up which is whats going to make it worse
.he is just saying we are going ♪ down down down ♪ .then going
back up again before plunging again , Mad getting sea sick .....

Spencer went straight over Carmen's from work to bring her car
here to do her brakes .....looks like his car still is not ready
he called the Insurance company again today as the body shop
is supposed to keep him updated and have not been ,as he was originally
told it would be ready 5 days ago, then was told oh no waiting
on parts to arrive headbanger
Anyway the MANAGER is now its seems been left a message to call
him back with an update as this is RIDICULOUS

Thanks for the info Marge will look into it
Enjoy your meal out ,

I also just finished my Branston
pickle I bought ,mind you I had very little ,and when I asked
Blaine he said talktohand he had not been using it ,only
tasted it when I put it on his sarnies ,now I do not think Spencer
would be eating it ,but SOMEONE has been digging into it
MAYBE ITS GIL affraid

Anyway dinner ate shower  taken so I am ready for my bed
feeling better now Fran cleaned my hair up as my ears were
starting to look like I had EAR MUFFS
I shall therefor speak at you all in the AM

Hi, its not a job we want to do,  its only a small tree at the corner of Johns garden, not much more than a big bush but it is close to a next doors  garage, the brick work has cracked open along the joints and the people say they have had a enginer in and says in their tree thats the problem, not the roots but the tree taking the water from the soil and the footings have dropped, I know I know its rubbish but they have a bit of paper hat says so, it says nothing about the great big oak tree 25ft away, the tree has to come down or its a court case and nobody wants that so the easy thing is sorry tree

Right,
Checked the site for flea traps to make
sure they were still in business,
Its Victor, the ultimate flea trap at
www,victorpest. com
The traps them selves cost $18.00
and it comes with 2 sticky pads.
The refills are $6.99 for 3 sticky pads.
It only needs a small bulb to operate.
It will catch spiders and other small
bugs that we do not see that get in.
Its listed as "Non toxic" .
My cats were interested enough to get
their paws stuck to the sticky pad so
I put it underneath a side table and they
have lost interest in it now.
the site lists all the creepy-crawlies its traps can catch
so "Fleas" are on the extended list.
With the cover on it its not like staring at an old fashioned
fly strip all day.

Going to the Elephant Bar tonight, a new place for us but
I am sure that Pam and Michael have checked it out.
I have a few errands to run today.
The Drug store to pick up 2 prescriptions, the ATM for cash
and the grocery store for more provisions.
I also should go to Pam's shop as I have run out of Branston
Pickle and need some more Golden Raison Scones.(delish)

Its nice and sunny here again today with only 40% humidity.
Its around 69f at the moment.
Better get going as I have to make my list and take my pills.
I haven't put the bins out yet! TTFN

Morning Bond ....ARRR that is cute about Harry
the young people DO seem to like him a LOT don't they

Thanks Marge I THOUGHT you had said Ian had gone home
did not realize you were talking by phone ,and I guess he is
able to do what David can when checking the investments
he made for me should he NEED to by accessing MY PC
remotely,I would say more clever clogs than CLOT Bond
but Ian was not calling his Mum THAT She wrote it funnytvprog funnytvprog
I would appreciate that send me the name and I can look it up Marge Smile

Buddy seems to be  less so guess the drops on him are working
all I know is they had BETTER as last night I woke up sweating as he
was tucked up behind my legs on top of the duvet as close as he could GET
as it is getting colder and believe me a 19lb cat can generate some HEAT
,TOMORROW they are saying we will REALLY feel the change
as it will only be in the low 30's we should be in the 60's this time of the year

I do not mind the cold ,can manage THAT better than the heat
as I always say you can always ADD clothing ,but can only take
SO much OFF funnytvprog

The death toll is up to 26 now from Michael

I see the Mega millions lotto last night did not produce a big winner
it was already at 600mil+ so the next drawing if one person should hit it
could make you a BILLIONAIRE Shocked
I played 4 tickets and only got ONE number out of the 6 numbers
drawn  Rolling Eyes  but as they say if you don't play you cannot win confused2
I would also be happy with one of the smaller prizes of ONE mil
Its up to 800+ right NOW

Well Bond are you building props again today ?

I am off to see Fran today so will be all spic n span later on
Wendy sees her hairdresser every 6 weeks and has an appointment
today as well
She said her and Derek are cutting down on portion sizes no bread
eating something called "Thins " over there ? and very little pasta
I told her they make a bread that is only 45cals a slice
that my nutritionist said I could have two slices of
Pasta is something I do not eat a lot of so no problem there

Derek I know needs to cut down as he LIKES to eat BIG MEALS
and that is why he had gained SO MUCH weight and had to lose
with his having the transplant for SURE ,I remember Wendy saying
she had a jacket potato with veggies for her dinner so I think
it more Wendy was or had not been eating RIGHT more than too much

OK enough on my tales

Oh I see Pippa just had a boy .....all these babies

I shall return later .....
I see Sir G checked in at 3pm yesterday to chat with you Vicky ...  again
very strange

No, Ian is at home in the UK, we did it by
phone. He can pull my screen up so he can see
what I am doing. As a test I kept printing "Mum
is a clot" on an email and sending it to him.
We think that the outfit that took over from
Hotmail did some tweaking so it isn't quite
working right yet. My new phone is just a sound
adjustment. (which I can do myself.)

I was trying to reply to a retired music teacher
from the school in Hamm, Germany which Peter
attended back in the 50s who was looking for
the school web site which had been suspended
because someone stopped paying for the site.

Carole, let me get the name of the company and
check to see if one of the big chain pet stores stock
them. I think I sent away for them the last time.
I have been using them for years.

Morning Marge ,hasn't Ian gone back then ?
or did he consult with you via internet for
your phone etc
And where did you get that flea catcher from ?

My GMC has about 107.000 miles on him Marge
he is a 2005 ,they say the insurance companies allow
1100 miles per yr ,so he is considered low mileage for his age

Watching another historical movie on Net Flix called
Knightfall ,but although it's about the Knights Templars
and the Holy Grail ,they do say at the start that it's a fictional
account based on some historical happenings

Spencer brought home some meatballs he had made at Carmens
so I am making those with Angel hair spaghetti for dinner ,have
not had that in months

A bit late this morning but Ian and I had a
few glitches to clear up with the desk computer
and my new phone.
Luckily he can access my computer so it
did not take long to sort out a slightly different
setup. The phone was set to sound notifications
for every incoming message so not only did I have
my house phone doing one ringy-dinging but the
iPhone was pinging and squeaking all the time.
It was driving me mad!
I had a red dot system on my other phone which
showed me updates with no noise at all.
It only rang when someone was calling me.
Guess I will be doing a bit of resetting after breakfast.

Its nice and sunny here this morning with only 41%
humidity . Out in the deserts and valleys it goes much
lower. The vegetation dries out so quickly that the extra
growth from the rain makes it more flammable.
I have been resting after all the hubbub of the last week.

Take heart , the end of flea season is coming.
I use one of the oldest flea catchers there are, its a round
plate with a top that you put a sticky pad into and it has a
low light bulb in it that attract them when the room is dark.
It is the best thing I have found to keep the little pests at
bay so I don't have to spray. (with my asthma, its a
non starter).
Blind is fixed and it only took about 15 minutes.
The Sun visors and the seat belt things are ready to put
in BR but it needs to go back to the Gasser brothers for a tune-
up first. I am waiting for my new batch of checks to arrive
sometime this week.
After BR is tuned up again , it will be time to take BB in
for her service.
Did I tell you that Big Red finally ticked over the 100 thousand
mile mark? After 53 years! So its round the clock again!
BB still is below the 45,000 mark after getting her at the
24,200 mile mark, she has just turned 10 from when she was
built. I have only had her for 8 years.
She should be good for another 10 years. (I had my Pontiac
Grand Am for 23 years).
Its time for me to get moving here as the day is ahead of me here.

Oh it's a nightmare trying to book a blood test at the local hospital Bond....though David had his done at the surgery last week, but that's hit and miss. confused2

Yes some days I feel like eating other days I'm just picking. confused2

Ok back later.....brill book I'm reading. Princess Margaret was at a dinner sitting next to the French Ambassador and the ambassador shot some sauce on the front of Margaret's dress....she yelled out "Water NOW" a glass of water was placed in front of her "Not me stupid" she announced to the waiter "HIM" and the water was placed in front of the red faced ambassador, Margaret handed the man her napkin and said "Dip and wipe" and the ambassador had to wipe off the sauce from her dress. And of course Snowdon and her used to argue all the time.... one time he flicked this lit match towards an ashtray for it only to fall in her lap, she brushed it off quickly and said to Snowdon "You could have set fire to my dress" at which he said "I've never liked that material anyway" she yelled "WE DON'T SAY MATERIAL WE SAY STUFF" now the author said it could be that the word "Stuff" is what the quilted material underneath the chain mail was called....OR it could be the German word for material which is "Stoff" confused2 She did hate certain words which she said were common Scrambled Egg mustn't be said in her hearing, it was "Buttered eggs" "Placement" nono she said "Placement is what a maid gets on being employed" .ooer.

Also had a small individual pizza and a slice of lemon drizzle.....and a cuppa. David had scrambled egg on 3 slices of toast. and a slice of walnut & coffee cake with a
