| Well car sailed through......and then we went to Palmers to have la late lunch, & I bought a sweater from M&S. It's certainly coming down now. God don't mention Mrs Simpson Margaret......though to be honest she did us all a good turn we got a better King. Though I also thought Andrew & Fergie were well suited. such a shame about that. I can remember naval wives not too happy that Fergie had been dropped onto Andrews ship because she was missing him while other wives just had to go on missing their husbands. Yes had a lovely time with James and the family......though the weather wasn't good and it was a tiring journey for her.2 trains there 2 trains back and taxis. BTW Carole no Susan won't be having carpets in any of the bathrooms.....all tiled floors. BTW don't knock it Carole well done for keeping criminals out of the Country.....wish we had such laws. Ok later..... New avatar is still Kirby Hall but the staircase. |

| Shades of Mrs Simpson I think. She will have to win them over. Kate was an English rose in their eyes and they were hoping the same for Harry. I happen to think they are well suited. But I thought Fergie and Andrew were well suited also. It was the palace that deemed she could not live on the base when Andrew was in the navy, and that she was not allowed to work or invite her friends to the place they were living in. We all know that William put his foot down after he met Kate after what happened to Diana at first.
The Queen and Prince Phillip spent two years in Gibralter when first married, so were able to live like any service couple away from home. She was able to mix with the other service wives and drive herself out for coffee or have her hair done. Which Fergie was not allowed to do but Kate did while William was stationed in Wales. I equate Meghan to Princess Grace who gave up acting to marry a Prince. Its a tough transition to make for anyone not born into it.
After the rain comes the real change in the weather. We are expecting high fire dangers out in the deserts and valleys with high dry winds. Its scheduled to be 80f today here locally. Its slowly creeping up from 70f at the moment with bright sun. Expecting the man from the blinds place this morning so up and running early but not expecting him to show up at the time he says he will. I cannot go out until he has been though so going to do a few chores while I wait.
My new phone is set to ping or make a noise every time I get a FB post or message or E-mail and its already driving me crazy! I also need to get a cover for it so it does not get scratched.
Flight is booked, I am on Virgin Atlantic it seems as its the only one that has the times I want there and back. it cost a little more but its less than Air New Zealand wanted! Hi, Ho, its off to work I go TTFN

| Morning Vicky ,yes they are saying on the ABC news right now she is 12 weeks along and due when I said in April Strange as they seem to THINK she is being well accepted over there from what they show on TV So whats new with did she enjoy her visit to her son? Meant to say well done to Matthew yesterday Its looking miserable outside but I have to pop out for a short visit to get some more deli meat for the lads sarnies for work but its a short trip as I have the choice of a few stores within a 10min of my house ....want to see if the Food Bazaar has any of the Delicious large red sweet plums they had last week as my regular store said "oh no plum season is over" when I asked the weekend so I said well I will have to go back to where I got them then ,to which they said "oh then they must be getting them from somewhere else " as I think Big Y gets its items locally here in the area ..... Yes isn't Bond being masculine shoving his woman out to work while he PARTIES OK be back want to go while its not raining hard _________________ Carole B [i]

| Well it's been raining but it's just in the air now.....chilly though. Been to . Thanks for the breakfast Bond......so you cracked the whip and took her to work.....and you're out to lunch. We don't see that much of Fergie or Andrew Carole, she was at Harry's wedding of course though she didn't sit with Andrew or the girls. and yes they live in the same house but not together. We're hearing the baby is due some time in the spring. Yes Harry's liked but nothing like how people like William & Kate. And sorry but Meghan isn't that popular, people just don't seem to have taken to her. Right got to go and pick up my car.....it's been in for a service and it's MOT. they've just phoned for me to pick it up. |

| Morning Bond ,its 545am here 1045am there hope you got Mrs B off to "work" OK Big news this morning on the TV is from over there looks like Harry has done his DUTY as Duchess Megan is WITH CHILD I figured they would be trying as she is getting {as they used to say} long in the tooth ,she must be at least 3 mths if the Palace announced it as so , so lets see they married in April ,so assuming the deed was done say in "June" she should be due NEXT April I'm happy for Harry as he seems a nice lad ,Fergie looked well at her daughters wedding and had I thought lost some weight no? Her and the Prince are still living in the same "quarters" no although not together ,come on Vicky your up on these things Well weather wise here its 51f in Bridgeport this will probably be the warmest day of the week getting up to the low 60's but with scattered showers around ,as I see Thursday only has a HIGH of 49 degrees so no going back to the 70's and 80's here Anyway I shall just say I will be back and GOOD MORNING LADIES ......under ground heating @ ...POSH Vicky be no carpets in their bathroom then _________________ Carole B [i]

| I've got all the Harry Potter books as well.....and read them all. I only watched a Harry Potter film last Christmas for the first time....on TV, I'd rather read the books then watch the film, but it was on and David was watching so I saw half of it....though we did record a number of the films .....so we decided to watch one tonight. No we don't have that programme Carole. Oh Carole did you really think they'd go off for the weekend and leave the of course they wouldn't..... Rob's just been texting telling us about the footy match Matthew played....they won 3-2 but it should have been 4-2 but the opposition linesman didn't see the ball going about 3ft over the line i.....Rob said "What a cheat he was" anyway Matthew's team hung on and won. Susan was saying they're having underfloor heating in their en-suite. |

| I remember when each Harry Potter book came out when David was growing up,he couldn't WAIT for each one to come out and "speed read" them it seemed ....
Talking of other peoples "preferences" do you guys get Long Island Medium over their (I think Marge will know )
I was watching her last night and she was reading a young guy who was a *drag queen* his mum had past and it was the FIRST time I ever heard of anyone saying they had lost someone with what Gil had Corticobasil Degeneration that took away her motor skills
I knew there were others out there ,but as I said first time I ever heard it mentioned
Glad someone was looking after kitty then Bond sounds like it is well loved

| Morning Marge ,glad your little ducklings all got away and home safe Mark who is sending me the city photos said he thought your bad weather was coming from us Vicky ,so maybe that was the last hurricane that hit the Carolinas Glad your neighbor is taking care of that tree Marge I wish the trees in my back garden could get trimmed back ,it's worrying with their height every time we get a storm as they hang over the deck dangerous and that's not taking into account the MILLIONS of leaves that fall ,trouble is these trees are on a large lot behind our house that is probably city owned so cannot complain to our landlady on THIS one _________________ Carole B [i]

Yes Carole they do ask if you're always going off to the loo or overly tired as that is a sign. Been nattering to Susan and then to ...... had been to James today, just got back, so she was cold and needed a hot drink. Susan was telling me about the people taking things out of their skip. I did think of you Carole. Ok back later..... New avatar is Kirby Hall in Northampton. .....it is a ruin and very spooky, |

| Ian left on time and Melanie messaged me she was home safe so its just me and the cats again.
It seems that now the thunder and lightning and attendant rain have gone through we are expecting to have higher temps this week with Santana Winds off the desert. This may be our Indian summer coming. Most Japanese rainbow bridges and huge temple gates are painted red traditionally. Its like a resting place for your eyes in the beauty of the garden or view. Now that next doors weed shoots from the pepper tree have been removed as part of the clean up I have gained back about a 1/4 of my view on the right side. They started on the young trees out front as they needed trimming also.
Don't know when they will start on the Pepper tree between our gardens next to my driveway but I hope they warn me so I can move my cars out of the way.
I thanked my higher power for giving my cars a free wash as they sure needed it! My BB looked like it was in the Sahara for a month! BR being the further from the tree was only dusty. no bird poop or spider webs! BB looked like she had been there for months, there were so many tiny spider webs on her. We drove about while the kids were here in their vehicles not mine. Melanie's truck is huge with full car seating for four people and a truck bed with a fitted metal cover on it , it did not fit in most of the smaller parking lots like Texas Lucy's but fit right in at the DIY hardware store.
Tabbitha took to Melanie straight away but Jagger kept a bit of distance. Ian, they kept out of his way most of the time but it did not stop them eating when they were hungry. Jagger would sit on my lap and stare at Melanie for the longest time as if he was trying to remember her being here before. I am giving myself the rest of today off apart from a few regular chores. Its back to the grindstone tomorrow as the Roll away blind man is due early to reattach the leg of the blind that has lost a screw anchoring it to the wall. The parts have come for BR, the sun visors and the front seat belt part that the shoulder and lap belt fit into. I am going to order floor mats next. The original carpet is still in the car and looks very good considering its age and I want to keep it that way.
It needs a service as the idle speed has dropped to the point of dying waiting in traffic, its happened twice so far. My old Plymouth Valiant used to do that, its just a case of adjusting the idle speed again.
Its time for breakfast here and my daily pill dose. TTFN

| how long was the cat left alone Bond ,all weekend If that was the case no wonder it came out head butting to show you he missed everyone Cats are not as sociable as dogs but they do like to KNOW SOMEONE is there ... Is that one of the signs then Vicky ? Wendy has never smoked like me, and rarely drinks if at all ,and as I said she is a life time WW member so eats healthy ,a reason I could not believe she was diagnosd with it . Told her to check back with the Dr if she does not feel any better in a while Done the so relaxing again as I feel like I am dragging MY butt today ,as I said good job I am seeing my GP next week When I got home Spencer was changing the oil on Carmens car ,then he went back as she is hosting a Tuppaware party today Be back later _________________ Carole B [i]

| That's a sign of being diabetic Carole.....tiredness and weeing more......how's Wendy doing with her food? I know Sylvia used to eat things she shouldn't have eaten but then she smoked and drank more than she should have so her doctor just gave up trying to tell her.
Yes they're saying the worst floods in Wales for 30 years......just heard about a plane landing in Bristol (where Susan flies into when ever she's gone aboard) sideways after being caught up in the storm.
Benjie's only just gone out......it's slightly eased off.
Later.......doing fish for dinner.

They are reporting again from Panama City in Florida still dire down there food and water scarce no electricity even though they have 1700 utility workers are down there trying to restore power ,it looks like a bomb zone and they still are not SURE just how MANY people are missing so are having to go piles of rubble to rubble searching for anyone trapped ,its day 4 but the rescue worker with her golden lab said they have found people in other disasters after 7 days ALIVE so there is still HOPE In the mean time neighboring towns are trying to help out bringing supplies to this area to the people which always tugs at my strings Where is the bad weather YOUR getting coming from Vicky ? as I see parts of Spain where a friend lives has been getting it bad of late Hope your family are OK Bond in Wales ..... My sister said she is feeling more tired and peeing more of late whether this is from the new pills I do not know but says she will persevere.... Hope Melanie got back safe Marge also Ian So all that is left for me to say is GOOD MORNING EVERYONE and I shall be back _________________ Carole B [i]

| Ah I see what you mean....you had me "What's Bond seeing.....the garden is green" Being an artist you'd know all about green bridges ....where as I ....don't. No not nice out there I heard a guy was swept to his death in Brighton and a guy died in Cwmduad, Wales in a landslide due to the storm. Dyfed (where my mate Janice lives) have no power. And another guy died, again in Wales, after trying to rescue him from a Marina. Jack & Lily (well it's Lily's really) have a trampoline in the back garden......Steve & Claire are hoping Lily will get fedup of it by next summer, it was bought for Lily by Claire's sister though Claire wasn't too happy about it. Ok they've got a big garden but Claire & Steve say it still takes up too much room. |

| Oh no problem Carole I just knew you'd read my posting because you did answer.....anyway the puppy's doing fine, turns out he grew up with dogs, his parents still have a number of dogs so seems he'll get on with Louie. Which I'm pleased about seeing what a control freak he is.
We're watching the Celeb Dancing. |

| We saw a bit of the wedding on the news yesterday.....those little bridesmaids being blown up the steps, 2 falling forward, it's a good job the wind didn't blow them backwards or they would have tumbled down those steps.
Oh though it was windy it felt really warm when we went out this afternoon.
BTW Carole Laura is only here a couple of hours, she's picked up again around 11:00 after being dropped off just before 9:00

| Boy , did we have thunder and lightning show last evening followed by lots of rain!
I held off going just to the grocery store because the weather people suggested we all stay inside but I was out of cat food so went out as it started to pour with rain. It was a free car wash so didn't mind getting a bit wet. One kid is now on the road home and the other will be gone by lunch time. I loved having them here but is not quiet or peaceful while they are here. Ian was not familiar with the set up for posting photos on our site so it got done twice! I can now buy books to put on my kindle after messing up the last time and the printer is working now there is a new Black cartridge in it.
We went to Ruby's at the beach for a late lunch yesterday and happened to be there when the local classic car club started to show up, 30s.40s,50s and 60s muscle car kept pouring into the parking lot which happens to be quite large. According to the bellboy its every Friday through the summer months so the last one is next week. Kids had gigantic burgers while I had fish and chips. (the best I have found so far). We managed to hit all the usual dining spots while they were here . so that was fun. Its still light rain here but the earth quickly dries out as it is so parched. They have started to trim all the shrubbery and trees next door. Cannot do it in the rain though so it will take a few days to finish it. Just waiting on Ian now as he forgot to allow time for him to pack! He should be here about 10-10:30am our time. Saw the photos of the other Royal wedding and it looked to go off perfectly except for the wind. Good job she didn't wear a veil ! I see they chose the Irish Glass coach (I believe that is what it was) So they were highly visible without being blow away. Sad to see that those chosen to be inside the courtyard got goodie bags which promptly went on sale on E-bay! Think I will have a cup of coffee and a biccy while I wait for Ian, TTFN
PS. we found the credit card had slipped between the cushion and the arm of the love seat! |

| Carole of course you didn't miss the posting about the puppy Matthew & Laura were getting......and now got, you answered the posting. We only waited a couple of days to get our dishwasher and they plumbed it in when we bought from that family electrical store And they always give a discount .....and the service is second to none. Same went for the TV's we bought off them. We'd always go there Bond.....we're helping a local (well almost) family store.....and they are good. |
