Correction Spencer's car is a Kia OPTIMA

Thanks Marge ,I am talking about ANY fish be it
from the Fish n chip place ,or if I make frozen fish
in the oven ,seems it makes that happen to me
Weird I know funnytvprog

Spencer just came home the Mustang convertible
is a 2019 BLACK and when you get out the door
a picture of a Mustang horse shines on the floor
its from the drivers side mirror ....
He said there's a lot of buttons , too many in fact
for this that and the other ,like changing the steering wheel
to "sports mode" and that its only
a 4cly ,so he will be feeling the difference in power ,just hope they
fix his car fast though as his insurance will only pay up to
$1500 for a rent a car ,and this one costs $40 a day

SO I shall just say good night all

I think I might be able to answer that.
It depends on what it was cooked in.
I find that peanut oil smells on me
the most.
Its what most Chinese and Japanese
places use. Frozen fish patties are usually
zapped in a microwave and most
Places that serve fish and chips here use
a regular oil with battered fish and chips.
I used to cooked frozen beer battered
fish with my own chips and never had
a problem.
Fish should not smell if they are fresh.
If you get that fishy smell you know its been
around a bit.

I just got back from getting BB gassed up
and all my grocery shopping for the next week
or so.
Now its a bite to eat and start on the chores here.

Sorry can't help Carole I don't eat a lot of fish.....well certainly not from the chippy or while I'm out, at times I do fish dishes at home, not often though,  but I've not noticed it being fishy.

Body Guard's on......so if I don't get back in I'll speak tomorrow.

I think people still eat it on a regular
basis either as a roast steaks or as hamburger
meat ,but they also eat a lot of chicken as well
Vicky and fish of course
I have a delicate question ,after eating fish
do you find your urine "smells of it" ?
until it flushes out your system the next morning
Keep meaning to ask my gp  why this happens

Saw a beautiful Porsche today Bond....red, it was lovely, though I loved Rob's car which he had years ago in 2000....a Lotus Elise.     Great car.

Does everyone over there eat lots of meat Carole?      Red meat is something we over here eat less of.

Indeed Vicky they do not give a dam
When Spencer was doing work for the
old landlord he even PAINTED  parking lines
and Apartment numbers to try and get the idiots
to park right

Yes Kia is a good car  Bond ,Spencer's is the bigger of
the regular cars and with all the bells and whistles
that this one came with ended up costing him
$42,000 a figure his dad was a bit concerned about
him spending back then
They also make a couple of smaller models one called
the Cube as well as an SUV

I just made myself a salad ,and have some shrimp  defrosting
Also my grocery store had Angus Beef on sale today I
got both Rib Eye and Bottom round cuts  ,picked up three pieces
that should have been almost $30 ,I got all three for under or
around $8 each
Always good to pick them up when you see them and pop into
the deep freezer

Hi Bond Its a Kia 2012 Optima
Spencer kept it like a new car gets wiped
down after it rains when he comes home etc
Washed EVERY week
The blocking I refer to Vicky is by other tenants
as they are SUPPOSED to have one/two spaces each
and they tend to park half way into others spaces or
block other tenants from getting out of the back of the
building into the entryway that leads to the road way
where Spencer had parked right out front of carmen's house

The thing that saved the Kia some was a truck that was parked behind him
otherwise this guy  would have probably taken out the whole car as
he side swept them
Seems he stopped two streets away as he damaged his front wheel
and that's where the cops found him as Spencer went looking in Carmen's car
and when the cop asked Spencer what he wanted and he told them ,they said
Ahh THAT explains it !!
Spencer's car got the brunt of the damage and the two in front of him
got less
He has a Mustang convertible for a rent a car

That was Tracies first car back in the 70's

Hi Margaret, glad you're feeling better.

That's such a shame he didn't use the off street parking Carole then they'll have been no worries.    That shouldn't be allowed blocking a  4x4  in, don't they know the highway code, never park across a drive etc, always make sure cars etc can leave or enter a premises.   nono

Been nattering to  on the telephone  seeing her tomorrow she said "We can have iced fingers with our tea"  littleBlond

Oh Bond they're saying next week it's going to get warmer.....you'll be back in shorts.

Yes has always been my concern when he stays over
Carmen's as her street has bumper to bumper cars
always parked on each side of the street ,she has off
Street parking in the rear but a lot of times Spencer will not park
in back for fear of getting blocked in and not able to leave
Here that car has never known what it's like to park in the elements
as it's in the garage every night EXCEPT the two nights a week
he stays over there ..
Anyone one making fresh L&L 's

Won't be too long away ,the ferry trip Vicky
have to go when the weather is still ok
although Gil and I have been over when it's been colder
I can go any time but Linda still works (even though she
is 70 tomorrow) as the taxes on her home are $6000 a year
and her husband who is my age is retired and only gets SS
She is lucky her daughter and son in law whom she works
for in their business has paid for all their last holidays ...
Glad your enjoying your books
Wonder how Marge is feeling this morning

Ahhh there she is

Good Morning once again,

Sorry about yesterday but I did post
and it must have been interrupted somehow.
I always wait when I press "send" to see that it
had been accepted and check that it shows up
on the site before signing off.
So what happened I don't know. confused2
It was later that I got an upset tummy again.
I have a sneaking feeling that it was caused by
a frozen entrée I had for lunch. They may have
changed their recipe or are using a sweetener
instead of sugar.
Anyway it put paid to the rest of my day!
I had veggie soup for lunch yesterday and
a grated cheese sandwich last night so feeling
a lot better today.

I have called up the vet and made an appointment
to take Tabbitha in to find out why she is coughing
up hair balls or some of her dinner every day.
I just want to have her checked over but she has
no other symptoms. Her eyes are clear, her coat
is glossy and she is eating some kibbled and her
treat bits along with a little grated cheese.
I cannot disguise the hair ball treatment as I have
tried at least 3 ways but she smells it so won't
eat it!
That's where I am off to tomorrow morning.
Jagger seems in perfect health so no worry there.

That's why I never leave even one of my cars in the street.
We have a bit of a winding street and some people take it
much too fast. From one end of the street, If you
go straight. you end up at my house as the street turns in a
small way just after that. but my street tree is target center
from that end. AS was proved one night, Russ's tree on the other
side is target center coming the other way! (his house is opposite
mine).
Nothing has happened in years but it has happened in the past.
We swear we had a black hole in the road between us! affraid
We have asked the traffic department if we could have a few
sleeping policemen installed but they said the fire department
would bottom out on them when responding to an emergency.
This is BS! Our next town over, Redondo Beach has them with a
gap in the middle so a big vehicle can go over quite smoothly.
( I think they are afraid that if they give us some, the rest of the
city will want them) Its all about the $$$$$
Well, my loves I need to catch up again, the trash needs emptying,
washingbasket and some shopper to take care of.

I am going to press "send" right NOW!

Oh gosh bad news about the car.....it's always the case, "Why didn't I move it when I'd thought about it?" .....at least the driver has insurance, though I'm sure that's no comfort to Spencer.

When's this trip then Carole?

The books I'm reading at the moment are set in the 1st and then the 2nd world war, almost finished the second book.

Oh I'll have to look at the site with David's iPad because I'm just seeing the sharks faces again.

Cool wings Bond
Just had a call from Spencer very upset
some IDIOT plowed into his and three other
cars late last night while he was parked outside
of Carmen's house ,he had gone out around midnight
too to get something and was going to pull it into her back
yard ,but thought its OK as it was right outside her house

Towed it away around 3am its the whole drivers side ....
Luckily they got the guy and it looks like he DOES have
insurance ,so Spencer has to go get a rent a car so he can get to work
and see what the insurance company decides about his car whether
its totaled or not

ALWAYS SOMETHING headbanger

Be back later

Oh and Linda is starting to save for our ferry trip as its $21 for
us seniors return trip ,and what ever we need to go into one of
the many restaurants at Port Jefferson Long Island NY bounce
I am SO SICCED

Yes Palmers have their Christmas stock in .....in Sept I ask you.  nono

When to Steve's Claire was going off to her Mum's she was going shopping with her sister & her Mum.....It's lily's birthday Wednesday so we were taking our  present and card to her plus the card Susan left for her here (she'd put money in the card)  she'd already had a birthday party with her best mates from school.

Susan & Matt flew off to Sardinia this morning for a week.

Well it's cold out there with drizzle in the air.

Think hot drinks are in order.

Yes Margaret trouble is the schools know they've got a captive audience so they charge for the pleasure. Parents, grandparents, aunties, uncles etc they all want a photo so the schools think "They'll pay it" and we do. confused2

Yes it's a 7x5 Carole which we've ordered.....that's the smallest, and it's £16....we have ordered 2, one for us one for Susan, we'll be ordering 2 of Matthew's as well when it's his turn.

I've still got my school photos....only once it was a class photo.

I expect Bond will be bopping away now.

And I raise my to pete
in heaven who is probably having a drink
with my Gilly to celebrate his 78th birthday
I can hear Gilly saying now ,I would have been
79 in December as before this brain decease
people would always tell him he never LOOKED his age

And you should be proud Marge as your doing SO WELL
I like to think I am also so here's cheers to
us BOTH

Bond stop using all the radio times up will ya

Someone was talking about the school photo's the other day saying
they do not know WHY they offer a 5x7 as its a waste of money as
most people have only the smaller ones that fit into their wallets
or have your grandkids on the cell phones and that its ONLY us
SENIORS who have the 5x7 8X10 pictures hanging all over the house Rolling Eyes

I also wish Broad Street had had a school photo for the years I was there
I have a few of my school photo's from Edgewick and Courthouse Green
and one official one from Broad Street ,I am sure Mum had the others
but they are long gone now ...

Well I cleaned off my deck then started the shed before coming
in and at Blaine to come help as it was then 11am ,its looking
great now after I killed these MASSIVE BIG BLACK ANTS that had gotten into
a bag of grass seed ,there must have been HUNDREDS but RAID took
care of THEM
Blaine even moved the bench into another position from where it has been since Gil
started to make it when we moved back here 5yrs ago ,Gil had to have Spencer
finish it under his instructions as he was starting even back THEN to feel
the affects of the Corticobasil not allowing him to knock nails or saw wood etc
So I think Gil would have been pleased
We found all his electric tools drills bits etc etc there has to be HUNDREDS
of $$$ out there ,he LOVED messing about in his shed in Stratford and
had I know HOPED to have been doing the same here ,but of course that
never happened Sad

So now after I made Blaine and I a sarnie for lunch I am SITTING
for a while ....

I would have thought it would be cheaper
nowadays as it should be all digital by
now. Unless they are still using film.
It should be,the flash drive goes in a processing
machine and you get a posh photograph out
the other end.

I wish they had stuck to whole class pictures
with one individual one each.
I would have loved to have had all my class
pictures. I have one and its a panorama
one of my whole school, Cheylesmore secondary
modern.
Its about two feet wide when rolled out flat.
My dad did not hold with "fancy ideas" that
these school photos gave to kids who were never
going to amount to much in his mind.
I only have two other school photos taken at
Gosford Park school. This was because Mum started
tucking away a bit of housekeeping to pay for them.

I believe I have all my kids school photos and sometime
the funniest show up on FB. especially the ones without
the front teeth!

Today would have been Peter's 78th birthday.
Last night I was the leader at my meeting and my
topic was Gratitude. I have so much to be grateful for,
Having such a partner for all those years.
I have two children who have turned into my best friends.
I had a husband who was able to amass savings
that mean I won't be going to a care home any time soon.
He left me with all the fun things we did as a family and
as a couple. Admittedly I had to be dragged into it some
times but it was worth every moment.

I have had moments of sheer terror, about maybe losing
Melanie at 7 with her heart murmur and rushing Ian
to the emergency room after he swallowed something
he shouldn't have but Peter was always there with me
being a calming influence.
I have enough courage to start a new chapter in my life
because of the person he was.
He would always sing the Beatles "When I'm 64"
song changing the year each time.
The one thing I am NOT doing is feeling sorry for
myself. TTFN

Kids have just gone.....Laura brought her yearly school photo order home.....gosh the prices do keep going up, the one we normally get is now £16. £12 if you didn't want a frame. Matthew's won't be ready to order until Nov.

BOY no wonder your bum is so shiny
and smooth then Vicky funnytvprog duck OUCH!

Well looks ,like my financial consultant is not feeling good this
morning so have canceled our get together until Monday ,as I used
to tell Gil about his "big white envelope" my $$ is not going anywhere
& that my $$ is safe in the bank and will stay there until he suggests
where to put it be it savings or investing confused2

So when Blaine DECIDES to get UP ,I will help him do the shed

Marge watching a segment on the morning news about the
Palisades Village opening up your side ,its all these smaller
stores grouped together like a small village ,hence the name,
from florists bakeries and dress stores ,looks great

Ok so what do I do till my son rolls out of bed Rolling Eyes ,he is acting like
he is on VACATION headbanger

Ah yes of course you're 5 and 4 hours different from us Carole (depends on it being clocks forward or back.)......yes you posted at 5.51 your time (10.51 here)     .....though I see you're just  "Posted today"  where as before it was "yesterday"  if you'd posted before midday, so that's seems to have changed.

Yes it was the wind which was making it difficult for the planes to land in Dublin Carole.

The weather here was windy and rain yesterday too Carole, Susan's weather was the same, but as Bond says dry and the wind has dropped.

We'll get no sense out of you for the next couple of days Bond. Smile

Your trifle is back Bond.

Posting at 551am CT time

Morning Bond ,so you have nice weather
well blue skies at least ,wonder what Wendy
has as she was moaning yesterday saying it
was rain and supposedly going to get worse today.

Ahh I see Sir G ONCE AGAIN graced us with a "log in"
Rolling Eyes Vicky must not be doing a good job on that desk
of his confused2

David text I see at midnight ,he will be trying to get the train that
arrives in Bridgeport at 1056am this morning so he will be run
for it around 9am this morning ....

Blaine is SUPPOSED to get into Gil's shed and clean it up today
he was going to do it yesterday but of course we had to go do
his unemployment thing
Its not a LARGE shed mainly got it to house the mower and
garden tools and his things that he used to knock things up with
so should not take long but the spiders have taken over with only me
disturbing the cobwebs to get the mower out Mad Mad

I got the cat window seat yesterday and installed it MYSELF
this morning Buddy was trying to get me up at 430am ,but I did not move
until 510am ,lifted him onto the seat and GUESS what walked by....
a LARGE SKUNK
THAT is what he watches in the dark every morning all the wild life
that passes by as we have this large area behind us that the deer
go as well that is all wooded area ,I knew that the skunk was around
have also seen Raccoons and Possum .....ANOTHER reason I want
Buddy INSIDE

The weather man is watching AGAIN 4 systems in the Atlantic
that they are hoping will NOT form into a hurricane ,but ONE is the remains
of Florence that he said COULD do a 360' turn and go back into the
CAROLINA'S AGAIN ,so they are watching it CLOSELY affraid

OK better get on or I will be caught with my pants down when
David arrives

MORNING VICKY MORNING MARGE

How about if for a while we POST what time it is WHERE we are
as I have done above

I'll be back later
