Yes Bond had posted at 7:36 but when I posted first of all at 11:10 he wasn't logged on and then he was.....but he hadn't posted when you were asking if he was tied to my pinny.....then he posted.      Oh well I know what I'm on about    funnytvprog   We'll have to have a clock in....oh we already have.  funnytvprog

Been to "Woodlands" had hot sausage roll and chips, David had fish, chips & mushy peas....though we'd only gone to get the large batches which they sell, very much like the ones I used to buy when David & I were first married and still living in Lancashire, we used to have them on a Saturday night with Lancashire cheese.   It was our Saturday night routine.

Ok seems I was the first on the delivery truck
They have been ,dropped it inside and gone
Spencer unhooked the old one and took it into the
newly uncluttered garage until I see if anyone wants it
(Seems Carmen does not have the room for a washer/dryer
otherwise I would have given it to her )

Anyway Spencer has gone back to bed for a while

Watching the hurricane one town near where it's coming in
has already gotten 30" of rain and the bad thing is it's going to hang
around till Saturday

Morning Bond ,so I see your phone must
have charged up yesterday off playing with
the Leading Players nono
The eye wall is  right on the coast line now Bond :Florence :
90mph but its the flooding not only the wind
damage they are concerned over way inland away
from the shoreline ...still calling for around 40" of
rain in certain towns  {Wilmington}
It will eventually turn right over land weakening it
before it arrives in CT late Monday so that on Tuesday
we could get up to 4" of  her    from it that day

THAT will cause some flooding here for sure  boat  Shocked

Why is it that parts of the country are CRYING OUT for
RAIN and others have TOO MUCH  confused2

Yes they are saying the houses were blowing up due to
a pressure surge in the gas line feeding the houses along
that line ,scary thing was it was in so many different
towns around Boston Massachusetts, one person dead dozens injured
,and at one time, one town had over 20 house fires they were
trying to put out  ,glad I do not have gas as its not the first time
we have had houses blow up all resulting from the gas lines

They are delivering my new dryer between 7am and 11am
supposed to call 1/2 hr before arriving
Good job Spencer stayed home last night instead of sleeping over
at Carmen's ..

Any who !  hope the ladies both had a good night ...

Not going to be a bad day today but a GOOD weekend is on tap
temps in the 80's and  sunny  before Florence comes knocking
at Connecticut's door
and I shall return later   run  run  run

and like him not eating certain foods now not only
Lasagna ,some  soups/stews

The brain can make us do and believe many things

Well I have cooked the pork ,so only have to make
the Mac n cheese later

Have decided to watch more episode's of Merlin

Be back later

Ian's wife Rebecca is so allergic to
cat dander and always has been.
My son was raised with cats and never
had a problem until he got with Rebecca!
He forgets that we have always lived in a
area that gets a coastal breeze that comes
from north of us and brings pollen from
a lot of things that do not grow in this
area. The Jr. High and High school all
suffer at certain times of the year,
even the teachers!
Mine play up when the Indian Hawthorne
is blooming. its the scent more than being
in contact with the actual plant.

there were 2 newbee's at our table last night
and 6 of the regulars(the others being away
because of various commitments.)
Gillian is involved in the British consulate
community so attends and organizes lots of
business functions. Marie is involved in an
Insurance exchange. Gillian is originally
from Berkshire and Marie is a northerner
who has completely lost her British accent.

Pams shop is a great place to strike up
conversations with other expats.
We may not see them every week but
they obviously like us as they keep showing
up!
I had a 3 street taco dish with grilled chicken
and a side order of Mexican beans, of course
lots of veggies finely chopped. and a pesto
sauce to add if I wanted it.
I only had a lemonade as I was so tired from
the tummy grumbles the night before.
I am not sleeping well at all but do not want to
take anything like a sleep aid as I always feel
hung over the next morning and do not
want to get into that whole cycle of taking
something to sleep and taking something to
wake me up in the morning.
It will resolve its self at some point . I, at least
can take afternoon naps for an hour.

By accident I found a box full of old B&W
photos yesterday and there is a copy of the
photo of Peter and I taken on our wedding day
outside of the then new telephone exchange in
Little Park street in 1961.Its not the wedding
album but its the reason I wanted to find it
so badly. That picture sums up our whole marriage.
I want to have it enlarged and framed to hang on
the wall.
Now I need to go through the rest of that box as I know
that there are other photos that I have seen at some point
and have been tucked away by pete

I did start gathering every photo I found in the most
unusual places every time I cleared out a drawer or
cupboard so that at least I had them all in one place
but never had time to take the next step which was to
write on the backs in pencil who they were and where
it was taken. On some I can only guess what year they
were taken as I don't have the negatives, If I hit
the decade I will be lucky.
I can eventually copy them on to a flash drive and store
the originals in acid proof folders.
The first step is finding them!

No ants yet since the clean up so its upward and onward.
Today its the wall clock in the kitchen and a smoke detector.
I still have BB to unload from the other day. As I said its only
things like laundry detergent and cat litter so it could wait.

I will soon have to go and fill up with canned cat food again
as the little blighters are going through it like you would
not believe now that its cooler!
On that note, its time for my breakfast now then its off to the races!

I am back also ....  is Bond STILL
CHARGING his phone ....

Sounds like it did not take MUCH for you to TWIST that ladies
arm Vicky ,nice lady that you are funnytvprog funnytvprog
I popped to the Home Depot first as I wanted a Shepherds Hook
for the front garden as I bought a solar hanging lamp that they
call a Bird Feeder ,but obviously a bird cannot feed at it ,but its wire
mesh with butterflies on the side and has an LED light that illuminates
it after dark looked quite pretty sitting on my table last night after I shut
all the lights off .....
Then popped to the Post Office to mail off two "stuffing less" squeaky
dog toys for Tracie's two ....ended up getting two boxes of Mac N Cheese
so I can make one with the boneless pork I am cooking as being as Spencer
will probably be over Carmen's tonight Blaine and I are having r/pork
sarnies with a side order of Mac N cheese ,I am still mad at Blaine as
once again he did not eat his dinner { I have not made lasagna in WEEKS
but for what ever reason when i do he says "oh I did not feel like EATING
THAT } headbanger

He seems to go through fazes of "I do not like that" more so since
his brain thing ,like saying he is ALLERGIC to SHRIMP ,he is NOT
and NEVER WAS ,used to eat them all the time ,but now he insists
that he is/was  confused2

Eating a salad with some sliced rolled up turkey breast for my lunch
while the pork cooks

Marge might be turning over right now only 8am so tip toe around Vicky
SHHHHHHHH

Be back run run run

I'm back.....been to big palmers, took the books I wouldn't be keeping to go on the Charity shelf,    didn't see the assistant I  often natter to, I was going to tell her I'd got the 3 books she'd told me about and I'd started reading the first one.    Which I'm loving.   set in 1910.    I did get talking to a lady who was drooling over this maringue and fruit, though she was wondering if it was too large for her to eat it all, I told her I was sure she'd manage, she went off to see if her friend would share......as I walked into the garden room she came by me and said "She's having half"   though just has we'd finished our meal they came up to our table and said "It was lovely" and she said to her friend "This is the lady who twisted my arm to buy it"   funnytvprog

Still nippy out.....

Morning.......and we went doing the big shopper today.

To be honest Carole I'm sure I thought Margaret still had her British accent, if I can remember rightly.

I thought you'd be watching Joanna Lumley Bond.. Smile

You know I've never had appliances which match, when the washing machine/ tumble or dishwasher needs renewing the other appliances are still working just fine. Grrrr!!!

Not sure what we're going to do today......

Morning Bond did you just say back in a bit
as your telephone on charge confused2
confused1
Weather here today should be a bit better
than it was yesterday not such heavy down pours
and a tad less humid ....

Talking of whistling my Aunt Dot AND my Mum
could whistle using the two fingers ,but I could
never get the hang of it so guess over the years I
developed the LOUDEST using my lips
you would want ,in fact it became a habit whistling
tunes etc when I was working in the Green Grocery Dept
of the Tile Hill Coop before I had Tracie my boss, Tom Blair
came in one day from the back thinking there was a guy in the
shop whistling as I was doing the displays of pyramid apples/pears
oranges in the window He said "you whistle like a man Carole "

Still not looking good with "Florence " even though its dropped
to a cat 2 as it could still strengthen back up before making landfall
today ..... please Lord let people be safe

Well it was ALMOST last night on the daily lotto
as my number I play every day instead of coming out 6-4-9
came out 6-3-9 headbanger

Well not sure what I am going to do today ,have to unplug the dryer
as they deliver the new one tomorrow ,Have to see if anyone wants
the old one {still runs but its not as energy efficient as the newer ones
so that was why I opted to get a new one plus get one that now matches
my washing machine ,Samsung }

Hope you ladies had a good night ,how was your Mexican meal Marge ?

And so away we goooooo
Be back later though run run run

I never could whistle that way as I had a gap
between my front teeth so not much power.
Doggy minding is done for the day. Seems
she got through in record time, why do I always get
the slow treatment?

Did not get a restful night last night as my tummy
would not stop growling.
Its back to El Toro tonight as per our birthday girls
request again.
Patty just got back from a 2 week stay in Mexico
so we are celebrating late for her birthday and its
Joan's on the 15th.
It would have been Peters 78th birthday on the 21st.
I still find myself reading his horoscope in the paper!
Jims comes right behind him so its Virgo that catches
my eye. (he is a Libra).
I do take forecasts with a pinch of salt but find the
character descriptions true for being born under a
certain sign.
if you were born closer to your next sign, you do have
certain cross overs with that sign also.
Its time for lunch and I think a nap is due afterwards.

Well done then Vicky considering you were
at the hospital ,your *white coat syndrome*
was not THAT bad ...

Yes Bond I am sure Sara is a walking advertisement
for her business funnytvprog

There you go then Vicky ,did you not think
Marge sounded like a Yank when you all met up
over there

Have fun watching those doggies Marge ,over here in CT
they are trying to shorten the time spent in the DMV
suggesting maybe by extending the years we have to
renew registrations and such or some such nonsense
Well I hear thunder and my cell is beeping saying lightening
close by so be back

Ive decided to put the sharks heads on sticks and not tie them like masks, I did try but it fell over my nose
Yes I really love the coach trips, no worries about parking and driving the drivers know how long O get the best views, we have stayed at chain of hotels before as they are owned and run by the coach company, the other thing its cheap

funnytvprog HA if my step father could have done
THAT he would have as he did NOT like WORK ,did
as little as possible at the Morris ,I remember Mum and
he arguing on a regular basis her trying to get him UP
to go to work
When Gil and I married and we lived with them till we found
the rent on Bolingbrook Rd ,I would BUY something to cook for Gil
when he got home ,and because it was different to what Mum had made
him and the siblings ,he would get REALLY nasty & sarcastic
and start a fight, even though Mum would say I had BOUGHT what
ever Gil was eating
No did not have a good early life at all very stressful

Morning Vicky

Afternoon.......getting ready to go to the hospital,  it's for my check up.

I didn't know he swung both ways either Bond....... affraid     Though look at Prince Edward and Michael Ball.

No Carole I worked for C&A on a Saturday in the 70's.....for 6 years until Susan was born.

Well they didn't say "E by gum" in Middlesbrough Carole they talk more Newcastle than Yorkshire.......my cousin Linda's husband comes from Middlesbrough, they live in Newcastle though around 31 miles from Middlesbrough.

talktohand  Oh they always knew at school when I'd been to visit my cousins in Liverpool. Shocked

No Carole the lady from the office really did think you were American, she asked how I knew you and when I told her about the site I happen to say you used to live in Coventry she was shocked and said  "Oh but she sounds American"  I told her you'd lived in America a long time she said "Oh  that's why she sounds American"    confused2

Oh so it's a coach tour then Bond......right got it now.

Can I get off this kitchen work top now Bond?

a cows TAIL Bond funnytvprog

Stupid thing is my dad lived in Newbury ,so I could
and never had ANY contact with him at ALL ,my parents
divorced when I was 2yrs old in 1944 ,he remarried
twice ,the 2nd wife June gave him my 1/2 sister Dawn
who passed away in her 50's I was 15 and a half years
older than she but we seemed to have a common bond
when we met the first time in 1979 when I went over
for Wendy's wedding and stayed with him a week before traveling
down to Plymouth ,and my dad was in 7th heaven seeing his
"two babies" together and getting on so well ...

All of this I could not tell my Mum about in case even after ALL
the years she had been divorced from MY dad ,my step father would hear
and start being "funny" in one of his weird moods towards her ....
VERY insecure man and slightly
he was AFFECTED by a FULL or NEW moon for SURE we never knew which
way though that he would swing ...

OK back to work

WOT's this SELF SERVICE to the
rumble of your hoover  Bond nono
Going to have to dock your pay ££ young man !!

A mixed bag today on and off showers but
MUCH more humid fan fan

All that you see this morning is talk about
"Florence" who it seems is now going to hit
tomorrow during the day as a Cat 3 Hurricane
dropped down just a tad ,but NOW its looking like
its going to take a LEFT HAND turn so could impact
Georgia as well ,certainly a conversation topic chattable

Not going far today as I have to wait in for a UPS pickup
bought myself a UNION JACK steering wheel :driver: cover
SUPPOSED to fit MOST CARS 38" ,but OBVIOUSLY it does
not MY 4x4  so having to return it  and I know UPS DELIVERS
to our house around 4/5pm every day ,but not sure if HE
will also be picking this up or if someone else does that confused2
Its ok though as I have a bit of washingmachine  to do anyway

Hope everyone had a good night ....be back later when the dust
has settled

BTW my mum always said I reminded her growing up
of my dad ,now keep in mind I never MET my dad till after I married Gil
in 1959 and there were NO photo's of him at home because
of my step fathers insane jealousy about him ,could not even MENTION
his name or it would start a fight so I had NO IDEA what he looked like
She would say sometimes "don't give me that OSBORNE look" confused2
Step father was not happy either as I refused to change my last name
to Beckett .....So what do you think do we look alike ?

Vicky I could have SWORN you said you
worked in Owen & Owen's confused2

Sounds like your going off again on
♪ wer'e all going on a holiday ♪ trip Bond

Gil was born in Yorkshire lived there till he was
17 when he moved to Coventry and lived with
his sister{aunt} Maggie ,and we met ...he never
said E by gum either ....

Being a Coventry lass I find I could adapt how I sounded
while living where ever I was ,like my Dad was from Newbury
and said words I came home speaking after spending time with
him ,eg he used to say what sounds like "I went "dane" the road
instead of "down" the road ,know what I mean ? he used to tease
me with what he called my Coventry accent confused2

BTW Vicky when I telephone  the hospital I told the nurse I was
calling from America {always do so they hurry up and don't leave
me with the "meter" running on the telephone ,

The scary thing with "Florence" now they are saying after
it makes land fall it could get "trapped" by another system
that will trap it in place so that means it could drop several FEET
of rain
All we can do is

Hi, do tell,
Its a coach trip holiday so it will be tours with the base in WSM and travel out with free time
I think Princess Margaret looked like a film star, but I didn't know all the things about Tony and his swinging both ways and the child by a friends wife

No sorry Bond it's a bit like  "E by gum"  I've never said that either.....though I've always thought that was Yorkshire and not Lancashire.    I don't drop my H's either. .

Every year they do this around Bristol have different statues dotted around, and you try to tick off all of them....around 60. It's for charity and a great event..    People do come from all over to see if they can find them all.

Yes that's where she used to met Roddy Llwellyn

talktohand Oh I'll second that about Ian being his Dad's double Margaret.

Carole I didn't meet David until 1966 and didn't move to Bulkington until 1969 so I doubt I'd know anyone who worked in Owen Owen...... confused2 Remember I'm a Lancashire Lass. Smile
