So Bond your becoming quite the
actor then I see .....
I was shocked to see a latest photo of Burt Reynolds
it did not really look like him as his features had changed
a lot his face was very thin grey hair ,guess the last few
years were not kind to him ,and he died of a ♥️ attack
I thought he was a very handsome man in his day .....

Just woke Blaine up as he was almost sleeping in ,probably
due to the fact he has been off all these weeks on a Friday
so now hes is running in 2nd gear funnytvprog

Spencer slept over Carmen's last night ,left me here as the
storm was raging ,we had some good boomers and lightening
Buddy had been sleeping in the bay window most of the day
as with the new blinds he can lay there still getting a little of
the sun under the bottom but not getting BURNED like he used to
before with the old blinds ,BEFORE the first rumble or flash though
he lifted his head stared into the kitchen and suddenly he was away
off down stairs where Spencer found him UNDER HIS BED ,Tabitha
on the other hand was walking around , not bothered ,Spencer told
her to tell him he was a BIG CHICKEN funnytvprog
Cute Avatar Bond

I slept well last night not sure why did not wake up until 330am
laid back down and woke at 505am

Any who I am off today to look at some dryers as mine has been struggling
of late plus its probably not as energy efficient as it could be these days
so while I still have the funds THAT is what I am getting

MORNING LADIES ,going to be a duller day today ,they are
watching Hurricane Florence more closely as those European weather
computers are indicating that it could come closer to US than the
others they watch affraid  so this time NEXT week we will know who
was right or wrong
run run run run

Good morning all from Atherstone a bright morning here,
will there be more interest in BB now with the passing of Burt?
I was late back in last night after the end of the play and a tidy up
A play that I did have a bit of a walk on part.
It was a small play with one of six in the evening, the his is a play were all things go wrong with the set and props, so one part a big curtain falls down from the pole hat I made to fall down and theres me standing there so I smile and give a little wave a bit like Eric Morecombe,
Breakfast and it's cornflakes and cold or hot milk toast and marmalade Coffee tea orange juice and large L&L

They make great flavours these days Bond.       I do love the pork & apple.  though Benjie has the normal ones....well 3 sausages cooked, sliced up and put into a tupperware box and over the week he has a couple of slices in the  morning for breakfast.

So you're already booked up for easter.

Even at 4 years old the donkeys and ponies
were not fast enough for Ian, he was always
trying to make them go faster which upset
the owners!
He liked rides like Space Mountain and
the Matterhorn ride at Disneyland.
Of course he was not old enough or tall
enough to go on them alone yet.
He would go on the Autopia cars which
were on a rail system and "drove" me round.

One funny story comes to mind talking about
Disneyland. It was just after the Pirates of the
Caribbean had opened. We were all in a boat
on a rail again and on the first ride through he
ducked down in the bottom of the boat and hid
for the whole ride. As we were coming up out
of the ride and we were telling him what he missed,
he said "can we do it again?"
You can imagine how long the line was to go on
it again!
Of course he went on it many times over the
years.
He was amazed when he went to school how
many local kids had never been to the park.
It was much, much cheaper in those days too.

My dining group went to El Torito's Mexican
restaurant last night, I had a chicken salad
with their own dressing on it. It was in a large
taco shell laying on its side with refried beans
and a pretty array of salad and chicken
spilling out over the plate.
We always get corn chips and salsa while
we wait and they serve a great Cadillac
Margarita. (I only had one).

Tonight its my meeting, I wonder how many
we will get this time.

I am feeling the effects of something, it maybe
just a cold so taking some vitamin C and Zinc
and a spoon full of honey for the sore throat.
Hope its not the flu already as I have not had
my shot yet and I always do it in Sept. I will
have to wait a few days and if its gone
I will get my flu shot Toot-sweet.
Its another over cast start today which is usually
our May or June weather. It does clear up in the
afternoon so enjoying the coolness while I can.

To have a new pneumonia shot costs about $300
even at the Drs. I am going to wait a while on that.
Its because its stronger than the one they are using
at the moment. I remember when the flu shot
cost that much when it first came out. Its free now
under my medical plan.
Its time for me to start work here, lots to do again
as usual. My mind always works faster than my body
these days. TTFN

New Avatar is of my sister Wendy
that she sent me yesterday after having her
hair done {she was DARK haired like me Mum
and our brother Dean as the only one who took after
my step father was the youngest sister Donna who is a
true blond } I like Wendy dark haired but her husband
Derek like the "blonde" look so I am overruled
Wendy NEEDS a woman's input regards clothes etc
seems she was not wearing the correct size bra etc even after
she went into a shop and was supposedly measured
So Derek did it and found she is a 40 C cup so I sent two
good bras and the top she is wearing and WHALLLA
she looks great I think
She was looking like a bit of an old "frump" wearing clothes
too old for her {65} as I said she has no female friends to
advise her that live close as they live in an area in Plymouth
of older retired people it seems confused2

soapbox "To be or NOT to be"
Your getting to be quite the actor then Bond funnytvprog
Matthews birthday was yesterday Bond the only reason I knew
was I saw Rob had posted it on FB , nono BAD Nana for
not saying anything .....

Well I think like everyone else I am getting tired of this heat
now ,a BIG reason I could NEVER live with my daughter as I
like cooler temps and the three full seasons
Today AGAIN it will be in the high 90's low 100's starting off in the high 70's
but that is also coming with the high humidity numbers and
we will get some thunder storms later this afternoon that should
cool us off for tomorrow even though it will still be on the humid
side over night

Looks like they are keeping a close eye on "Florence "
that is barreling across the Atlantic as a cat 3-4 Hurricane right now
that could impact the east coast next Thursday ,but as they are saying
that is a way off yet and things could change ....

So is Vicky full of and that is why SHE did not come back
in confused2

Hope Marge had a good night ,I woke up twice and Buddy still seems
to think my GET UP time is 4am ,but I stayed my ground and did not get
up until 4-57am

The roast beef went over well last night ,I had some of the Mac N cheese
I had left over from Tuesday in the fridge so along with all I had put
on Blaine's plate he had the small container of THAT as well Rolling Eyes
I asked him if he was hungry and he
So today I have two quick errands to run before it gets TOO hot
pay the cable and UI bill I could have Spencer pay the UI {electric}
on his phone but I need to get some more cat treats anyway so might
was well drop that off while I am in there as you can pay your bills
in the Stop N Shop shopper store and the Cablevision office
is right down the road

So I shall be back later

MORE L & L PLEASE BOND when your done

MORNING MARGE MORNING VICKY

Glad your going to be able to do some chores Marge
as in this weather one certainly does not want to do
on!y the bare minimum

I see*Gordon* is racking havoc on Mississippi and Alabama
the amount of rain expected is not good for them..

Tracie had a beautiful three wheeler bike that we had to
leave in the UK in 1967 ,she has never let us forget it
and I think one of the reasons she OVER INDULGED
her two when they were growing up

Marge they picked up our garbage today ,the only day
here in CT they delay by one day is if Xmas falls on a
weekday otherwise it's business as normal ..
I have two of those large wheelie  bins from the City
(Stratford does not supply them had to buy our own)
This week being as we cleaned out the garage they
we're both full ,normally it's only 1/2 to 3/4 full

Tracie finished her Medical Assistant training  has to get some
certification and a job now

Be back later

Another very overcast start to the day here,
It actually looks like rain but that's only in the
mountains and deserts caused by the
unstable air.
It is a cooler morning so just right for doing
a bunch of chores.
I think the garbage pick up is a day late this
week as they usually have Labor Day off.
Not that I have much to put in them.
It takes about two weeks to have enough
in them to bother putting them out.
Even then they are only half full!
(BIG bins!)

When you think about some of the modern
electric cars they make for kids these days
and how much they cost, a vintage car is
not that far out of line. The Cadillac Escalade
one about that price or even more.
I don't know what was wrong with the old
pedal car ones. Ian had a Sterling Moss
type green bullet type racing car when
he was about 4. Only problem is ,they do
outgrow them.

Not much to report otherwise here.
A abnormal number of Big Rig crashes
with cars involved on our freeways
.(usually because they try and over take a big
rig and cut back in too soon)

See they are trying to get licensing hours
lengthened here, how about being able to
buy liqueur until 4 am in the morning!
No escape from drunks or druggies at all.
I guess its all the bars and off licenses
will be losing trade to the Pot head shops.
I can see having regulated shops or pharmacies
to fill prescriptions for medical pot but not for
casual use. Its just swapping one drug for another.
I guess they think its better to have it taxed and
regulated.
Wish "they" were more forward
thinking in regulating the prostitute trade.
I think "red light " districts would do away
with all the pimps and have the girls be
checked on a regular basis for VD or Aids
and they would be doing it because they
want to not because someone is forcing them.
That is only my opinion but after seeing the
"red light"districts in Amsterdam and Hamburg
it makes more sense to me.
It would also stop the girls who are addicted to
drugs from working there also.
(it would apply to boys as well).
That's my Ed/Op for the day.

Need to get some breakfast and take my pills like
a good girl then its off and run TTFN

Ding ding Bond.......crumbs it's been a long long time since I've rode a bike.

Yes it's warm out there now.  sunny    went out with a jacket but I soon took it off.

Didn't do the big shopper  today.....will do it tomorrow.

Went and picked the book up which I'd ordered and then bought the one I'd seen on the shelf and ordered the two books which make up the three.      I've started reading "The Lovers" written by Irina Shapiro.....flits between London 1664 and London 2013.  and so far I'm loving it.   When we got home a book had been pushed through the letter box, I'd ordered it from Amazon it's all about the village Susan lives,  she had been talking to this guy about some of the old photos in the village hall and he was telling her various things, Susan said to Terry (Matt's best mate)  "I've just been talking to that guy over there he's been telling me all about the village from way back" and Terry said "Yes there's a book written about it, I've got one....well it's Alan's the guy you were talking to"  Susan thought he meant the book Terry had belonged to Alan....but no Alan had wrote the book.   So I ordered it, I really should get one for Susan also.

Then we went to Palmers.....small palmers  Ullesthrope  and had BLT.....and a cuppa.

Back later......in a mo, having a crisp sarnie.

I am back ,dropped the 4x4 off for them to test drive
and see why the ABS is kicking in when it should not
Then Tony {1/2 owner with his brother John who runs the office}
dropped me back home along with another customer who lives close
to their shop ,so waiting on a telephone

Because it was overcast when I left and returned I decided like
an idiot to run the mower over the front grass as its not been done
now in almost three weeks ,got it done JUST as the sunny came
out and WAS I GLAD as I was by then SWEATING BUCKETS
So cooling off ,have a r/beef in the oven for dinner, made the lads sarnies
for work and I can sit till they call me ,either telling me I have to dish out more
$$$ or its what THEY installed and they are fixing it confused2

That book Vicky is the true story of a man who dies in the 911 towers
the man who wrote the book married his widow ,hence the title ,its very moving
they say ....

Guess once the cooler weather settles in I might be able to get stuck
into my Kindle books ,we can only hope

OK Bond I am ready for another cool drink please
Be back later though run run run

We went out and and watched the tour of Britain's bikes go by the bottom of our street
The outstanding thig was the motorcycle police out riders who job was to get in front and make a rolling road block, there was at least 30 possibly more doing at least 60 mph they were flying
Right done the big shop fridgefood do its time for a drink and a biscuit

I'll look up that Book Carole.

I'm going to order another 3 books (I think one of the books is on the shelf though)   the assistant at the big Palmers I go to told me about these 3 books....same family down the generations, she took the 3 on holiday with her and said she loved the books, apologised for not passing the books onto me but they belonged to a friend of a friend....of course I wouldn't expect her to loan me the books even if they had belonged to her friend,  ok she knows I look after my books but still she doesn't really know me.  Anyway I've put the titles in my "To buy" list.     So I'll look that book up Carole.  Thanks.

Ok must away.

{wonder if you can see what I did that if I had looked
at him I could have seen his Dad as they are/were so alike
but not SEEING Gil all those years I had no idea what HE LOOKED LIKE,
people at work saw it right away when Gil came back in 1996}

LOOK OUT BONDS ON HIS ROUNDS hoover
Weather DITTO hot humid well for us here in the western
part of CT
One more day then tomorrow afternoon a few thunderstorms
should pop up as the atmosphere cooks up

They are watching Hurricane Florence who according to some
models could be hitting Bermuda then heading CLOSE
to us here on the East coast ,so our weatherman is HOPING
they are wrong and that it steers away from us
Then next week due to that being so close we will be getting some
Monday and Tuesday {when Chelsea and I head for Port Chester NY}
bad enough traveling on a major highway with out it being wet
and SHE will be :driver: headbanger confused2 ah well what can I do

OK so dropping the 4x4 back off today so hope they do not have
it too long ,as they are dropping me back off here

SO WHATS LEFT .....   MORNING LADIES

Hello Marge sounds like a great time was had

Vicky don't be silly ,how can Tabitha have kittens
she was fixed 7 yrs ago ,unless by immaculate conception funnytvprog

Marge I was wanting to take buddy to a vet for a check up
but with Gil ,I never had chance ,the only reason I am holding
back right now is figuring how to get him into a cat carrier
and how he would be when they take him out as he is still
not a cat who likes to be picked up a lot ..

Well better go put the steak in the air fryer ,then make
some Mac n cheese to go with it ?

Brave lad Bond all done without even a *local * @

Vicky one more BASH with that plank me thinks

mine was homemade peach coffee cake.
Things like brownies are too rich for my
tummy.
I think there is enough for a generous slice
each with either whipped cream or ice cream.
All my pinwheels were eaten up so I was glad
of that. My card table and Ice chests have been
returned already so its wipe them down and
put away for the next time.

Not heard from Ian yet so wonder if it was the 5th
and not the 3rd he was returning home.
Its been a l. o. n. g holiday for him and Rebecca with
F&MIL. and he was complaining that he did not want me there
for 3 weeks over Xmas again!
Its all about the in-laws, well I can get myself into London
any time I want if I need to so tongue tongue tongue

Carole, have you ever taken buddy
to a vet? They would have made
a note if he had been fixed or not.
You could find out if some one at a
low cost neuter and spay clinic
could check him out for you. Or
tell you how to check.
Neutered cats live longer and get
fewer cancers than unfixed ones.
He looks in the pink right now.

Our labor day do drew about 30+ people
who bought lots of food and soft drinks
and we all sat at tables like a restaurant
under the shade of a huge tree.
It was a bit cloudy to start with but the
sun did show up and a nice breeze started
so we were quite content to sit and visit
with each other. we got a bit silly by waving at
each car that drove by and then saying "did you
know who that was?" and every one said "no",
but we just kept doing it!
At one point we had a couple of squirrels
show up in the tree and start a fight throwing
seeds and dead leaves at us before
running away. It must have been 2 males
tussling for territory.
(lucky it was not acorns or pine cones)
Must write a thank you note to Nancy for
hosting this event.
Its quite cloudy again this morning but its already
70f with 80% humidity. The high for the day is
expected to be 75f.
I really should buckle down to work here as I have been
using the hot, humid weather as a excuse for only doing
the basis chores. Its hard when only minor jobs make
the sweat run off you.
Lorna has finished making room in her garage for the
Lexis hard top convertible so I have my bins back.
Wish I could do the same but I will eventually.
I MIGHT even get both cars in at some point!
