Yes that's what David and I were saying they'd be a knock on affect but hopefully it wouldn't upset Margaret's travel. Oh and Carole it's Gatwick not Gatewick.

Ok back later......having chicken portions & chips for dinner.

Heard from Marge ,she's ok and did land at Heathrow
but said because of the drones at Gatewick of course
it was affecting flights into and out of Heathrow so a
lot of unhappy travellers ...

Well popped to the store and decided to pick up the bulk
of what I would have gone to get Sunday ,so guess I'm
done
Picked up the last present so all done with that as well

Funny thing the driver from the oil company told me he was from
Serbia as I was wishing him a Merry Christmas
I am sure you will have a nice holiday Bond ,and I am sure
there are MANY places in the world that are beautiful
Ok being as it's only Blaine and me tonight eating ,think
it's going to be Wee Wa delivery

Croatia's a lovely place Carole.....Choccy Penguin's been going there for years, he's got a Croatian mate (Cov City Supporter)  who he goes over to see from time to time..     You'll have a lovely holiday Bond.

Started my next book a follow on from my last book.....The Unforgiven by Irina Shapiro.

I see the Government are talking about those who have had solar panels since April being forced to hand the spare electricity to the grid and get nothing in return.    That's not on, hope the Government do not go down that road ok so the companies will be all for it but it's not their electricity, buy it back by all means but to take it from those who have paid, and heavily, to have solar panels,   nono

Gatwick is still not 100% up and running.....so glad Gatwick wasn't the airport Margaret was due to land.

Hi Carole........oh so Margaret should be ok then, good, as soon as I heard about Gatwick I thought of Margaret straight away.

Yes I'm a bit worried about Bond not showing up, hope everyone's ok.

Well I think I'm getting my appetite back.......which is about time, the amount of weight I've lost

Finished my book.....it's brilliant and I will be keeping.

Oh be careful on FB guys it's come out that others, who aren't your friends, can also read your private messages, they know 70million FB members have had their private messages read by other people who can just go straight in and read anything you've put meant for just a friend to read.

Ok back later......

WHAT NO BOND
morning Vicky I believe she is going into Heathrow
as she mentioned having a wheelchair because
of the long walk ,which I REMEMBER was LONGGGGG

The weatherman just said IF we were colder that
this storm getting here tonight would bury us under
30"+ of SNOW ,,,,last time we actually had THAT amount
32" was back in 2012 just before we moved back here with
Spencer ,we could not dig out for THREE DAYS and Chelsea
ended up walking or trying to to a neighbor at the other end
of North Abram who had a big snow blower and he made it down
the road to help dig the drive way out as even the town plows
were not getting down the side roads trying instead to clear
the main drags first Mad

Anyway hope Bonds OK maybe he THOUGHT he posted again
like he did before confused2

I have to wait in until the oil delivery has been as I get it
cheaper if I pay cash ,then I have to run get one thing more
and I am DONE Xmas present present shopping was
going to give $$ but I still think that is SO inpersonable so
picked up a couple of things and wrapped them ,sent Tracie
the $$ though as THAT is what she NEEDS
Her friend has moved in she said ,but is away for the week for Xmas
so Tracie is dog pet sitting Charlie Joannes dogwalk and her catmilkbowl

I SO she finds a job in the new year

Ok be back I guess
have a good day Vicky

Morning......and it's a nice morning.

Now does anyone know which airport Margaret's is landing? There's problems with planes landing or taking off at Gatwick due to drones flying about. Mad

Where's Bond this morning.....the is cold.......I'll get some drinks going jam & marmalde, cornflakes, cold and hot milk.

they may be coming down
on their own Friday ,forecasting now
along with the 3+ " of heavy
now showing what the winds could be gusting
up to .....70mph Shocked
Heard from Marge ,was sitting at the airport
waiting on the to start ,I did say
she could have mine
Just hope her flight does not run into these
two storms that are merging one from Marges side
that dropped a rare tornado near Seattle Washington
and the other coming up through the Gulf
I believe her flight left around 2pm her time which
was 5pm mine ,so figure being as she's 3000 miles away
from me she should be passing over my head around
10pm my time so hopefully will not run into any of it
as it forms ...

Anyway I am showered and watching the ABC evening news
before going into bed
Speak tomorrow zzzzzzz

Carole, when you have done this as often as I have
(not bragging) with Peter its a treat to manage for
just myself. Its only for a week anyway.
Big Case is packed ,so is the cabin rollaway and
my handbag. James showed up last night at around
9pm with my boarding pass so now I have 45 minutes
until Lorna picks me up. She is taking me very early as the
check in does not open until 2 hours before take off and they
start boarding 1 hour ahead of take off time. She has to be at work
by 1:30pm so with dealing with construction at the airport will
slow us down and I don't mind, I have 3 books on my kindle!

Its so the crew can see what they are dealing with so they do
not have to come back to the gate after push off.
(which has happened more than a few times).
The crew have to be able to take a passengers luggage
off if they don't show up for their seat on time or,
If they look drunk or aggressive.
Captain makes the final decision.
I will try to send messages through FB messenger Carole.
TTFN

Ian just called to see how I am doing

Did the smaller then usual shopper  this morning......we'll be doing the rest of the shopping on Sunday.    Got    her mince pies and some double cream as well.....which she hadn't asked for this time but I got some anyway and I didn't accept payment, though she did offer.....but hey it was less than £5  so  confused2

It's quite warm out there......went to little Palmers had a BLT sarnie,

Yes our Company was right by one of those walls Bond....I used to love walking by them imagining all the people throughout the years who's stood gossiping by those very walls....if those walls could only talk.

Later.....

Morning Bond that would be 50f in what
we still use and as I said we will be at 60f  {15c} by Friday
but with a BAD BAD  and strong WIND storm
coming up he says from as far away as Puerto Rico
winds gusting he is saying around 52mph nono
and with the moon that is  NOT GOOD

But today and Thursday will be fine not as windy so will
not feel as cold as it did yesterday

Yes Penny Marshall's whole family are talented her brother
has done a LOT of shows/films etc Gary Marshall ....

Before going any further I would like to HOPE that when
Sir G popped in last night around 5pm GMT ,it was to wish
us ALL a Merry Christmas ,but looking around  I guess
it was only to check in with his "favorite" confused2
as I see no left any where ,funny as I was beginning  to
wonder WHERE he had gone to funnytvprog

Marge do you have butterflies ,I used to when taking any
trips ,but sounds like your all prepared so as I said last night safe trip
and hurry back
If you can let me know how you are via FB messenger

Ok another day another dollar as we used to say when at work
So be back later I forgot the white vinegar when I went out yesterday
so have to pop to the store to get a couple of bottles as I want to
clean my electric   out

Morning Vicky ,so HOW WAS SIR G THEN ??

She was so funny and a brilliant director
like her father.

This state deals with a lot of homeless people
especially in winter time as its much warmer here
out on the streets and the benefits are among the best
in the nation.
Its the mentally ill that cause the most problem not
the drunks or drug addicts. The local paper did a
undercover survey of how much a bum could make in a
day and was told it was about $200 a day just panhandling!

Just waiting for James to show up and did a VISA
notification of travel with my card . Next its the
Police vacation notification, it won't take long.
Packing the case will not take long as everything is laid out
as I said, Its just fitting everything in so it is orderly.
Shouldn't have to use any of the outside pockets at all.
Just finished the cats litter boxes so nice and fresh.
I aim to have enough to keep warm if I need it.
Just like France some days it was a Long sleeved T shirts and
a fleece vest and some days it was the Pea Coat with scarf and
gloves.
Most of the travel while I am there will be in Ian's car except
when we go up to London for the day.

Evening all ,that is why I do not give $$$ to
these guys /women even who stand on corners
or outside stores or accost you in the parking lots
asking "can you spare some change" or can you
spare a couple of $$ as I need bus money
The guy I see most stands at an intersection and
so I see him when I go shopping ,his name is Victor
and I believe he has a room as I have caught him walking
along the road a few times ,I normally make him something
hot to eat and give him a coffee and I know he's legit as
he most times sits down and eats and drinks what I give him

I did ask him once it he had access to a microwave as I was
going to give him something to cook later ,but he said he did not
so I always try to give him something hot

Anyway did leave a note for the landlord about the trees in
the envelope when she comes to pick up the rent money order
for Dec....

Hope Marge has time to pop in before she leaves tomorrow
Will miss her chit chat
But safe travels is what I wish for her

See ya all tomorrow

BTW FULL MOON and of the week

Oh I know all about being controlled ....though I'm so used to it now .....I do have credit card but I don't use it, David knows his money is safe, ....I do get £100 of my pension money at the end of the month but that's it, once that cash is gone...it's gone....though I have borrowed off David but always pay back as soon as I can.    I always pay in cash though.     I really enjoyed going with Susan shopping last year when she came up here, we went off together just her and me, it was great.

Is that the empty shop on the corner of the town Bond where the co-op car park is?    The last time we went into the town we saw 3 people sitting in that doorway chatting away.....in the middle of the town you often get a busker, David is very against me giving them any money and of course you do have the professional beggar who's not really a beggar.   I do feel for the homeless though, some people have had good jobs and then the worlds caved in and they've lost everything and ended up on the streets..

I see they have cleard out a couple in a doorway at the old 21 shop in nuneaton there was loads of rubbish. Sleeping bags blanket s and bag's .now they are putting up a gate to keep them out as they have a couple of other doorways. There dose seem to be a so called homeless on every street corner

Marge you keep saying your ready for
the cold weather ,but they are saying
it's going to be in the 50's over there ,
unless you consider that cold
The left side of the is also going to be warm
while your away

We were the opposite ,Gil preferred to pay cash
and the only reason he agreed to get a bank account
was when his UK pension was being sent from home
and they needed a bank account in his name to deposit it
but he never used a cc card or wrote a check in his
life ,I did all that if needed ,he supplied the $$$ I paid the bills  and
that's why I had the cash when he passed to pay for his cremation with
the cash he accumulated in his *white envelope* as Chelsea used to
say ...
TWO DOZEN mince pies Vicky ,any chance you could pick
ME up a few things I forgot duck

It took many years before I got a CC of my own.
I was "allowed" to use Peters card if the need
arose but was still on the cash or check long past
most people were paying by CC.
I found out from a councilor that it was a method
of control on his part so demanded I have a little
account of my own and an ATM card to spend
as I wanted on anything I wanted.
In actual fact, it saved him money in the long run.
Luckily he agreed that he was "looking after" me
a bit too closely.

Not like Ann's husband who when we got home after
our weekly window shop with a bit of buying already
had a full account of what she had bought at every store
and how much it cost. He had a computer tracking
device that let him know the instant she used a CC!
That's engineers for you. The down side of being
a wiz at maths!
Everything is set for packing and James will be by later
with a hard copy of my boarding pass.
Packing itself is easy as its for nine days counting travel days.
not 3 or 4 weeks as we have in the past.
I am prepared for cold weather.
It was quite warm here yesterday and looks like it will be
again today. Got the suitcases down and decided that
I would go with the valet case as the pea coat can go in it without
it wrinkling too much.
I will be wearing a much lighter jacket to travel in as I don't want to be
lugging around a big coat as well as a valet, a rollaway and a handbag.
Until the valet case gets checked in.
I am having wheelchair assistance this time as it means I will be walking and
standing less and I don't have to take off my shoes this time!
I get to wait in the posh lounge they have instead of at the gate so less chaos
and noise. (I can have a drink and a snack).
I have given myself some homework to do to pass the time. I am transposing
my rough notes on Barry's grand father into a large note book while on the plane.
I
I rarely watch the TV or listen to music. I prefer to read or use my ipad to play a
game or two. I don't sleep much while flying so its good to have something I can
do that won't bother anyone else.
I wont be leaving here until around noon tomorrow.
I stopped drinking plain water from the planes tank years ago after a nasty bout
of noro virus on a Virgin plane and they do provide hot flannels in upper class
before you eat, everything is sealed so the tray is the least of my troubles.
The issue with the seats is no more than if you go to the cinema these days.
Its people who don't wash their hands after using the toilets that is more
of a problem.
Well,Its off to the races now so TTFN

Hi all. Its not very nice out there I've not moved out of my chair only to make a drink
Been watching and playing some of Alan Bowns records on YouTube
No you possibly wouldn't of heard of them Vicky I think they were only on top of the pops once in black and white days but had a big fan base for their shows in the late 60s always a sell out at the George at Hinckley
No Carole Mrs b has her own card but uses our joint one . she is very much of what's yours is mime and what's mine is my own

MAMA MIA its cold out there despite
the brilliant sunny and blue skies
Only went out and picked up two 25lb bags
of wild bird seed ,some rice ,air fresheners
and toilet cleaner
Could not WAIT to get back in as that WIND
takes your breath away
Reminds me of the song "jack frost NIPPING at your nose"
only it was MORE than my nose

Ordered 100 gal of heating oil that will be delivered Thursday
prices are dropping a bit {same as the dollar as my pension was
less this month due to the rate of exchange }
Anyway even though there is still just about a 1/2 a tank left
{275gal tank } the way its been keeping the furnace going with the
colder temps ,I do not want to deplete it too low ,$231
Of course they are saying we could hit 60f Friday along with
the storm that HAD IT BEEN white would have BURIED US
but its supposed to drop again after so confused2

Going to watch "Flea Market Flip" with Buddy now {couple find old items to
refurbish and then resells them and whom ever makes the most
profit wins $5000,} you should SEE some of the "JUNK" they change
and what they get PEOPLE TO BUY at prices all I can say is THEY ARE ALL NUTS

OK just making a 2nd ,is Bond still around ?

Bond's said it......WET....pleased you're travelling tomorrow then Margaret.

So Mrs B's going to the hairdressers today Bond and getting bits and bobs also today.....I think we'll be staying in again as well, though of course Benjie will be off out for his *short* walk.

I'd find out about the trees Carole, as you said if they came down, get onto the landlady as you say.....and do it sooner than later.     Like TODAY.

Alan Brown Set Bond..... confused2 can't remember them.

A bit of a memory time today as just heard of the death of Alan Brown .the leader of the Alan Brown Set .a great band of the late 60s a fantastic live band . never did much in the studio but on stage great musicians .I must read it again but I seem to reamber he was one of the John Barry seven in his early days
Music again bringing happy memories

morning Bond feel the same way
this morning after waking a few times hearing
the WIND howling it was REALLY GUSTING
hard ,that is when I worry about these big trees
that should anyone of them come down would
crash through the roof out back affraid ,they are not
even in OUR garden but are over the wall that divides
the property ,and that is all wooded area so not quite SURE
WHO owns it
Going to have to get onto the Landlord so she can find out
Only in the 20's today as well as the dear weatherman promised
even though its going to be dry and sunny today
feels like the teens 17f /-8c in Bridgeport  brrrrr

So you sent Mrs B off to finish up @ Bond ,BRAVE lad assuming
she has her OWN CREDIT CARD funnytvprog

Before I forget ,just heard a report on hygiene MARGE
suggest you take some wipes with you as they just said
the trays that you get your meals served on have more germs on
them than a TOILET SEAT even though they "clean" them
So the program suggested WIPING DOWN trays arms of chairs etc etc

OK so hope Vicky is this morning
I should pop out for more bird seed and suet but will see how I feel
later
Thanks for the BTW

Nice surprise as my UK pension went into my bank today was not expecting
it quite yet ,as I guess they have sent it early with the holiday next week
Plus I see Trump is threatening to shut Government over here down
if he does not get his 5 billion for his "WALL" that could affect pensions
THIS side that are due {well mine the 3rd Jan} get a $30 raise next year
as well, 2% better than nothing right confused1

Ok be back later Blaine up in the shower

PS ANOTHER good night with Buddy catmilkbowl

Well done Carole..

No at them moment it's not cold at all Carole......they're saying tomorrow it's going to be wet though, though after that it's supposed to be milder again.

Had another DVD delivered for  I'd bought one she asked me for but I thought I'd order another one  "The Book Club" which we both went to see and fell about laughing at.....so it should cheer her up when she's a bit down, and it'll be a surprise, something she knows nothing about.    The other one she had asked for and I'b bought was "Dunkirk" so two completely different films.

Awww understandable Margaret.

A good report then in view of what you are dealing with.
Its going to take time.
I burst into tears yesterday watching Aretha Franklin sing
"You make me feel like a natural woman" at the
Kennedy honors to its composer Carol King.
The words just got me in a way they hadn't for several
months.
Also hearing Clapton singing a song with words that bring to
mind what Peter told me when we first started going out with
each other "stick with me and I will give you the world".
He did it too!
I have done more and seen more that I ever thought possible
because of Peter.

Had sausage, mash and cabbage and gravy of course.

Another brilliant toy store was Barnby's which also sadly closed down.

Susan's got lots of teddies.....a lovely one she's got is a cheer leader with a little red skirt and cream top.    Though she always bought a teddy when she went into the Rock Cafe.
