Carole I hope you're not saying you put photos of Tracie on FB from 11 weeks.?   We're being told never to put photos of children on FB.....perverts are taking them off FB and sending them around to other perverts.    Or any website ......I wish I hadn't put photos of my kids when little on here, I shouldn't of done.   Bad idea these days.

Well been nattering to  she's got some doughnuts for us tomorrow.....Mmmm sounds good.

Avatar is a pen & ink sketch of a church I used to go passed on my way to school.

Thank you for the birthday wishes
Tracie rarely goes on face book ,and
she hates it if I mention her age so had to
skirt around THAT this morning when I put
the pictures on of her from age 11 weeks
when me mum and my Nan all posed with
Tracie in her christening gown for a Four Generation
photo through the years until the one I posted on
here ....

Just popped up to Big Y ,only spent $40 ,my regular cashier
Jocelyn said THAT'S IT? funnytvprog

Back home made Spencer's work sarnie as he works tomorrow
Blaine does not ,also made a meal out of some left over pork
that I had cooked and sliced up ,sliced an onion over it with
a can of mushroom soup ,and did some sprouts steamed cauliflower
with it
Now I am done ,watching one of my favorite tv shows* Fixer  Upper *
with Chip and Joe in Waco Texas who do amazing things with old
houses ,and are a very natural family not put on like some on TV
can be
Lovely outside went to the store in just my sweater ( and pants of course Bond)

Back later

Hi gang.......and a  to Tracie.

We've been to little Palmers had cheese & tomato

Oh we have brill butchers over here Carole....Frank Parker's butchers at Abbey Green has won awards for his butchers....it's a family concern, Dad, sons and a daughter ....Susan's mate Jessica's Dad married (second time round)  into the family.....Susan was telling me about the cars they all drive and the houses they all live in....talk about money in the butchers trade.   But it is a top butchers.   and from what's said about them a lovely family..

Yes Bond people put too much on FB about themselves  nono   shouldn't.

It's not that bad out there again today,  I expect Scotland is a lot colder though, but Susan & Matt will be wrapped up warm.     While they're away for the weekend they've had the painter in to do the en-suite and bedroom.    handy not being there.

Right I'm off to telephone  while David's watching F1.

BTW Bond yes she owned 57 Manors at one time.

Later......

Ah,Pikletts !
Wish we could get them here.
The rules for what foreign food
stuffs are allowed in this country
are crazy. I used to be able to buy
them at our local Supermarket but
not anymore.
Pam says the restrictions on some things
has her pulling her hair out at times.
Sausages, Pork pies, scones and such
are made here in the US by small
companies that specialize in such
items. They look and taste the same
as they are made from original recipes.
(we don't ask how they got them)

Cost Plus World Market is a good place to
find certain items at Xmas time.
I just bought a jar of Scottish Lemon Curd
for Lorna which has less sugar in it so
is nice and tangy.
They have original mincemeat too.
I can only get REAL British fruitcake
from Pam's British Imports.

You would not believe what the Americans
call fruitcake here, it has nearly no cake,
its all candied fruit with no marzipan or
icing and its become a joke that no one wants
to actually eat any but you can use it as a door
stop!
Its the gift you give when you cannot think of
what to give someone.

Sun is out again this morning, its still a bit hazy
out there but its seems to be only along the coast.
There is not a breath of wind at the moment,
its in the upper 60s after a night in the mid
50s.
The only shopping I am doing today is for more
canned cat food. My two go through the tiny cans
so quickly and they are licking their dishes clean!
I keep telling them that outside they would be lucky
to catch two mice a day. :-D
I think they are fattening up for a cold winter after
such a hot and steamy summer.

Of course, ours is not a really cold winter by any
stretch of the imagination. Only in the local
mountains does it get cold enough to have
ski resorts. Its rare that we get frost
being at only 12 feet above sea level.

Tomorrow will be the busiest day of the year
at LAX as all the people who went out of town
to families will be coming back.
Did you know that someone started a business
for people who don't want to stand in line all night
to get bargains? You pay $15 an hour for a place
keeper!
Where is the bargain in that? You just spent
what you saved on your bargain!
I don't know where these peoples brain are.

Must go and have some breakfast and get my
day started as its coming up to 10am here.

I am back as well ran over to Stratford
to Shop Rite as Spencer asked if I could pop
into the eye Drs to get a copy of his eye glass
Prescription as he has lost his glasses somehow
needs them for close up
I had tried to get a copy for him months ago
as he has also scratched the lens and I told him
to get a pair made up at Wal-Mart as the Drs charged
him almost $200
They said ,oh no we cannot give YOU IT ,but Spencer is working
and they are closed when he gets out ,anyway he called and even
though it said they open at 9 he got a recording
Anyway when I stopped by they were closed had taken a long
Thanks Giving vacation

Clouding up here now but temps have gone up to 41f at noon
although it does not FEEL IT
Wendy said it's raining in Plymouth and will be all week

Bond watch that svelt  figure

I am sooo glad I don't need to go out
shopping today as it was mad enough on
Wednesday. Some stores were open all night
after being closed for the day yesterday.
Long lines out the door for a chance to get a
really good bargain, only the stores
have limited quantities so its bedlam.
Lorna and I had a lovely time at Teresa's
house, her grown daughter, Cindy does all the
actual cooking with moms assistance.
Got my usual bear hug from Dwayne.
And Cindy's 18 year old son is something else.
They did it buffet style this year which meant
that no one had to pass so many plates around
the table and find places for them.
I opened up the meeting room later but no one
felt the need to unwind so locked up and went
home. I filled my time reading my program book,
Its like a daily reader and its also indexed by
topic at the back of the book.

Its all contributions by other members over the
years and put into a book form with a daily
thought for the day added from many different
people like Helen Keller or Gandi
My favorite is Mrs. Roosevelt's very famous
quote ""Women are like Tea Bags, put them
in hot water and see how strong they get".
I was writing in my note book as well what
the pages said to me personally as we each
work our program in our own way.
Its "Take what you like and leave the rest."
as no one has the exact conditions as
anyone else.
Its like a form of meditation for me to sit
in an empty room in a very serene place
and tend to my soul for a change so its
never wasted time.
Its back to the grind today as I need to
put things back where they should be, like the
portable A/C unit, don't think I will be needing it
for the next few months so in the garage its
going. I can box up some more clothes and
combine it with some stuff that can also go
to the Sally Ann.
I have also been catching up on things like
returning Lisa's baking dish from Labor Day!
I put a box of chocolates in it with a note
and left it on the doorstep.
I also donated three worn out Stars and Stripes
to the local ACE hardware store as they collect them
for the Boy Scouts to burn in a special ceremony.
You NEVER throw old flags in the rubbish here!
I just have some old meds that I need to dispose of
safely now and I think the local sheriffs sub station
will take them. Its either that or a plastic bag with
wet cat litter in it so it destroys the meds and makes
them unusable.
I got rid of all Peters preloaded syringes from his
MS two years ago. Its a shame because it had only
just been opened but nowhere to donate them to.

Rain is all gone now so at least the amount that fell here
washed all the particles out of the air.
Its time for breakfast here, I just fed the cats their
second small can of the morning as they licked
their bowls clean and asked for more!

Of course he is Vicky ,but they left the
thing in his arm Wendy said just in case
I guess maybe with him having problems
when on dyalisis  ,so many times because
his veins kept closing ...

Kids in this generation have NO IDEA
I get the same reaction when talking about how it was when
I grew up

Our first rent on Bolingbrook rd had only the open fire
in the back room and you had to go a step down
into the kitchen out the back door and the outside toilet
was the length of the kitchen outside where the tin bath
was kept on the back of the door ,no such thing as central
heating even where I was born ,it was extra blankets old
army coats black iron irons wrapped in old sheets that
Had been heated on the stove or later a rubber hot water bottle
A different world completely

We're back.....it's chilly out, though it is Nov so we should expect it.      Went to little Palmers  for nibbles.....then a look round and I got a sweater and David got 2 roll neck tops.

Had to stop Rob turned up before the kids did......then the kids came in.....I was telling Rob about the book I'm reading and we were all laughing because John Bishop was saying when at 10 where he lived with his family in Liverpool the council knocked all the houses down so they were re-housed in Cheshire and he was really thrilled to have a loo down stairs as well as up....no putting your coat on to walk down to the bottom of the yard, and they also had a serving hatch between the kitchen and the dining area....I was saying how when we came in here they hadn't put the serving hatch in and we got the builders back to put the serving hatch in, a year later....because we never used it, we bricked it up.  funnytvprog    then of course we talked about when David & I were growing up.....not having loo paper but newspaper cut into certain sizes and put onto a piece of string in the loo at the bottom of the yard.....and just an open fire, no such thing as central heating, in fact the two houses we rented when we first got married didn't have central heating we only had that when we bought our first house in Bulkington.     The memories just made me go into fits of laughter....Rob said "She's off"  Smile

Isn't Henry dried when they pick him up?   He should be....  Benjie is showered and clipped and if his nails need clipped they'll do that, but it costs us £35.

As to your BIL doesn't he have medication to stop his body rejecting the kidney?

Ok back later......

Oh "Hi Bond"

I am DONE ,washed two washingbasket
went to the shopper bought some wild bird seed
as well as the poor things are going crazy looking for food
There is a bush that retains its leaves in the winter and when
the sunny came out they were all sitting FLUFFED up must have
been over 20 sparrows and the Blue Jay were sitting in another one
that hangs over my shed ,they must have had babies as I counted
EIGHT all sitting on my deck railing when I put some seeds out
Besides Blue Jays and Red Cardinals Finch and some others the Wood peckers
were out looking for the suet cakes I normally buy and put out in
these little cage things that hold the suet squares ,so picked up three
of them
My good deed for Nature all done I saw my homeless man I had made
him up two portions of dinner from the left overs ,but when I asked
if he had access to a microwave where he stays ,he said no ,so I bought
him a coffee and sausage MCMuffin from Mc Donalds as I pass them on the
way home ,and told him I would heat the dinners up and bring back either
later today or tomorrow
He sat on the curb and ate what I gave him today so I KNOW he is out there
looking for food or $$ if others give him any to BUY food not to feed any "habit"
So my 2nd good deed ,and now I have some things in the dish washer
that I RARELY ever use ,and I am DONE as I AM KNACKERED
I am beginning to think its my HIP that is making my legs ache ,hope
I am wrong ,have to call the EYE surgeon next week and make an appointment
for him to do the cataract in the New Year when Blaine can take time off

On THAT ♪

I will be back later on my tablet from the COUCH ...can I have a drink
please ANYONE run run run

Told the pilot to get his wheels down
Vicky, he signaled back OCH AYE ,so must have been from Scotland
My mate Maggie Scott just got back from there but
her and Jim drove up from Coventry

Sunny now here but bitter cold although they are saying not quite
as cold as yesterday and THE WEEKEND will have us at
where we should NORMALLY BE in the 50's ,how CRAZY is that
from below freezing to "balmy" temps

Been up since 430am ,got up to feed Buddy as I was planning
on staying in bed a while when I heard this THUD ! ,got up to see
what had fallen and could find NOTHING confused2
So by then I was WIDE AWAKE Shocked so got up and have
my washingbasket washingmachine in
Going to run to the shopper in a while as I need dry cat food
and another Gal of MOOOO

Blaine off work till Tuesday ,but Spencer returns tomorrow so he will be
home tonight to sleep

I see yet ANOTHER in a Mall in Alabama ,,,WHY !!!
they killed the shooter ....

Wendy text they just dropped off Henry for his bath ,he gets bathed
nails clipped and ears checked for £20 and her and Derek wait in
a cafe where she knows the owner until he is ready ,that would never happen
with Saba as they had to make sure he was properly dry being long haired
guess its because Henry is short haired he takes a shorter time

Derek it seems has a "thing" left in his arm just in case the Kidney fails
as I asked her why he still had it after getting the new kidney
its working OK but Dereks veins needed opening more something
that he had problems with when on Dialysis....

OK the sun is STREAMING through the bay window but don't let that
FOOL you

I will be back later

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE

Morning......

No frost this morning Bond so hopefully it'll not be too cold out there.....though David said it was cold but obviously not as cold as yesterday.      Still wrap up warm when you go out though.....and I'll do the same if  we go out.   .

Susan & Matt are at the airport waiting for the    to land for them to go off for the weekend to Scotland and the plane is circling over head but not able to land because of the fog  confused2  .....they're coming back Monday.....if the plane ever lands at Bristol.

Finished my book....it is good but I'll not be keeping, so it'll go to the Charity shelf....going to start reading John Bishop's Autobiography......I bought this book about 2 years ago,    asked if she could borrow it after I'd read it,  hopefully she's forgotten, I will not be mentioning it to her.

Thanks for the breakfast btw Bond.

Oh btw are you watching "I'm a celeb get me out of here" Bond?     What is it with the media and Holly Willoughby .....they think she's wonderful, doing a brilliant job   I don't think she is......and she's certainly not got a rapport with Dec.    And don't get me on about Noel Edmunds....they bring him into the camp and he winds everyone up,  we were all saying what a lovely group of people are in it this time....and now he comes in and you can see the trouble brewing because of him. I didn't watch it at all last year but this year I thought I'd give it a go.

Well dinner was good every body ate
except Brittany who has still to show up
Blaine already gone out ,Spencer just showered
and Dave wants to leave on the 312 pm train
which will get him into New York just before 445
and then he will take the underground to Brooklyn

Marge I have this vision of you in your Union Jack
bow tie and nothing else

Guess I have to also thank Gil as if he had still been
alive by Dec 17 ,the insurance money he left me would
not be here that has been making it a little easier for me
these last 4mths not having to worry about where my
next dollar was coming from ......

Brittany came had a small plate of my food and stayed
almost 2 hrs talking ,now she has to go to her mother's

Anyway have a good evening you all

Just want to wish you all a happy Thanksgiving
from the left coast of the USA.
I have decide to wear my union jack bow tie to
Teresa's (well, there were Brits there you know!)

I have always thought that the UK should have a
Thanksgiving for seeing the back of those nasty
Pilgrims.(only joking).
I have an awful lot to be thankful for even
without Peter being here.
He left me with so many memories of the
fun we had and I am secure financially.
I give thanks for all the wonderful people
who have given me strength since he
has been gone.
Don't know what happened to the wet stuff,
think it all went inland as the ski resorts
have had enough snow to open this weekend.
I presume that it was gentle steady rain that fell
on the burn areas.
No reports of any problems this morning.
Lots of crashes on the freeways though,
silly idiots don't know how the drive
when it get slick after the first rain.
I must dash as I ned to jump in the shower
and pick out what I am going to wear
(other than the bow tie).
I need to be ready by 12 noon as we are to
pick up the fresh baked rolls on the way.
I just hope that Lorna does not want to drive with the
top down!

Yes it was a frosty morning Bond......not that warm out so it's wrap up when you go out.

talktohand  Oh I don't blame you Carole not loaning David your 4x4  with him not having car insurance or being on your insurance......not a risk worth taking, only Susan is on my insurance, and David of course, but neither Steve or Rob could drive my car and I know they're good drivers.

Ok back later....... .

Any chance of some melted cheese done
in vinegar on top of my crumpets Bond ?

Did you ever have that? my Nan would cut up some chunks
of cheddar cover with malt vinegar and bake in the oven
until the cheese melted ,then spread the cheese cheese on toast
TANGY tasting UMMM guess that is WHY I love vinegar and  cheese
OH BOY YUMMY memories flooding back

Well its COLD 18f {-7c} but feels like 5f {-15c} ,and I have to :driver:
David to Stratford for 8am as he told me when he arrived
last night at 7pm that he is running the Thanks Giving race
there ,its only 3 miles but was not expecting him to do that
He wanted to drive my 4x4  over himself but even though
he keeps telling me he is a good driver and never had an accident
I cannot in good faith do that as #1 he is not on MY insurance
and being as he does not OWN a car he does not have car insurance
so GOD FORBID if anything happened talktohand
So I have the turkey breast in NOW along with the cauliflower cheeses
will turn them down when we leave and they should be OK by the time
we return
Also seems even though Spencer slept over Carmen's last night
he will be returning this morning to eat something HERE and he said Brittany
will be stopping by as her mother is serving her family meal at 230pm
Blaine of course ALWAYS eats HERE first before going out to others
houses ,so I have MORE coming than I expected  confused2

I could have done with NO ONE this year just does not seem the same
with Gil not here

So I will wish Marge a Happy Thanks Giving
and I will see you all later as David plans on leaving around 4'ish

Heard from Linda we are getting together soon

We've not had any problem with the lettuce over here......thank goodness.

Twiglets.....haven't had any twiglets for ages,   I'll put them down on my shopping list for next week.

Chocolate covered cherries Bond.....did you melt the chocolate yourself and dip the cherries in.       You're so clever.

Been nattering to Susan for ages and then  .....so it's nearly time for bed.

Tomorrow guys......
