SHE thought he was funnytvprog
It was only when he never turned up at the airport
(Well a couple of days later ) When she could not
reach him ,that the PENNY DROPPED
Often wonder if she learned her lesson

She reminds me of someone with *down syndrome *
but her problem was she got brain damage from
the car accident, she was hit by a car running into
our road outside the house when she was small
She was adopted as was her brother as Jean. could
not have kids ,that almost killed her thinking she had lost
Deb ,so guess she has an excuse somewhat

Yes that was her....Debs.....he wasn't her boyfriend though, none of them were, just a gang of con men chatting her up online, feeding her romantic ideas and getting her to send them money.   Mad

Had to search my memory banks as to
who THAT was Vicky as that's been a few
years Vicky ,but your talking of Deborah Cox
who got taken by her black boyfriend ,she was
SO THICK I unfriended her on fb. as she drove me
nuts with her "holier than thou attitude "
Sprouting God at me with what SHE was doing

Her Aunt Millie (my Godmother who lived next door
to us on Purcell Rd ,but who never acknowledged me
as such) would be SPINNING ,Debs mother was Millies
youngest sister

I so agree with you Margaret about the men...and some women....taking lonely people for fools, though often lonely men think they're talking to a female when in fact they're men, in gangs, in cyber cafe's.   It gets me so angry how they pray on these vulnerable people.   Mad    I always think about Carole's friend you could tell it was a scam and as soon as they hinted "money"   ..."My Mother needs an Op"...."I'd come and see you but can't afford the ticket"

I thought it was bits of mirror you stuck onto your ceiling Bond.   Smile

New avatar is of a house in Trent which is in Dorset....pen & ink done in 1911. we have this hanging in the dining area.

Over here one middle aged woman was
conned out of nearly a million $$$
and still refused to accept that it was
a con even after her family got her on
Dr. Phil show.
He proved beyond any doubt that she had
given away all her life savings to a clever
con artist but she was too proud to admit
that it was real.
It boils down to being depressed and alone
and relying on the internet to be no one
but honest people.
If you were wondering what my little post was
about, it looks as though the Trump White
house are going to be using FB as their next
target to discredit.
Its a fine balance between letting it be as open
as it is and looking out for interests that want to
use it as platform for certain political views.
Trump has no control over it and he is like a
spoilt child when someone has a better toy than
him.
Trumps daughter has been caught using her
personal e-mail to send messages to many
people in government and getting away with it.
Its OK for Republicans but not for Democrats
It seems .

It was very hazy and overcast yesterday but the
sun is trying to break through again this morning.
I am still going down my list of things today as
much as I can.
I need to order a phone charger for my BB after
going to Best Buy and not finding one that was less
that 6ft long!
I am going to Cost Plus to get Lorna some Lemon
Curd and going to pop round to the Chefs Toys
place that has the tiny chain mail glove so
she won't cut herself with her new sharp knives.
There is another special glove that I will order
on the internet for her.
Now I have found a cobbler that will fix my boots
and traveling hand bag so will go there.
I also found a alteration place near there so
that will be another stop.
Then I can phone Gassers to arrange to get
BR towed in.

Peter and I (when he was a poor student )just
after we got married used many full color
pages from magazines that were about art
history that came out once a month.
We would go into Bedford to do certain
shopping and would hit the Woolworths
store for frames.
It didn't matter what color they were ,
Peter painted them black if they were the
right size. He was good at making matts
for them too.
We could not afford the magazine every month
so waited to see what took our fancy and only
bought those with the full page prints that we
liked. 5/- was a lot to pay in those days.
They were printed on quality paper like most
posh magazines were. Now its probably more
Like 5 pound or more!
Its time I hit the road as the amount of traffic is
picking up as it gets to Thanksgiving and the
Xmas shopping frenzy on Friday.

Find out what she did with them Bond.....I do hope she just didn't allow them to be given away or even thrown away,   all she needed was some frames to frame them.....not a hard job.

Yes I  washingmachine   every single day Carole....though of course it's only a handful of clothes per day, being just the two of us, I hate having any dirty washing in the wash basket.

Watching this programme about gangs of men dotted around the world who pray on single women,   conning them out of their money......I was thinking about that friend of yours Carole, in Hinckley was it.....anyway she had a thing about Black men and was such a sucker for the smooth talk.....believed all the lies each guy told her.     I remember when she sent money over for one guy to buy a ticket for him to come to this country and meet her,  none of it made sense, he didn't know what day he would be arriving but he'd bought the ticket ....in that case he'd have the date and the number of his flight.....it just screamed out "CON"    though he wasn't the only one who got money out of her.

I'm having an eccles cake Carole.....no I'm having tomatoes on toast.

I know the mother thought they were worth a bit but I said too much work for me to do
As she knew I framed and mounted my own pictures and did a couple for Mary .I hope she looked after them or sold them to a collecter
Afternoon tea methinks

Thanks for the suggestion about my legs
I had never had any problems with mine
regards veins etc until a few years ago when
I noticed what looked like a bruise on my left leg
just below and to the side of my knee
Showed my Dr and he said oh thats just spider veins

I have always been known as "that limey  girl with the
long hair and nice legs and boobs  "
Something Fran was telling her assistant just last week
about how I wore mini skirts and had good legs and
a nice figure funnytvprog

Well the *boobs* have gone ,and looks like my legs are also
going
Had my minions removed Marge back in the *70*s
Guess I cannot complain I had a good run for my age

Hope your rain is the light kind Marge ,the air quality your side
is very bad could not see the San Francisco bridge hardly
but the weather girl said the rain should help with that

Back later can I have a L&L Bond and maybe a few grapes
duck

Carole, one suggestion, elevate your
legs higher than your body when you
rest. I wear support stockings under
my jeans and slacks for my varicose
veins. They are not that bad but could
have been much worse like my grandmother
Wards (Dads mother) she was tiny but had
legs that looked like it had vines growing
over them!
I used to call my mothers sisters the
"bunion factory " as they all had them
to one degree or another with Chick
being the worst.
Mine are mild compared to theirs.
The one thing I inherited from my mother
was her hands, they look just like hers
in both shape and conformity.

Well, every one is waiting for the rain to
come on Thursday with both hopefulness
and a little fear as the burn areas are being
hastily prepared for the worst.
We need a steady light rain and so far
the radar is showing just that.
Its very hazy outside this morning and the
humidity has risen again. There was a very
heavy dew last night
I thought at first that everyone had watered
their lawns but no, it was heavy dew!

I have been looking online for items made
for handicapped people like Lorna and found
a couple of things that would be a great help
to her with the nerve damage in her left arm
from her breast cancer surgery years ago.

Its getting worse as she is aging so found a
cut resistant metal glove so she can safely cut
veggies again and a special glove for her left hand
that holds her useless fingers together so she can grip
with that hand again.
I have offered time and again to help her but she
won't have it.
I thought if I could find some aids that will help her
with her independence, it might make her feel better.
She gets so worked up when she cannot do what she wants
to do that she ends up hurting herself by accident.
At least its worth a try.
I just finished playing Room #3
Its a puzzle to end all puzzles
Michael says he is going to replay #1 and #2 again before
he tackles #3 . Now I find out there is a#4 , bring it on,
I am ready!
He is part owner of the British Connection with his wife Pam
and loves these kind of puzzles as much as I do. I did have a
few false starts and had to repeat one chapter over but
did not use the cheat sheet that Ian sent me.
Its called a "walk through" and give you more clues how to
solve some of the puzzles.
Its spooky but very addictive.
Its time for me to get going here, I have my list and am
ready to make a dent in it.

Ok mini triffle it is then I thin one of the local bakers used to do them in a stiff paper square bowl I loved them .if they had been standing all day the colour in the sprinkles would run into the cream and they would sell them off cheaper That's when NY mother would buy one and not before
