First topic message reminder :

Good afternoon all
I think Mr Mr Ray Winston would of sent the boys around to sort it out if people mest about with his granddaughter . I think back to me and if I hadn't met Mrs b on new years eve 50 Years ago I would of been off to Australia with mate who did go as both of us had no home life to speak of boat it was a £10 Pom in those days
Sorry to hear your a bit Moby Dick. Carole
I've got some Brownie points today I've gone around the inside windows cleaning them with .hot water .fairy liquid. And vinegar then polishing them with newspaper but its not like the news paper of our days but they do sparkle now
I had a phone call from M&S saying they were back safe and thanking me for doing the kitchen . Sara has gone to the shop this morning so Michael is putting the things back
I think its time for drinks then its sort out the bottle greens ready for hair cut time

I know marge every twist and turn
with Oak Island @
Glad your weather is mild we have gone
back the other way as they said we might come .March
Blaine coming up on his 56th birthday on the 8th
and our GP is having him do the Colon poop  box
test  ,it just came guess it's better than having all
that prep when you have a colonoscopy
That will be the night I lay my head down and STAY
Sleep all night ...
Isn't it Ian who shares his birthday with Blaine ??

So away I shall go then speak tomorrow guys
and Vicky it's just what I said ,you see both logged on
at the same time and you were posting short n sweet
sentences
So guessing he was  chattable to you being as your the
only one he speaks with

The Republicans were trying to prove Cohen can not be trusted
as he lied so.much for Trump ,I cannot see that
he has to gain a lot to lie as he's going to jail and will
certainly be having to watch his back in there .

Nght night last drinks  mrbond

morning
Late on parade again but had a restless night.
Its just once in a while but I cannot fall asleep
and cannot stay asleep through the night.
I just read my Kindle and wait to fall back asleep.
It could be my anti depressant but I don't want to
take sleeping pills as that is a bad habit to get into.
The dose I am on of the antidepressant is just right
otherwise so don't want to mess with it.

The weather is turning here again, its mostly cloudy
but the temps are warmer, its 14c/57f at the moment
going up to a high of 17c/62f and an overnight low of
12c/53f is expected  so showers tonight which so far
have stayed north of us .
they are forecasting rain until Sunday of some kind.
It does not look like a real storm as such just some
showers.

The tree trimmers are still working our local streets.
The grinder makes heck of a noise.

It seems we are going to Texas Lucie's tonight ,our
local rib BBQ joint. Wonder how many will be there
this time!
Found another UK author ,LJ Ross. its set in
Northumberland like Vera.   Its a bit more intense
than my usual murder mysteries  but not into the
horror range.
I like to try and work out who the murderer is
as I read and as usual there are lots of red herrings.

I think Cohen has every right to bash Trump after being
treated the way he was.
Maybe his testimony will encourage others to step forward
and get him thrown out of office.
Trouble is that his followers are taking big donations to
keep Trump in office from the NRA (national rifle assoc.)
They are the biggest lobbyist group in the nation.

The companies still making arms in America are on the verge
of going out of business because of  the overseas trade.
They are slowly being squeezed out by cheaper guns made in China
and Russia. They are flooding this country in higher numbers than
refugees!
its the old story of the king with no clothes, who is going to tell him,
and will he listen! NO!!!
Its going to be a pivotal time in this country come the next elections.
Will the idiot get voted in for 4 more years!
If Trump gets thrown out, his vice president is a strict old fashioned
Republican who believes that women should have no rights at all.
So not a good trade off.

Gardeners are here, I can hear the leaf blower going (gas powered ones
are not allowed in our city anymore).
Time is ticking away here and I am not even dressed yet!

I also watched "The curse of Oak Island" Carole and taped "Finding
your Roots" on another channel.
The Oak Island one is getting spookier by the episode with their main
drilling hole starting to collapse in on its self. I know a lot of its
done to ramp up the nail biting by the viewer but we will wait and
see what happens next!

but the bulk will not fall till later tonight

Ummm I see Sir G logged in 2mins before Vicky
just now ,could that be the reason she is only
one liners funnytvprog

Hi Marge glad you got the video
could only send it to you and bond
as Vicky has no messenger account on fb
You right of course these trees were mere babies
when I first moved here in 1987 ,and have never
been trimmed on saying that ,trying to get
our landlady to fork out ANY $$$ is like
PULLING TEETH ,but hopefully she will see
she needs to pay out especially after the decks built

Glad Melanie and Jim are doing better ,but too bad
Ian has gotten sick just starting his new gig

When do you think you will be able to take BR  in ?
is your weather going to improve so you can get  it in ?

Ok so what happened to Vicky ,or is she still  at me

Things happen that I don't expect every day but yesterday
I must have had ESP. I got up from my desk computer
and walked into the living room and there stood a tree
trimming truck and grinder outside my house!!
Its seems they are giving all the street trees a quick trim.

All the trees in the Xmas lights area get theirs done in
November as they string lights in all the street trees.

I saw your little video Carole and it looks like the trees
have never been trimmed at all to have branches that long.
It should only cost a few hundred $$ to have one tree
trimmed back so it won't break your landladies bank.

I finally got to talk to Melanie yesterday and she has
been coping with a lot of stuff lately but she and Jim
are doing a lot better in themselves so I am thankful
for that. They are in couples therapy and it seems to
be helping a lot. They lost power for a couple of days
and it took out everything so no phone or computer
service and no lights. They do have a propane tank
out back so were able to cook food and make coffee
the old fashioned way on top of the stove.

Ian sent me a message this morning that he has come
down with a head cold but it might be the same bug
that we have had here so he is not a happy camper
right now, He does seem to catch a cold every time
he starts work on a project. I wonder if its all those
dusty, moldy rehearsal rooms they use.
He says with all the nice weather they have had, their
garden has exploded with growth so he is spending a
little time each day getting it back under control.
He also is in charge of cooking dinner each day when
Rebecca is working if he is at home.
Its a long commute for her sometimes. Last week
she had to go to Jersey on a job.

I need to get moving here as I promised myself that
the chores I set myself will be finished by this week end.

Been to the 4x4 repair ,and Tony
one of the brothers who owns Cardinall Motor
Repair checked my steering fluid ,he said it was
only slightly down ,so the noise I heard could have
been when it got air in being cold ,but if it happened
again to bring it over so he could check it
I also got a new battery put in my clicker remote
as I was finding I had to be on top of my car in order
to get the door open etc ,,,
Cooking now

BTW is it SAFE to come up yet

Good after all from sunny Atherstone, and I knew who you ment
No Carole we did the house cleaning today as we will go to Bedworth to sit with him tomorrow
I've just walked into town to take some books to the Hospice book shop, it's the only one left after Atherstone got the name of book town some years ago and two or three small independent books and coffee shops opened, I had a exhibition of paiting in one
But that closed so just the hospice one left
Anyway what I was going to say was I picked up a copy of the March Grapevine
It's a pity they don't do it on line, the is some lovely walks and talks for March
A walk and talk around Manchester
The hatters of Atherstone a that's a free one in the library Wednesday after March the 6th
Yhe the history of Atherstone pubs that's £6.00 with a two course lunch
Battlefield artefacts at bosworth
The importance of digging holes
Joe night
Meet George Eliot
And lots more
Still warm out so coffee on the bottom patio I have the sun

Whose Sam ?
All advise duly noted Vicky
but its not a "park" so do not know who
owns the space ,it sits between the houses
on the street way behind us and the other street
that is Parkview that runs to the left of us depending
on which way your looking & that is a steep hill we have to come up
as Lakeview runs across Parkview a dead end both ends.

As I said I will address it when she comes out next for the rent
or when these guys come when the weather changes to knock
down and rebuild a new deck confused1
run run run run

I said "ok I still say you could phone someone, there must be someone you can phone, what if the tree did come down? Or phone your Landlady tell her to sort it out, don't hold your breath though, so if you can't get her or she won't do anything you Carole have to act before the tree comes down,"   I didn't say "who would you call if it came down"   and if it came down when you or your sons were underneath it well yes you could sue but wouldn't you rather not be injured or have an injured son than money?    Mad

Good advice Margaret hopefully Carole will take it.

Sorry to hear about Melanie though.

That's a good find then Bond..

Just had some fish fingers, mashed potato & a tin of tomatoes.

Back later.

That's the trouble with trees, they do grow over time.

There should be a city or county agency that deals with
this kind of problem. We have a city crew who tend to
what are small areas of passage ways between the streets
and vest pocket parks and they are responsible for keeping
the trees in them trimmed.
If we complain, they send someone out to verify and schedule
a crew to take care of it. They are responsible for all the trees
on our streets on the curb side between the street and the pavement
in our city.
There should be a department within the city limits or the county
limits who this parcel of land comes under .
You know what the parcel of land the houses back onto, isn't it
some kind of park? Maybe that's the place to start.

Sorry to be late again but I seem to fall into a deep sleep after my
visit to the littlest room. It was 9am this morning!
Maybe when we "spring forward" it will be resolved.

Lorna tells me that our friend Theresa has just come home from
the hospital after suffer some issue with blood clots. She is on
oxygen but recovering.

It seems that Melanie now has the Lurgie that Jim had so she
can hardly talk but she did send me a message that she would
try to call me today if possible. I am told its another form of flu
different from the one we were all vaccinated for.
Fingers crossed it passes over me this time.

There is a new hair cutting place opened up in the same shopping
center where the grocery store is so may give that a try as my
hair is in my eyes again.

I see that the Queen film got the Freddy Mercury actor an Oscar!
It got some for best technical effects also.

Its time for breakfast here and I have decided to be an "action lady"
today. I have put off some things that must be taken care of.

no fence Vicky maybe  you could see
the "deck" ,what I was trying to show was how
the property behind us is all wooded area
I will bring it up to the landlady as I said

You ask who would I call if it DOES come down
HER of course funnytvprog

And it REALLY is HER problem ,as long as I was
not under it when it fell,as then she WOULD BE IN TROUBLE
as I would sue her ass $$$$$

Every so often you see everything swaying as the wind gusts

Just put a notice on my front screen door

NO SOLICITING !!!

as earlier some black dude opened the screen door
and was  banging on the door instead of ringing the bell
This guy along with another was canvassing in the
street last Friday ,most times they are selling cleaning
services like carpet cleaning ,annoying when I have
to run downstairs for something I do not want  headbanger

Ah the other photo had a fence I thought that was behind you......ok I still say you could phone someone, there must be someone you can phone, what if the tree did come down? Or phone your Landlady tell her to sort it out, don't hold your breath though, so if you can't get her or she won't do anything you Carole have to act before the tree comes down, or get Spencer to phone someone. Don't just sit back and say "It's not my problem it's the Landladies" please Carole do something before you wish you had..

These are  the trees that the boughs over hang
the back deck .
They are too high up  for ANYONE to try to cut
and if I could get a close  up of their SIZE ,you
would see you need a large heavy duty power saw to cut through
Someone would need a tree service "bucket" in order to
get up to them to do it safely..
So STAND DOWN Bond too dangerous

funnytvprog VICKY we have no fences
what separates this property from behind us is a stone wall
that in places is covered in poison ivy
My avatar right now is not where the problem trees are
plus it's not MY JOB to call someone it's the landladies
it's her deck that would get damaged should it crash down Sad

Well at least your getting your "roughage" along with the trifles
Vicky funnytvprog

Will show you a part of the extending tree bough
next

Had some strong wind gusts

Well been to small Palmers.....I had a side salad and a trifle, I said to David "I'll be looking like a trifle soon"  funnytvprog   Oh but they are good & the Co-op sell really good trifles also.  bounce

Couldn't Spencer cut the branches off?   Though the whole place needs cutting back, it's a wonder your fence hasn't been pushed over.......I'd telephone some one, there must be some one to telephone to see what they can do. confused2 Margaret might know.
Bond take your chain saw and get over there.

Oh thanks for the  Bond  you are good.....and the biscuits.

Morning Vicky ,another pretty cup and saucer
I have a few of those ,have no idea how old
but all are bone china made back home ...
had them since I worked in the Hospital Gift shop
with Ruth  in the late 80's as we sold them there they carried for
a hospital shop some LOVELY things ..

Trouble is Vicky we do not know WHO owns the land behind
us as there are no houses ,its like a small wooded area
where Deer have come out of along with a lot of other
wild animals Possum Raccoons etc
And your RIGHT our landlady COULD trim these over
hanging boughs ,she just chose NOT TO back then
but I am going to tell her AGAIN next time she comes
out for the rent as they are a danger to anyone
walking under them if your out in the back garden or on the deck
especially next door as they hang mostly over THAT side
with how FAR out they have grown out
and the branches are BIG .......

They just said there are snow flurries passing through parts
of the State ,Stratford had some ,but its the winds they are
mostly concerned about

OK be back Blaine gone Spencer will be leaving in 30mins

Morning and it's lovely here as well Bond.

Yes Carole the helmet law didn't come in until 73.  confused2

No it wasn't on until midnight hear here Carole and it was on Sky anyway which we've not got, you have to pay for it and we've got enough channels so talktohand  I was tucked up in bed.  Smile

Your Landlady does have a point, if the tree isn't on her property she can't cut it down though if any branches are over on your side she can cut them.   Can't you talk to the neighbour which property it is on?   Or don't you have somewhere you can telephone  and ask them for advice or even ask them to do something?    And do it now, don't wait.  Neighbour first then the phone.

Poor Tracie that's a lot for her to find every month.

Ok back later.....avatar is another coffee cup 2 ins deep 2 and a half across the cup the saucer is 4 and a half.  Not quite sure of the date it's between 1898 and 1922 but I love it.

Morning Bond ,did anyone watch the Oscars
last night? I taped it to watch today as there
are a few programs I like on Sunday night ,but watching
the news right now at 5am and see there was a
big upset with best film "The Green Book"
Lady Ga Ga looked nice ,they had been predicting
she would be in another pale color ,but I see it was
not

I was awake it seems every two hours hearing those
winds all night making my garden chimes TINKLE
good JOB I do not have the heavy duty ones CLANG CLANG CLANG
THe bad thing is they are saying the worst is to come
between 10am and 5pm ,that is lovely when I shall be sitting here
all on my "tod" ,and they are predicting power outages

I am going to tell the landlady when she has the new deck
constructed in the Spring she had better get the tree boughs
CUT otherwise one day they will come crashing down on it
Spencer said he told her years ago about them but because
they are not on HER property she said its not HER problem
Well since then these HUGE boughs have grown and swing
back n forth when its weather like this Mad

Spencer came home yesterday around 2pm ,things are not good
in paradise , nono I told you ! ,do I know my youngest son
or what

Tracie text Timmy seems to be doing better so looks like the
$65 a month medication does some good ,so she is going to have
to make sure if she wants him around that she somehow finds
that every month as he was only with out it two days when the symptoms
returned

OK so batten down the hatches  I shall return

WELL DONE THAT WEST COAST LIMEY funnytvprog

Thats  what happened to Gil in 1958 ,he came over to
visit me on the Tiger Cub ,back then it was NOT compulsory
to wear leathers or a helmet ,we had some sleet before he left
to go back to his sister Maggie's on Peel St,he set off down
Shuttle st which is a hill  mum lived then at #9 ,he turned
the corner onto Purcell rd and skidded ,boy was he messed up
had gravel burn all down one side, ruined the pants he was
wearing etc
Mum cleaned him up as best she could as stubborn Bourne
refused to go any where ,but he stayed over that night
and left the following morning ,he was lucky he was not
hurt worse ,he was more concerned about his scooter1

He was always more careful after that though

Just made a frozen three cheese  thin crust pizza for my dinner
very tasty.

Same over here Margaret when it comes to helmet and the full leather gear......you have to have it.

But Rob could have someone sitting behind him Carole, he just thinks it's not a very comfy seat, you questioned whether he could have another person sitting behind him and the answer is "Yes". he has a pillion seat for a passenger.

Love the bells btw. super........do Bond use the gong.nono

Sleep tired morning

I think I over did it yesterday but it didn't feel like it
at the time. I had trouble falling asleep and after
visiting little room at 3:15am I fell asleep until
10:30am !
I did get a lot done though.
Tossed all the out of date catalogs as well as
doing loads of washingmachine while I swept the
kitchen floor and simply put stuff away where it
should be.
So the next step is to go through everything in
the storage boxes under the bed and consolidate
what I will be keeping and making room for other
things to go in them.
I think I will be able to fill at least 3 or 4 bankers
style boxes with things I will never wear again.
My list for tomorrow is ready so will take it easy
today and recuperate.

Its the Oscars here this afternoon (5pm our time)
No hosts this year but many more VIP stars
presenting the statues.
I see Queen will be an opening act. That film is
up for at least 3 awards.
I have a feeling that the younger members of the
Academy will lean towards something other
than what the public likes.

The sunny is out again today, its 17c/62f at the moment,
the high is supposed to be 17c/62f ! and the low tonight
will be 9c/48f. A little warmer than it has been.
There is a 70% chance of rain on Wednesday and Thursday.
So there goes my chance of taking Big Red in this week!

Its Ians In-Laws 51st wedding anniversary today so lots of
champagne all round over there.

I know that both Peters and my Dad had motorbikes and Peter
had his Dads Ariel Leader for a brief time.
Ian had a 450cc motor bike for a year when he was at Cal State
Long Beach which was a 7-8 mile journey on surface streets.
It soon got traded in on a car which was better for driving in
the rainy season here.
A helmet is mandatory here and heavy shoes and a leather coat
of some kind is needed for if you happen to come off for any reason.
Road rash hurts like nothing else.
I still see idiots in the summer riding in shorts and T-shirt and flip-flops
here with their helmets on.
I think its going to be brunch again today as its so late. Missed my
soccer games from England.
Better late than never. TTFN

New Avatar .tinkle tinkle ,Bond as long
as you tinkle them gently you can use these
to announce DRINKS ARE READY cheers

I see Marge logged in hope I do not knock her out
and if that screen comes up when she posts
MODIFY-SAVE she HITS SAVE

No that was why I asked as it does not LOOK very comfortable
Vicky scooter1

You sound like Linda she has a Dr's appointment this week and is WAITING
till she has been so she can EAT SOME cheesychipraid as
this new GP she has told her she wants her down 40lb in four months
She has lost a lot of weight but all due as like you she was unable to
eat with her mouth after the fractured her teeth

I would rather see Carmen learn to SPEAK more English Vicky
Spencer has also told her the same ,she never speaks to me when
she comes over here to pick up her Tuppaware she has delivered
here as a delivery was stolen from her doorstep where she is right now
Spencer said its because she does not know what to say not speaking
a lot of ,She USED to be a NURSE in Puerto Rico .....its not a
matter of her sitting doing nothing either ,but I do not think she realizes
how CLOSE she is to losing Spencer when he is trying so hard to make
HER happy by going over there EVERY SINGLE night after he rushes
home and showers so they can spend time together as he feels THAT
is why he and Migdalia broke up as she said she did not see him ENOUGH Rolling Eyes

We don't go to McDonalds that often but their fries are easy for  to eat and today it's playing up a bit more

No Carole Rob rides fairly upright, the handle bars wouldn't allow him to ride low,  and there is a pillion seat but Rob says he doesn't think it's very comfortable.

You can''t knock her for not doing her best to make money, what would you say if Carmen sat on her bottom and did nothing........yes she should make time for Spencer but I'm sure they'll sort it out.  Love finds away.

Horlicks please Bond.....BOND eyes off that bit of dress and go do drinks.

Glad you had a nice meal Bond despite
the many children dining with their families
although you did say you were in the patio \
conservatory right

Vicky was not sure if Robs bike was for
carrying a passenger as it looks like he
has to lay low while riding it know what I mean ?

Well Spencer up and gone ,said as 1130pm
last night Carmen was still on the phone talking
to California and she then fell to sleep
So he said she was not talking or interacting with him
So he decided to come home to sleep ,as she was talking
of doing a presentation early this morning as well .
every thing is Tupperware Tupperware  confused2

Any more drinky poos gong
