| After being lectured first thing yesterday morning was not an Ideal way to start my day. but used time later to find where the Spectrum store had moved to. Its in the main block of the shopping center now instead of the stand- alone pod type building it was in. So that's where I will return the old router to. Good old Google maps! I also need to make sure I have the service account, finally, the way it should be.
I need to go to our little neighborhood DIY store, called ACE to pick up some tiny garden flags for plotting where the sprinkler heads are out back, and along both edges of the driveway. The ones out back are hidden by the dune grasses growing so tall. They need space to pop up around the heads so thinking of putting some kind of collar around them.
Cat needs fresh grass as the small carton it grows in which I trim every few days does not last more than 10 days. Also need to pick up a few more small wet food cans. I will need to measure the width and length of the driveway at some point to add to the information I already have. Watched a crew of driveway company workers demolishing a front lawn on U tube in the UK. It's the sprinkler system I worry about as its all PVC under there,
My driveway is not that big and rules state it cannot take up more than 50% of the footage out front (Only one driveway apron per property) the Asian lady across the street from me squeezed in 3 small Japanese electric powered cars in a space that two large American cars would take side by side. Each property is approx 50 Feet wide with a set back of 25 feet so you cannot build a house that goes from lot line to lot line.
They try, but one house was half way built and had their permit taken away because its height was higher than the planning department said they could. We have a hillside ordinance that says no one is allowed to interfere with the Light and air Pattern that their neighbors already have, also their privacy. Who wants a bedroom that has a full view into someone bathroom! Its only the lower half of those windows which are frosted. Or a deck or balcony that you can watch from. This house stood half done for nearly two years while it went through the courts. Its finally got finished but its according to City rules now.
Its gone from overcast to haze here but we are still coping with coastal fog as well. Temps went down last night and its only 59F at 9:30am here. It is supposed to be in the 70s along the coast over the weekend.
The restaurants hate Mothers Day here, as big families take over all the best tables and will not move for hours. Imagine taking 15 separate orders and 15 separate bills! Then there is the squabble how much tip they will leave. They drink too much and do not control their children. If you did not make a reservation a month ago, forget it! I would rather spend my time talking on the phone or Face Timing my two. Time for breakfast here, so better get cracking ! TTFN XXXXXX

| Good afternoon, your right it's lovely here I've been out in it all day and starting to get a little glowing I wanted to tidy up the shed door as the bottom was looking a bit soft,I ended up cutting off the bottom four inches and replacing it then staining it all to match so a bit of a patch ended a full job but it should see me out ,it's getting on for 50 years old so doing well The avatar is a proper blacksmiths anvil I rescued it from the college when I was moving workshops So cold drinks me thinks | |

| A bit late this morning as Ian wanted to talk about me handling the Geek Squad account, I am afraid I had been a bit shirty with him about, him sending me the account number three different times! He says its good business practice but I am not a business! He has been up to his eyebrows in recording work from home, plus, two auditions that were kind of complicated. I need to see the Spectrum people (If I can find their local office) About the router which is not their equipment anymore. I did contact them, and they said all was functioning OK when It was not. No offer to send a tech out to look into it. So I called the Geek Squad instead. (I had been without a wifi signal for 4 days at that point.) I need to return the broken one as it is on the list of rental equipment like the cable boxes I just got. It was very old tech wise. I have the box the new one came in, and the old Router should be fully listed on my account with Spectrum. I hate having to do their work for them, my account is supposed to cover any service needed on their equipment!' What are you supposed to do when Spectrums little machine is saying, everything is working OK? Both outfits are in the middle of reorganizing. Geek Squad is getting a new name and Spectrum is changing offices. We, in California have had a tremendous amount of labor turnover, due to the Covid Pandemic. It's taking time to get back to full strength everywhere. With the price of things, the way they are, everyone wants higher wages. Our San Pedro docks closed for one day because there were not enough people to cover that day's shifts! Got my new driver's license yesterday, have not opened it yet to see what my photo looks like this time! or Its replacing one of the ceiling bulbs in the kitchen today here. I can reach it as these houses do not have high ceilings. I take the time to wipe out the glass globes as insects still seem to get inside them. I put a tiny amount of lubricant on the end of the tiny screws so they will be easier to take out and put back in each time. It would help if the screws were a bit longer but that will have to wait for now. Time for a midmorning cup of coffee me thinks. TTFN XXXXX | |

| Very rarely do drivers get away from the police here. Only when it becomes too dangerous to follow them anymore, or puts other motorists in danger such as when they have a weapon. The last chase ended up with the vehicle being disabled but the driver would not get out. They used rubber bullets and bean bags to get him to drop the big knife he was holding. Used Tazers too and a little tear gas. they also had a K9 police dog on hand but did not need him. This one thought he was a martial arts master and was doing the moves of one, too many Kung Fu games, I think. Mostly cloudy here with the sun popping its head out occasionally. It's in the mid 50s again. They are still digging out up in the high Sierras, some roads are still under 12 feet of drifted snow. Its recorded as 300 times the amount of snow ever within living memory! It's starting to melt at a fast pace so there will be more flooding to come. Got the new Bug Bulbs in place so going to do the enclosed bulb in the kitchen ceiling this morning. It's in a glass globe held in place by 3 tiny screws. Its partner is fine. Then its polish the silver finish on the refrigerator. I did the front of the dishwasher and it looks good. They usually get a wipe down with a damp cloth. It's sad when one loses someone that close to the Players. Be ready to do lots of hugs. Cindy still has Lornas ashes, waiting for the right time to scatter them in Hawaii where Lornas husband Ritchie's, ashes were scattered. I don't think Richards grown children and grandchildren are bothered about it one way or the other. I am sure that Lana and Lisa the two Chow girls will want to go. They know Hawaii very well. I have my memories of Lorna and I sitting out on her patio until late at night, drinking wine and sharing funny stories. Sometimes it was Margaritas on crushed ice in glasses as big as a soup bowl! (Two drinks in one) It was mainly ice anyway! Time is marching on and I need some breakfast and take my pills for the day. Nice to see you posting Vicky. TTFN XXXX | |

Lanes of heavy traffic in the end he was taken out by a big lorry blind side I don't know that the lorry driver knew much about it it was all so fast , It was party time at the players with a balloon artist and cake so the death was softened over

| 04:43:55 Morning Vicky ,that was a nice surprise seeing your name so early I guess we have to put up with some mess @ but it will all soon be done Did anyone else see the message from a Краткая справка Esperiotoday I just deleted mine ,that is the 2nd one in a week the other just said "test test" hello and bye Bond sorry to hear the news of one of the "helpers" was she getting on then as you called her a "glam gran" ? Also might be dry there now but around 10 am its showing the arriving saying 90% chance today We on the other hand are going UP in heat and some places should see 81f here along the shoreline it will be around 77f Talking of birds you can see what time I am doing this and I can hear the birds out front chirping already as my bay window is open also the does not SET tonight until 8pm something to do with the start of the summer solstice I think the weatherman just said and in June it will set at 830pm but right now we are getting the extra daylight which is good for ANY ONE As I said I am meeting up with Linda today we are going to one of our favorites the Bridgeport Flyer Diner ,its closer to her than me and her only trouble is she STILL arrives late where as I am normally sitting waiting on her ,I said 930am as we do not want to run into the lunch crowd as its a very popular place right on Rte 1 in Milford CT so they also get some 18 wheeler's there for breakfast or late dinner as they are open 24hrs and the parking lot is big enough for at least 3 but I have only ever seen one when we go Anyway I will be lucky if Linda arrives around 945 I on the other hand having to travel further always arrive earlier than stated so I sit in my and wait I should have suggested the Famous 50's Diner which is CLOSER to me {only about a 12min drive away} but we like the food at the Flyer....we normally know before time what we want so today its a Grilled cheese with tomato and bacon inside and an order of either home fried potatoes or onion rings or french fries and always with coffee They also do great dinners as Gil and I have been there later in the day and had some very good home made dinners meat potato veg etc and their Flyer burgers are also good ,we have found that most of the diners here dish out good food for decent prices OK so now I am HUNGRY but have to be patient as I am watching what I am putting in the tummy trying to reverse the weight I gained so its slowly but surely Anyway I have said my "bit" hope Marge had a good sleep and we will see Vicky again soon {I know Bond will be happy having another person from the Midlands again } I will pop in later on _________________ Carole B [i]

| Good morning one and all.
Peters mother grew up in a coaching inn in Chelmsford Essex. It's called The Bay Horse. I believe it's still there. It also has the wide archway for coaches. Her family lived over the pub. She and her sister used to lean out of the window calling to all the handsome young men walking by. (So we were told) Until their father caught them! It looks like another nice day here, Sprinklers came on last night, and it looks like one head is broken, down by the street strip. Not gushing thank goodness, just puddling. The water pressure is not very strong up here at the crown of the hill. I went down to the electronics store called Best Buy and talked to one of the Geek Squad and yes, there are two accounts, one in Peters name and one in my name so he gave me the number to call to get the one in Peters name closed as mine has all the latest extras on it. That should please Ian! Got the Bug bulbs for the outside lamps so that's on the list for today. These are the old -fashioned type bulbs,60 watt. but Yellow. Its dusk when a lot of flying bugs come out especially Mozzies. We get June bugs as well, tiny flying beetles about the size of a ladybird. (Birds love to eat them) My new driving license is due any time so can take all the copies, of the temporary license out of the car at last. Our licenses have photos on them and are scarier than Passport photos! I always look like I am sweating and they make you take your glasses off even though it says on the license that you need glasses to drive! They are about the same size as a credit card and have a reflective image of a California Bear on them so you can tell that it has been changed to a "real ID" one. Our state flag is a bear! walking on all fours. While the Warwickshire one is a bear and ragged staff!
We do have brown bears still living in our local mountains, and they get into the rubbish bins sometimes of the folks that live in the foothills. Usually sedated and put back in the wild. the same with the mountain lions or cougars. sometimes there are Bobcats as well. Plenty of deer too. We flat landers only have Skunks, Racoons and Possums to deal with. There are foxes living on our local airfield and coyotes up on the hill. (Not ours though) Nothing like a hot summer night and having that skunk smell having you rushing around to close all the windows! These creatures are good for our gardens by eating all the snails and slugs. Time for breakfast here, Tabbitha has had hers and is asleep behind me on my chair. It is certainly an adventure living here. and has been for 52 years. I do not know where the time has gone. but it has never been dull. TTFN XXXX

| Hi well just on the stroke of one we had a sort sharp shower only for a minute but it's all around us just waiting it's time I was going to walk up to the pharmacy but took the car ,just back coffee on and it's just showing on the window,it seems the hairdresser went to London with a gang of them on the train a couple weeks ago for a overnighter and they have all had it , London must be full of it ,The big white building at the front left of the picture is the Red Lion a big stop over coach house in its day before the days of a proper train service,it still has the big front opening for the coaches to pull in and get to the stables and yard at the back ,one of a few coaching houses in the town in their day | |

| Seven characters on my license plate, its 6 then LEG followed by 3 numbers.
I have been feeling a tiny bit lightheaded lately, think it is the effect of the blood pressure meds. Melanie has been having the same effect with hers as well. It will probably mean a slight alteration in the dosage is all. Just got a reminder that Spectrum wants the old Router back. They can just wait until I am good and ready!

| Sounds like a plan Marge but you need to tell your overly protective son to back off a tad ,as you say you don't need all the stress, and I for one think for one as old as myself your doing a TERRIFIC JOB That's a great idea about catching up on lost sleep only wish I COULD ,last night for instance I was waking up tossing and turning so many times I felt like staying put but knew I had to be at the vascular Dr early, and once my feet are on the floor forget it ,I do try to get a cat nap though If I can if only for a few zzzzzzzz Mrs B just be happy Bond ,Fran has been lucky so far with her ladies who are still practicing very safe Covid protocol Marge you have a *leg* on Black Beauty ? Bond I told the girl years ago I was known as the girl with the long hair and sexy legs Bond was that today your avatar ? Enjoy your evenings _________________ Carole B [i]

| Hi Marg ,pavers sound good as they could be taken up and replaced in a small area if theres a problem ,not like concrete or tarmac that will leave a scar. Long Street Atherstone a bit black over Bills mother's | |

| I have LEG as part of my license plate ( Not by choice) on Black Beauty! Still catching up on all the sleep I lost from watching the Coronation. Its rather overcast here and we may have a few light showers. Had a small slice of deli roast beef yesterday and was paying for it last night, all gone now. must have been on the turn. I keep everything in the fridge that has been opened. I had steamed mixed veggies for lunch with a drizzle of Ranch style dressing on it yesterday (around 4 pm) Going to Best Buy this morning to sort out my Geek Squad policy. Then it on to the DIY place, Lowes for the bug bulbs. Been researching what I want when I get my driveway redone. I have had tarmac and then cement but am going for paved this time. with an edging of red brick. I rather like the crazy paving look which is done in large pavers that fit together. It would be in the look of the beach Ranch house that the rest of the house, has. Not ready for that yet! I like to have things worked out way beforehand, Square footage and design in my mind. I always go through Angies List for contractors to do any work I need doing. Its only the ones with the best overall reputation that I use and I have never been disappointed yet. It's never the cheapest but I know what price range it should be in. Judging by the price of the pavers in the DIY store and labor. it is not a large area, just a side by side driveway. Waiting for Best buy to open at the moment so time to finish my breakfast and be on my way. I have a feeling that Ian will call to see if I have done this yet! He has already sent me instructions and details 3 times!!!! He gets very bossy on occasions. I am not in the mood to take it right now. It's been two whole weeks of stress and anxiety with all the things I have got done. He does not see that, he just sees what i have not done. I tell him what i want to do and he takes it that I take care of it in a few days time! Last time I renewed my License it took 5 visits to the DMV to complete the transaction. This time it was 3 visits to the local DMV! I can only handle so much stress. And my doctor wonders why my blood pressure is so high! Hope you all had or having a good day today. TTFN XXXXX | |

| 11:15:08 I'm back ,had a full ultrasound on both legs that's to check for blood clots and see if my veins are flowing right Luckily Dr Mike ,he's really young ,said no significant change from my last scan last year and no clots ,so I've made an appointment for another check up a year from now,God Willing The tech who did the scan when I said my legs are not like they used too be said "are you kidding, your legs look good, considering some she sees " Any way got all the batteries that I needed, was looking for light bulbs but they had none so I will have to go to the DIY store ,but I see no where have the curly ones any more that last years that I have now ...... Glad you got everything on your *to do * list Bond ,I love Geraniums they like Marigolds *who are good for bugs* last a long time We have it more cloudy \smokey than it was yesterday that the weatherman is saying is coming all the way from wild fires in Alberta Canada there is also less wind Anyway I should away have to see what I want to make for dinner Back later _________________ Carole B [i]

| Good afternoon from what is now a sunny day after a shower a hour ago , We got all the boxes ticketed, put enough petrol in to get us to Skegness I always say that as this car tells you what miles you have left in the tank and we now have 240 miles so about enough to get us there and back ,I remember a couple of mornings we have done that ,set off early one time got there before the shops were open ,had fish and chips on the beach and back home for tea . Then we went to the bluebell woods at Ridge Lane Then down to Dobbies got Geraniums pink and red And a small couple of mixed colour pots for the tubs ,some silver leaf for the back of the geraniums and some marigolds to fill in the pots , I tided the boarders cut back the dead and dieing bluebells a light dig of the soil and the rain came do in for soup and then the sun came out again so back out and put all the plants in now it's starting to rain again and thunder in them there hills so a good time was had the soil was lovely and warm now it's wet So it must be drinks time and I think there is a couple of hot cross buns in the cupboard it's ok I'll give them a count of ten in the microwave Fingers crossed for later Carole Sit still there Vicky I'll bring it over to you | |

| 04:47:04 Well good luck with all want to do that you listed Bond as all I see for Atherstone today - tomorrow is looks like it stops at 3pm then starts again at 4pm I love Strawberries but cannot eat too many any more ,the seeds you know So I wonder what today will turn up ,Vascular Dr at 930am its right in the same plaza as my ,so not far away ,want to pop into the plaza where I buy gas from to the store that sells lots of cheap things as I need batteries AA & AAA,its called "All Freight" you can find some good stuff there,Spencer gets his rubber work gloves from there interesting place to look around ,tools gadgets etc all at a discount √ Linda me last night so we are meeting up Thursday as that and Friday is the only day I have where I am not going any where this week Temps will be in the 70's that day ,in fact we will and will be close or above 70f all week This Sunday May 14th {what would have been my Mums 100th birthday } is also Mothers Day here and the weatherman is saying it stays dry with a shower on the following day Mon 15th I have not bought and will not be buying any bedding plants the only thing I need to pick up is One tomato plant for my tub on the deck I see they were saying yesterday that tomato sauce chilly fresh tomato's here will cost more due to the bad weather in California guess most of the tomato's for sauce companies come from that State ,as I know in my we get locally grown ones from the farms around our State that Big Y prides itself on supporting This year instead of Cherry tomato's I want to try one of the larger varieties like "Big Boy" as the last two years I got SO many I ended up having to GIVE THEM AWAY as I am basically the only one who eats them Anyway hope every one had a good night .... I seemed to be tossing and turning all night do not know why BTW hows the contract work doing Vicky So on that ♪ I shall away ....BE GOOD ....OR BE CAREFUL _________________ Carole B [i]

| Just saw you post Vicky. Good to hear from you and thank David for his posting to let us know. Peter got into trouble every time I left him alone.
Once it was on the flat roof because he had kicked, the ladder away and another he fell putting stuff in to one, of the big wheelie bins and fell over and had nothing to haul himself up with. The roof incident was funny,'he saw a jogger going down the street and called to him and he looked straight into the sky, before realizing where it came from! He did put the ladder back up for him but I knew something had happened as he had that Look of guilt on his face when I got home. The bin incident, he was surrounded by big bins and just sat behind the side gate which I could not get open. I do not know how long he sat there until I came home from shopping. I threatened to get him a babysitter if I could not trust him to stay out of trouble.

| It depends what kind of Kindle you have. Mine is not able to be used in any other way but to read books, It's called a Paper white. with light behind the screen so you can read anywhere even on planes without the need to turn on a cabin light.
Talking about Wellies, Wish I had had some, here during all that rain. Only kids get the decorated ones or colored ones. I want a pair with ducks on!
I have a backpack which is Shawn the Sheep! Got a lot of attention from the kids. Did you know about the mattress company using numbered Shawns in their ads? Peter got me a whole, set one Xmas! They were in a big box and as I reached in I got more and more giggles! Another year I got a huge box with air holes in it with labels, that led one to believe that there was a live animal in there. It actually contained a huge stuffed bear which he had bought as a fund raiser for a children's hospital. It is so huge, I cannot get my arms round him! On my drive to see Melanie and Jim one year I had him in the back seat with a "where in the world is Waldo" hat and scarf! Got to the hotel I would be staying at and they had his twin sitting in the lobby! (Of course, I always got a piece of nice jewelry as well.) I would buy Peter individual Lego's to put together. Mainly Star Wars figures and fighter space craft. A bit of silliness is good for the soul.
The headlines here are about wrong way drivers and Takeovers of major street junctions which ended up crashing and catching fire. Texas has seen another group of people mowed down at a bus stop, outside a refugee center, 9 dead in that one. Don't know yet if it was on purpose or accidental. More dead in a multi car crash elsewhere in this state. So far there have been 200+ mass shooting events in this country. and its only May! (a mass shooting is classed as at least 4 killed or injured in one event.) Guess what, the prime killer of children is now gunshots, not, a disease anymore. usually as innocent bystanders, through walls or windows from wild shots. This is mainly gang on gang. working for drug cartels in Mexico.
My city is quite tame compared to this. Our biggest crime at the moment is catalytic converter theft! It's partly sunny and partly cloudy at the moment and 61F at 9:30am. By the end of next week, it should be in the 70s here in the coastal zone. Places like Palm springs will be in the 90s today, but they are a desert town. Best wishes to Vicky in her recovery from a nasty accident. TTFN XXXXXX

| Hi Gang, just a few words. I'm getting there, watched the wonderful Coronation and even saw the Concert last night, which I enjoyed. It was Lionel Richie which had the Royals on their feet, even our PM Sunak was on his feet dancing,
Well as I say I'm getting there, though still slightly kills when I get up in the morning out of bed......sorry Carole even though I'm sat on the sofa in the study, and the computer chair is padded and I can put cushions behind me it still kills after a while, bad sign. Different Kindle rom yours Carole, mine is just for books.
Oh and David was out walking Benjie when I was on my tip toes trying to reach these Mr Kipling cakes .......I thought I'd broken my back though, I still can't lie on my back. But getting there.
Love to you all. | |

| The shooting will never stop in this country until the Republicans who are pro gun, start to negotiate some guide lines, like raising the age of being able to buy a weapon of war to 21 in all states. By having to register every gun in a household every year just like our cars! We car owners are supposed to tax and register and insure our vehicles every year! The Feds know us motorists very well. The ATFE agency (Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms ( and now Explosives) are too weak to get on top of this problem. For goodness sake , they might get shot! Alcohol and cigarettes are regulated and taxed and have been for years. Its the Firearms part that everyone runs down their rabbit hole! | |

| Their majesties asked that today be a day of service, and "The Big Lunch", meaning street parties and picnics. It's the Big show tonight at Windsor which will be attended by the King and Queen and William. If Harry thought, he was going to have a long conversation with his father during all the things going on, he was an idiot, only thinking of himself and instructions from M. He could not wait to report back to her as he must have promised, he would get back in time for his sons birthday party. Those two have ideas above their station in life. They owe a big "sorry" to two people who are not alive anymore and all the Family they dished the dirt on. most of it in their eyes only. Harry could not understand that all the adults around him were also mourning the death of their mother. Their father needed to arrange a state funeral for their mother. I would like someone to explain to me about "unconscious racism!" Either you are aware or not! M is now into reading minds! Maybe she hoped to get reparations connected to slavery days. Now that the king has opened that door into the families past. What about all the rest of those who were indentured servants. who served out their years of servitude only to find out that they, were never to be free. Most of them could not read or write either. Most had worked off their passage to the new world in between 7 -10 years. Only no one told them that. Mr. is out again this morning but its only 8:57am here so only 59f. Its due into the 60s here near the coast but some places inland will be in the 90s again. It seems there was another item blown out by the power surge. That was the two outside lightbulbs that are what we call Bug Bulbs as they are yellow to keep the insects away from the people going in and out of the house. So, it's off to the DIY place again. I need to get some more canned wet food. for Miss Tabbitha, could not find the untreated Deli Ham so tried some Spam, and she loves it! It's an in- between regular meals treat. (Like the grated Cheddar cheese.) It's cheaper too! Its low fat and low salt now but the regular is still available. Like everyone else, we are paying more to get less here too. I do hope Miss Vicky is doing better. I think of her every day. Did she watch the Coronation? I did, even though it meant going without sleep to watch it from the beginning! Just because I am an American now does not mean I have to forget where I came from. We are all from somewhere else, If not from another country, at least from another state! Everyone is allowed to celebrate their home country. You should see the number of foreign flags that come out when the Olympics are in town. or the World Cup football/soccer. Then you find out where everyone came from! Plenty of American Flags too. Well, I have prattled enough. Time for breakfast and need another cup of coffee this morning. Think its going to be nap time after lunch today. TTFN XXX | |
