| Well we got a shock when we got my number plate revalued. and the garage wanted to buy my car back. I know when I took the photo of the water colour of Hadden Hall for a Antiques evening and the guy was looking at things people brought in and he was "Sorry they're not worth much" then I stuck some silver bits on the table and he sat up "Wow now these are antiques" and yes he said he could sell them for more than I bought them for, I said thank you but I love them, just wanted to find out, then I put the photo of the Hadden Hall water colour and he was "I can sell this water colour to America for around 4 thousand" we'd bought it from an Art Dealer at the NEC for £50.....he'd sold me a pen sketch of a little girl in Victorian dress sat on a stool by the window, he said he had looked all over and couldn't find the artist or the year so I could buy it for £20......this was in the early 70's I found the artist and the year and when I saw him a year later I told him and he was "Where did you find them?" the stool leg and he was "No ...you've got a bargain, I'll buy it back for £40" but I said "I like it" so one day I'll have it valued When we went to Hadden Hall I took the photo just in case I could talk to a guide and when I did they were "Gosh is that where the Rose Garden is now?" one said "His Lordship is in the garden go and show him, he'd love to know you bought that and how much you seem to love it" but even though I saw him I couldn't bring myself to go up to him. And hands off my bags.

| Gosh all the bags I could buy, though it would be "Oh erm sorry keeping that......oh no deciding to keep that" I gave Susan a brooch to sell on ebay well couple days later I was thinking "Arrr I think I want to get that back" so I was "Er Sue think I'll keep the strawberry brooch" so I got it back the next day, well she removed it from ebay and got it back the next time she came up and I wore it on a cream jumper the next day. | I am here finally, Just got off the phone from the doctors office, Got an appointment for 3pm this afternoon. Probably with a nurse practitioner but at least I lit a fire under them, They have kept me waiting 4 days to return my call. Went on a medical website -Cleveland Clinic to find that all my symptoms relate to the BP meds they have me on. Its called metoprolol. Its a Beta Blocker. I have a reaction to most of the newer medicines. It is notorious for these kinds of side effects. I should not be taking it as I have Asthma and am taking inhalers for it. I will be out of antibiotic tomorrow. I hate being treated like I have dementia!
Different subject The worst of the storm went south of us. Around San Diego which is about 100 miles away. 3 inches of rain in 3 hours! Lots of flooding. The wind around LA took out a lot of trees because the soil is so wet. Anything that was not tied down got blown away. We here locally were spared because of the Palos Verdes hill which sheltered us. I do not make predictions. As I said the world went through a similar phase in 1918. WW1 and Spanish flu and revolutions in Russia and other places. This year has begun the race for who will be on the ballot in November here. i think many evangelical churches have asked to be dropped from those that side with the far, far Right Republicans. they still think Trump is going to wave his magic wand and beat the criminal cases against him. He is claiming that Presidents should have complete immunity while in office for anything and everything. He was still technically President on January 6th three years ago. He enabled the sedition by the words he spoke that day and the delay in getting the national guard called out while the Capitol Police fought for 4 hours alone, costing four Police officers their lives. Two died from injuries that day and two were so traumatized they committed suicide. Only one civilian was killed that day, a protester trying to get to the Vice President to stop him putting the official end to the election by finalizing the vote count officially so it would be on the record. He is facing finance fraud charges at present. His financial records are a puzzle yet to be completely solved. We do know he has not paid a penny in taxes for 10 years! He is hoping that the four of the supreme court will swing any vote in his direction.
Time for breakfast here so TTFN

| Hi Carole, yes the winds picked up and it's been raining most of the morning Still raining now so wet windy and cold, We do paint the kitchen more than any of the other rooms I can't remember last time I painted the lounge It's got to have been a couple of years two maybe three, The gas cooker that's on almost every day gives off a sticky dirt but what really showed up was the kitchen clock stopped last week and when I took it down to change the battery you could see a ring where the rest had discoloured, I will only do the walls The ceiling and woodwork look fine , Mr, Jones I used to work with a grand old gentleman who lived in a small semi with little rooms and picture rail so only just 6ft drops on the wall paper, when he got in on a Friday would cover up on a Friday have his chips in the kitchen, strip the wall paper in the front or middle room, Saturday paint the ceiling and woodwork, Sunday paper the walls after church put the things back before work Monday morning, job done

| Afternoon or evening take your pick. Susan got home ok by train, she went from Birmingham {After having a meal with Rachael and then onto the Strictly come dancing show, which was brilliant she said, Rachael said it was far better then she thought it would be} to Bristol where Matt picked her up, he'd flown in from Ireland the day before {Saturday} bumpy landing he said. Oh certain members of the Royal Family {William and Anne for certain} will not accept M & H back into the fold Margaret and viewer and viewer of the British public also. What gets me are how anyone will believe the fibs Harry comes out with, oh don't mention his wife. Are you really saying you want some of our weather Carole? it might be a bit warmer but we've got the wind and the rain And seeing you're near the coast the sea is rough. Oh cute photo Carole.

| Well, today might be the last of the storm fronts to go through here. Its still light drizzle locally but elsewhere south of us is a chance of thunder and lightning and much heavier rain. The ground is still saturated so more chance of flooding. Its not a particularly cold storm as its 57f at the moment with a high of 61f for the day.
Don't think I will be getting a call from Ian today even though the theatre is dark today. He has a streak of his Granddad in him that can make him behave like a bear with a sore head at times. I have told him that I told off my dad for picking on me when I got old enough. I also told off Peters father when he thought he was picking on someone who would burst into tears. Peter never got that way in all the years we were together. Now it has affected my son. I can only guess it was fueled by alcohol. I refuse to be a verbal punching bag. What happened on Wednesday was an accident not carelessness. He should have turned his phone off backstage. Its not like he was waiting for bad news. He would not have been able to do anything about it anyway. Going to find out if I can talk to a patient advocate, each Doctors office should have one.
My Medical insurance is supposed to be the best there is. It was recommended by AARP who are the biggest outfit in Senior medical issues. They have managed to get bills through the government for the rights of the aged. It gives us back control of our healthcare. At our age its usually taken over by our nearest and dearest without our permission. Time to stop waffling and get cracking.

| Hi Mary we have a little rain here but it's the high winds that are doing a lot of damage Yes I've seen clips of the damage to the warships well one of them I believe one was a minesweeper with a fibreglass hull so it had a big lump out of it that will take time to repair One of the ships got stuck in reverse and just kept going until it ran into something and it was another ship It's very windy and whistling around the house. Any carrot cake left Is Susan going back by train as there is some disruption due to the weather | |

| It could be a sports related hernia. Women can get them you know or a grumbling appendix. It could even be a bladder prolapse, Very common after child birth. Fibroids even. We women have complicated organs inside of us which means more items we can have problems with. There may be time added for performing plastic surgery on the wound so it will not show.
The only odd thing was saying it was previously scheduled but she has had to cancel items from her calendar. Surely they would have been rearranged earlier. She will be able to work via computer after she goes home.
Its been a light rain so far, Its 55f locally and partly sunny after an overnight thick fog. The high expected today is 61f and mainly cloudy. Heavy rain is expected overnight. Managed a trip to the post office and the PetSmart for more canned cat food plus a quick stop at the local supermarket for more milk. There was a lull in the rain. Timed it just right.
The news has just broken here about Markle legally copyrighting the names of her daughter before she was even born! It was to claim a domain name for a website. There is no way they asked the late queen for permission.
I hope that they are not accepted back into the royal family as there is no way that Markle will take a back seat to anyone. Every overture has been greeted by a bigger bargain demand by the duke and duchess.
At least Andrew might be able to be rehabilitated at some point. Not to be a full royal but be involved in some capacity to relieve some of the burdens that the others are having to carry. There are so many charities that both the late queen and the late prince sponsored which may have to be dropped because there are less royals these days. I am afraid that the D and D will never be rehabilitated. As a Brit I think she is the "Ugly American" arch type. Only out for what they can get. End of editorial. Time for breakfast here, got a few things lined up to take care of. in the house.
Hope David had a happy birthday. Time to stop waffling and get cracking.

Very good Carole. extra slice of carrot cake, before we start on the birthday cake. We're having it warmer next week though wet.....yes roll on spring. That's a good way to think Carole, they've bot been in touch with Margaret so they've not found anything to be worried about, it's when they phone that or the next day saying they want to have a word about your test. Right back later.......thanks for David's wishes. Avatar.......Coombe Abbey ......first time we stayed there, no ghostly carrying on in that room. Ghost | |

| No Bond we can eat the carrot cake...... she's brought one for his birthday and that one is for tomorrow. No got no idea of what the avatar is. Oh yes they've done the same thing with the Hilton Hotel in Cov. a disgrace. and we have no idea who or what these immigrants are. No no he's not a "Dick Head" Melanie should put herself in his shoes he's about to go on stage he has to get into the role and he gets a message on his phone which could disrupt that, it's his livelihood after all. Oh yes Bond I got some of those mitts years ago when I used to go and watch Matthew play football. Rob bought them for me. THOUGH hem!! I never did wear them, even when they played in a snow storm, we kept wanting the Rev to call it off but no the Manager of the opposite side said "No he wanted his team to keep playing" he was one of these managers who had the boys in every day after school no matter what the weather was or how much homework the kids still had to do, they went on runs {9 year olds} did squats....oh he just treated them like a Premier League team.....he had been a player in that league {I can't remember his name and neither can David} yes his team won everything but when would they start feeling they'd had enough? When Rob played his team won everything but they still enjoyed playing without the hard push push pushing, though they all played for their school and when they got to 14 a few of them went also playing for Tamworth. but they all wanted to....in fact when Rob was 14 Nuneaton Borough asked they to play in their youth team but he'd got enough to do so he turned them down, But the boys all enjoyed playing football, and cricket in the summer, now as well as school Rob played for Nuneaton Boys Team and on one occasion he played for for the Nuneaton Cricket team because they needed a Wicket Keeper which is what he was. I've got photos of him playing. My mate Lynne in Cov had the white fingers she had an Op and then it was fine. and Jan's Mum did as well now I'm thinking about it {Jan my best mate} Right on that note......night night. Susan's just gone upstairs I said to her Night night then and be careful | |

| Hi Marg sorry things not going so well Yes many years ago when I was on the buildings I had a tin cigarette light type thing With cotton wool in that you put in lighter fuel, light a little asbestos type thing that glowed Put the lid on put it in a little velvet bag and pop it in your pocket for the rest of the day good but you did smell of lighter fuel and could burst in flames any moment, I didn't have the purple and white fingers back then so now it's just stick my hands in my pockets | |

| Its 57f here at the moment and its light rain that is falling. The high for today is set at 60f We are in for multiple days of rain from series of storm systems yet to come.
I will have to wait now until Monday before I might hear about my test results. I waited two whole days and nothing so far. i had a longish talk with Melanie who is more experienced dealing with the medical profession. The person I spoke to said they would get back to me, i thought they meant later the same day!
I related that in the last several months I have had a blood test, a back Xray and the urine sample. Blood test was for Thyroid and that according to them, was within normal range. ( I have been taking a thyroid supplement to get it within their "Normal" range.) Never saw the X ray only a written report that could have described anyone's spine.
I sent my son a detailed message of how I felt about being treated like an old lady off her head. He was more irritated about having a disruption by his phone before his performance was to begin.
No compassion or sympathy about what I was going through. As Melanie put it (excuse my language, "He is a Dick head!) I got a lecture to not do that again! I grabbed the safety pendant after Melanie reminded me to take it with me when i went to pick up the antibiotic. Just picking it up off its charger base sent the message out to not only the fire department but to the 4 people that are on the notification list! Its not supposed to do that! I have the weekend to read the pamphlet that came with it and do a test with it. I am sure that our local fire department has had many such false alarms. Ian is making sure that the 4 have each others phone number now. So they can decide who is available to reach me first.
I also got another reminder from Ian about forms headed my way from my finance company, its to start the changeover of my annuity to them from a company its been with since Peter passed away. It has matured so I can now draw some money out of it. (Not that I need to at this point) I have enough for my needs and then some. The forms came yesterday afternoon at 3:30pm so its signed and ready to be posted back to them today. I always inform Ian as to the speed I do this and he will insist that I forget to take care of it in a timely fashion. I know the finance company cannot move on this without my signature.
The tax season has started and have three documents already. I collect them all until Brian calls me to bring them to him. He takes care of it all. It must be hard for Ian surrounded as he is with females. His MIL is a widow too, so is her sister. Then there is myself and Ian's wife. He is trying to be all things to all of us. I can accept a little grouchiness from time to time. I get frustrated too. It does not mean he can berate me like a stupid child.
Bond. I believe you have a condition like Peter had of a sluggish circulation when it get cold enough. Sports shops sell battery operated mittens and gloves, also socks. (At least they do here) Anywhere that sells camping gear and other outdoor items should have them. Just saying.... Time for some breakfast now and then a run to the post office. TTFN

| Good morning all from a cold Atherstone 🥶 The bed was good last night slept well, the old one had two body grooves with a ridge down the middle to stop roaming around so I had to keep moving over a bit ending up with a arm and a leg hanging out, Yes there has been talk of the hotel being taken over for homeless and immigrants for some time As for the houses I was told they seem to of been handing out blocks of 600 and someone made a mistake on the plans on how many lumps of 600 they have alloted, That's never mind building on flooding ares The kitchen floor is cold this morning but onwards and upwards and breakfast Vicky It's a good job I was able to save those last couple of avatars to pin on my shed wall | |

| Yes David says it's been for the homeless for ages, which is good, at least gets them from sitting on the shop doorways. It's the illegal immigrants I object to. The houses around us are snapped up before they're finished I just wish they'd stop building, enough is enough, the Council have turned down two plans so they're going to the Government and we know what they'll say. But the Council have admitted we've had more than we should have had, the Council say they miss counted when the planners started to send in their plans. You don't say. At least no immigrants going into these houses thank goodness.
What about the Bronte Country going to be spoilt by MASIVE windfarms. Shouldn't be allowed.
Ok night night.

| Good evening Vicky, that's a very nice picture not as good as the last but nice A couple of times I went into Nuneaton in the summer I went into the museum walking by the Council House the offices on the right of the building have been converted to flats for homeless and immigrants, there is some very nice benches at the front in the sunshine but I or anyone else could as they were full of the people from the flats rolling up , Not a good look for the Council House Area and the visitors that come there No wonder Nuneaton has a bad name , Almost time to test the bed ,no not like that ,to sleep on , | |

| Evening........Bond what was the not so good and the bad news Bond? Poor chap I hope he soon is up fighting fit. As for the Hotel everyone thought it was a daft place to build it, but everything falls in place now, wait until gets to know, she goes into town, once a week to go to the Bank but also to look around the shops, but also once a month to have her injection and then to look around the shops. She'll be spitting feathers. she was "Why are they building a hotel in that car park?" This morning they were in Dover talking to the residents, they were mad about the boats, life boats not the rubber ones, we go and pick them up when they get into British Waters, it's cushy for them from then on. and the residents were saying they hang around in gangs. one Mum was saying the gangs have been known to hang around school railings. Sunak has been to Dover , well near enough to go out with the Life Boats to make sure the little darlings are looked after. If our MP wasn't such a good guy I wouldn't be voting this time round. I couldn't vote for Labour, what with them admitting they want more immigrants coming in, I couldn't vote for Lib Dems what with Ed Davey in charge, after what he did to the Post Masters and vote for the Greens they'd have us sitting in caves and forbidding anyone to make a stone wheel. and what else is there. Bond Bond start a "Handbag Party" I'll vote. But after the War Margaret there was enough space to take people in, these days more and more houses are built, habitat of more and more wildlife are lost to us. Soon in England we'll be shoulder to shoulder, Bond pinching bums and blaming it on the man behind her. So you'll be tasting out the mattress tonight Bond. "Marks on the score board" David's Prostate was none cancerous too Margaret though when they rushed him to hospital he looked as if he was Pregnant but they allowed him home after they got the wee out of him, he was then put on a catheter then until he had his Op. Oh Matt has to have a long bed with him being 6ft 3, me I could sleep longways on a pillow. though today I went to the hairdressers but hanging my coat up, on tip toes one of the girls going by said "Let me hang that up for you" I said to her, "I'll have to start carrying a step ladder" But oh the height of the beds in Coombe Abbey, first time we stayed there I wasn't sure where the light switch was during the night when I needed to go......sliding down the bed I'm thinking "Where's the floor gone, I can't feel the floor" and in the dark when you want to feel along the walls trying to find the bathroom door I was thinking "Where did this table come from, oh now there's a chair, that wasn't there I'm sure" until I found the door, left the bathroom light on going back, of course in the morning found out that the fancy slim curtains hanging down by the side of the bed, was the light pull, you sleep in a four poster and 4 or even 5 people can sleep....or what ever.... there. Right must change my avatar before Choccy P comes in.......my daughter is up here for the weekend. On Sunday she's going with Rachael to see Strictly Come Dancing's Show Avatar....Kenilworth Castle. | |

| Its OK for someone not to eat for 24 hours Its the fluid intake that matters but if it includes weigh loss , It is on another level.
My bed is high enough for me to need a step stool. I crawl onto it like I am edging my way up a cliff face. Its what is called here A California King mattress. Its 7ft by 6ft. Peter being 6 feet tall always had his feet hanging over the bottom of the regular beds or lay slant ways leaving me no room to stretch out. It did solve his problem and mine. The platform is two extra long bolsters so can be moved easily when moving house.
Its the Mattress that is a problem. its like fighting a giant sea slug as it does not want to bend. Getting it in this house entailed a sharp left turn and then a right to get it in the bedroom. Even with straps built in at the sides to carry it with. Good job we had no stairs to wrestle it up. I don't think we would have made it.
Still not heard from the doctors office about the results of the Urine test. I am going to call in a few minutes to see how long the wait is for an appointment.
I think I have narrowed my problem down to my kidneys. I have at least 5 of 7 signs for sure. Some I have had for months, its just stepped up a notch the last few weeks. Ian sent me a long message this morning so he knows he upset me by not believing that what I was describing was true. He would not understand what I was trying to tell him. I know my own body and have never exaggerated my symptoms ever. There have been some red flags along the way that I was being given PT for my back instead of sending me to a specialist to see what was going on. I had conformation this morning from a source that I reached online. It was sponsored by a Nephrologist group. (Kidney specialists to you and I)
The Medical insurance I have dictates that all possibilities must be tried before being referred to a specialist. This could drag on for many more months at the rate we are going. Time I do not have. It can be reversed if treated properly. Some rain might be due today as its mostly cloudy right now. Its 54f right now and only going up to 63f today.
