| How come you were going to walk the streets Bond? The joke used to be when someone became a post man "Oh well it's better than walking the streets"
Paris used to be the same.....and what about London, no through the ages you always had it. And America and the bars and the girls. No every city you had the girls.

| You ate the other slice? Oh Bond how could you,, Carole I can put my feet down Bond's sleeve, he'll have to read his book and when he giggles Mrsb will just think it's his book he's laughing at. Yes it's been off and on talking about books I've got to continue with mine...... ok back later. Oh Susan and Matt also Hannah and Andy have gone to Berlin today, they're also in Shirley's bad books, she loves Berlin and they didn't tell her for a while after they'd booked and arranged everything, they kept changing subjects every time she asked, then Susan said to Matt "This is stupid" so when Shirley said "And where are you four going to again?" Susan said "Berlin" Shirley said "But you know I love Berlin, can't I come?" Susan said "Sorry Shirley it's just us four" then Shirley started "But I never go anywhere" Susan said "Oh come on Shirley you're always off somewhere, and Hannah buys you tickets for F1 and you go in the best hotels, that's what Hannah does for you, you go with Becky and the kids to Cornwall or Devon for a couple of days, I've got you tickets for concerts, and either Hannah or me get you tickets for the tennis, we're always taking you somewhere, you should thank your lucky stars" but she's still moaning. Anyway they've gone to Berlin. 4 of them. Matt and Andy are doing Gym exercise's It's trials .....but they will have days to look round the shops though. Susan, Matt, Andy and Hannah went last year and Andy did the Marathon, Susan had never been and was surprised just what a great place it was. Oh talking of Susan they've just landed. I'm off......BTW you were walking the street's ? | |

| Oh I know all about Public Bill Committees, or Justice Committee......but what you've been watching is the Public Inquiry. "Post Office Horizon".
They're taken place in public and we've listened to it often on the radio while in the car or on the TV when they've asked various people connected with the way they've dealt with Horizon. We've got the one you watched, which goes on for an hour. What is rubbish is the "pardon given but that would still be on a record somewhere if the People involved wanted to get new jobs or travel abroad. It would be a millstone around their necks for ever." oh come on Margaret do you honestly think the sub-postmasters would be tied with something they didn't do, of course they wouldn't and it's been proved they didn't do anything, They also have it on record who has been a sub-postmaster so anyone who tries to say they had been a sub-postmaster but haven't will soon have their collar felt, they couldn't get away with it, they have a record of every person who's been a sub=poster or just worked in a post office, they get private pension, so they have to have a record of that, Claire worked for the Council for a number of years so she'll get a private pension, worked in the Job Centre from leaving school to getting married and having her son James, so she's got a private pension, so likewise anyone who worked in a post office, So they have to be on record. this is no 9/11 when people said they'd been there or loved one had been killed and then years later it's found out it's not true. No people didn't come forward, as they said on the Documentary, not because they were worried about neighbours but because they didn't think it was likely Alan Bates group or anyone could do anything. it was the case "Nobodies going to help us so why bother" Don't you think neighbours would know if they'd been Sub-Postmasters, and yes that's why some sub-postmasters had such a bad time, also their families. Some were driven to commit suicide, but that had nothing to do with not coming forward. The Government know ALL their names, it's them who have it on record, anyone who's worked for the Government are on file. Once the Bill is agreed on then it's the vast numbers of people who have to be compensated, and everyone is different, everyone will have to be gone through, how much they paid out to try and get the books balanced, who went to prison, who committed suicide their family will be compensated, though no money will compensate what they've been through.......so each person will have different amounts of money., it'll take a long time. And they've got Paula Vennells being recorded about Horizon having a fault .........I'm waiting to see how she tries to wriggle out of that, And Margaret you poopooed a lot of things, but this is old ground, I'm not going over it again. End Of.

| This was a LIVE session of the committee meeting. Everyone is keen to have a visual record of this for everyone to see that it is all above board as far as the public is concerned. I don't think its possible to fake a LIVE session! Too much is at stake to lose the public's confidence in the government. This is the committee who puts together how bills are worded, No connection with Royal Mail or the Post Office. If the Bill is approved when read, then it goes to the King who when he signs it, makes it a legal document enabling the government to pay out compensation to the victims.
Its up to the criminal justice system to decide if there is a criminal case against members of the Post Office.
You only see what you want to see. Each session of the Inquiry is video taped and abridged in some cases. Its only conformation of previous written testimony, giving the people involved the chance to explain or change what they testified to in the first place. Much of the evidence dates back to 2002. Who can remember what you said and did that long ago. Unless you copied everything down. Its abridged in places because certain facts are not for publication. All of the sessions are broadcast LIVE very early in the morning here. but they are listed as to date and time when recorded. Remember its an 8 hour difference between the UK and this side of the US. I can assure you its not actors involved.
You can see that its the REAL people.
Its like you poopooed the Documentaries I quoted about the Israel/Palestinian conflict. It was Archival footage from both sides recorded at that time. Its a History channel product not made by U tube. U tube are only the place that its broadcast through.
Its important that historic moments in time are saved for future generations. If you prefer the printed versions, Thats OK with me. Just do not condemn everything I say out of hand.
I am well aware that there are many programs offered on U tube that are not factual or down right made up. I think I am smart enough to know the difference. I don't watch any of them. I know what is going on in the world via over 200 world news channels on my computer, nothing to do with U tube! That seems to be a buzz word with you but you obviously know nothing about it and how it functions. You just know what others have quoted about it. The British are known for their cynical outlook at everything NOT British. I did not lose my brains because I became a US citizen! I may see some things from a different angle but that does not make it a lie or not the truth. I know what I see and hear as well as you.
I am entitled to have my say. I have the freedom of speech given to me by both the UK and the US. I do not tear people down or belittle what people say. I just agree that we are all entitled to our own opinions.

| Afternoon and wow what a lovely day. Oh Carole that Christmas Cactus is beautiful ........ Bond doesn't your clothes get creased packing them so early.? Avatar.....another of Lily ... when she hasn't any make up on she looks of course alot younger, but still has the good looks, model looks, This photo is when her uncle Matt cut her hair in a feathery style. If it wasn't so far away and I feel I've been to the hair dressers I go to such a long time, and I like the girls, I'd go to Matt's hair salon, he's got two hairdressers, they're expensive but worth the money. Claire and the family have always gone to his. And to think Claire was told to abort it the medical staff saw something and said abort this baby, Claire and Steve was heartbroken, luckily Claire's sister was a senior nurse and when Claire told her her sister phoned this Doctor up who said "Come and see me right away" when he took a scan of the baby he said "I see what they've seen but 99% of times before the baby is born it goes, please please Claire don't abort this baby you'll be aborting a healthy baby" so from the time Claire was around 5 or 6 months they had this worry hanging over their heads, Claire never told her parents or her other sibling's, or friends and Steve never told us or Rob/Sharron Susan or anyone but I bet they look at her and they're so pleased they didn't abort, just shows how many healthy babies they tell the Mum to abort. Ok later. | |

Don't be silly. Also we always know what Bill's go through Parliament. As I say don't believe all you see on U Tube. ANYBODY could go onto U Tube and say anything.

| There was an interesting meeting shown on U tube of the Justice committee in the UK. It was a fact finding meeting with 3 lawyers invited to give their take on an action due to go through Parliament dealing with the subject of covering the passage of a motion that will wipe the Criminal records from the Sub Post masters records and ensure they get the compensation or money replaced that was taken from them. It was also covered if there should be a pardon given but that would still be on a record somewhere if the People involved wanted to get new jobs or travel broad. It would be a millstone around their necks for ever.
It was very interesting as it brought out all the ways it is worded could be used by people who have nothing to do with the Post Office at all, to gain compensation from the government. There have been cases in the past where this kind of thing was used to clear peoples records on one particular thing. (Some would try to use a pardon as a blanket get out of jail free card for everything on a criminal record.) There are still Sub Post Masters who have not been listed in the legal action group because they are too frightened that their neighbors will find out and harass them. Bates action group knows who they are. Reputation is everything.
I am starting to feel the effects of the antidepressant which I had forgotten about. Its like having hot flashes and feeling weak as the tension is giving way. Only one fly in the ointment, the lower number BP readings are going a little higher now. will have to watch that.
Going to do a bit more paperwork today. I already made a list of what I need to see to next. The Termite place I can write a check to renew my policy and schedule an inspection for later. Tomorrow I can call and schedule my next Xray at the dentist. which should be in about 3 weeks time. Have the follow up date with the doctor already, again in 3 weeks. and the date of the first session of over the phone therapy in May. I post everything on a dry erase board. I keep all my last appointments written down on a paper and the details of my medication.
Its 57f right now and partly sunny, there is some haze or ocean mist still about. The high for today is set to be 64f. There are still rock slides going on in hilly areas. as the earth is drying out finally. It was quite windy here yesterday. Time for breakfast . Cat has got her appetite back! two small cans got eaten yesterday! TTFN XXX

| Afternoon and it's lovely out there.....windy though.
Yes I like the squirrel's trouble is the grey ones have killed all the native red squirrel's, only places like Scotland have them or places near to Scotland.
Yes Carole she's so like her Mum, Jack is like his Dad. Lily has her head screwed on, a guy who was throwing these acting drama group's said to her on Internet how he'd love to work more with her, Lily said to me "It was the way he put it which made me think Yeah and I'm on to you,"
Our window cleaner charges £13 Bond though he doesn't do one window because to do it he'd have to climb up the tiles and we told him not to we'd do that one from inside the house.
Another good recipe Carole I've jogged down.
David did the garden, looks good.
Another one of Lily......that's a selfie.

| 04:34:17 Morning Well yes I see you should have a nice dry day Bond Same as us although we will be MUCH lower temp wise than even yesterday when once again Bridgeport hit 71f {our normal at this time SHOULD be in the low 60's } Rain holding off the man is saying until tomorrow though Lily has an "older" look Vicky makes me think of myself at her age as I FELT OLDER ,wonder if she does Does she look like her mother ? as if I can remember how she looked I think she resembles her ? Bond I had a small bunch of grapes that had been left in the and gone soft so I threw them out last night onto the flat rock where the birds and Squirrels come to eat ,looked out the door a short while later and here was one sitting leaning against the side of the rock picking the grapes off one by one having a GOOD OLD TIME The only problem with nuts and bird seed is YES they can GO THROUGH THEM FASTER than we can BUY THEM My was acting up when I logged on ,and has been doing REALLY well of late ,so do not know what its problem was THE MACHINES ARE ACTING UP This week we have City BULK pick up so next door I saw had put out a BBQ on wheels an old Vacuum and some of those big plastic tubs you get paint or what ever in ,now the City has not been around yet but ALL she put out was GONE yesterday as there are we know some people going around looking and picking up stuff to sell for scrap The only thing left was some material that Danny's Ex Wife when she lived next door had put up out back between three wooden fence panels to keep her "yapping" dogs in a sectioned off area as around here there are no fences to divide up the back or front gardens {that is how the Deer are able to jump the back stone wall from where THEY live and come grazing on my Hosta tubs Any way I have an old lawn mower the one that Spencer ran over a raised oil tank cap out front and it bent the shaft underneath and was unfix-able as I took it to a mower repair as it was not a YEAR old Plus my old air fryer can go out and a couple of other items ,have some TV's the OLD ones that weigh a TON not flat screen light weight ones but not sure if they will take those have to look first on the City web site If we do not put things out this week they will be picking up AGAIN in July All good as its FREE Anyway THAT is all my news for now ,hope the ladies had a good night I will pop back later going no where today _________________ Carole B [i]

| Margaret it was Fujitsu who knew it was faulty, they're the ones who should be paying out, those in charge of the Post Office also knew in 2005 there was faults, but still allowed the sub masters to go to prison, lose everything, so Fujitsu and those at the top who looked the other way should pay out and go to prison. Paula Vennells was the one in Charge, and in 2005 she is on tape saying Horizon was faulty, but when the sub Postmasters rang Head office up to say they couldn't balance the books they were told they were the only ones having problems, which wasn't true, and Paula Vennells knew it......she should go to prison, and also Ed Davie who is Lib Dem and the leader of that Party, at the time we had a Coalition Tory and Lib Dems, and Ed Davie was Minister in Charge, he now says "He was lied to by the Post Office" of course he was, it was his role to find out what was going on, so what's his excuse when later on he was working for the Lawyers putting the sub postmasters in jail. Oh he's now sorry, too late Ed Davie those sub postmasters had lost their freedom, 4 had committed suicide, money from their savings had been put into the accounts to try and keep their heads above water, they were told they had to balance the books ....somehow.....but of course they couldn't, not their fault but the fault of Horizon and Paula Vennells and those at the top knew it wasn't their fault.
Ah that's where the Wednesday comes from, you come back on the Wednesday.
Oh yes in Australia they'd had a second knifing, as you said Carole what is it with these people.?
Right ........horlicks please Bond.
Oh Carole Lily is 15, 16 in Sept. She has got model looks

| I am assuming that the government had to give approval to spend the Millions of pounds to buy and install the computer program in the first place. Its what the Royal Mail and Post office did with it or did not do with it after knowing there was a big problem. It should have been tested 200% to pinpoint the errors in the program which they were expecting employees (Sub post masters) to use. It was treated as if it was something that might go away on its own or taken care of as a "fix" somewhere down the line.
I think the PO was so enthusiastic about touting the new computer system that to turn round and admit it wasn't working as it should be would be a black eye to have to deal with, let alone all the extra costs involved. Lots of red faces all round. There had been a big turnover of staff and new committees had been formed which did not have their remit in place yet. A bit like chickens running around with their heads chopped off. No one seemed to be actually in charge of the place.
When Peter volunteered for RSVP, a volunteer group providing docents to bolster paid staff in many of the cities departments, he was given the job of sorting out their computer problems. It was a small scale job but difficult. It took weeks of deciding what needed to be on it and how it could be done with the system they had in place. Peter was dealing with his MS and I was worried that it was too much for him to handle. The idea had been to put in a few hours a week at a place he could be helpful at. I understand the process involved. It was way beyond my pay grade!
I am imagining that a huge government department had the experts to keep a computer program safe enough for non experts to use. They just kept passing the buck instead between the Post office and the company who manufactured the program. What they had not counted on was how big the trouble got and there was no room to do a U turn. They just designed ways to make the blame fall on the users. Its the attitude of the "Post Office can do no wrong" in their heads. It was a total Cluster**** It was not going to go away even if all of the Sub Post Masters and Mistresses quit and they went back to the old way of doing accounting. Too many had already felt their rath with the number of court cases brought against their Sub Post office people rising. I hope those bozos get what the deserve.
