| 11:42:24 I'm back ,Dr Drew wants to see me next Friday and will do another evaluation and see if he thinks I would benefit from any more visits Actually the knees and back seems to have been not so bad since I last saw him Monday
Yes lots of memories Vicky
I popped over to the large shopping plaza near the Drs and picked up a rotisery chicken for the boys to pick on as normally I do not cook on a Friday or weekend any more ,then got ten more tins of Fancy Feast cat food with gravy (10 for $9),and got a couple more packets of cat treats ,and a Romaine hearts lettuce and they had the artificial lobster\crab meat on sale for $2:49,(was $3:99at my grocery store) so picked up two I grated up one pack and had 1\2 along with some lettuce and some slices of a English cuke and a small handful of shredded cheddar cheese and being as I have run out of my favorite dressing ,Red wine vinegarette ,I had to have Italian dressing The weather is beautiful,69f right now at noon Vicky I just looked at Nuneaton telling me your at 67f/19.4c now some towns away from the shoreline here will see 80+f/26.7c over the weekend and no rain in sight
Watching the news right now to see if there's any new news on the Debt ceiling _________________ Carole B [i]

| New Avatar Talking of June 1st This was Gil and I when we tied the "knot" again in our side garden on June 1st 1997 Standing with the vicar from a local church who came out and married us ,with Chelsea and David as our ring boy and flower girl The "bride" wore white slacks and a black top with small white dots The "Groom" wore a cream colored shirt and matching slacks I remember the Coventry Telegraph calling us at 3am to get our "story" asked us to send pictures and then we were featured in the paper _________________ Carole B [i]

| King Charles has been standing in for our late Queen for years Margaret......our late Queen said during her Platinum Jubilee that Camilla was like Philip, he was always there for her when things got her down, and her Mother was always there for her Father and she'd noticed how Camilla was the same with her son.
I don't think they try to knock each other off the peg as Diana did. She wasn't a team player.
Susan and Matt are coming up to Jessica's on Saturday, it's Jessica's birthday so they're coming up and staying the night. They are popping in here for an hour. They get on ever so well with Pete Jessica's new husband.
The Hatters in the football worlds are Luton .....because of their history.
Right watching the cooking........David recorded it because I was nattering to Susan on the internet.
So later. | |

| Unbalanced load in the washing machine! I hate that Buzzing sound!
Someone in the planning of Royal events needs to be sensitive to the fact that if The King and Queen are at the Chelsea Flower show at the same time as Kate (In another area with children) Its she who got the front page on the newspapers not the King! I found out that they pop in at different times but the Princess of Wales is more interesting to the younger crowd. It seems to be peeving the Queen but it's what used to peeve the King about Diana.
It will all settle down, its early days yet. It's always hard to follow the best in show! Her crew had it down so they could do it in their sleep! Everyone is still learning at this stage. time for some breakfast here so TTFN XXXXX

| its another dismal morning here but its only just gone 8am! Need to go grocery shopping today, its getting a bit thin in the fridge and cupboards. Already made my list.
I was sad to hear about Tina Turner passing but she was getting up there in age. A Global Icon indeed, Queen of Rock and Roll. I have CD of Elton Johns called "Two Rooms" where different artists and bands, play and sing the tunes in a salute to him and Bernie over the years. Tina sang " Until the Bitch gets Back". The Beach Boys sang "Crocodile Rock". and Who sang "Saturday nights alright for fighting." etc. I think there are about 9 or 10 artists on it. She matched them all.
I think the gardeners replaced the sprinkler head while they were here yesterday. The standpipe was not broken as such but unscrewed from the main line. its a shorter one than before but does the same job. It's just not one that pops up like in the middle of the lawn. That garden bed by the street is full of plants, not grass, so it's not a problem. Going to field test the whole system today.
Well, everybody is taking off for the Memorial Day weekend, so chock a block on approach to LAX from all directions! I would not recommend flying on any American Airline at the moment. It seems that the overseas airlines are doing better right now. Be back, I have to take care of something.

| 05:10:05 Slept in a extra few minutes cooler start today only going to be in the 60's today normal is around 74f ,but that is fine with me Last night around 630pm the sky got dark and we had about 1/2 inch IF THAT from the line of thunder storms that was dropping through the State the bulk of the was to our East ,but it was enough to wet the ground /grass so I am sure my plants were happy and saving me from watering .. So Bond your going "brass rubbing" alone or are you doing it with others? my question is ,WHAT will you do with the rubbings after Trudie the lady who lived down stairs from me after I returned here in 1971 and who after I got my first job working a switchboard at the Bridgeport Holiday inn on the 4 to midnight shift used to feed my three dinner and get them to bed ,she became like a Grandmother to them as she was never married ,the reason she came to mind was when you spoke of the Hatters industry she worked here in a hat factory in Norwalk CT for many years until she retired If it were not for her I would never have taken the job but she encouraged me saying I could do it ,and I did for the next 30+ years Well I see there is STILL no agreement here on raising the debt ,I know Marge said she believes they are holding out and will come to a deal before we as a country default ,but they are saying June 1st is when it could happen and I believe they have broke for the Memorial holiday weekend so WHEN or HOW will it happen Again those who will get hit HARD will be retired people like Marge and I ,& service men etc trouble is I live pay check to pay check have no cushion to fall back on after getting myself back on track I will be VERY upset if this happens as I am just seeing the end of MY tunnel Trying not to think too much about it as THAT could make a person ILL but WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE they say the will be in DEEP DO-DO Ok I should away just thinking about this is making me get a headache I will be back later _________________ Carole B [i]

| Good morning all from Atherstone a bit cloudy yet But some sunshine on the cards for later That's good as I hope to be running a brass rubbing session in the Hatters garden a place at the back of the Owen Street arts center, a grass space given to the town's people and workers of the hat factories to give them a grassy area to get them away from the dark factories, in it there are brass blocks mounted on oak plinths tell the story of the making of a felt hat a great story not to lost Breakfast first | |

| Yes I was the same, with Steve who was only 5ib 13 I had stitches inside and out with the other 2 who were bigger.....nothing. As for Abortion over here it's when ever they want one.....right up to almost giving birth. that's not right, I knew I was pregnant with Susan before I missed, I went around the corner and gave a urine sample in to the Chemist, I was told to come back in the afternoon, right after lunch I was there, and I was told "Yes you're pregnant£" I was told gingerly, I grinned from ear to ear "So you're pleased then?" I was asked by a then smiling Chemist "Thrilled" and when I went to the Doctor and he said "You've got 2 boys 9 and 11" he asked, then he said "So what do you want to do?" I looked at him and the nurse "Do?" I asked ....then the penny dropped "Oh I want the baby" and they both looked at each other and the Doctor sighed. "So you want to keep it" he said "YES" I said....I thought afterwards "It's that easy to have an abortion" No over here an abortion is used as a Contraceptive and I think that is wrong. Right I'm resting. Avatar......I have that in our en-suite, the flowers are silk flowers, and I love them. | |

| I was lined up for a C section with Melanie because she had a perfectly round head and it looked like a close fit so did X-rays, and decided to cut me instead. I had about a dozen stitches both inside and out. It took weeks before I could move about with no pain. With Ian who was a larger baby it was two stitches only. Matron commented what a good job they had done!
One state here has now passed a law banning all abortions after 6 weeks! Any woman will tell you, you might not be able to tell that early! The very rightwing Republicans want to do away with the Morning after pill but the FDA (Federal Drug Admin). has approved its use so they can sell it over the counter. at the Drug stores. Now they have made it known that they want to have no fault divorce stopped. They are going to have the Supreme Court decide, which now we find out is not as impartial as we thought. One judge on the panel has been taking a lot of deal sweetening bribes. It's these that voted down the legal abortion case Roe V Wade. which was made law back decades ago. If given the gun situation to decide, we know what the result will be. Not all the states are going along with this as it's now up to each state. to decide not the Federal Government.
The Debt ceiling debate will go down to the wire as usual. Republicans will not sign anything unless Biden gives them almost complete control over taxes. Biden want to tax the people who are million, billion and Trillionares so they take more of the burden of funding the services this country needs. There are 10 days left! Its wiping out the middle class! Republicans want to keep it the way it is.
Heaven forbid they might have to receive less money! We would like all the representatives in government to have their pay stopped for a month and see how they like it. They can vote themselves a raise anytime they want, No one gets a say in it. Who is it going to hit first , those who are on Social Security! It's a Mexican stand off. Neither side giving way. It's a game they play each time. The Republicans want to point a finger at the Democrats and say its their fault and the Democrats are caught in a corner trying to find a way out. This is a bunch of lawyers! Enough of that! Its Cloudy again here this morning and its 59f at present. There have been some scattered light showers in places. not local though. May Grey its called , next month its traditional to be June Gloom; We had already had our first official wild fire of the season. Fast action put it out before it got anywhere near houses. They were under an evacuation order though but did not need it. There was a 2 alarm house fire last night but away at the other end of the street known a Calle Mayor. We are at one end and this was at the other end about half a mile away. as the crow flies.
Been awake all night reading a new book I could not put down. Its by the daughter of the late Tony Hillerman, who set his stories through the eyes of a couple of Navajo Tribal Police officers in the Four corners area reservation. His daughter Anne has taken on continuing story of that area. She hit this one out of the Ball Park! I was so immersed in the story that I could feel like I was watching over her shoulder. Hillerman was not a native Indian but lived and worked enough in that area to be able to describe what kind of life they have and their beliefs. Anyway,Its time for breakfast here . Feeling much better now. Norovirus hits fast and furious. Its all over after 3 days but those three day feel like hell! TTFN XXXXXXX

| New Avatar the first bloom of my Clematis plant taken yesterday the flowers are SO big and last year it was covered with them GORGEOUS Vicky I stand corrected ,I believe your Avatar is of a Fuchsia My sister when I went to visit years ago had the WHOLE side of her back garden with them ,she said they got the first cutting from up on the "downs in Devon" they grew quite large ,but she said sadly over the years most have died as something was attacking them so they dug them out I used to have a photo of them some where among the MILLIONS I took years ago that I am sure along with all my photos of our garden at the old house will be thrown away once I am gone _________________ Carole B [i]

| Hi Marg ,yes there's a couple of very big powerful 4x4 types a Jeep Track Hawks, and a X something Ram , Facebook is showing them holding up tragic on motorways the flooring it to rocket away so with disaster at times ,as the front lifts on take off they have no steering,so crashing into other car and in one case crashing into the flyover support, the ones that have a clear run pick up a terrific speed. Talking of speed avatar is Emmett on his new red bike It's still a lovely evening with the sun dipping down at the end of long Street | |

| Feeling a little better today. Think I had a bout of Norovirus. It is a 2 -3 day event usually. We live about 2 miles from the main cruise terminal. And the ships hold 3.000 passengers each. Mainly older people taking a short trip down to Mexico and back. They gamble and drinks are cheap. It's those ships that spread Norovirus faster than a speeding bullet! Its cheaper than going to Vegas for 3 days. As soon as the highspeed train goes in between LA and Vegas, (Already passed now) it will be full of pensioners! It's a long drive by car or bus. It takes money to fly there. You might splurge if you won,and fly back!
It's mainly cloudy this morning again but no sea mist this time. its humid and 61f at the moment. Inland is hot again but not as hot as it has been in places. No break for the coastal areas yet.
LA is dealing with a rash of speeding cars running over pedestrians and cars smashing into buildings. Most of them caused by people under the influence of something.
Speeding seems to be rampant here in my city. No one keeps to the speed limit. everyone thinks they are special and do not need to keep to the speed limit. They cut in and out like race cars. just to get somewhere that in the long run is no place special. I usually catch them up at the next traffic light! I stay off the main drags as much as I can. I know my way around here after all these years so know where the short cut are. :-D Don't know what I am going to do today but I will wait until I have had my Honey Nut Cheerios. Take care. ttfn XXXX

| I've always been careful, specially when the boys came with us to La Manga, and it followed to Susan......they would be out 5 to 6 mins and then it was "In the shade" and as the days went we did longer, but the kids never burnt. | |

| Being at a lower altitude we burn a lot quicker here. It won't happen today though. we are in the throws of grey May. It is a condition we call wet mist outside this morning. It is 60f at present but its early yet.
I feel better today. It must have been one of those 48 hour winter bugs I feel. Just to be on the safe side I am sticking to a lot of fluids and just light food. I had some crackers and goat cheese yesterday evening. Just a dab on each cracker, I also have a little Brie left which I did not eat before I got sick. Going to have a granola wafer for breakfast this morning. No grumbling from my tummy yet. I had an egg and a slice of toast for lunch yesterday. I have some aged sharp cheddar cheese and ate a small amount while grating it for the cats treat. I am taking only my vitamin and my blood pressure and anti -depressant pills. and no Tylenol just in case. I got a toxic reaction from Motrin years ago from taking it for a long time (under Doctors orders) I have a non Alcoholic Fatty Liver from that and ringing in the ears!
I see my present Doctor in a few weeks for my yearly check up. This will be brought to her attention. I can manage a few light chores today. I can clean the large mirror in the bathroom and clean the sink and countertop and be finished in there. I only need to spray the inside of the shower stall and it cleans itself! I spray after every shower.
I am reading one of those books that are from a new writer and I cannot keep up with the number of characters they use. I am almost near the end thank goodness so will stick with it. I have a feeling it's going to be a whimper! Too complicated plot and not believable. It set in the days of the divided Germany but not a spy story. It's just before the wall came down. I must be getting old, as I remember it well.
