| Evening...... Bond I looked online about extractor fans for cookers on internal walls and this is what I found. "Yes, you can use an extractor fan above your cooker on an internal wall. If you don't have access to the outside for venting, you can use a recirculating extractor fan. This type of fan filters the air and then recirculates it back into the kitchen. It typically contains charcoal filters to remove odors and grease from the air. While it's not as effective as a vented extractor fan, it can still help improve air quality in the kitchen. Just make sure to regularly clean or replace the filters to maintain its effectiveness." Oh Margaret I take Amlodipine also. I saw the Fiber van at the bottom of our road last week......we'll all have it over here shortly. Susan and Matt did some running today, Susan did a 5k and Matt did half a marathon. they ran at Chepstow races.....where the horses run. Avatar Matt with his medal. Later. | |

| Well, just had a FB message from the actor who says he is my son. He is acting as if I was the one who was at fault for causing HIS blow up at ME for accidently setting off the Safety Alert pendant. I was dealing with the thought that I could be having Kidney failure at the time. Who wouldn't panic! I just messaged back to let him know what I am dealing with as I have been waiting until the play ended to tell him. I told him I am not up to carrying on the argument either on the phone or FB messenger. I understand he is on a high after the play was such a success and is up for an award for those type of productions. Good for him.
We are warming up here, its 60f at 9:10am with a high of 74f and sunny expected. The Rain front is lingering offshore and expected to arrive by Friday now. I may do a quick run to the grocery store today to stock up. I do this type of shopping once a month anyway. Always have enough on hand to cope with power outages, anything I can heat up on top of the stove is good as I have gas burners and can light them manually with the good old stand by--Matches! Went to a local Cost Plus World Market and got 2 boxes of Yorkshire Gold Tea. (Cheaper than the British shop) got some biscuits as well. (I have to leave the coffee alone for now.) I am glad I have two water filter jugs so I can have chilled clear water all day. Don't have to keep running the tap every time, It wastes water. Some of our water comes from artesian wells so it has a quantity of calcium in it which makes the water very hard. I use an electric kettle I have had for over 10 years and there is not a trace of calcium in it! I use filtered water in it and have since day one. I also used it in the steam iron. (When I used an iron) I also use a filter on the ice maker built into the fridge/freezer, nice clear ice cubes.
Papers and TV are full of gloom and doom here; In our state it seems that deaths from car accidents outnumber deaths from crime now. I stay away from most of it and read books and watch things on U tube. I like History programs and a program called "Who do you think you are." about Ancestry. There is a program here called "Finding your roots" which is interesting too. I might have missed them all on TV but can catch them edited online.
Its time for breakfast here and take my antibiotic horse pill. Always with food. TTFN

| I believe what happened was the roofbeams got eaten by termites over the years and could not take the weight of the clock tower and the small steeple . They said a fire regulation inspection had been done but not a structural inspection. Looking at the early drone footage, it shows a lot of not just dust but beams that had crumbled. It could also have been rot caused by rain damage over time and it just rotted away.
The NP called about 3:30pm my time but no result of the sample yet, that could take another week. All I know at this point is, its a Kidney infection and a rough one to treat. I have enough Ciprofloxacin for another 5 days. I am also taking a new BP medicine as well, Amlodipine to be taken only at bedtime. I also have a prescription to treat heartburn which is working very well.
The stinger in the tail here is that my next appointment with my GP is not until late April!
No information about If I might need another refill of the Cipro before then but am going to try to enroll in the "Portal" they have to contact the office by email. I hate being left in suspense for 3 more months! I know the doctors at that clinic are fully booked until then. (The April date is the date of my annual physical anyway) I might know more if or when they call me about the result of the latest sample. I will only wait 10 days for that and if I do not hear anything I will be giving them an earful.
Its Ian's last night of the play tonight and it sounds like everything went well. There are a chain of small theatres, some in upstairs rooms above Pubs. that are like being off Broadway in NY. Its to try out new productions and new playwrights. They even have awards for these like the big boys. (Think Tony's) I believe that Ian has more offers of work which, will at least fill his bank account if he gets to do them. (I cannot say anything more as actors are very superstitious about talking about job offers as they believe it is bad luck) I only get to hear about the ones he is "Penciled" in for. That means actually got the part.
We still have the atmospheric river headed our way. Locally known as the "Pineapple Express." The bulk set to hit way north of here in Northern California and Oregon. We will get rain out of it and more snow at higher altitudes. Its 60f here already this morning. We are expecting a high of 70f today and sunny. Time for breakfast here and get myself in gear to sort out all the notes I have written to myself over the last few days. TTFN

| Afternoon all, no not starting painting until Monday, you can't get decorators to work weekends for love nor money these days, The thing is our cooker is on a internal wall so it would take a lot of boxing to get to a outside wall so just. Open the door and get the paint out, All the kids have just gone we have all been all been out for lunch as it's Emmett's birthday on the 1st and he has a big birthday party next Saturday with 41 kids at a hall with bouncing castle, cake sausage rolls, sandwiches and a bar for the adults, never had parties like that when I was a kid ,what am I talking about we never had parties | |

| Afternoon.......well lovely day. No it's not the one we've watched, that's obviously finished, he was only young in his early 40's I would of said but he was a real Yorkshire Lad, had a lot of celebs he was really nice and good at his job, we also love watching Drew Pritchard buying Antiques for his London shop or his Welsh place. he still has his ex wife working for him, she dives into just where they came from, who built it etc, on certain things, though Drew is so knowledgeable, he wears a peak cap, he is allowed to go to so many historic houses and rout about in the attics or in the sheds {he loves doing the sheds with loads & loads of things just piled up} he has people who fix things as well. It's good. I asked Bond if he had an Extractor Fan Carole and they don't......I don't understand why they haven't. Right back later. | |

| Evening......cold but dry.
Oh wow now if they'd have to knock a building down over here we'd be "Mmmm now that is suspicious" that is a shame though can't they just re-build it, roof and what ever damage there is.? Seems such a shame an old building like that.
Susan and Matt loved the play it was really funny......she asked Rachael if she wanted to go to see it about April after then the tickets go around £200 upwards per ticket,
They went to Bond St Matt went to look at some watches, he's more or less decided what to get. And the bags, Susan was "Oh Mum's got a bag of there's, Oh Mum bought one of there's" I said "I can imagine Matt's eyes"
Ohhhhh talking about bags.....Eve's on. later. | |

| Got better BP results this morning. I too get :white coat syndrome" I have to do some biofeedback to get myself calm enough even at home to take my blood pressure. Its lovely not to have heart burn now. Doing my 24 hour break from the Antibiotic had the last one of the first series last night. So first one of second series will be tonight after I get a sample. It seems I missed one dose, I should have been able to do this during the daytime but it is, what it is. Its a pill every 12 hours so been doing it at 10am and 10pm every day. The Drs Office just called about a sample. Got crossed wires I think. Told them I am going to stick what we arranged as I have a printed copy of what I need to do. She is going to call me tomorrow anyway. Think they have been told to pull their socks up at the front desk. By tonight I should be sloshing inside from all the water I have been drinking. | |

| Afternoon guys.......or it was when I started this. Did you test yourself Carole, Covid is on the increase so please of you be careful. BOND. The Dr I always tried to get I'd known him since Susan was 17 and she's in her 40's now, he retired last year, now he was brilliant, both David and I only wanted to see him, as other patience did, poor chap, he got divorced too and with 4 very young kids, his wife was also a nurse and ran off with another man, she did marry him, in fact she got married 4 times. just before he decided to retire he met someone and they got married, we were all so pleased for him. but sad when he left, just after Covid. A couple of years ago when I had the camera up and down I was given these tablets stops me having heartburn and I'm still on them, I've had no heartburn since. I'm also on BP tablets, I'm fine now, though I'm still on them even though if I went to the hospital I'd be high "White Coat Syndrome" and if I don't eat before 3pm my BP drops and I faint. even having a breakfast. Strange workings our body Oh Susan & Matt are in London at the Theatre Bond. Avatar......Shirley Ballas the Strictly Come Dancing judge.....Susan snapped this when her and Rachael went to the show in Birmingham. Gosh talk about looking different without make up and her hair done. She looks s if she's got a Cov City top on, Right back later. . | |

| Woke up the other morning and my watch was telling me it was around 7am but it was still black outside!
On getting up and looking out of the French windows, it was the thickest fog we have had in ages. This morning its sea mist Two minutes ago it was up to the fence around the high school, now its rolled back a few hundred yards. The sun is trying to break through.
Slept a little better last night and Sharon gave me a prescription for my heart burn. Today its a pause in the antibiotic for the day so I can give another sample as to how well the first batch has worked. Sharon is set to call me tomorrow at 3:20pm to see where we stand. I have another course of antibiotics waiting with me.
I do not think the blood pressure one is working yet. I have a very good home BP machine and its reading is still higher than it should be.
There is an enquiry going on about Boeing and its quality control. One report says that before the part blew off the Alaska Airlines plane, that part had been removed and "adjusted" and put back. Boeing cannot get a break as the other day one of their big planes had a nose wheel drop off on take off! It has two so it all ended safely.
Remember me saying about the takeover robbery at a bakery and mini mart ? 4 culprits have been arrested so far, the driver of the stolen car used to break down the security grill was 14! On viewing CCTV of other such takeovers they think it was the same group who have done other raids. The police have fingerprints and a license plate number of one car that brought the raiders to the shop. Some were wearing the same black clothes!
It seems that another atmospheric river storm is on its way here. It is expected to bring high winds and heavy rains from about Jan 31st until Feb 5th. We locally might not get the full brunt of it but the ground is saturated still. I think its just a general warning to be prepared. So far most of the storm fronts that have been through have not been as bad as forecast in our area but south of us and north of us have been hit hard. We may be having a few light rain showers today as the sky is dark with some low white clouds at present.
Time for breakfast here, my cat has a full tummy and will not see her again until lunchtime. Need more Yorkshire Gold Tea Bags as I am down to my last one. There is a Cost Plus International market only a few streets away. No Coffee allowed for now. TTFN

| 04:56:54 Morning Bond Well that sounds exciting a FILM what the players do every year would make a great documentary showing what can be done with with people with disability's Marge what can I say about you seems like your Dr let you fall through the cracks so to speak by not keeping a closer eye on your health problems ,as to weening yourself off your antidepressant pills you always read not to do that with out Dr's supervision but its done now lets HOPE this PA {is her name Sharon} is able to keep a close eye on you and you get sorted out ,sometimes those starting up the Doctor ladder are more attentive than older Dr's who it seems after practicing so long seem to LOOSE THEIR TOUCH {probably too much over load } That was my GP he was new and young when I transferred to him as my old lady Dr was retiring and she kept saying "lets wait till next time" to see why one of my tests was high this was for my thyroid ,Dr Logiadis said I want to know why it is and sent me for a barrage of tests and a needle into my neck near my adams apple ,{THAT WAS SCARY} but what they came back with was cancer after all was said and done ..... Who knows what it would have become had it been allowed to have gone on I think the older Dr's either as i said get overwhelmed with patients & just do not take the time with you that they should Its a much different time than when we all grew up that is for sure Weather all I can say is then but at least its warmer I was yesterday morning feeling back under the weather ,and sure enough by late afternoon my nose was running and I felt achey and was coughing but it was not sounding like a BARK like before more a tickle so I packed myself off to my bed after Spencer got home at 430am with a dose of cold pills and the ♪ Ricola ♪ cough drops At least my nose is OK today and the cough less weirdest cold I have had in a while ,doesn't want to leave me I guess Talking of Dr's my next GP visit is or was on June 20th ,the office called yesterday seems he will be on holiday then so booked me in for the 24th He recently got divorced {has young children too} and has found someone new and has been traveling all over with her ,last I heard they were in London and France he is probably in his late 40's as I have been with him now since 2013 when he was just starting his practice OK so that is my bit of news Will look in later _________________ Carole B [i]

| There are a few things here that have some value but not a lot. I have some pieces of jewelry that were Peter's mothers. I also have some pieces that Peter bought me over the years for special occasions. Not anything that Melanie or Rebecca would wear.
I found out what is going on with my body yesterday. It seems they found an infection in my kidneys. It appears I have been walking round with damaged Kidneys for a long time. (Probably caused by all the UTIs I used to have.) Told it is a rough one to fight.
Its still in the investigation stage at the moment so have a strict routine to follow the next few days to see what effect the first round of antibiotic has had. Have a second round of antibiotics ready to go here. Have an extra pill to be taken at night only and new BP pills.
In the office. a male nurse got a much better BP reading but still not perfect, just more within an acceptable range. I have to give another sample after 24 hours of not taking the antibiotic and as soon as that is done, then I can go right back on them again. Then what is called a Nurse Practitioner ( transitioning to a doctor from an RN) will call me on Friday to ask me how its going and report on the new sample. It will depend on how good my immune system is so it can fight it. Sharon will be keeping a much closer eye on me than my GP did. I should never been allowed to wean myself off a antidepressant without supervision. Cannot change it now so just going forward with what is in front of me. Its just gathering information at the moment. Sat and color coded the meds last night and labeled them . Lucky I had a set of colored felt pens.
I did call Melanie and shared what I know but will have to wait with Ian as he is so busy and occupied with the play, Just getting there from where he lives and across London every day is taxing him to the limit. Then he has at least two other jobs that I cannot talk about in the ether. Plus one more Mark Twain book to finish doing the audio for.
I have no expectations at this point so keep the hankies in the pocket. Its serious but we do not know how serious yet.

| Afternoon......lovely day but still cold out of the sun. I've told Sue she must have my silver bracelet which I had bought for me when I was a bridesmaid at Bob and Margaret wedding when I was 12, and Susan wore for her wedding something old and something borrowed. she had a blue bow sewn under the hem of her dress. People will buy those dolls Carole. Oh you dafty Bond but I agree passport photos are grim, you can't smile, you're going off on holiday why wouldn't you be smiling. | |
