| Matthew's been here which was lovely......he's enjoying being at Uni, made some great mates, did well at his first year exams, which wasn't a surprise, talked about whether to go to Teachers training but he was saying the pros and cons, then talking about going into Insurance my SIL had said to Matthew they're crying out for good maths students, though the Country is crying out for Maths Teachers. None of his Uni friends are doing Maths.
Right later......

| Hi all ,yes the Morgan top of the range wheel on each corner are a thing of beauty with the long flowing wheel arches On the tour we were on was a Man that had been on the waiting list for years and he knew his was being built (all hand built ) so he came on the tour in the hope of seeing it ,if it had been in the spray area he wouldn't as the tour didn't go there, There is still some wood in the frame but the main part is a big lump of metal/aluminium? But they have to get the wood from a different area than the used too as with all the wars and fighting that's gone on they have found lumps of metal and bullets hidden in the wood that they don't see until the saw hit them and ruins the blade , John had a beautiful silver grey with red upholstery one stored in his garage for a friend's dad that was having work done at his house | |

| Not my cup of tea either Carole but only around 800 cars built a year, the Morgan company have been going since 1909 ........it is a status symbol though, you go on a waiting list to get a Morgan. it's about £70,000 to £90,00 But I agree with you it's not my cup of tea. Yes Margaret and Bond I can imagine owners looking at it as a fighter plane White scarf flying. leather cap, googles Avatar.....more cars and you can see the Morgan badge on the building. Though the photo is a bit dark. These are more like a sports car though the 3 wheeler are more popular. Oh Matthew is popping over ........he's had a holiday with some Uni mates, in this country, | |

| Dannys wife's father (In the US) bought one of those 3 wheelers and had it done up as a wingless plane with all the decals on it! He ever wore a leather helmet while driving it! Flaps flowing in the wind. He passed away a couple of years ago so i guess they sold it but it was a sight to see him driving it out on the main highway! | |

| I found the large magnifying glass in the storm bag in my car. I set that up at the beginning of the storms we had here. It was just basis stuff, a pair of hiking boots, a Pack a Mack (Still got mine) and a AAA paper map of the local area. I put the magnifying glass in there to read the street names if I got caught somewhere I was not familiar with. I also put some Snickers bars in there, which after all this time had melted to mush! Good job I put them in a jiffy bag! The small magnifying glass is still AWOL! One has to be prepared if the wifi goes out and the iPad or mobile won't work. I am more the country girl stock, never looked fetching in a swimsuit. Thighs were too fat and when us girls had a diet contest at work ,I weighed the most even after following the same diet plan as the rest of them. My natural weight was 140lbs, got down to 137lbs but it would not stay there even with all the cycling I was doing. Peter and I did a lot of dancing in those days too. Every week it was the Locarno or the ballroom at the then new Police station. We are talking about Jiving! along with the Foxtrot and Quickstep. During rainy days at school when we could not go out for PE, we did Scottish Country Dancing in the big assembly hall. I should have been wafer thin! | |

| Hi Vicky, excite me as much as you can I'll put up with the cough and keep taking the lemon and honey, When we only had John we had a holiday in Ibiza Almost all the beach was topless but a group of Scandinavian girls came down jeans flying jackets Cost and cowboy boots and take the lot off just folding their knickers into a small V to cover their lady garden ,so no tan lines .

| Hi Guy's......and it's rain, stop, rain, stop. dry at the moment. Oh going topless was nothing to do with being a good girl Carole just felt "I don't think so" though I did go without a bra when I wore a silky blouse, before Susan was born so I was in my early 30's onwards. but topless but I went to France and sitting on the beach with lots of topless women I thought it was silly not to. No I was sating I used to say "I'm not that sort of girl" because I just wasn't that sort of girl, and if I ever did my gran would kill me, until I was 19, almost 20 and I just thought "Oh why not" and so did, Oh well Carole just think of the Hay Wain and that's the photo, though more up to date, steps now going down to the water where the Hay Wain didn't have but same cottage there. Lovely Bridge Bond and do keep taking the lemon and honey etc/ We'll have try and not excite you. We like your waffling, Margaret. Later...... | |

| I think my Dad was hoping I would work at Armstrong Siddeley. Not on your Nellie! Having him looking over my shoulder for 8 hours was not on. I told the lady at the Youth Employment Center that I would be willing to go almost anywhere else but there! She warned me that AWA was not taking any more trainees but in my case she thought it was worth a try.
As it turned out I took some drawings I had done in art school on perspective and having 3 aunts who were tracers at other companies. gave me a head start. I was on probation for 6 months. I had to practice, practice, practice! Also, I was the runner taking the original drawings along with the completed tracings out to the mainly male drawing and stress office. I did the tea and batch runs too. Luckily, I never got sent to the tech place for a left -handed screwdriver! ( All the male trainees went through that bit of nonsense)
The Leader of our Hen Run as it was known thought I had promise. so did the whole 3 year qualification. There must have been about 300 men working in that converted hanger. We did not have a proper tracers office but a partition wall with windows. so we had to walk down the whole office to get to the ladies room. We were watched by a load of chicken hawks! We even became part of the stress program by walking over one of the metal floor plates for the Argosy with our stiletto heels! It was an experience I look back on fondly. After Peter completed his degree at Cranfield, we both went back there to work again, this time the tracing section was in the Missile side.
I also worked on the Lofting tables for a while. A left over from the navy days where you drew on the steel plates on a group of tables. I was made to wear a white Lab coat to keep my petticoats from going up when I leaned down to draw on the plates! (I was working on my knees most of the time)
I was not aware I was giving them a peep show! The company was owned by a nice quaker man who did not understand women wanting to work in trousers!
Its 70f here and partly sunny here, it's still quite humid but it is early yet. High tide warning along our coast, 7 foot waves are not usual here.
The wildfires we have in S California are all under some control or are being ground burned to keep the trees safe. The fire map on my computer looks like the Pacific Coast states are coping with a lot of fires but we have some of the best firefighters in this country working them.
It's all done with a mutual aid agreement between all fire departments. If anyone has a spare vehicle and crew, they send them. You would not believe the on location backup at the really big fires. Its tent city! (In a safe location I might add) Food and water is donated and phone service is provided. Usually, it's cool shaded place to rest. Enough waffling, time to get cracking here. Love to all.

| Oh no Margaret it took me until I was 40 that it was ok off with my bikini top.
Oh I was very "Stop it I'm not that kind of girl" though I think I gave that impression anyway so only a few guys tried it, and got the "I'm not that kind of girl" my Gran would of killed me. I can honestly say I didn't do anything until I was 19.
I have gone topless in the back garden since the kids have left home, you can't see into the back garden.......unless you're up a tree. Though that's out now with all the workmen about next door.
New avatar .....this photo was taken by Rob in 2018 when he had to go to look at a job and this is where John Constable painted the Hay Wain.

| I was too self conscious to do anything that daring. I guess it was a form of protection, did not want to be caught doing anything that could get back to my dad! (Old prudy pants who never wore underwear!) I was at school until I was 15 and then started at AWA in Whitley only weeks later. Never been let off the leash! The young trainees and apprentices were as wet behind the ears as I was! Too much at stake to be wild and crazy. We could not afford to go anywhere. I started going out with Peter only 3 months later. I had heard wild stories about his time in Germany at a mixed Boarding school (for children of military serving in the British zone as it was then) so was not going to allow him to get up to any Hanky Panky. I had my rules and one of those was to keep my clothes on! (except when at a swimming pool.)
I had heard too many stories of other girls being talked into doing "stuff" and then being dumped. ( I worked in an area with 20 other women who were Tracers) No women engineers in those days. After being at a mixed school but separated by classes and playgrounds, I did not trust any male! Peter and I could never afford holidays while in the UK. We might stay at his parent's house for a few days but that was like being at my house! It took having money here for us to sightsee all the usual places that other people went to.

| Sorry a bit late but been sitting on my pitty pot for a while. ( A quaint expression for feeling sorry for yourself) I find if I allow myself to feel the feelings even if for only a short time, I feel better.
Its one of "those" days here, cat won't eat, cannot find my magnifying glass and the TV is on the blink again. I can solve the cat food problem by buying more of what she is crazy about right now. (That might last until tea time) Office supply shop is right round the corner from PetSmart! (Magnifying glass) The TV remote has no written instructions on how to reset it. So off to the Spectrum place at noon which is when they open on Sundays. (It has 3 tiny lines of print on the back but its instructions might as well be in Double Dutch!) I cannot tell without a magnifying glass! I would guess that the humidity is at the same level as the temperature at the moment. 73f and 73% Ocean temperature is around 68f in the bay. On a good day its 72f, Bath water temps! It's much cooler out in the open ocean of course. If I was you Bond,I would keep the Budgie catchers on. Cannot frighten the kiddies you know. Out here the trend is for the women to show more of what they have up top! Some do not look good with them up under their chins! You can certainly tell who has had a Boob job now.
I think it's time I went and looked in my car for the magnifying glass. TTFN XXX
