| Yes Bond I love my hair, I'd just said to AJ "You know how you're always saying how you'd love to cut my hair....well do it" and she said "Where's my scissors before she changes her mind" I said I won't.....and she cut it.
I'm off to bed.
Night......pray for both sides. Not Hamas though they're just terrorist, like the Taliban, and others. Also pray for Ukraine.
Hate to think it but we don't know who is coming onto these shores.

| The world is going through a stage of crazy things happening. Both man made and natural. Israel had all its citizens have military training just because of the threats made on them over time. The invaders probably amassed in Lebanon. which is awash with hate groups of all kinds. All in favor of wiping out all Jews. Mainly because of their protection by the US. The current government in Israel is very right wing, meaning Warbirds not doves. The way they treat the Palestinian population is bad. building more Jewish settlements on their land and refusing medical care across the border areas. It takes a permit and permission to cross their border for medical care. It's the same for food. Its a limited supply allowed at a time. These are people who at one time lived next door to each other in Harmoney. It is a bloodbath each time Hamas does its thing. I tend not to watch a lot of the coverage. One wrap up a day is enough for me. These Arab countries only know one way to take over a country is mass killings.

| Those little kids, Babes and young children, being beheaded and burnt alive have done nothing to anybody they need to be spoken up for. Hamas have always been thugs, they want a war, like Putin "See see it's not our fault but those nasty people" Sorry but those dancing in the streets at what the thugs are doing to those babies should be ashamed of themselves.

| All those people know is to kill any and all opponents to their type of crusade. The problem between the Jews and Arab nations started back around WW1 when 3 nations wanted to bring down the Otterman Empire to capture all the oil leases there were. and draw lines on a map and create a homeland for the Jews. (The pressure was already there to do that)
I don't know how much support they can get from Russia who is running out of equipment and men to fight the Ukraine. Putin talks out of both sides of his mouth.
The Palestinians have been kept under the thumb of the Jews for many years and the threats from Lebanon and their blood thirsty groups has been going on for years also. It has just not been known in the Western press as much. (It would curtail tourist traffic to Israel and other places that need tourist $$$. to survive.) That area has just suffered the worse earthquakes known, and all the aid is going to those countries who have better relationships with the US. I think it shows provocation to send a US warship closer to the coast of Israel. This country has taken in large numbers of Jews over the years and Los Angeles has a large group of them. I feel for them and their relatives but its putting more coal on the fire to my way of thinking. Time for breakfast here. Slept a little better last night so might get some more done here today. | Yes I agree Vicky ,Putin has been bombing residential areas but when the Ukrainian people fired rockets into Russia he was NOT happy They said today that Israel was ready with thousands of men getting ready to move into the Gaza strip From what they also said the people living in Gaza are 80% living in poverty ,it's just the Hamas terrorists who are doing all this Oh oh Bond your going to have to go in disguise around Vickys then . . . I got out and did the grass lots of leaves starting to fall now I DREAD THIS time of the year with all those massive four\five story high Trees behind us Sunny right now temp only 55f ,lol got some weird looks when I popped to the bank after from people as I only wore a tee shirt and my long pants ,no jacket _________________ Carole B [i]

| Good afternoon all it's just started raining again here not much now Well Vicky where am I going to hide now they have hacked the the big bushes down at the corner of your street , They were thick and tall enough to hide behind I've just been over to Bedworth ( it's raining over there's,the has splashed so engine oil On his white wall in the garage, well to hear him talk it sounded like the engine oil from the queen Mary ,not a couple of dozen spots but they needed painting out with some oil based paint after a little soap scrub, it took longer to get the lid off the paint and remove the skin ,but I did get a fun size Mars bar out of it , This shelter is dead opposite our hotel in Weymouth,we used to go and set in it before breakfast and watch the world go by , A couple of mornings we were joined by a nurse Who sat there for ten minutes before her shift, She brought her own coffee in a flask to set her up for the day ahead | |

| Afternoon waiting for Asda and then we're off to get a coffee and tea.....we do our own lunch. It was raining early hours but then dried up, so lunch time Benjie was walked in the dry. Yes it's like Putin he can send in the bombs but if Ukraine sent bombs in it would be WW3 and Hamas are doing the same but if they are getting away with it, and when you hear about the children it just makes you feel Hamas must be stopped. Babies and young children taken away your blood boils. We know 17 Britain's have either been killed or they're missing. Good photo Carole | |

| 05:12:41 Morning Bond Had a lie in today as with Spencer not working this week Blaine has been getting up later not having to rush to vacate the SO I was RIGHT you have ..... did your "Carol" tell you it looks like you will have it for the next THREE DAYS you may have had rain all night Bond but looks like the heaviest in Nuneaton will not start until around 11:15am then continue through Friday' Every time we put the TV on now its showing you all the TERRIBLE killings in Israel WHOLE families slaughtered not just to death but they found children beheaded it looks like ..... WHY is what I am SAYING WHY Now they are saying they will kill a hostage if Israel keeps bombing into Gaza and yet THEY are still sending rockets into Israel still We have a LOT of Israel'ies living here in CT and they are starting to collect not just $$ but items that the people now cannot get ,one lady was saying her son and daughter in law were both soldiers and said they had no food or personal items they need like soap toothpaste etc so it showed last night people collecting all these items filling duffel bags 500 of them and got them to the airport to be flown over Also showed a load of the last people able to leave Israel arriving here with terrible stories Another lot have their sons/daughters attending schools/colleges there and who are now sheltering in bunkers trying to stay alive WHAT A NIGHT MARE We have a nice day weather wise again and should be warmer than its been but it will not last as that is still coming Saturday possibly into Sunday , so depending on how my hip feels I may go run the mower over the back grass this morning as for what ever REASON my hip as been acting up this week as I tell people "sad when one gets old" as one thing feels better SOMETHING else fills the space too bad we do not have garages for old bodies to get parts replaced like our cars when they get old OH HOLD ON WE DO If your HAVE the MONEY Marge glad the roof work is all taken care of at least so you can feel better should you get any heavy Hope you also got the info for the microwave and your "Ive fallen and cannot get up" gadget down pat Bet Tabitha is happy its all quiet again only until the end of the month though Buddy has been wanting to lay and sleep on my chest all week ,not sure if its because of the cooler weather we have been having or if he is going through a "needy moment" in his "old age" OK time to get on Blaine is up now Nice mother and daughter photo Vicky I shall pop in later _________________ Carole B [i]

| Oh spot on Margaret it's just plain rude to bother them when they're in a restaurant or with friends/family. Susan and Jessica just thought "Wow and nobody is looking at him" but to bother him is a no no, and as you know I wouldn't even go to the stage door to say "Hi" to Ian. I have at times got an autograph but that's when other people have queued up to get an autograph ........and they looked pleased to be signing one. Ah Bond in Egypt, specially in and around Cairo, houses never get finished because if they did they pay tax. Well that's what our guide told us when someone asked why the houses weren't finished, though that was in 2001 I think it was changed later and the Egyptians just built and built and nobody stopped them. | Roof repair is finished. The proof will be the first time we have heavy rain. They took photos of the damage and the repairs. Its looks good. Final cost was $4,020 (that included the wood replacement on the flat roof) One job down and the HVAC next. I still need the mountain ash tree trimmed. Not for me but for my neighbor whose yard has branches hanging over their patio. The scrub is growing again on the hill, its up to the level of the top of the fence once again. Don't think it would be wise to cut it down to ground level again until spring. It's those roots that are protecting the hill. We get our share of stars here too. We do not bother them as they need their time off as well. Disneyland is where we see them with their children. They have their favorite restaurants as well as we do. I have never seen anyone go up to get an autograph while they were eating. Or take sneaky photos. We do not have the same amount of theatres that NY has. Here its mainly films and TV shows. You see crews filming on location that pop up all over the place. Our high schools and shopping mall and beaches are used a lot.

| Susan and her friend Jessica stayed in NY for 2 weeks, their yellow cab driver told them to close their eyes and open them when he told them to, they were a bit "Why?" anyway they did and then he said "Open your eyes" and there in front of them was Manhattan all lit up, fantastic view. ....it was night time. They went into this bar in NY and Jessica went to find a table and Susan went to the bar and she was just about to be served and a guy said "Could I lean over your shoulder?" and Susan turned and this actor {I'm getting David to text Susan to find who the actor was} Freddie Prinze Jr was leaning right over Susan's shoulder, when she turned she was almost kissing him, Jessica said "You were almost kissing Freddie Prinze Jr" Susan said "I know, I daren't breath or he'd know how close I was"....both of them drooling. and couldn't understand how other females wasn't even looking at the actor. I don't think she'd met Matt. Oh I came from Bolton Margaret, well Moses Gate really but that was between Farnworth and Bolton but nearer to Bolton. | |

| The blokes did arrive around 9am yesterday and worked almost nonstop until about 5pm. Guess they will be back today to finish off. They found some rotted wood in the flat roof of the room addition, It was only small patches in two places so they replaced the wood before putting the new roof surface on it.
Ny cat sat on my lap as much as she could during the day as it sounded like the hammering was over our heads but it was due to there being no drop ceiling in the garage which is attached to the room addition on one side. It magnified the sound.
Not a lot of fog this morning, just the usual mist which will burn off in a couple of hours. Manhattan is an island in NY proper but land there is at a premium so most of the skyscrapers are there. Aside from central park there are not a lot of green places. You do not realize just how tall they are until you see it from the top of the Empire State building. It looks like a city of tiny, tiny people and cars. It feels like you are in a low flying plane. We had two days in NY on our way back from the UK after our postponed 50th anniversary trip. We were going by train to Chicago to ride the Amtrak, train back to LA. We had planned a boat trip around the harbor to see the statue of Liberty but a storm blew through bringing thunder and lightning so no boat trip. We had passed by the statue on the Queen Mary 2 on the trip from NY to Southampton. We had left after dark so the skyline was ablaze with lights. I think I know what it must have been like for those people forced to leave their home country for an unknown future.
Ellis Island was the port of entry for all the ships coming to NY. Even one of my relatives families lived in NY for a short while, before leaving for Canada with 6 children, all born in Northampton. Both of my great, great grandparents Guest are buried in upstate NY. Only managed to trace one of their children so far. Their eldest child stayed in the UK. he lived and worked in Bolton.
My family tree has branches in Canada and Australia and us here. Even Peter has a cousin who emigrated in the mid 30s with a mate at the age of 18. to Australia. I have two cousins who emigrated there in the 60s. (Not from the same parents and not at the same time.) Time to stop waffling and get cracking here. TTFN xx

The places I highlighted were who got flooding They are trying to address the situation both there and in other places but that will all take time and with New York "SINKING " so much every year that in its self is a PROBLEM Boston got a lot of flooding too we ALL did this year A REALLY weird weather year over here from EXTREME PROLONGED HEAT to the EXCESSIVE So fingers crossed Besides Bond YOUR up early too aren't you? Yes Carole I saw the floods in New York with the cars flouting by, but that wasn't the norm was it? Anyway Andy is running the New York Marathon, and the girls are doing the 5k. Andy is going to Toyo next I think, they've asked Susan and Matt to go with them but she'd rather go somewhere else in America, think she said Boston Ok back later

I was a cashier in a family dress store, big place it was, I was trying to remember the name, anyway the money used to woosh up the tube, it was fun, though the 2 girls I worked with were nasty, I stuck it out for months then I said "Ok you win" and went and gave my notice in....I later found out they'd bullied other girls into giving their notice in. How's your tum Carole. Oh they don't want it hot in NY so rain is good, Andy is running the New York Marathon, I'm not sure about Matt, whether he's running it also or doing a 10k but I know the girls are doing a 5k run. So they do not want it either hot or even warm. Andy is doing I think it's 6 round the wold marathons Avatar....Susan and Matt with a certain horse having a drink.

| You Guessed right Carole. I also have my Emergency alert device as well. Ian also fixed the TV remote and changed the cable boxes around so that the one in the living room is the one to record on.
I am on here early as I don't know what time the roofer will be here. Just moved a few items under the ceiling exhaust from the top of the stove and small countertop next to it. Just so I can cover it up the stove top with a plastic cloth. It's a thick fog alert here this morning.
Fed the cat already so she can run under my bed later when the man arrives. I need to move her feeding station and water bowl out of the kitchen also. I always prep work areas by removing all small items so as to give workmen plenty of room. It will be mostly outside work but with the exhaust tube open to the sky, there might be some dust involved. All the ventilation vents are original to the house but not had a problem with any of the others.
Ian cleaned out all the gutters for me but I still feel that some might leak in heavy rain. Just have to wait and see I guess. I have the information for a handyman and an electrician through the landlord of the Air B &B he stayed at. They live not far away and only work part time as they are retired. They are experts on old houses like mine. The big job will be the cleanup and installation of the new HVAC system. that is set for the 28th and 29th of this month. We are lucky that we do not get really cold weather here. It can feel cold at night during the so -called winter months here but nothing like the frost or ice that other areas get. Snow is a rare sight below a certain altitude here. Hail is something we see once in a blue moon. I have only seen it twice here where we live since we moved in here. Going to get washed and dressed and have a light breakfast. See you all on the flip side. XXX

| no one here guessed about 9/11 did they. Just the usual secret chatter was heard.
All the folks going to take over and fly the planes were all in flight schools in the US already.
It was only the CCTV cameras that caught them entering the country at different airports after the event. It was a big black eye for the secret services here. Its partly the fault of the government not paying the money needed to keep the safety and security of the country at the highest level. The privately owned high tech companies are way ahead of the resources the government is using. Once more it's all about the $$$.
The members of the US government would rather spend money on cosmetic projects in their own states to look good than fund a heavy -duty security system for the whole country. It's been stone walled so many times, its never been acted on. Its right next to the bill restricting certain kinds of guns. They can "Table" bills for years before something happens to change their minds. It's an attitude of "Lets leave it in someone else's lap".
I would guess that the Jewish ultra conservative party in power now in Israel, thought they could handle anything. It does not pay to be so cocky. I always heard that every man and woman does National Service in that country to prepare for situations such as this. Their secret service, The Mossad is supposed to the best in the world! Israel does like poking the Palestinians constantly. They treat them with no humanity whatsoever. It's a shame that the US seems to be siding with the Israel side at this point.
It's quite foggy here again this morning, can just see beyond my fence right now. Up several times in the night to visit the pink throne, must remember to not drink fluids after 8pm. Time for breakfast here. Then it's hitting the information booklets that came with the new items I have. TTFN XXXX

| I think what I meant was the other brand has a limited use area it covers.
Talking about toys, The first thing that Ian was attached to, was a toy car. He had to carry it around instead of a soft toy. He was fixated on the Batman TV series while still in the UK. (It was his first word!) When we lived in a rented town house on our arrival, We bought him a Bat mobile, which he took on one of our beach outings and promptly buried it in the sand! We never found it again. Bet he wished he had it now. Ian had a set of Dinky cars which, must be here somewhere, and a formula 1 racetrack set of race cars with the car carrier. (they were the little green bean looking ones) Stirling Moss era. Later, he had sets of Hot Wheels and race tracks all over the house. Some of those are well played with. We don't have any of the ones that are fetching top $$ these days (In fine condition) He does have a few pre production ones made to test the assembly line. Our neighbor was a tool maker at Mattel's factory, only a few miles away from where we live now, in Inglewood. The workers used to test the toys on their own kids at home before being manufactured. We gave away some of the larger vehicles, to the Children's ward at the local hospital. There was a rideable Texico fuel truck and some metal Jeeps and a dump truck. (They had an indoor sand pit in a wading pool) Boys played in it for hours. You would never guess how ill some of them were, Nothing wrong with their imaginations.
Ian deserves a medal for all the work he did here in just 10 days. Some were an easy fix but some took longer than others. I am taking it easy today and resting up for the Roof guy on Monday. I have homework to do, reading the instruction leaflets to 3 new items. I also have some laundry to do and finding hangers for the Jeans and slacks I need to put in the built -in closet. There are some at the bottom of a box in the bedroom.
Those two sides have been sniping at each other for years! Remember the 6 day war? The Jews have been trying to take over land that the Arabs have traditionally called theirs by building settlements on it. Just to go shopping for food is a series of search and stop posts to enter forbidden territory. At this stage, its not who started it or who is in the right but its a humanitarian crisis right now and it has been for a long time.
Overall, both sides had lived for many years as neighbors with no major problems until the occupation by the Brits. There are always groups of decenters everywhere but partition never cures anything. I don't want to start a discussion about it, just making a comment. One of my Uncles by marriage was stationed there in about 1947/48.
