| When you said to my son "Well we never knew" he text to you WITH TONGUE IN CHEEK {Avatar} "Well I didn't know until the day after she went into hospital and that was when Susan told Steve and me" he thought you'd know he was joking, you didn't ask him why and he was surprised at that.....but no you came galloping on here.....Rob has a dry sense of humour and specially when he is worried As my husband said ON HERE I wasn't rushed into hospital until three mins to midnight so of course Rob and Steve didn't get to know until the day after......David had more things on his mind to phone all 3 kids up that's why he phoned Susan. I asked Steve, who is the eldest, if he minded Susan phoning him and not his Dad and he said "Good heaven's Mum Dad would have so much on his mind of course I didn't mind, and neither would Rob"
I don't tell Rob or Steve if my tum is playing up, BUT IF IT'S SERIOUS THEN WE DO.......when David went into Hospital I phoned them all up and told them, but a cold, tummy upset, things which aren't serious no the boys don't know, Susan does because she phones every day.
No guys as I said my blood pressure will not take anymore.

| Memories ......as the posting showed, didn't differ though Margaret. {I copied ALL the postings, so it's word perfect} Carole was doing what Carole likes to do "Play the innocent one" with Malc. Trouble is I keep quiet until pushed.......and that's what Carole banks on. Oh what's the use......believe what you like Margaret Well I'm not coming on here for a while.....my blood pressure can't take it and you or Carole aren't worth making myself worse Oh btw my daughter had said if Bond or you Margaret had got in touch with her she'd tell you why I'm not on the site......of course that was before your second posting, today's posting. She said "Forget it"

| Sorry I had to play mother yesterday but I learned that when you get angry you do not bring the past into it. As the late Queen said, memories may differ. we only get to see things from our point of view. not anyone elses. I do not have a photographic memory, most it is just right fighting not solving the real problem. New Day, new Page. I have a Dentists appointment at 10 am for a cleaning, I get terrible plague on my front lower teeth. It's only been six months since my first visit after the pandemic. Hopefully the rest will be cleaned off today. My Dentist is the first one who did not frighten me, so been going to him ever since! One of his specialties is childrens dental so I feel right at home. Some of the paintings in the Wallace collection cover whole walls . One has to stand by the opposite wall to take them all in. To be able to see all the tiny details up close is amazing too. they also have a good collection of armour. Time to leave now, hope when I come home, I will be ready for another 5,000 meals! TTFN | |

| Lovely weather out there, we went out got a tea and coffee and brought a cake back. I hear Charles is going to put Topiary in the garden Bond........should be good. Susan had to apologise for me to Lynne, {Susan came up here on the Friday before I came out of hospital} I owed Lynne an email, and of course not able to get in touch being in hospital I couldn't do anything, though I've still got an email to Jan to send though. Can't sit here for too long, maybe it'll be easier to ........ each day and got the latest low down She brought me a lovely plant, that's I'm talking about. Two nurses coming here Thursday and then I've to go and have a scan on my Liver Liver Liver but I don't drink anyway that's Friday. Oh well.......later. | |

| Keeping a grudge for so long is not healthy for anyone. forgiving misunderstandings is part of everyday living. Especially on a chat site. where meanings can take on a life of their own. It is not normal what you expect of us, keeping us in the dark. Of course we do not want a blow by blow account but normal people do explain why in simple terms when and why they are not posting. Carole is very sensitive to having her intent questioned when she worries about people who she has looked on as friends. for such a long time. You can only play by the rules if you know what the rules are. Its not a failing to get sick. it happens all the time.
My daughter Melanie has had at least 12 surgeries to do with her Crohn's. Her gut has been rearranged so many times plus the scar she has from her left side over her back from the surgery she had at 7 years old for a heart defect! There is no way Peter could have hidden that he had MS or Prostate cancer. there were therapy groups for both and was told to be open about it to people he could trust. I understand that it is a personal choice that you live by and I respect that. You do not need to keep pounding on Carole for every misdeed. We all make mistakes, no one is perfect (keep saying that to yourself)
i know this will probably lead to two pages of reasons why but I don't want to hear or see it and would not read it either. you cannot rationalize it in any way.

| Towns or cities seem to put more and more obstacles in the drivers way and then they're moaning about the shops going under what do they expect. Oh yes I'm still alive Margaret.......have to say your daughter really is going through it. poor Melanie it's one thing after another with her, and being her Mum you feel it each time. | |

| "ATTENTION !!!!! I committed the ULTIMATE SIN and asked Vickys son Rob if she was ok Seems not ,she's been in the HOSPITAL had a blood transfusion He spoke to her yesterday shes home but weak The only reason HE KNEW anything is Sue found out and told HIM I told him what is it about the Peachey family everything so HUSH HUSH Any way at least we know now she's still ALIVE although maybe not
My job is done"
Was that you being a caring friend? How do you think I felt when I came on here in August, after being seriously ill. and read the stuff being said on here, by my so called "Friends".....untrue stuff You didn't even find out the facts you came rushing on here spreading things which were not true, the fact that I got rushed into hospital 3 mins to midnight Carole how the hell was Rob to find out about it except the next day?????? and Susan was told by her Dad as he was rushing to the hospital asking her to let her brothers know, so she didn't "Find out" her Dad told her asking her to phone her brothers and let them know. Which she did. And that is the reason my kids won't speak to you now.. .

| It is a relief to see you are still in the land of the living, Vicky. Of course, we were concerned not hearing from you in such a long time. That was only natural. It used to take weeks for a letter to get to America from the UK by land and ship and then there was airmail! Now it is instant connection by the internet! Its great not having to worry about the time difference anymore. It's a big day here, just like the FA Cup! It's the two top American football teams playing for a title. Most of the country will be watching. None of the teams I follow are in it this time.
My daughter is having health problems with the Crohn's disease at the moment so will have to have more tests to see if it is the new connection between her stomach and intestine where a cyst was growing on the outside of her stomach which was causing so much pain. not much left of her intestines at this point, only about 15 inches. The cyst was removed when she had surgery to clean up scar tissue about 5 years ago now.
She must be so tired of seeing the inside of the UCSF hospital which is a five hour drive from where she lives. It is one of the largest places that specialize in this and other diseases like it. I know she is in good hands. She is turning 61 this year. and she has been dealing with this since she was 18! She was hoping that she and her husband Jim could drive down to spend her birthday with me this year. Thats on hold right now. I cannot go up there as I have an elderly cat (15) who cannot be left alone with just anyone. Lorna is not here anymore to do the honors.
Do take care of yourself Vicky and hope you are in better shape soon. Loved going to art shows with Peter. We went to the Wallace collection on our last trip to London. TTFN XXXX

| Good afternoon all, just back from the MAC , Well we all went we were taken by Michael,Sara and Emmett and they paid for the lunch it was a treat for mrsbs birthday, she is a big big fan of Grayson Perry, on paper she is more questions on art than me as she took GCE art and art history, Most of the art work was by artists that sent work into his TV program, Grayson is a potter with his wife so there was also their work that they did on the program,we took Emmett a walk around the big park that backs onto the MAC ,so we had hardly got out of Birmingham and he was asleep in his seat , I need a coffee before I'm Lovely to see you back Vicky | |

Nice to see you popping in Malc.

| I sure got a lot done after having my hair done. I went to the Petco (just down the road in the next shopping center) and filled 3 large jugs with cat litter. Came home for some lunch and then went to the grocery store (only one street away) and filled 4 large bags plus a 4 pack of tissues and one of toilet rolls. Still need a pack of light bulbs from the DIY place. I like soft white not the bright white ones. I use 60 watt mostly but the kitchen ones are 100 watt. I stay away from shopping on the weekend, too many ding-a-lings out on the roads and in the shops. Big Super Bowl final on tomorrow so everyone will be stocking up for sitting watching that. crates of beer and snacks are the order of the day. While Cindy is using my large regular rubbish bin, she has loaned me her smaller one for now. luckily, I bag all the kitchen waste anyway. but I have two of those waiting to go outside. She is in the middle of remodeling her kitchen over there, and has already filled two skips worth and rubbish bins. Like me, she found that the original fitted cupboards wasted a lot of space. Lorna had done many alterations inside the house to suit her taste but needed to be redone. It was up in the 70s yesterday. They were forecasting light rain but that has evaporated with the low humidity level. I am suffering from such dry skin, my hands feel like claws! I do have some cream for it but will wait until I have had my breakfast. I have a few things to hand wash first. TTFN XXXX Vicky, we miss you | |

| when I order my checks (two different banks) They come in a binder so easy to find. I have two roll- away 2 drawer file cabinets under the built in desk in Peters office. And that is where they are kept. I do have to remember to use them in the right number order! Seems three Supercuts near me were not taking appointments yesterday. So going to call again this morning. It seems they had a lot of walk-in customers and not enough stylists! They all have slightly different hours. Some are open until 7pm and some close at 5pm. different opening hours too! One even has an hour off for lunch! It all seems to depend on if the stylist down for a certain time shows up. It's a franchise operation like Mc Donalds. but they must have stylists who are trained, and certified. They do not do perms, just cuts and color rinses. You get someone like me,it only takes 20 minutes. If someone has not had a haircut for a year, it can take over an hour and maybe more. It's nice and sunny this morning and the humidity level has taken a dive so need the saline nasal spray this morning. Its saying 64f on my computer weather page already at 8:45am! When Vicky is mad at us, she usually still posts on the footy page. I do not see any post on there since Saturday. She has either done a walkabout or is truly sick. We all have things happen in our lives that we are not ready to share. So, we wait and hope for the best. Emmett is growing by leaps and bounds, Bond. A real little boy now. Just don't spoil him too much! Carole just because you have a pain killing shot does not mean it's OK to overdo it like you normally do! At some point those shots will not be as effective as they are now. Then what will you do ? My neighbor Andy has now had two knee replacements! Cindy is going to have one soon as well. Mine are still holding up thank goodness. Time to clock on here so TTFN XXXXX | |

| Good afternoon /evening all I did go around the MIRA test track as a passenger at 130 mph in a Jaguar One time when I had been on the catering team at a test track in Oxfordshire for Rolls Royce,at the end of the day when all the rollers had been packed away and we had packed away the manager of the site said did the two of us drivers left did we fancy a go around the banked track He had to drive ,we set off level then as we started up the banking my mate slid along the seat into me the as we got up to around 100 mph we realize we were sitting level again,so we are shooting around the track the driver says now the car thinks it's going straight and he lets go of the wheel and folds his arms He said the Volvo drivers drop the seats flat and it looks like nobody is driving We did tell him we had seen enough thanks | |

| You all know the saying. the best laid plans of mice and men. Well, that was me yesterday. Got a call from someone who I have not heard from in ages and who loved to chat! Going to try for the hairdressers again today! Not going to answer the phone today to anyone! It can all go to the answer machine. Got my first _"Spam Risk" call this morning at 6am! it is usually a prerecorded message or it cuts off. Its mainly to do with the Govenors plan here of getting everyone to install Solar panels for no money up front. its only for certain postal zones and we are not on it! Other Solar panel companies are flooding the area, trying to sign us up. (No one else on the street has signed up so guess we are smarter than they give us credit for) Places that get a large amount of sun should have solar panels, but not at the cost that it is at present. Back in the 70s when everyone was into saving the earth all the start up solar companies were bought out by the electric companies to shut them down. Too much competition I guess. We, in this state are near the capacity of the power plants we do have. and more and more electricity being used to charge up electric cars and power more electronics at home. With 4 major electricity plants, why is one always offline during the hottest days for service? Its 63f here at 8:45am and the sun is out. It's probably going to be a sweater day, not a coat day. More high -speed crashes in and around LA during nighttime hours. More lives lost, because some idiot is trying to drive at 100 MPH on a main road! Why don't they go on the freeway! It's too much temptation when our roads are so straight. Never mind the traffic lights or pedestrian crossings or other cars going across all the junctions. It's always the innocent that pay with their lives. Not the stupid drivers! yesterday it was a new Corvette and a Mustang both cut in half, One dead in each car, it was the Corvette doing 100MPH! We know that because there were CCTV cameras that captured the whole thing! Big Reds top speed is 140 MPH but I have never driven him over 60MPH anywhere! BB does 180 MPH , never had her over 80MPH on a freeway out in the boonies. L learned to drive in a powerful car at the age of 26, in the rainy season with two kids in the back! On these very streets near where we live. I am one of the few drivers who still use their turn signals going left AND right! I know my hand signals too. Enough, I must get going here. Hope you had a wonderful day, Mine is just beginning. TTFN XXXX | |

| When Peter went on a trip to Egypt for his company, the Egyptian currency was no good outside Egypt so he had to change it before he left to come home. He saved enough for tips for the guides and brought a few clean notes home. Some looked like they had been used to wipe camels behinds with!) He also gave away his tie, pen and cap to the taxi drivers who drove him every day (they asked for those items) This was just before the then head of the country was killed. so in 1980 or so I believe. He was in the Sahara Desert, and I was in the Mojave Desert here! (Primitive camping with my Girl Scouts)
In our Southern deserts here, we have a huge bloom of our state flower. Its a form of low Poppy, orange in color and people are going mad to have their picture taken among them but are trampling them so all roads in have been closed. There are Poppy reserves in our northern deserts too, but they bloom later. It's all the rain we have had. There are also many wild forms of flowers we know from our garden varieties, like Lupins.
Turkey and Syria are no strangers to earthquakes but not this level. They have also been dealing with a drought situation, and now Sinkholes are appearing in places they have never had them before. We tend to think its the whole country but its only one portion near the Syrian border. They just do not have the amount of heavy equipment needed. Mexico has sent their famous search dogs that they use for their earthquake searches. The toll is going is going to be high.
Our weather pattern is all over the place so todays historic record looks like this. It has rained 11 times out of 30 times on this day in 30 years. Record rains for this date are 2.03 inches in 1993. record high is 86f in 2016 while average high would be 69f normally. Sun is out here but its only 54f right now, but it is early. Mid 60s are expected today. Front lawn is still drying out (north side of the house so in shade most of the day) We still have trees falling over but mainly in older areas of LA. It was the President's State of the Union address last night but I did not watch it. He is the oldest serving President we have ever had, and he thinks he can go another four years after this term is over!
Terrible price gouging here with BP and Shell making outrageous profits for their shareholders. its grab what you can while you can here. Now they want to tax us on the extra money we taxpayers got to help us through the worst of the pandemic! AND the IRS is saying people like me who usually get something back because I pay more taxes each month, will not get as much back this year. That is not right! Its tax deferment so i don't have to pay a whole bunch of taxes at tax time.
Its MY money and they owe what I over paid! TTFN XXXX

| Hi Carole, yes they would of had full insurance but like a lot you pay first then claim it back When we were in Egypt you had 10 of their pound to one of ours so if it was Egyptian it would of been £80 , the doc had said £100 a stitch and he had 8 stitches but we will see See you on your return all sharp | |

| I just read that that region had a 7.0 quqke in 1822 that caused at least 200,000 deaths! It depends how deep the epicenter is as to its destructive nature. The so called "plates" that cover the earth can cause earthquakes two ways. Ours here are slip and slide type and others are plates expanding and butting into each other. Our state has earthquake monitors near fault lines to catch any rumbling new or old. It can only give about 30 seconds warning now. Hopefully sometime in the future It will be able to give more warning. Our half of the state does not have any volcanoes thank goodness. Its been 52 years since the Sylmar quake that we felt just after our return to California from St Louis. We were in an upstairs flat over the garages so the Kids beds scooted right across their bedroom! Ian never woke up! All the real damage was north and east of downtown LA. We have had maybe less than half a dozen big quakes, since then. The smaller ones can feel like you are on a rowboat out on the ocean, or feel like a jolt with things moving but not falling down. We have earthquake straps on all our tall bookcases and China cabinet. Turkey and Syria are poor nations so many live in substandard conditions. By the way that some buildings crumbled, it's like they were made of sand! Sun is out here but it is only 59f but its early yet. got side-tracked yesterday so will try for the hairdressers today. I do have to go near there to refill the large jugs of cat litter anyway. It is also time to stock up on certain groceries again. It's a dollar cheaper to refill each one myself and cuts down on the number of plastic jugs I have to put in the recycle each week. Cindy still has my general trash can, and I have stuff to put in it. Bins go out today, so I can walk it over the road if I have to. TTFN XXXX | |

| It's up to thousnds now. They do not have many reinforced buildings, like we do here. Buildings that got shaken the first time with a 7+ got a second quake of 7+ which brought them down. They have not had quakes like this for over 200 years. I was reading our weather statistics and it has only rained 9 times on this date in 30 years! and the record is 1.98", in 2010. Record high for this date was 81f in 2006. (Average high is 69f ) Its 55f right now at 8:45am. Right now, it looks like a dry week ahead. (This total does not include the rain total we just had.) Some places had record amounts of rain but not here it seems. The high passes had bad wind driven snow yesterday and the CHP had a convoy system going over the Grapevine again. It's wide open now. Its snow chains only past a certain altitude in the Sierra mountains up near Melanie. (She lives below the natural snow line which is 7,000 ft. She lives at about 2,500 ft. (I still get altitude sickness when I go up there as I live at close to sea level) It just takes a couple of days to adjust. I see that the UK is going to start a fee to enter the country soon. Why don't they just have a visa system like other countries? it's so much simpler. I am going to assume it will not apply to those traveling on UK passports! What if you are a dual citizen! (Which is allowed!) Think I will apply for a UK passport! I just wish they wrote everything in everyday English instead of legal mumbo jumbo. I see where the US shot down the Chinese so called weather balloon out over the ocean. Do not know how it will sit with the Chinese. I just know they would do the same if it was a US balloon over China. You cannot tell me that they do not have Google Earth! The local news here is all about high -speed chases and car crashes. especially after dark (Not in our City) the number of innocent people being killed is crazy. One crash in volved a baby, a few months old in a car seat but not anchored down who was thrown several feet from the crash but did not survive. I trained my kids by telling them that the car would not start unless they were buckled in. (I would turn the key to acc which made everything light up but not let the engine start.) Sneaky old Mum! My cat is sunbathing at the moment, stretched out on the studio unit. I have one left and then I can put the dishwasher on as it full. After some breakfast I will try and get a same day appointment to get my hair cut. It's grown out in a weird way this time, I look like I have been dragged through a hedge backwards! TTFN XXXXX | |
